Happy Birthday with Cycling Freinds Card by Amanda Wilcox

Riding By to Say Happy Birthday!

Today Amanda created a beautiful Birthday card with a bit of added fall flair! 

To create this fun card she started with image of the bicycling dog and kitty from our Cycling Friends Stamp Set. She colored the animal friends in neutral colors and added a bright red for the bicycle and pops of green and blue on their accessories and on the added gifts and balloons! The images were cut out using the coordinating Cycling Friends Die Set. 

Here is a close up so you can see the coloring and the fun added glossy accents!

Next she stamped and embossed the big circle of fall leaves from our Fall Roundabout Stamp Set using gold embossing powder. She inked over the image with shades of blue ink and then cut it out into a tag using our Fancy Edges Tag Die Set for the tag! So pretty! She added some twine to tie a bow and layered the tag behind the adorable friends on their bicycle! 

For the care base, she created a that background pattern using our Houndstooth Stencil. She gave it extra detail by applying Decofoil flock to the stenciled pattern! So fun! 

The finishing touch is message. She stamped the words from our  Cycling Friends Stamp Set in different colors and cut them out so she could stack them on the upper right side of the card! 

This card has so many fun details that all pair perfectly together!

Grateful Fall Card by Samantha Mann

Grateful Fall Card

Today we are sharing this amazing Autumn card by Samantha! This beautiful card would be perfect for letting someone know how grateful you are for them this Fall!

To create this beautiful card she started by ink blending a background in gorgeous purples and oranges for Fall. Then she used our Fall Roundabout Stamp Set and embossed the big leaf image in white over the top to create that gorgeous fall background! What a fabulous idea for creating a pattern. Then she used three leaves from our Autumn Leaves Die Set to die cut leaf silhouettes out of a white cardstock panel. She removed the die cuts and just used the outside paper to make the gorgeous frame, layering it over that inked and stamped background! Gorgeous! 

She added a bit of twine across the top and added more leaves, some cut out using our Autumn Leaves Die Set and some using our Flower Trio Die Set, cut from decorative vellum paper. She also added a long tag using the "grateful for you" sentiment from the Fall Roundabout Stamp Set, embossed in white onto a stitched banner from our Banner Trio Die Set.

Fall Blessings Card by Samantha Mann

Gorgeous Fall Blessings!

Have you started your Christmas crafting yet or are you still working on Fall? If you are still in the mood for fall, this amazing card by Samantha is sure inspire!

For this beautiful creation, Samantha started by creating a background using our Falling Leaves Stencil with various pink and orange distress inks. Then she added tons of water and white paint splatters too for a beautiful texture. 

For the sentiment she used "fall blessings" from the Fall Roundabout Stamp Set, embossing it on white onto a black banner that was die cut using our Banner Trio Die Set. 

Next, she die cut a variety of leaves using our Autumn Leaves Die Set and our Flower Trio Die Set with gold, vellum, and textured papers. She clustered the leaves all around the sentiment on her card. Those lovely paper textures give it such a unique look!

Fall Themed Card Duo by Farhana Sarker

A Fun Fall Duo!

Today we are sharing two beautiful fall cards by Farhana. These two cards are similar in layout but use different fall products. Let's take a look! 

Her first card is fall themed thank you:

To create this lovely card she first dry embossed the basketweave pattern onto a kraft colored card base using our Basketweave Stencil with an embossing machine to give the card a subtle texture. She then cut a circle out of the front using our Circle Frame Die Set. She stamped the beautiful image of leaves in a circle from our Fall Roundabout Stamp Set on the inside panel of the card, lining it up so that it fit behind the circle cut out. Then she stamped and colored the kitty from our Paw-tumn Newton Stamp Set and cut the image out using the coordinating Paw-tumn Newton Die Set. She layered this onto the front of the card along with the "give thanks" sentiment from the Fall Roundabout Stamp Set, stamped onto a banner that was die cut using our Banner Trio Die Set. So adorable!

