Roses for a Beautiful Thank You

Today Samantha has created a gorgeous thank you card featuring two of our rose themed stamp sets. This beautiful card is perfect for sending thoughts of gratitude. 

She begins by stamping the black and white background using our Heartfelt Roses Stamp Set. Although this stamp is in the shape of a heart she turned it and stamped it several times to fill the background with a continuous pattern. What a great idea! The then cut out the panel she had created using our Basic Frames Die Set to give it a nice stitched edge. 

Next she stamped the stem of blooms from our Roses Stamp Set several times. She colored all the blooms using zig watercolor markers in shades of pink and red. She added green on the leaves and then splattered all of the images with white paint. Doesn't this give them a gorgeous dewy look? Then she cut them all out with the coordinating Roses Die Set and they were ready to add to her card. 

For her card she started with a white card base. She layered her black and white panel over the base, adhering it with some dimensional tape. Then she added the roses on each side, letting them overlap and tumble off the sides. She embossed the thank you sentiment in white onto a black cardstock that had been cut out using our A7 Frames & Banners Die Set. 

What a gorgeous card! We love how the roses spill over the edges. You don't always have to be constrained by the edges of the card.  Just send it in a larger envelope and you're all set! Plus, the recipient will be wowed by your creativity!

Happy Birthday Roses Card by Tatiana Trafimovich

Birthday Roses

Today Tatiana has created a gorgeous floral birthday card, filled with roses!

The beautiful stems roses on this card were stamped twice using our Roses Stamp Set. She colored them in soft pastel pinks and peaches, adding shades of green to the leaves and white gel pen accents. She cut the roses out using the coordinating Roses Die Set. 

To let the roses really pop off the card, she made the card simple. She did a soft blue ink blending across the card base, with the darkest blue at the edges and fading to a lighter tone in the center. She added just a hint of splatters for a little bit of texture. Then she used our Framework Die Set to cut out the white frame with the inside scalloped edge. She added the frame and the roses to the center of the card with some dimensional foam to give the card dimension. 

Last, she used our Birthday Greetings Hot Foil Plates with gold foil to add on a sparkly gold "happy birthday" greeting onto black cardstock. She cut the greeting out using rectangle banner from the Banner Duo Die Set. She cut one side of the rectangle at an angle to give it a fun and unique shape! 

What a gorgeous birthday wish! We love the bit of shine and sparkle that the foiled message adds to this lovely and simple card.

Floral Filled Jars Card Set and Video by Jennifer Jackson

Filling Jars with Flowers! 

Hello! Jen here today and I'm sharing more fun ways to use our Jar Hot Foil Plate! Last week I shared a post where created a card using the jar as a terrarium (you can find that post here if you missed it). Today I'm back to share another awesome way to use the Jar by filling it with flowers! I was having so much fun with this that I created a whole series of cards using various blooms from our floral category. 

First I used our Jar Hot Foil Plate to foil the jar with a silver foil. I then used the coordinating die set (which comes with the plate) to cut it out.  For the first card I chose to use the daisy image from our Dainty Daisies Stamp Set. I added some color to the image using watercolor markers and then cut the image out using the coordinating Dainty Daisies Die Set. 

One I tucked the flowers into the jar I realized the image would be too large for a standard A2 (4.25" x 5.5") sized card so I decided to make an A7 (5" x 7") sized card instead. I cut out a large scallop edged rectangle using our A7 Frames and Banners Die Set. Then I added flowers to this panel using our Petite Flowers Stencil with some yellow and orange inks. 

Next, I decided the jar needed something behind it to frame it so I used our Oval Frames Die Set along with patterned paper from our Spring Blooms Paper Pad and some vellum to create two layers of ovals. 

For a message I added  the sentiment "Bright Birthday Wishes" from our Bright Sentiments Hot Foil Plates.  I foiled this using my hot foil machine with some gold foil and then cut it out using the Banner Duo Die Set. I layered this over the jar to complete this fun card!

Once this card was completed, I decided to create a few more cards using the same layout and different flowers. 

This was made exactly the same as above but uses our Daffodils Stamp Set: 

This one uses our Tulips Stamp Set: 

For this one I switched up the colors to purples and then used our Lilac Stamp Set:

And last, I switched the colors to pinks and used our Roses Stamp Set:

Let Love Bloom Slimline Shaker Card by Amanda Wilcox

Let Love Bloom!

What color of rose is your favorite? Yellow roses are definitely on the top of my list of my list! If you like yellow roses, you will adore this beautiful card by Amanda today. She started out by stamping the flowers from our Roses Stamp Set and coloring them in lovely yellow tones. She cut the flower image out using the coordinating Roses Die Set.

For her card, she chose to create a slimline card layout. She used our new Slimline Circles & Squares Masking Stencil to create a trio squares in soft pink. Then she used the frame from our  Slimline Frames & Windows Die Set to create a shaker window! This frame fits perfectly over the stenciled squares. To add a scallop edged frame behind the whole thing she used the large die from the Slimline Frames & Portholes Die Set.  

This shaker window is filled with iridescent circle shapes and is the perfect backdrop for the lovely roses to sit on top. For the sentiment, she added the "Let Love Bloom" Sentiment from our Heartfelt Roses Stamp Set, stamped onto a white banner that was cut out using our Banner Trio Die Set. 

