Bark-ing Mad for Dog Themed Valentines!

Hello! Jen here today and I'm sharing some fun dog themed Valentine cards. 

For these cards I used the following dog themed products:

Dog Silhouettes Die Set

Love & Woofs Paper Pad

Say Woof Stamp Set

Woof Stencil

Petite Paw Prints Stencil

I thought it would be fun to combine the sentiments from our Say Woof Stamp Set with our Dog Silhouettes Die Set. For my first card I decided to do a dachshund theme. I cut out the little dachshund using the Dog Silhouettes Die Set and picked a paper with dachshunds from our Love & Woofs Paper Pad.

I  stenciled a piece of dark pink cardstock using our Woof Stencil with some white texture paste. When that was dry I grabbed our Fractured Card Layout Die and cut out the stenciled panel along with the cute dachshund paper. I also cut it out again with light pink and white cardstock for the frame and the center. Then I simply assembled all the pieces and stamped the sentiment from the Say Woof Stamp Set. 

 

For my next card I chose the labrador from our Dog Silhouettes Die Set for the main image, cutting it from black cardstock. Then I cut out a pieced of light pink cardstock to 4" x 5 1/4" and stenciled pink pawprints using our Petite Paw Prints Stencil.

To help make this card into a valentine theme I cut out several hearts using our Heart Frames Die Set using pink and gray cardstock. I added the sentiment from the Say Woof Stamp Set onto the largest heart, embossing it in white. Then I assembled the card, arranging all the hearts and the dog along the edge of the stenciled area. 

I was having fun stenciling so I created another card using our Woof Stencil. I stenciled the words in dark pink over a light pink cardstock. Then I took the same darker pink ink and lightly blended over the top to create the pink ombré effect. I cut this panel out using the large postage edged frame from the Framework Die Set. 

I cut out the cute little terrier dog from black cardstock using our Dog Silhouettes Die Set. Again, I wanted to add a heart and I cut out a big heart using the Heart Frames Die Set. I embossed the sentiment from the Say Woof Stamp Set onto the heart. I found a circle that the pup would fit into from our Circle Frame Die Set. I assembled the pieces over the stenciled background, added a vellum banner that was cut out using our Basic Frames Die Set.

For my last card I kept it super simple! I wanted to use our Card Layout 2 Die and I cut it out using light pink cardstock. Then I chose 3 different patterns from the Love & Woofs Paper Pad and cut those out using the same die. I inserted the die cut pieces back into the frame. 

I picked a sentiment from the Say Woof Stamp Set and stamped it onto a circle from the Circle Frames Die Set. Then I cut out two small hearts using the Heart Frames Die Set with a bright pink paper and added those to each side of the card. This card was so quick and easy to make!

I had a lot of fun finding ways to combine different papers and dies to create dog themed Valentine cards! I hope you are inspired to create some cards for the dog lovers in your life!

Tons of Fun! Valentine Card by Diane Morales

TONS of Valentine Fun!

With February just around the corner it's time to get going on Valentine cards! Today we have a card by Diane featuring our Love Quarry Stamp Set that you are going to totally DIG! 

Our Love Quarry set is filled with adorable trucks hauling hearts and is perfect for Valentine greetings. For her card today Diane chose three of the trucks from the set along with the construction cones and hearts, stamping them and coloring them with alcohol markers. She cut the images out using the coordinating Love Quarry Die Set. 

To create the card she used our A2 Card Layout 2 Die. She cut it out several times using pink, white and kraft colored paper. Then she assembled all the pieces together, using the lower pink square to hold the sentiment. So fun!

This whimsical card is perfect for sending a Valentine's Day wish!

A-MEOW-ZING Birthday Card by Diane Morales

Make a birthday a-MEOW-zing!

Do you know a cat lover who deserves a special birthday wish? Today we are sharing a card by Diane that that you can send to wish them an a-MEOW-zing day! 

This features our Cat Birthday Party Stamp Set, A2 Card Layout 2 Die Set and our Confetti Hot Foil Plate.

To create this card Diane used our Confetti Hot Foil Plate with metallic foils on pink, yellow and purple cardstock. Then she cut out the foiled panels using our  A2 Card Layout 2 Die Set. She used the same die again with white cardstock to create the frame. Then she assembled all the pieces together on her card base. 

Next she stamped and colored all those fun celebratory cat images using our Cat Birthday Party Stamp Set. When coloring the images she chose colors that coordinated with her foiled cardstock panels. She then cut the images out using the coordinating Cat Birthday Party Die Set. She added the cute kitties onto her card, layering them over the foiled panels. 

Last, she added the fun birthday message. She cut out a banner using our Frames & Flags Die Set from white cardstock and stamped "Have an a-meow-zing Birthday" from the Cat Birthday Party Stamp Set. 

The shimmery foil and celebratory kitties are purr-fect for making a cat lover smile on their birthday!

Happy Halloween! Partial Shaker Card by Amanda Wilcox

Happy Halloween!

Are you ready for Halloween crafting? Today we are sharing an awesome Halloween themed card by Amanda that might just get you inspired to start your crafting for the spooky season!

For this card Amanda features our Spooky Stories Stamp Set and A2 Card Layout 2 Die Set.

