Welcome Little One!

Today Ellen has created a an adorable zoo themed baby card! This fun card features the big square image of zoo animals from our Zoo Party Stamp Set. She colored the image using copics and then cut out a yellow scalloped frame for it using our Frames Squared Die Set. In the center of the image she combined words from our Bitty Bibs and Loveable Laundry Stamp Set to create the sentiment, stamped onto a circle that was also cut out using our Frames Squared Die Set. In the background she added a fun woodgrain pattern with our Hardwood Stencil. 

This darling card is perfect to welcome a new baby!

Below we have some instructions from Ellen on how to create this card.

1. (left photo) I used Zig Clean Color Real Watercolor Brush Markers to color the image from the Zoo Party Stamp Set and layered it on the scalloped frame from the Frames Squared Die Set.
   
   Colors used: 
   Green: No.041 Light Green, No.400 Marine Green
   Yellow: No.055 Pale Yellow, No.050 Yellow
   Orange: No.052 Bright Yellow
   Grey: No.097 Pale Gray, No.091 Light Gray
   Brown: No.072 Beige, No.068 Deep Brown
   Black: No.090 Gray, No.010 Black
   White: No.071 Flesh Colour, No.064 Oatmeal
   Pink: No.220 Tea Rose, No.222 Pink Flamingo
   
   
2. (right photo) As last step I prepared the card base with distress ink and the Hardwood Stencil. Next I glued the panel on top with the 3D foam.

Wild Thing Card by Amanda Wilcox

Wild Thing! Let's go to the Zoo!

Today we are sharing a WILD creation by Amanda! For this incredible square card Amanda features the image of zoo animals hanging in from the edges of a square on our Zoo Party Stamp Set. These cute zoo friends are so much fun to color and perfectly frame a greeting in the center. For her card Amanda used the sentiment "Wild Thing," from the Zoo Party Stamp Set but this set has several other fun options too. She used the circle die from the Frames Squared Die Set to hold the sentiment in the center, and to add a gold scalloped border around the image. She added another layer behind it using the same die set to cut out the black stitched square with the rounded corners. The blue twine between the layers gives such a fun pop of color!

The Frames Squared Die Set die set also works perfectly with all of the other sets in our Square Card Front Stamp Designs.

Zoo Party Shaker Card by January Guest Designer Tina Wilstrup

Today we have our first post from our first Guest Designer of the year, Tina Wilstrup! Tina's colorful designs  on instagram caught our eye with her amazing use of ink blending and coloring! Hi Newton's fans, my name is Tina and I am very honored and super excited to be guest designing this month. I'm a wife and mother of a beautiful girl and 2 doggies living in a small town in the Danish countryside. Although I've been crafting all of my life I've only been making cards for 4 years and I absolutely love it! I especially love the process of coloring the images, adding details and depth. I love using bright colors, and adding texture, layers and/or sparkle. My hope is to inspire you!

Hello everyone! My name is Tina and I’m so honored and super exited to be guest designing this month!

I thought I’d start the new year with a fun, bright, rainbow colored shaker card!

I’ve used the fun and adorable Zoo Party Stamp Set. I colored with Copics and each animal is colored with a new color family. I also colored in the background, as well as a bit of the centre.

I cut out the image with a rectangular die, stamped a sentiment and then fuzzy cut the centre out.

On a white panel of cardstock I measured out the placement of the centre and stamped another sentiment for the inside of the shaker.

I backed the front panel with acetate and then created the shaker using craft foam and rainbow colored sequins. I hope you like my inspiration.

Zoo Party Birthday Card by August Guest Designer Mindy Baxter

Hello! It’s Mindy from My Creative Scoop and I’m back with another card to share for Newton’s Nook Designs. Today I’m using the stamp set, Zoo Party. I stamped the image using my Memento Black ink and stamped onto my Copic Xpress it Blending Card.

Here are the color combos I used:

Monkey – E33, E31, E30, R32, R30

Rhino – N5, N3, N1, N0, R32, R30, E42, E41, E40

Zebra – N3, N1, N0, N5, N7, R32, R30

Elephant – C4, C2, C0, R32, R30

Leaves – G24, G20, YG13 

I LOVE this card and how versatile the sentiments are. The fonts on them are awesome, too!

Then she added a frame around the image using our Frames Squared Die Set. For the card background layer she added leaves using our Tropical Leaves Stencil. 

This stunning tropical card was created by Amanda. She colored the gorgeous floral and pineapple image using our Tropical Fringe Stamp Set in shades of orange, teal and green. Then she layered the sentiment over it on a circle cut out using our Frames Squared Die Set. She also used this die set to cut out the stitched square rectangle, which was stenciled using our Tropical Leaves Stencil.

Tatiana created this amazing zoo themed card featuring the fun big zoo image from our Zoo Party Stamp Set. She colored the image of zoo animals in soft yet bight colors and layered it over a lovely tropical background that was created using our new Hibiscus Stencil Set. What a gorgeous card for a special birthday!

Are you feeling the summer vibes? This card by Samantha will put you in the mood. She used the fun square image from our Tropical Fringe Stamp Set to frame the "Hello Summer" Sentiment. She colored the image in fun bright colors and mounted it on a scalloped Square card that was cut out out using our Frames Squared Die Set. 

Holly created this adorable zoo themed thank you card using our new Zoo Party Stamp Set. She colored the big square image of zoo animals in fun bright colors and cut it out to add to her card. She added the sentiment in a small stitched circle that was cut out using our Frames Squared Die Set and added some fun animal print papers! What a fun way to say thanks!

Naki used gold edges and soft colors to create this amazing summer card! She used the image from our Tropical Fringe Stamp Set and embossed it in gold before adding in soft bright pastel watercolors! What a perfect card to send for a summer greeting to a friend! 

Ellen created this adorable square zoo card, perfect for a cheerful birthday greeting! She used the big square image of zoo animals from our new Zoo Party Stamp Set and colored them in fun bright watercolors! She used our Frames Squared Die Set  to create the scalloped and rounded square layers and for the circle that holds the sentiment too.

This fun and colorful card by Zsofia is perfect for a summer greeting! She used the gorgeous square image from our Tropical Fringe Stamp Set and coloring in in fun vibrant colors. Then she added the  Hello Summer" Sentiment in the center. She framed it with several layers of colored cardstock to help the image pop! So beautiful!

She created layers around the image using our Frames Squared Die Set to create an adorable square card! Perfect for a Birthday party card or invite! 

This gorgeous thank you card was created by Larissa! She used the beautiful square image from our Tropical Fringe Stamp Set and colored it in beautiful summery colors! She stamped the Thank you sentiment center. The center image and layers behind it were cut out using our Frames Squared Die Set.
