Gnome-one Like You Card by Tina Herbeck

Gnome-one Like You Card by Tina Herbeck | Gnome Garden Stamp Set, Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set, Tulips Stamp Set, Bleeding Heart Stamp Set, Land Borders Die Set and Frames & Flags Die Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

Spring in the Garden!

Today we have a beautiful garden scene created by Tina that combines several of our favorite spring stamp sets!

To create this scene Tina stamped the gnome from our Gnome Garden Stamp Set, the bunny from our Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set and flowers from our Bleeding Heart Stamp Set and Tulips Stamp Set. We love all the beutiful details she gave her coloring! She cut out the images using their coordinating die sets (Gnome Garden Die SetBitty Bunnies Die SetBleeding Heart Die Set, and Tulips Die Set).

The next step was the create a garden scene for all these fun images. She used our  Frames & Flags Die Set to cut out a panel with a scalloped edge. She cut out a second panel using the same die and then cut it again using the Land Borders Die Set to make a grassy edge on the bottom that perfectly lines up with the top of the card. She added distress ink in blues for the sky and greens on the grass. Some water splatters and ink splatters give a fun texture to the background too.

She assembled all the images over the background she created. The finishing touch is the sentiment, "There's gnome-one like you!" stamped into the sky using our Gnome Garden Stamp Set

Easter Card by Larissa Heskett

Easter Card by Larissa Heskett | Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set, Oval Frames Die Set, Newton's Easter Basket Stamp Set, Clouds Stencil and Land Borders Die Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

A Sparkly Easter Creation!

Today we are sharing a beautiful and sparkly Easter card by Larissa!

She created this fun easter scene by starting with the bunny from our Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set. She colored the bunny in neutral gray tones and added some speckled dot details to the fur. She cut the bunny out using the coordinating Bitty Bunnies Die Set. She colored a bunch of little eggs from the Newton's Easter Basket Stamp Set in various colors and cut them out using the coordinating Newton's Easter Basket Die Set. Then she created a BIG easter egg using our Oval Frames Die Set and added sparkle to it with
foils from Therm O Web and a sparkly bow. She also added a flower to the bunny  and a little bird to the bow using the Newton's Peeps Stamp Set.

She tucked all these elements into a fun Easter themed scene. To create the scene she used our Clouds Stencil for the cloudy sky and our Land Borders Die Set for the layers of grass. The scallop edged frame was die cut using our Frames & Flags Die Set. How adorable!!

Happy Easter Card by Zsofia Molnar

Happy Easter Card by Zsofia Molnar | Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set, Bunny Tails Stencil Set, and Oval Frames Die Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Happy Easter!!

Today we are hopping over to share this adorable Easter card by Zsofia

This card features and adorable bunny theme using just neutral colors for a fun Easter Greeting! She starts out by coloring bunny from our Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set in neutral browns. She cut the image out using the coordinating Bitty Bunnies Die Set. She also cut the "Happy Easter" Sentiment out using the bonus die from the Spring Pile Up Die Set. She added some ink to the bottoms of the letters to give it a fun dimension. Next, she cut out a scalloped oval using our new Oval Frames Die Set. The bunny and sentiment fit perfectly inside the oval together! She framed this oval with a larger oval cut from vellum, also using the Oval Frames Die Set

For her card base she created that fun bunny pattern using our Bunny Tails Stencil Set. This set is two pieces so it makes creating the two color pattern easy. First she inked up the stencil with the bunny silhouettes using a dark brown ink over kraft paper. Then she used the second stencil with the bunny tails with texture paste. What a fun way to add dimension to the background!
Happy Easter Card by Zsofia Molnar | Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set, Bunny Tails Stencil Set, and Oval Frames Die Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook
She really kept the color palette minimal on this, using just tones of browns and white. A piece of kraft toned bakers twine across the top with a bit of gold finishes the project nicely!

We hope you are inspired to create some Easter cards of your own! Why not try just using one or two colors for a beautiful and subtle look?