She cut out the design from the A2 Card Layout 2 Die Set twice, once from black and once from white. She used the black for the frame and then ink blended over all the white stitched pieces to using fun halloween themed colors. She stamped the sentiment images from the Spooky Stories Stamp Set directly onto the lower left corner piece and then stamped the other images onto  a separate piece of white cardstock and die cut them using the coordinating Spooky Stories Die Set. She layered the die cut images over the other ink blended pieces. 

She assembled the card together using dimensional adhesive, leaving the orange piece with the sentiment lower than the rest of the frame and added acetate and sequins to make a little shaker in the corner! What a fun idea!

Cats, Love & Boxes Card by Samantha Mann

Cats, Love & Boxes!

Today Samantha has created an adorable card filled with kitties and boxes! If you own a cat, you know how much they love boxes and our Newton Loves Boxes Stamp Set is the perfect way to share that love! 

We love the neutral color palette that she choose for this card and how she added shades pink for the boxes! She stamped and colored all those cute images of cats squeezed into boxes from the Newton Loves Boxes Stamp Set, adding white highlights with a gel pen. She cut the images out using the coordinating  Newton Loves Boxes Die Set.

For her card base she created a textured background using our Meow Stencil with white texture paste. Then she cut out the frame using our A2 Card Layout 2 Die Set and layered it over the textured panel. She arranged all of her images into the windows of the frame and tucked in the sentiment, also from the Newton Loves Boxes Stamp Set. 

This card is guaranteed to make any cat lover smile!

Have a Bee-utiful Day! Card by Amanda Wilcox

Have a BEE-utiful Day!

Today we are sharing a super cute bee themed card by Amanda featuring our Beekeeper Newton Stamp Set! 

For this sweet card Amanda starts out by stamping and coloring a bunch of images from the beekeeper set. She stamps multiples of the honey jars and bees so that she has extras for her card. She colors all the image in soft neutral tones to match the Natural Basics Paper Pad that she is planning on using. Pairing your images with a paper pad can make chosing a color palette so much easier! 

For her card layout she uses our A2 Card Layout 2 Die Set. She cut it out once from white to use as the outside border. Then she used the same die with the heart patterned papers from our Natural Basics Paper Pad. She added the die cut pieces to a white card base with dimensional adhesive. 

Once the background was complete she added all the little images from the Beekeeper Newton Stamp Set, putting some into each die cut shape. She also added the sentiment, embossed in white onto a black cardstock banner that was cut out using our Basic Frames Die Set. 

We think this card is BEE-utiful! How about you?

Spring Heights Card by Samantha Mann

Climb Up for a Better View with Newton! 

Today Samantha has created an gorgeous card featuring our Spring Heights Stamp Set that that is sure to inspire!

For this fun card, Samantha die cut out the background using our A2 card Layout 2 Die Set. Then she taped the pieces together and ink blended the panel using blues and greens with our Cascading Stars Stencil and our Hills & Grass Stencil. She also used white embossing paste to add a few white stars, again with our Cascading Stars Stencil.  Then she assembled all the pieces onto the card, using foam adhesive on the frame edges to add a bit of dimension. 

Now she has the perfect setting to add in the fun image of the kitties in the tree from our  Spring Heights Stamp Set. The kitties were colored in fun neutral grays with cute pink cheeks and she cut the image out using the coordinating Spring Heights Die Set. 

The finishing touch is the sentiment, which she embossed in white onto a circle that was cut out using our Frames Squared Die Set.

Heights of Birthday Delights Card by Donna Idlet

Birthday Delights!

Today Donna pairs our new die set with some birthday favorites to create adorable card that is filled with birthday delights!

She started out by coloring that adorable image of kitties climbing a tall birthday cake from our Newton's Birthday Delights Stamp Set. She also colored birthday hats and gifts and added glitter to the layers of frosting on the cake for added sparkle! All the images were cut out using the coordinating Newton's Birthday Delights Die Set. 

For her card background she used our new A2 Card Layout 2 Die Set. She cut it from blue paper to create the outer frame and then cut it again several times using fun papers from our Birthday Meows Paper Pad. Isn't it fun how the patterned papers match the image? She stamped the sentiment over the pink pattern and then layered her colored images onto the card. 

This delightful birthday card would be purr-fect to send to a cat lover!

Heart Shaped Puppy Card by Samantha Mann

Heart Shaped Puppy Card! 

Today we are sharing an adorable heart shaped card  by Samantha that is filled with puppies!

Have you ever created a shaped card? Adding a shape gives your card an unexpected custom touch that is sure to surprise and delight the recipient! For this fun heart shaped card Samantha used our Heart Frames Die Set to create the shape. She added ink to the die cut heart and some paw prints using our Petite Paw Prints Stencil. For the fun white frames she used our A2 Card Layout 2 Die Set, cutting it once in white and then again with the heart so that it all aligned perfectly. 

Once the heart layout was complete she added in the puppies. She used our Puppy Friends Stamp Set to stamp these adorable puppy images and then colored them using alcohol markers. She added fun texture to the doggies fur to represent a multicolored fur on an Australian Shepherd dog. So adorable! The images were cut out using the coordinating Puppy Friends Die Set. 

She added the pups to her card along with the sentiment "You make Ruff Days Better" embossed in white. She added a tiny heart, also using our  Heart Frames Die Set with paw prints added using our  Petite Paw Prints Stencil. This adds the perfect pop of color!
