Christmas Word Trio Die Set


Hello Newton’s Nook Fans!

Sharing with you today A quick and easy card with a twist!
This card starts off with my choice of these two papers.

This is a good visual tool to see how everything is going to look before you make the commitment of cutting your paper.
For this card I will be using Card Layout 6 Die.
After die-cutting both pieces of paper with this die, I glued all of the pieces together and placed the card front aside to dry.
Next, I turned my attention to Hula Hoop Newton. I stamped, colored and die-cut my image out.
I am also going to prepare my sentiment which is the “twist” for this card.
This sentiment comes from, of all things, a Christmas die!
I am using the word “JOY” from Christmas Word Trio Die Set re-imagined with summer colors.
To create the sentiment I used sparkly white paper that I had in my stash.

 

For the inlaid letters I used purple polka dot paper from Pastel Basics Paper Pack. I cut out all the pieces for the sentiment and then reassembled everything together.
I started assembling my card by attaching my card front to a matching piece of green card base. I added the sentiment piece I created to the front of the card next with foam tape.
Next on the front of the card was Hula Hoop Newton, this this is attached to the front of the card with foam tape.

For a last touch I dabbed on some Icicle Stickles around the hula hoop for some eye-catching sparkle!

Chocolate Bunny Easter Card by Larissa Heskett

Happy Easter!

Today we are sharing a sweet Easter card by Larissa. This card is filled with adorable Easter images, including chocolate bunnies! 

This project features the following Easter products:

Bunny Silhouettes Die Set

Easter Egg Builder Die Set

Spring Roundabout Stamp Set

Springtime Bunnies Stamp Set

The first thing you might notice about this card is those adorable "chocolate" bunnies! Larissa created those by cutting out the bunny shapes using our Bunny Silhouettes Die Set and inking the bunnies up with dark brown inks. She added on die cut tails created from felt to give them that adorable fuzzy look! She also die cut the carrot from the same Bunny Silhouettes Die Set and used orange and green inks to add color it. 

Between the two bunnies she created an Easter egg using our Easter Egg Builder Die Set. This die set includes a basic egg shape along with decorative layers and she made an adorable polka dot egg, adding glitter to the dots! 

Behind the bunnies Larissa used our Spring Roundabout Stamp Set to add in a big circle of Easter icons. She cut this image and the scalloped circle behind it out using our Circle Frames Die Set. In front of the bunnies she added the message. She cut out a white banner using our Banner Trio Die Set and stamped and embossed the words from our Springtime Bunnies Stamp Set to create the "Happy Easter" greeting. 

Behind everything is a piece of purple polka dot paper from our Pastel Basics Paper Pad.

Cheerful Daisy Card by Larissa Heskett

Cheerful Daisy Card!

Today we are sharing a beautiful floral card by Larissa that uses our Floral Delights Stamp Set with simple ink blending! This is a technique you will definitely want to try! 

Larissa starts out by stamping the tall daisy image from our Floral Delights Stamp Set several times onto white cardstock, embossing the blooms with white embossing powder.  Then she uses various distress inks and small blending brushes to add color to the blooms. You don't have to be perfect with the color application, just blend around the outlines to give a fun halo effect.

Isn't it gorgeous how the white outlines pop once the color is added over the top?

Next she cuts the pretty panel out using our Basic Frames Die Set to give it a fun stitched edge. She layers it over a fun pink polka dot paper from our Pastel Basics Paper Pad that was cut out using our Frames & Tags Die Set to give it the zig zag edge. 

Last she added the sentiment from our Daffodils Stamp Set onto a circle cut out with our Circle Frames Die Set.

Spring Daisies Card by Larissa Heskett

Pretty Blooms to Celebrate Spring!

Spring is the perfect time to send greetings filled with flowers! Today we are sharing inspiration with a card by Larissa using our Daisies Die Set.

Larissa die cut multiple daisy blooms and leaves using our Daisies Die Set and layered them into a trio of flowers. She inked the leaves in two tones of green and added inked edges and pink glitters to the flower centers. So pretty! 

For her card she started with a white card base and added a pretty blue polka dot paper from our Pastel Basics Paper Pad along the top and then she added black ink splatters over the whole card front. For the sentiment she chose "rejoice in spring" from our Easter Lily Stamp Set.

Cherry Blossoms Card by Larissa Heskett

Thinking of You Card with Cherry Blossoms!

Today Larissa has created a gorgeous card filled with cherry blossoms that is perfect for letting someone know they are in your thoughts!

To create this beautiful card she began by stamping the branch of cherry blossoms from our Cherry Blossoms Stamp Set onto a white panel with a stitched edge that was cut out using our Basic Frames Die Set. She stamped the image twice and embossed it in white. She then inked over the blooms using pinks greens and browns. She added glitter and a gem to the center of each of the flowers to add a fun bit of sparkle. 

Next, she cut out a scallop edged frame using our Frames & Flags Die Set with the pink gingham patterned paper from our Pastel Basics Paper Pad. This pretty pink paper coordinates perfectly with the image and she layered it behind to frame it. 

Last, she stamped the "thinking of you" message onto a circle that was die cut using our Circle Frames Die Set and layered it onto the card front. 

What a beautiful way to send caring thoughts to a friend or family member! So gorgeous!

Herd It's Your Birthday Card by Zsofia Molnar

Birthday Moos!

Today we are sharing a fun farm themed birthday card by Zsofia! 

This adorable card features the cute cow from our Moo Stamp Set. Zsofia stamped the cow and hay bale from the Moo Stamp Set. She also stamped the bundle of balloons that are placed in the tail of the cow using and image from our Cycling Friends Stamp Set. She colored all the images, using pretty shades of yellow and blue on the balloons. The images were then cut out using the coordinating Moo Die Set and Cycling Friends Die Set. Next she cut out a black banner using our new Basic Frames Die Set and layered the images on top. So cute! She also added the sentiment "Herd it's your birthday!" from the Moo Stamp Set, stamped onto a bubble that was cut out with our Speech Bubbles Die Set. She added a bit of white ink to the edges of the banner along with some white twine across the top and a few clear embellishment dots to finish out the banner. 

For her card, she used a white card base and then layered a fun gingham patterned paper from our Pastel Basics Paper Pad, cut into a zig zag edged frame using our Frames & Tags Die Set! This perfectly frames the banner and adds to the farm theme! The last step was the the big "celebrate" across the bottom, stamped in black using our Birthday Essentials Stamp Set.

This fun farm themed birthday card would be perfect for a friend or family member of any age!