Her second card is a fun fall themed card using a similar layout:

For this card she started out the same, dry embossing the basketweave pattern onto the kraft colored card base using our Basketweave Stencil. This time instead of a circle, she die cut a scalloped heart out of the front using our Heart Frames Die Set. On the inside panel she stamped the image of leaves in a heart shape from our Heartfelt Fall Stamp Set. Then she stamped and colored the sign with all the fun fall images surrounding it from our Signs of Fall Stamp Set. Aren't those light green pumpkins beautiful!? This set has a bunch of sentiments that fit on the sign and she chose to use the word "welcome" embossed in white. The image was then cut out using the coordinating Signs of Fall Die Set. 

We hope this set of cards has inspired you! It really shows you how once you have one card layout designed, you can easily change it up by changing out the image or shape!

Grateful for You Card by Farhana Sarker

Grateful for You!

Today we are sharing a beautiful autumn thank you card by Farhana. This unique card features a window on the front that opens to an image inside! What a fun idea!

To create this interesting layout, she started with a white card base. She cut a circle out of the front panel of the card using our Circle Frames Die Set. Then she embossed the big circle of leaves from our Fall Roundabout Stamp Set with metallic embossing powder on the inside of her card, lining it up so that it shows through the circle window. 

Next, she embellished the window by die cutting the leaves and pumpkins from several colors of cardstock using our Fall Friends Die Set. She gave them a bit of extra fun detail by adding lines of color over the stitched details using coordinating colors of markers! The sentiment was stamped using the Fall Roundabout Stamp Set onto a yellow banner that was cut out using our Banner Trio Die Set. She adhered the banner across the open circle.

When you open the card, the entire image is revealed and there is still plenty of room to hand write a short message to the recipient! 

This autumn thank you card is sure to make someone feel special! You could also duplicate this layout with any of the stamps in our circle card front category to create greetings for other occasions too! There are so many possibilities!

Grateful for You Card by Amy Tsuruta

Grateful for You!

Although we've started sharing Christmas cards, there is still a bit of time left to celebrate fall too! Today we have an amazing Fall themed card by Amy! She combined several fun fall themed products to create this cozy Fall scene! First she colored the big image of sunflowers from our Sunflower Days Stamp Set.  Then she added pumpkins in front of the sunflowers, using images from our Fall-ing for You Stamp Set and our Pumpkin Latte Stamp Set. She also added the girl carrying her coffee from the Pumpkin Latte Stamp Set. The images were cut out using the coordinating Sunflower Days Die Set and  Pumpkin Latte Die Set.  She layered everything over a stitched circle to contain the scene (cut out with our Circle Frames Die Set). She also added a bit of grass along the bottom of the circle using our Land Borders Die Set.

Behind the circle, she added two fun layers with decorative edges that were cut out using our Framework Die Set. On the top layer she also added a soft argyle pattern using our Argyle Stencil Set. The finishing touch is the sentiment "Grateful for you" from our Fall Roundabout Stamp Set. It was added onto a banner that has a pop up dimension to it from our Banner Trio Die Set. 

This card is jam packed with cozy fall fun, don't you think!?

Fall Card Duo by October Guest Designer Farhana S

Happy Monday everyone! Hope y’all had a great weekend and lots of crafty time! Last week I shared a pair of gatefold cards that took a little time to put together and a longer list of products! So today, I made another pair of cards, this time only using stamps! And a little scrap pattern paper that was lying on my desk!



I made these cards using my favourite technique of copic coloring on kraft card stock. I will recommend using a brown copic friendly ink instead of the go to black ink for a better finish.



For the first card I used the Fall Roundabout Stamp Set, stamped twice off the two edges of an A2 piece of kraft paper. Then I colored in the images using copic markers, in fall colors. I stamped the sentiment form the same Fall Roundabout Stamp Set, using a brown ink and added a few sequins. To finish off the card, I trimmed it down, backed it with some matching pattern paper and adhered it to a A2 card base.



For the second card, I stamped the square image from the Fall Fringe Stamp Set at an angle and colored it in using copic markers. I stamped the sentiment in the center from the same set, trimmed it down, added some of the same pattern paper as the first card along with a few sequins before adhering it to a A2 card base.