Flying Butterflies Card by Farhana Sarker

Flying Butterflies Card by Farhana Sarker | Captivated Kittens Stamp Set, Springtime Paper Pad, and Oval Frames Die Set by Newton's Nook Designs

Flying Butterflies!

Today we have a unique and creative card by Farhana featuring a kitty and butterflies that are suspended by fishing line!

For this card, she started by creating a card front with an oval window. She covered her card front with clouds using a printed paper from our Springtime Paper Pad. Then she cut the oval out of the center using our Oval Frames Die Set

Next, she stamped and colored the kitty with a butterfly net from our Captivated Kittens Stamp Set. She colored the kitty in neutral tones and used the coordinating Captivated Kittens Die Set to cut the image out. She added the kitty to the lower corner of the oval frame.

To create the fun suspended butterflies she stamped a bunch little butterflies from the Newton's Blooms Stamp SetGnome Garden Stamp SetDaffodils Stamp Set and Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set. She colored all these pretty butterflies, make two of each so they could be two sided. She cut them all out with the coordinating die sets.  Then she adhered them to fishing line, back to back, with the fishing line glued between them. Then she attached the fishing lines at the top and bottom. The little butterflies look as if they are suspended in the sky and can spin back and forth too! Here is an image of how that looks from the inside of the card:

And here is the finished card when it is closed. She also added the sentiment "Meow's it going?"  from our Captivated Kittens Stamp Set, stamped onto the stitched rounded edge banner from the A7 Frames & Banners Die Set

Bunny Hugs and Kisses Card by Tina Herbeck

Bunny Hugs and Kisses Card by Tina Herbeck | Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set, Heartfelt Love Stamp Set, Tumbling Hearts Stencil, and Heart Frames Die Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Bunny Hugs & Kisses!

Today Tina has created an a sweet bunny card that is perfect for sending loving wishes for Valentine's Day!

For this adorable card she colored two of the sweet bunnies from our Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set. She colored them in soft neutral browns and used the coordinating Bitty Bunnies Die Set to cut them out. She paired the bunnies with the big heart image from our Heartfelt Love Stamp Set. She stamped the big heart from this set, embossing it in white and cutting it out into a scalloped heart shape using the die from our Heart Frames Die Set. She added distress ink over the top  to give it a red to pink gradient. So pretty!
She also added the sentiment "hugs & kisses" from the Heartfelt Love Stamp Set, embossing it onto a black banner that was cut out using our Banner Trio Die Set

Then she added even more hearts - because you can never have enough hearts for Valentine's Day - onto her white background using our Tumbling Hearts Stencil. This heart texture was created by dry embossing the stencil onto the paper by pressing it through her die cutting machine.

Bunny Hugs and Kisses Card by Tina Herbeck | Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set, Heartfelt Love Stamp Set, Tumbling Hearts Stencil, and Heart Frames Die Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

This card turned out so cute! It's fun how you can make any image into a Valentine image, like she did with those sweet bunnies, just by pairing them with hearts! What will you create for this Valentine's Day?

Trio of Birthday Tags by June Guest Designer Melissa Andrew

Hi ya everyone!  Melissa here and I’m so excited to share my second project as a guest designer here at Newton’s Nook Designs!  I love creating tags as they are perfect for birthday presents.  For today’s tags, I used a number of Newton’s Nook items including; Frames and Flags Die SetClouds StencilNewton Loves Cake Stamp SetBitty Bunnies Stamp Set and Dainty Daisies Stamp Set

Trio of birthday Tags by Guest Designer Melissa Andrew | Bitty Bunnies and Dainty Daises Stamp Sets and Clouds Stencil by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

I started by first using a tag die cut I had in my stash and cut white card stock. (If you don't have a tag die set, Newton's Nook has a fun one called Fancy Edges Tag Die Set.)  I also cut the banner die from the Frames and Flags Die. I decided to create three tags total.

Birthday Tags by Guest Designer Melissa Andrew | Frames & Flags Die Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Next, I used my tag die to cut the top of the banner so they would add to my tags easily.  I did a few ink blended clouds on the banner tags using the Clouds Stencil from Newton’s Nook.

