Trio of Birthday Tags by June Guest Designer Melissa Andrew
Hi ya everyone! Melissa here and I’m so excited to share my second project as a guest designer here at Newton’s Nook Designs! I love creating tags as they are perfect for birthday presents. For today’s tags, I used a number of Newton’s Nook items including; Frames and Flags Die Set, Clouds Stencil, Newton Loves Cake Stamp Set, Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set and Dainty Daisies Stamp Set.
I started by first using a tag die cut I had in my stash and cut white card stock. (If you don't have a tag die set, Newton's Nook has a fun one called Fancy Edges Tag Die Set.) I also cut the banner die from the Frames and Flags Die. I decided to create three tags total.
Next, I used my tag die to cut the top of the banner so they would add to my tags easily. I did a few ink blended clouds on the banner tags using the Clouds Stencil from Newton’s Nook.
I then stamped images from the Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set and Dainty Daisies Stamp Set in a light colored dye ink. I wanted to create a no line watercolor look, and a light dye ink works perfectly. After stamping each bunny and three dainty daisies I used my watercolor pens to water color the images. I did this on Bristol Smooth paper.
Next, I fussy cut the bunnies and dainty daisies. After fussy cutting, I cut the dainty daisies right in half. I wanted each half for my tag. I simply put them on my paper trimmer and cut them in the center. I then adhered them to my inked banner.
I used the Happy Birthday sentiment from Newton Loves Cake and stamped on vellum with pigment black ink and then used a clear embossing powder. I then used twine and ribbon to layer the banner onto the tag and then adhered the vellum around the entire tag.
Last, I added foam dots to the bunny images and popped them up on my tags. I love the added dimension of the foam dots and it makes the bunnies the real star of the show!
I hope you enjoyed today’s birthday tag project and that you’ll join us again for more fabulous projects!

A Sweet Spring Hello Card by Andrea Shell
Send a Sweet Spring Hello!
She created a charming scene for them by using distress inks to create a soft purple sky onto a stitched rectangle panel that was cut out using our Frames & Flags Die Set. She added grass along the bottom edge using our Land Borders Die Set and stamped the "a sweet spring hello" sentiment onto the sky from our Woodland Spring Stamp Set.
Lastly, she frames this adorable scene with a pink scalloped frame, also cut out using our Frames & Flags Die Set. The frame is decorated with a sweet pink gingham pattern using our Gingham Stencil.

Ear-Resistable Sloth Card by Samantha Mann

Ear-resistable Sloth!
For the background she created an awesome background of leaves using our Tropical Leaves Stencil and distress inks. Then she added the sloth image over the top of the background. She also added the "you are ear-resistable" sentiment, stamped from our Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set, on a black banner.

Happy Easter Card by Larissa Heskett
Happy Easter Bunnies!
Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set and mirror stamped it so that it would face toward the other bunny! If you've never tried this, pop over to Larissa's blog today for more details and instructions!
To create her scene she cut some layers of grass using our Land Borders Die Set. She added in the two bunnies along with some eggs and tiny flowers from the Bunny Hop Stamp Set. She also added in a chick from the Newton's Easter Basket Stamp Set. She inked a little blue in the sky behind them and added the "Happy Easter" Die cut sentiment using the Spring Pile Up Die Set. The whole panel that the scene is on was cut out using the stitched rectangle from our Frames & Flags Die Set.
In the background she created a gorgeous pattern using our Plaid Stencil Set in pink and purple. She also added a layer of light blue diamonds and glittery diamond lines over the top with our Argyle Stencil Set. Both of these stencil sets have two layers of stencils so you can create fun multiple colored patterns like this!
Here's a close-up so you can see all the amazing details:

What a gorgeous card for an Easter Celebration!