I hope you are inspired by these no dies needed card! Fun fact way back when Newton’s Nook started, they didn’t have dies and I didn’t own a die cutting machine, so I used to do a LOT of fussy cutting!

Grateful for You Card by Andrea Shell

Grateful for You!

Today we are sharing a gorgeous fall shaker card by Andrea! She created this awesome shaker by with the big round image of leaves from our Fall Roundabout Stamp Set. She embossed the image in white over that gorgeous fall colored background. Then she created a shaker window for it using our Circle Frames Die Set and filled it with irridescent sequins. so pretty! 

Around the shaker she added some fun fall embellishments. At the top she placed an acorn and some leaves that were die cut out using our Autumn Leaves Die Set. In the lower corner she added that adorable mouse holding a big acorn from our Autumn Mice Stamp Set. That cute mouse was colored and cut out using the coordinating Autumn Mice Die Set.  She also tucked the "Grateful for You" from sentiment, also from the Fall Roundabout Stamp Set in behind the mouse. The sentiment was stamped onto a banner that was cut out using our Banner Trio Die Set. All of this was layered over a gingham background created using our  Gingham Stencil over a scallop edged panel that was cut out using our Frames & Flags Die Set. 

So many wonderful fall products mixed together!

Fall Themed Gatefold Cards by October Guest Designer Farhana S.

Today we are welcoming our October Guest Designer, Farhana, from Everyday Engineered! We have been loving her projects created with our products for our Inky Paws Challenges and on instagram! Her beautiful cards with gorgeous color combos and lovely layouts have caught our eye and we can't wait to share what she creates using our products this month! Hi there! I'm Farhana and I've been crafting for almost 10 years now! It's always been paper crafts, transitioning from scrapbooking to cardmarking. Newton's Nook Design stamps were some of my firsts from back in 2013, so there are many retired sets in my stash. Inky Paws card challenge was also the first challenge that I ever did! After break, I have the time to enjoy them again!

I'm a huge fan of florals and pumpkins, so I am beyond excited to be the guest designer for one of my favourite brands! Thank you Jen and Samantha for making a dream come true!

Happy Monday y’all! I’m so excited for today’s post as my dream to design for Newton’s Nook Designs has come true! I’ll be sharing every Monday in October, so please stop by to see what I have to share!    

Today I’m sharing a pair of mini gatefold cards, I made using the Fall Fringe and Fall Roundabout Stamp Sets. The final card size is shy of 5 x 5 inches, but I said mini because the area to write a message is smaller than an A2 card. 

I started by stamping both the images from the Fall Fringe and Fall Roundabout Stamp Sets on to heavyweight white cardstock with brown copic friendly ink. After coloring them (I used a ton of colors! I’ll list them at the end of the post!), I re-stamped the image using embossing ink, and heat embossed with gold (Remember not to move your stamp before embossing!). Then I die cut them using the Circle Frames and Frames Squares dies, and cut them in half with a paper trimmer.

For the card base, I cut squares from the same heavyweight white cardstock and ink blended them lightly to match the colored images (I used scattered straw, dried marigold and shabby shutter distress oxide inks). Then I created the gatefold part of the card from 4 x 5 inch pieces of kraft card stock, scoring a half inch from each end. Lastly, before assembling the cards, I ink blended the same inks as the card base on to some scrap kraft cardstock, and embossed sentiments from the Fall Fringe Stamp Set, and cut them out using a smallest stitched circle from the Circle Frames Die Set dies. 

Now, we can finally assemble the card! I started by adhering the cut colored images to the shorter flaps of the kraft gatefold card using double sided tape. For the circle card, I flipped it, do the center of the circle was adhered to the creased edge. Using some more double sided tape I adhered the gatefold card to the ink blended card base. Lastly for the sentiment I used a little foam tape and placed it in the center of the flaps.

Happy Fall Card by Amy Tsuruta

Happy Fall!

