Hello Newton’s Nook Fans!
Here today to bring you a star-spangled summer card.

 

Newton’s Happy Meowr has the vibes that I am looking for this summer. To create a background for this stamp set I started by selecting paper. We are going for a star-spangled summer theme, so I chose 1 red, 1 white and 1 blue star themed paper from Stars & Stripes Paper Pad. I like to slide my paper underneath my die before cutting.
This is a good visual tool to see how everything is going to look before you make the commitment of cutting your paper.
For this card I will be using Card Layout 4 Die Set

 

After die cutting all of the pieces for the card I assembled the card front onto a card base. White cardstock for the border pieces and the card base. I stamped and colored my image from Newton’s Happy Meowr Stamp Set. The backdrop for my image is part of Hexagon Frames Die Set.

To finish this card up, I glued down all of the pieces of the front of the card. I created a banner with a piece of scrap dark blue cardstock, using white embossing powder to make sure the sentiment stood out.
The shells from Newton’s Happy Meowr add that finishing touch!

Warm Summer Vibes and Sweet Seashells Card!

Today we are sharing this beautiful and summery card by Zsofia!

This card features:

It is Zsofi here today with a cute summer card using the adorable Newton's Sand Dollar Stamp Set. These days I am rediscovering my stencils and different stencil techniques, so I will show you how you can create an ombre textured look with what you already have. Let’s dive in.

I started with a piece of kraft cardstock, secured the Seashells Stencil with a removable adhesive spray and applied 3 shades of Ditress Oxide inks with a blending brush: Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmelade and Worn Lipstick. Before removing the stencil I added a layer of Astro Paste Frostbite. It dries clear and gives a glittery texture. I removed the stencil and set
the panel aside to dry.

Then I stamped and coloured the Newton's Sand Dollar Stamp with Copic markers. I die cut it with a die from the Hexagon Frames Die Set and used the one size bigger die to create a mat: I cut that scalloped hexagon twice from coloured cardstock, and simply cut one of them at the stitching with scissors. In this way I had an in-between layer, I love how it turned out!

For the sentiment I used two lines from the same stamp set: one I white heat embossed on a thin strip of black cardstock, the other I stamped in black on coloured cardstock together with a shell, which I coloured quickly with Copics. Then I die cut this with the smallest Hexagon Frames Die and trimmed off the stitching. I added a black layer under it, which I cut with the same die.
After assembling this very dimensional card, I used a white gel pen to add some details and used glossy accents on the shell.

A Happy Hello Card by Samantha Mann

Geometric Floral Card!

Today we are sharing a fun and happy floral card by Samantha!

This card features:
Cherry Blossoms Stamp Set
Cherry Blossoms Die Set
Heartfelt Butterflies Stamp Set
Hexagons Die Set
A7 Frames & Banners Die Set

I started out by die cutting a bunch of hexagons from white cardstock with the Hexagons Die Set. Then I ink blended each one in a rainbow of ink colors. I also splattered some white acrylic ink on top and then set them aside to dry. 

The Cherry Blossoms were heat embossed in black onto clear acetate and then die cut out with the coordinating dies. Some of the hexagons were popped up with foam tape and to finish the card, the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto black cardstock and then die cut out with the banner from the A7 Frames & Banners Die Set.

I think (hope!) this card will cheer up anyone's day with it's bright colors and happy hello!

Peep Peep! Easter Card by Diane Morales

Peep! Peep! 

Easter is nearly here and Newton is ready to celebrate on this adorable card by Diane.

She created this cute little shaped card by cutting a hexagon shaped garden scene using our Hexagon Frames Die Set with our Spring Blooms Paper Pad. 

In front of the tulip garden she added that cute kitty peeking out of an Easter egg with a baby chic on his head from our Newton's Easter Basket Stamp Set.  She added a bit of glitter for some sparkle onto the egg. She also stamped several extra chicks to add to the scene. 

This cute little shaped card would be perfect for tucking into an Easter basket!

Feline Batty Card by Diane Morales

Feline Batty!!

We are batty about this Halloween card by Diane! 

The star of this fun card is Newton wearing a bat costume from our Batty Newton Stamp Set. She colored the cute kitty in neutral colors and gave him a bright teal bat wings! This non traditional Halloween color really makes the image pop! The image was cut out using the coordinating Batty Newton Die Set. 

Next, she created a shaped card for her image. She used our Hexagon Frames Die Set and cut out the largest scalloped Hexagon for her card base. Then she cut a smaller stitched hexagon using the pink bat paper from our Halloween Party Paper Pad. She layered these pieces together and added the fun batty cat on top. She also added a couple of bats and the message "feline batty!" from the Batty Newton Stamp Set, The message was stamped onto a banner that was cut using our Frames & Flags Die Set and it was slid in right behind the kitty.

Witchy Halloween Card by Farhana Sarker

Friendly Witch Card

Witches don't have to be bad! Today we are featuring a humorous witch themed Halloween card by Farhana!

This card features the cute witching from our Brooms & Boos Stamp Set. This image featuring a witch holding a Jack-o'-Lantern and holding a mask over her eyes is so fun! Farhana colored the image in fun Halloween colors using alcohol markers and used the coordinating Brooms & Boos Die Set to cut the image out. 

For her card, she started with a white card base and added a fun pattern to it using our three piece Jack-o'-Lantern Stencil Set. With three stencils in this set it's easy to create patterns with multiple colors. 

Once the background was created she cut out a few hexagon shapes from shades of orange cardstock using our Hexagon Frames Die Set. She stamped the funny message from the Brooms & Boos Stamp Set onto one of the shapes and then layered all three onto her background. The with was then added to the largest hexagon.
