Retiring Products Feature Week - Day 5 - Donna Idlet & Farhana Sarker

All week our design team has been sharing inspiration using some of their favorite products from our retiring list and we are featuring projects today by Donna and Farhana

Donna created two adorable cards featuring the Fabulous Frenchies Stamp Set and the Toucan Party Stamp Set:

For her first card she colors all the adorable dog images from the Fabulous Frenchies Stamp Set and adds a trio of them to her simple 5x7 card base. To create the trio of die cut windows she used our A7 Frames & Banners Die Set with blue cardstock and a stripe patterned paper from our Meowy Christmas Paper Pad. Next, she creates a slimline card featuring the colorful birds from the Toucan Party Stamp Set, adding each bird into the trio of circle frames that was cut using our Slimline Frames & Portholes Die Set. She adds a tropical background to the green panel by repeat stamping the tropical leaf stamp for a fun pattern. Detailed product list below.

Farhana created a Valentine card set featuring our retiring Love Bites Stamp Set:

For this adorable set of cards she stamped and colored each food couple from the Love Bites Stamp Set and paired them together over hearts cut out using our Heart Frames Die Set. She adds the coordinating sentiment under each pair and layers them over more hearts that were stenciled onto the white card bases using our Petite Hearts Stencil! So cute!  This card by Amanda our retiring Cosmic Newton Stamp Set is out of this world!

Amanda created a shaker card that is truly out of this world! She features Newton in his space rocket from the Cosmic Newton Stamp Set over a fun shaker background. The starry sky background was created with distress inks and our Cascading Stars Stencil. What a fun setting! Detailed product list below.

Tatiana created this adorable birthday card using our retiring Fabulous Frenchies Stamp Set.

Send paw-some birthday wishes with this adorable puppy card! This card by Tatiana features the adorable french bulldog puppy and balloons from the Fabulous Frenchies Stamp Set. She layered the images over a woodgrain background that was adding using the retiring Hardwood Stencil for some fun texture.

Paw-some Birthday Card by Samantha Mann

Paw-some Birthday!

If anyone on your upcoming birthday list likes dogs, this card by Samantha is sure to make them smile. The star of this card is an adorable puppy from our Puppy Playtime Stamp Set. Sam colored the puppy, birthday hat and dog bone from the set and cut them out using the coordinating Puppy Playtime Die Set. Doesn't he look so cute and mischievous? 

To make it even more of a party, she added balloons, stamped from our Fabulous Frenchies Stamp Set and cut out with the coordinating Fabulous Frenchies Die Set. She added the sentiment, "Have a paw-some birthday" which is also from the Fabulous Frenchies Stamp Set, embossed in white on a black banner. 

For the card base, she inked up a background using distress inks and added paw prints with our Pawprints Stencil. What a gorgeous color scheme! It really lets the balloons pop!

A Llama Fun Birthday Card by Samantha Mann

Llama Fun Birthday!

Today we are having a "Llama" fun with this adorable birthday card by Samantha! She has created an adorable birthday scene featuring the llama from our Loveable Llamas Stamp Set. She colored the llama  in shades of gray, adding a fun texture with dots to make the fur look fuzzy! She added the blanket onto his back, also from the Loveable Llamas Stamp Set after coloring it in rainbow colors. The lama and blanket were cut out using the coordinating Loveable Llamas Die Set. 

To make the scene have more of a birthday theme, she added a trio of balloons stamped from our Fabulous Frenchies Stamp Set. She used the coordinating Fabulous Frenchies Die Set to cut the balloons out, but she also fussy cut a couple out by hand to layer and pop up for a bit of dimension! 

For the background, she created a wonderful landscape by using our Sunscape Stencil and Mountains Stencil with distress inks to add sun rays and mountains! The whitecaps were added using texture paste for even more fun detail!

The sentiment "Have a llama fun on your birthday," also from the Loveable Llamas Stamp Set, was stamped just below the horizon line.

Love You More than Treats Card and a Farewell to Andrea Shell

Puppy Treats & a Farewell to Andrea!

Today Andrea is sharing a beautiful French themed puppy card! 

She features the cute french bulldog from our Fabulous Frenchies Stamp Set, surrounded by macarons. She did some lovely coloring on the puppy, giving him a fun red and blue outfit, complete with a French beret! Then she used creative masking to surround this cute french pup with a whole stack of macarons using our Love & Chocolate Stamp Set. She stamped them in light colored ink, layering and masking a large stack of them them around the puppy. She colored the macarons using the no-line coloring technique to give them soft edges! They look so gorgeous, and good enough to eat!  

She also added the sentiment "love you more than treats" over the top from our Say Woof Stamp Set. The whole scene is framed with a scalloped edge that was cut out using our Frames & Flags Die Set. What a lovely French inspired card! 