Today Amy is back with another gorgeous fall creation! Her card today features the circle of leaves from our Fall Roundabout Stamp Set. Many times when we think of fall we head for the dark reds, oranges and yellows but today, Amy colored her image in a pastel color theme! Isn't it gorgeous? These colors are still perfect for fall and have a soft and cozy feeling too!

For the circle frame around the image she used our Circle Frames Die Set, adhering it with foam dimensionals to add more interest to the overall card design.

The sentiment "Happy Fall" is also from the Fall Roundabout Stamp Set and was stamped onto a banner from our Banner Trio Die Set. This tucks perfectly inside the circle! 

For the card base, she created a base that is just shy of the regular A2 size. Making it a little smaller helps accommodate the overlapping circle frame. She also added a fun patterned panel on the bottom half of her card using our Houndstooth Stencil.

Grateful Fall Roundabout Card by Zsofia Molnar

Grateful Fall Card

Today we are sharing a lovely fall card by Zsofia, perfect for the changing of season. This card features the big round image of flowers from our Fall Roundabout Stamp Set.  The image was colored with copic markers in a gorgeous fall color palette. The purple scalloped circle behind the image was cut out using the Circle Frames Die Set. For the sentiment, she chose the "Grateful for you" sentiment, also from the Fall Roundabout Stamp Set, and embossed it using metallic embossing powder. She layered it over the center of the image on a white stripe and added a yellow stripe behind it. For a bit of texture, she added white texture paste to the background of the card using our Hardwood Stencil.

Amanda created a gorgeous fall shaker card today! She used two circle shapes from the Circle Frames Die Set to cut out the shaker frame. The image in the die cut scalloped circle from the Circle Frames Die Set fits perfectly! She also used our Banner Trio Die Set to hold the sentiment and our Frames Squared Die Set to cut out the rounded square.

Tatiana shows how watercoloring the image makes a simple and sweet fall card! She used the image of the kitty with his milk jug filled with sunflowers and pumpkins from the new Paw-tumn Newton Stamp Set with gorgeous watercolors. She added some leaves blowing in the breeze and the sentiment "Smile" from the new Heartfelt Essentials Stamp Set. The stitched rectangle background was cut out using our Frames & Flags Die Set.

Zsofia shows a fun way to use the large circle from the new Fall Roundabout Stamp Set on a square themed card! She stamped and colored the big circle image of leaves from the set twice and cut it out using the interior window cuts from our Slimline Frames & Windows Die Set. What a great way to expand the ways you can use this set. She uses the the Slimline Frames & Portholes Die Set to add the scalloped edge for the slimline card layout too. 

Samantha created this incredible fall card featuring the kitty from our new Paw-tumn Newton Stamp Set. She colored the image in gorgeous colors, adding a pop of teal to the milk jug. She also added in additional sunflowers behind the jug using our Sunflower Days Stamp Set. The card background filled with a gorgeous leaf pattern created with our Falling Leaves Stencil. 

Amy created this exquisite card featuring the leaf image from our new Fall Roundabout Stamp Set. Isn't the soft fall color palette she used so beautiful and unexpected? She also used our Circle Frames Die Set to cut out the image and the scalloped circle frame around it and our Banner Trio Die Set to hold the "Welcome Autumn" sentiment. 

The pop of teal mixed with fall colors on this card by Larissa is so cheerful! She used our the image of the kitty peeking around the fall sunflowers and milk jug from the new Paw-tumn Newton Stamp Set over a fun teal inked sky. She also added some grass to the scene using our Land Borders Die Set and framed the scene with a scalloped teal frame using our Frames & Flags Die Set. The sentiments on the card and envelope are added using our new Heartfelt Essentials Stamp Set. She also used the new Houndstooth Stencil to add some pattern to the envelope flap!

Maria created this spectacular fall greeting. She used the big circle of leaves from our new Fall Roundabout Stamp Set, stamping it in opposite corners and coloring it with a lovely fall color palette. She added die cut leaves to the center using our Autumn Leaves Die Set. the finishing touch is the sentiment, "Happy Fall" stamped onto a banner from our Banner Trio Die Set. So beautiful!