Birthday Tags by Guest Designer Melissa Andrew | Frames & Flags Die Set and Clouds Stencil by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

I then stamped images from the Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set and Dainty Daisies Stamp Set in a light colored dye ink.  I wanted to create a no line watercolor look, and a light dye ink works perfectly.  After stamping each bunny and three dainty daisies I used my watercolor pens to water color the images.  I did this on Bristol Smooth paper.

Birthday Tags by Guest Designer Melissa Andrew | Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Next, I fussy cut the bunnies and dainty daisies.  After fussy cutting, I cut the dainty daisies right in half.  I wanted each half for my tag.  I simply put them on my paper trimmer and cut them in the center.  I then adhered them to my inked banner.

Birthday Tags by Guest Designer Melissa Andrew | Dainty Daisies Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

I used the Happy Birthday sentiment from Newton Loves Cake and stamped on vellum with pigment black ink and then used a clear embossing powder.  I then used twine and ribbon to layer the banner onto the tag and then adhered the vellum around the entire tag.

Last, I added foam dots to the bunny images and popped them up on my tags.  I love the added dimension of the foam dots and it makes the bunnies the real star of the show!

I hope you enjoyed today’s birthday tag project and that you’ll join us again for more fabulous projects!

She colored both bunnies in shades of light brown using alcohol markers and cut the images out with the coordinating Hop Into Spring and Bitty Bunnies die sets.

Happy Easter Card by Larissa Heskett | Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set and Argyle and Plaid Stencil Sets by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

Happy Easter Bunnies!

This Easter bunny scene by Larissa is SOOOOO cute!! She created this adorable scene of bunnies using several different stamp sets together to create a bundle of cuteness! She started out with the bunny adorned with flowers from our Woodland Spring Stamp Set. She also used the bunny from our
Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set and mirror stamped it so that it would face toward the other bunny! If you've never tried this, pop over to Larissa's blog today for more details and instructions!

To create her scene she cut some layers of grass using our Land Borders Die Set. She added in the two bunnies along with some eggs and tiny flowers from the Bunny Hop Stamp Set. She also added in a chick from the Newton's Easter Basket Stamp Set. She inked a little blue in the sky behind them and added the "Happy Easter" Die cut sentiment using the Spring Pile Up Die Set. The whole panel that the scene is on was cut out using the  stitched rectangle from our Frames & Flags Die Set.

In the background she created a gorgeous pattern using our Plaid Stencil Set in pink and purple. Spring Kitty and Flowers Card by Tatiana Trafimovich

Just Because Spring Kitty and Flowers Card by Tatiana Trafimovich | Autumn Newton Stamp Set and various other Stamps and Dies by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

Just Because it's Spring!

Today Tatiana took a stamp set that was meant for fall and used a little creativity to make a fun Spring card! She started out with the image of the kitty and barrel from our Autumn Newton Stamp Set. The barrel holds pumpkins but she covered them with layers of flowers using tons of tiny flowers from our Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set and Holding Happiness Stamp Set and leaves from our Deer Friend Stamp Set. She used the coordinating dies to cut them out and layered them over the image, leaving the kitty peeking over the top! She also added a little butterfly on the kitty tail from the Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set.

Just Because Spring Kitty and Flowers Card by Tatiana Trafimovich | Autumn Newton Stamp Set and various other Stamps and Dies by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

To create the rest of the scene she used our Cloudy Sky Stencil with white embossing paste to create the lovey clouds and then inked over them with blue ink. She used the grass from our Land Borders Die Set too. She created some dimension by popping up the scene from the background on a stitched rectangle that was cut out using our Frames & Flags Die Set. And last, she added on the "just because" sentiment from the Little Lilies Stamp set! Wow!

This is so cool! Are you inspired to look at your seasonal stamps in a new way and see what you could create?

So Hoppy Together Card by March Guest Designer Mindy Eggen

Welcome everyone! So excited to be back  guest designing today over on the blog for Newton's Nook Designs and I have some more adorable Bitty Bunnies to share! I combined quite a few of their amazing products into one card!