I am sad to say that this project marks the LAST post for Andrea Shell as part of our Design Team at Newton's Nook Designs! We have truly enjoyed having Andrea on our team for TWO incredible years! She also inspired us before that as a previous member of our Inky Paws Challenge Team. Andrea has inspired us with her creative cards and beautiful coloring skills on every project! We have loved every minute! We are so sad to see her go but we wish her the very best as she continues to grow in her creative journey. Hi, NND fans and friends!  This was my final project and post as a design team member, and I would like to thank Jennifer and the entire NND team for an amazing two years. It has been such a joy and honor to work with these adorable products and to share my creations with you. For this adorable snowy scene, Andrea colored the snowman group from our Frosty Folks Stamp Set. She set the scene using our Forest Scene Builder Die Set and Land Borders Die Set for the trees and snowy hill. She also added snowflakes in the sky with our Petite Snow Stencil. Andrea created this gorgeous square Holiday card using our Holiday Fringe Stamp Set. She added on a scalloped frame with the Frames Squared Die Set and a glittery sentiment using our Holiday Greetings Die Set. Life is a picnic on this adorable card! Andrea used our Plaid Stencil Set in fun colors for the background. Then she added the kitty from the Newton's Picnic Stamp Set as her centerpiece. Have a Blast Birthday Card by Samantha Mann

Have a Blast!

Blast off! Today Samantha created a fun birthday card that is sure to make you smile! She started out by stamping the image of Newton in a rocket ship from our Cosmic Newton Stamp Set and coloring in in vibrant colors! The image is cut out using the coordinating Cosmic Newton Die Set. She added it to her card over a gorgeous sky with shades of blue that was created using distress inks. She added stars to the sky, also from the Cosmic Newton Stamp Set. Then for a fun bit of whimsy, she added a trio of balloons that are being pulled behind the rocket! The balloons are from the Fabulous Frenchies Stamp Set and were cut out using the Fabulous Frenchies Die Set.

Isn't it cool how the colors on the balloons and spaceship have a rainbow effect? So gorgeous and unexpected! It would be so much fun to receive a birthday card like this in the mail!!

Giant Panda Wishes Card by Samantha Mann

Panda Love!

If you like pandas you will fall in love with this adorable card by Samantha! For this fun card she created a trio of tumbling pandas using the image from our Playful Pandas Stamp Set. She stamped the images in black and added a little bit of shading and pink on the feet. She cut the images out using our Playful Pandas Die Set. She rotated the pandas in different directions and gave them balloons and hats stamped from our Fabulous Frenchies Stamp Set and cut them out with the Fabulous Frenchies Die Set. 

To make a fun setting for the pandas, she cut out a frame using our Slimline Frames & Portholes Die Set. Then she added three squares of clouds over it that were cut out using our Slimline Frames & Windows Die Set. For the squares, she added orange and yellow distress ink backgrounds and textured clouds using our Cloudy Sky Stencil. 

She finished it off with sentiments from our Holding Happiness Stamp Set. She embossed the sentiments in white on black cardstock and fussy cut around them to pop them off her card! 

This card is so adorable and filled with fun!

Paw-some Birthday Wishes Card by Samantha Mann

Have a Paw-some Birthday!

This birthday card by Samantha couldn't get any cuter! She created this sweet birthday greeting featuring that cute pup from our Fabulous Frenchies Stamp Set. She colored the sweet pup and added the cute hat and a trio of balloons, also from the same set. She cut all the images out using the coordinating Fabulous Frenchies Die Set to layer onto her card. For the card she created a fun pink and orange sky of clouds using our Clouds Stencil with Picked Raspberry and Squeezed Lemonade distress inks. Isn't it neat how she masked off and only stenciled on the top part of the card, leaving a perfect spot for the birthday sentiment under the pup. She also used some of the birthday images from the set to create a fun black and white pattern that she used along the right side of the card. Such a fun detail!

Puppy Playtime Birthday Box Card by Andrea Shell

Puppy Birthday Wishes Pop Up Box Card!

Today Andrea is sharing an adorable birthday card with a fun layering pop up scene! She features those two cute puppies from our new Puppy Playtime Stamp Set in the front, and layers some balloons from our Fabulous Frenchies Stamp Set and the three tiered cake from our Newton Loves Cake Stamp Set behind them! How adorable! She colored all the images with copic markers in a fun bold primary color palette. She used the coordinating Puppy Playtime Die Set, Fabulous Frenchies Die Set and Newton Loves Cake Die Set to cut them out

Between the layers of the scene she added grass cut out with ourLand Borders Die Set. On the back layer she added clouds using our Clouds Stencil. She also added a scalloped edge to each of the panels using our Frames & Flags Die Set. 

What an amazing creation! It would be so fun to receive a special card like this in the mail for a birthday!

Celebrate Card by Samantha Mann

Celebrate!

Did you have a fun celebration for the New Year? Today the celebrating continues on this adorable card by Samantha. She features the kitty in the oversized martini glass from our Newton Celebrates Stamp Set. This stamp set is perfect for New Years cards but it also works great for any celebrations throughout the year! This card would be perfect for a Birthday card or to celebrate any fun event! She colored the kitty and martini glass, adding fun stripes to the fur. Then she cut the image out using the coordinating Newton Celebrates Die Set. She added to the fun celebratory feel by adding some balloons behind the glass, using our Fabulous Frenchies Stamp Set and Die Set. So fun!
