Newton's Nook Designs & Therm O Web Inspiration Week - Day 1 with Samantha Mann & Amanda Wilcox

This week Newton's Nook Designs and Therm O Web are partnering for a fabulous inspiration week! All week long both design teams will be sharing ways to add fun foils and more to your cards using Therm O Web products with Newton's Nook Designs stamps! There are prizes too! Today we are featuring projects by Samantha and Amanda! 

First up we are sharing a gorgeous duo of summer themed cards by Samantha: 

For her first card Samantha created a gorgeous pineapple card using foil and flock transfer sheets and Transfer Gel from Therm O Web and along with our two piece pineapple stencil for a fun mix of textures and sparkle! She added the sentiment using a combination of stamps, die cuts and foil too! Products listed below.

For this amazing yummy birthday card Amanda used the 3 piece cupcake stencil from Newton's Nook Designs with glitz gel (on the cherries and sprinkles) from Therm O Web. She also used a deco foil transfer pen to add fun foiled spots to the big cupcake wrapper on the stamped image for more fun sparkle! Full product list below.

Aloha Friend Card by Andrea Shell

Aloha!

Today Andrea combines several fun products together in a unique way to create a vibrant tropical themed card! For stamp sets, she combined the koala from our Pina Koala Stamp Set with the big frame from our Tropical Fringe Stamp Set. She colored both of the images in fun bright colors using watercolor markers. Then, although the image from the Tropical Fringe Stamp Set is a big square frame, she instead cut it out to make a circle frame by using our new Circle Frames Die Set! What a creative idea and the image fits perfectly! She also used the scalloped circle from the Circle Frames Die Set to layer another decorative circle behind it in lavender. The koala fits perfectly in the center after he is cut out using the coordinating Pina Koala Die Set.

For the card background she stenciled a background panel using our Serene Stripes Stencil with pink ink over light pink paper. Then she cut the panel out, using our Framework Die Set to give it a fun postage stamp edge. She finishes the layout by adding the sentiment "Aloha Friend" from the Tropical Fringe Stamp Set, adding it onto a circle that was cut out using the Circle Frames Die Set. She also embellishes two of the corners with die cut tropical leaves and a hibiscus flower using our Hibiscus Die Set.

What a wonderful way to combine all these items together for a gorgeous tropical card!

Aloha Card by Naki Rager

Aloha!

Our Design team is getting in the mood for summer this week! Today we have this gorgeous Aloha card by Naki! She created that beautiful hisbicus using our  Hibiscus Die Set and inked over the die cut paper with some beautiful distress ink techniques! Then she added it to her card with an awesome water background created with layers of ink and water and some texture too! There are so many fun details on this card! Check out the bits of paper and washi tape too! All those little pieces create a gorgeous combination of color and texture!

Beach Day Ombré Card by Lydia Evans

Beach Day!

Today we have a gorgeous ombré beach card by Lydia! She embossed the palm trees from the Paradise Palms stamp set repeatedly in white to and inked them to create the lovely ombre background! So beautiful! She used the "Make every day a Beach day" sentiment from the Aloha Newton stamp set and accented it with those pretty tropical leaves from our  Hibiscus Die Set, cut out in white! What a stunning card!

Mahalo Card by Lydia Evans

Mahalo!

Today we are sharing a gorgeous hibiscus card by Lydia! She die cut all those hibiscus flowers using our new Hibiscus Die Set! It's so beautiful how she layered all the white ones against the white background. What a great way to add some texture to a card. Then she layered two more flowers and leaves in awesome bright summer colors! Don't they just pop off the page? She added in the "Mahalo" sentiment from the Aloha Newton Stamp set.

Several of our Design Team Members decided to play along - check out all the awesome Summer cards they created! Read the description below each card to see who made it.

Naki created an awesome beach scene combining two or our Newton summer sets. The kitty in the hammock and tropical drink are from the new Aloha Newton stamp set and the kitty with the sandcastle and pail are from the Newton's Summer Vacation stamp set. 

Samantha created an awesome watercolor beach scene on her card. She used distress markers to ink up the palm tree  from our Paradise Palms stamp set and watercolored over the top! The "summer lovin'" sentiment is from the new Dog Days of Summer Stamp set. 

Stephanie created this awesome beach card! She used bright watercolors to color the kitty from the new Aloha Newton stamp set! She also added in the tiny die cut hibiscus and leaf from the Tiki Time stamp set! Such a perfect summery combo!  

What says summer more than a tiki drink? Jess used a whole crew of tiki faces  from our new Tiki Time stamp set across the bottom of her card! I love that pretty sky she put behind them! 

Larissa created some beautiful summer earrings using the Hibiscus die set and shrink plastic! What a fun idea! These turned out amazing! She created those cool backer cards for them using the frame from the Garden Starter stamp set! 

I had fun playing along this month too! I created a dog card using the pup and ice cream from our new Dog Days of Summer Stamp stamp set.  I made a simple card, just adding a sentiment and some washi and flags ups this side using paper scraps! I thought it needed a little bling so I added on a big button!

July Reveal - Day 4 - Aloha Newton and Hibiscus Die

Yukari created this adorable card with the kitty playing the ukulele on the beach from the Aloha Newton stamp set! She also added in a big bloom using the new Hibiscus die set. 

This stunning Hibiscus card by Samantha uses our new Hibiscus die set. Check out that striped leaf! She added in the "Mahalo" from the Aloha Newton stamp set.

Kimberly created a trio of pretty blooms using the new Hibiscus die set. They make the perfect spot for the kitty from the Aloha Newton stamp set  to play his little ukulele. 

Newton looks so cozy in his hammock on the beach in this card by Stephanie. The cute kitty image and the sentiment are from the new Aloha Newton stamp set. 

Naki created a ton of pretty blooms on her card using the Hibiscus die set! What a beautiful card! 

Danielle created this amazing card with the Aloha Newton stamp set! I love how the card folds to show off Newton playing his ukulele. She also added in a tiki face from the Tiki Time stamp set and used the tops of the pineapple from the Pineapple Delights to create grass! So creative!

Lydia created this adorable clean and simple card using the image of Newton playing in the flowers from the Aloha Newton stamp set! I love how the bright colors pop off the white card base! 

This duo of adorable Hawaii cards is by Jess! She created the same design in two coordinating colors to make a little set of notecards using the "Aloha" from the Aloha Newton stamp set and the created the flowers with the new Hibiscus die set!

Larissa created such a cute little scene with Newton and his ukulele from the Aloha Newton stamp set. Isn't it cool how she added pretty stripes the the kitty?

This beautiful clean and simple card is by Crafty Math-Chick. She created a gorgeous ombre for the background and then added a black die cut hibiscus using the new Hibiscus die set. She also added in the "Mahalo" sentiment from the Aloha Newton stamp set.