I started out with my background. I used a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock and lightly applied some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink all around. Then I used the Cloudy Sky Stencil and attached that to my distressed panel. I applied Mermaid Lagoon LIGHTLY so I just had a hint of clouds on my blue sky. Then, I removed the stencil and slightly shifted it over a smidge so it was offset. I adhered it back down to my panel and came in with Tonic Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste this time. I love this sparkly offset look!

So Hoppy Together Bunny Card by March Guest Designer Mindy Eggen | Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

While my background is drying, I took another piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock and applied Twisted Citron, Cracked Pistachio and Lucky Clover distress oxide ink. Then I die cut that with the stitched hill from the Land Borders Die Set

So Hoppy Together Bunny Card by March Guest Designer Mindy Eggen | Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

My sweet little bunnies are stamped onto Neenah white cardstock 80lb with copic friendly ink then colored with copic markers. I die cut them out with the coordinating die along with some pretty little butterflies. I also die cut a banner from the Frames and Flags die set and stamped the sentiment in black ink. I trimmed off one end of the banner so it would be flush with the edge of my card once I put it together.

So Hoppy Together Bunny Card by March Guest Designer Mindy Eggen | Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

I'm going to be using a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" white cardbase and add a frame from the Frames & Flags die set that I cut from Kraft cardstock. Next, after my clouds were dry which didn't take long, I trimmed this piece and the hillside piece down to 3 1/2" to fit inside the frame. I made sure to leave room to show the stitching because I love this look.  I finished off the card by adding my bunnies, butterflies and sentiments using double sided tape to make sure it holds good against the stenciled background.

I hope you enjoyed today's card. I adore all these products and they are so versatile so be sure to head over to Newton's Nook Designs to check them out. It is so fun playing with their products and so thrilled to be with them this month!

You're EAR-risistable Card by March Guest Designer Mindy Eggen

This is our second post today, to see the prize winner from our Therm O Web Inspiration week, scroll down or click here.

Absolutely thrilled to be back guest designing today for Newton's Nook Designs. Today's card is featuring the adorable Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set stamp set. These are seriously just the sweetest bunnies!

I'm going to start my card by creating the background. I'm using the Diamond Circle stencil and I attach it to my card panel by first securing my panel to the stencil from the back because the stencil is bigger then my paper. Then I'll flip it back over and attach this down to my craft mat. This way nothing moves while I apply the ink. I'll be using Squeezed Lemonade, Abandoned Coral and Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide inks going in a diagonal pattern across my paper.

You're EAR-risistable Card by March Guest Designer Mindy Eggen | Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

Next, I'm going to apply some of this beautiful Moonstone Glimmer paste. I spread this across my stencil .... carefully. Then I'll scrape off the excess but DO NOT put it back into the container because this excess is now tinted from the ink. Now I'll gently remove my stencil and wash off immediately.

You're EAR-risistable Card by March Guest Designer Mindy Eggen | Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

While my background is drying, I'm going to color up one of these little bunnies from the Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set. These are so sweet and simple to color up. I'm using Neenah white 80lb cardstock and coloring in copic markers. Then I'll use the coordinating Bitty Bunnies Die Set to cut my bunny out. I already went ahead and cut out a banner from white cardstock using the Frames & Flags Die Set. Then I'm going to prep my cardstock with an antistatic powder tool. I can now stamp my sentiment from the Bitty Bunnies stamp set with Versafine ink and sprinkle Wow Clear Embossing powder and heat set.

You're EAR-risistable Card by March Guest Designer Mindy Eggen | Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

I trimmed my background panel down to 4" x 5 1/4 " and added craft foam to the back. Then attached to my A2 sized cardbase using double sided tape. I'm also going to attach my sentiment banner with double sided tape because it has a nice strong hold and I know it will stay in place on top of that stenciled background. My bunny is attached with foam squares to complete my card.

I hope you enjoyed today's card!