In this close up, you can see all the shimmer from the shaker window and the bit of added sparkle on the flower too!

This incredible floral card by Amanda would be perfect to send to a friend for Valentine's Day or could be used for wedding, engagement or anniversary card too!

A Beautiful Thank You!

Today we are sharing a beautiful thank you floral card and video by Tina featuring our new Roses Stamp Set.

I am sad to say that this project marks the LAST blog post for Tina Smith as a regular Design Team Member at Newton's Nook Designs! We have enjoyed having her share her beautiful cards and inspiration with us over the last six months and are sad to see her step down from sharing each new release with us.

Now, onto this beautiful card by Tina!
To create this amazing card with a gorgeous layout of roses, she stamped the image of roses from the Roses Stamp Set multiple times so she could layer and overlap them! She colored the blooms in gorgeous shades of pink, orange and yellow and cut the images out using the coordinating Roses Die Set. She tucked in a metallic embossed "thank you" onto a stitched banner that was cut out using our Banner Trio Die Set. She also used our Frames & Flags Die Set to add a the stitched and scalloped border to the background panel. A few irridescent sequins finish add the finishing touch to this gorgeous card.

A Beautiful Birthday!

Today Tatiana has created a gorgeous one layer birthday card featuring our new Roses Stamp Set. She stamped the image of the cluster of roses multiple times along the edge of her card, carefully masking it off to overlap the images. Then she colored the images with gorgeous shades of pink and green using markers. She stamped the "have a beautiful birthday" sentiment, also from the Roses Stamp Set, onto the white are of the card. A bit of pink splatter and some lovely irridescent sequins add the perfect finishing touch.

This card is so lovely on just one layer! It's perfect for sending special birthday wishes!

Tina creates a serene scene, perfect for a celebrating a relaxing day! She features the images of the cat and dog snuggling on our Porch Swing Friends Stamp Set, coloring it in gorgeous colors. She layers the image over a woodsy setting, created using our Evergreens Stencil and Sky Scene Builders Die Set. Then she frames the image with a frame cut out using two dies from our Frames & Flags Die Set, adding string to tops of the swing for a special touch! 

This exquisite slimline shaker card was created by Larissa. She combined frames from both our Slimline Frames & Portholes Die Set and our Slimline Frames & Windows Die Set to create a fun shaker frame with three windows. Inside the shaker windows she added three beautifully colored roses from our Roses Stamp Set and some iridescent sequins for a lovely sparkle!

The kitty and puppy on this scene are having such a relaxing time! Zsofia created an adorable setting for the card using our Sky Borders Die Set for the tree top and our  Forest Scene Builder Die Set for the tree trunks. The friends from our Porch Swing Friends Stamp Set look perfect, hanging from the tree. She also used the "Relax & unwind" word die cut that is included in the coordinating Porch Swing Friends Die Set.

This stunning floral card was created by Tatiana. She the cluster of blooms from our new Roses Stamp Set, stamping and watercoloring it twice. She stacked the images and added them to a scallop edged panel that was cut out using our Frames & Flags Die Set. She added the "hello" embossed in gold onto a vellum circle that was cut out using the new Slimline Frames & Portholes Die Set. 

Maria crafted a beautiful friendship card, featuring our Porch Swing Friends Stamp Set. She colored the dog and cat napping on the swing in lovely colors. Then she crafted a fun porch scene, adding a floorboards and then light teal patterned wallpaper with our Serene Stripes Stencil.  A potted cacti helps set the scene, added in from our Cultivated Cacti Stamp Set. 

Naki's beautiful card is perfect for sending relaxing wishes to friend! She embossed the image of the cat and dog from our Porch Swing Friends Stamp Set in white to give it soft edges. Then she colored it in gorgeous soft hues with pops of navy and yellow on the blankets. She added the die cut sentiment from sparkly paper. She also added a lovely scalloped edge using our Frames & Flags Die Set. This card truly has a relaxing vibe!

Andrea created a gorgeous slimline card filled with floral blooms! She used our Slimline Frames & Portholes Die Set to cut out the layers and added blue distress ink to the front layer. She then colored three sets of roses from the new Roses Stamp Set, tucking them into each circle opening. The sentiment "You are Amazing" was added on from the Floral Roundabout Stamp Set, embossed onto a banner cut out using our Banner Trio Die Set.

Samantha created a stunning starry night scene for her card today. She created stenciled a sky of navy colored clouds using our Clouds Stencil and then added stars on top using our Starfield Stencil with white texture paste. Then she colored the cozy dog and cat image from our new Porch Swing Friends Stamp Set in fun rainbow colors and layered it over the top. The sentiment was added onto a vellum banner cut out with our Banner Trio Die Set. 

This yellow rose card by Ellen is truly breathtaking! She colored the cluster of blooms from our Roses Stamp Set in vibrant shades of yellow. Then she framed the image with a yellow frame using our Framework Die Set. For the card background she created a tiny yellow and orange flower pattern using our Petite Flowers Stencil. She framed this panel with a yellow scalloped frame cut out with our Frames & Flags Die Set.

This friendship cay by Amanda is so dreamy! She colored the friends from our Porch Swing Friends Stamp Set, adding accents with a white gel pen. Then she layered the image over a gorgeous cloudy sky, created with our Clouds Stencil. For the square could layers she used our Frames Squared Die Set for the stitched and scalloped edges!
