Rain or Shine!

Today we are brightening up a rainy day with this beautiful card by Samantha!

To create this cheerful card,  Samantha started by coloring the kitty with the umbrella from our Newton's Rainy Day Stamp Set. She colored the umbrella in rainbow colors and added cute pink cheeks and white gel pen accents to the coloring. The image was cut out using the coordinating Newton's Rainy Day Die Set. our So cute! 

She decided that her card would need more ducks so she stamped and colored the two more duckies from our Newton's Rain Boots Stamp Set and cut them out with the coordinating Newton's Rain Boots Die Set. 

Next, she created a gorgeous ink blended panel using several shades of blue ink. She cut it using our new Frames & Tags Die Set to create the fun framed border. 

For her card base, she used a white card front and then added textured raindrops to it using our Raindrops Stencil with white texture paste! What a great finishing touch!

Hello Card by Ellen Haxelmans

Customized Card for a Happy Hello!

Today Ellen has created a fun spring card that is sure to make a friend feel special. This fun custom card features the kitty in some fun pink rain boots from our Newton's Rain Boots Stamp Set. She colored this cute image along with the flowers and ducks from the set and cut them out using the coordinating Newton's Rain Boots Die Set.  

This cute image was added onto a scene that was created using our Land Borders Die Set for grass and hills, our Fence Die Set and our Sky Scene Builder Die Set to add clouds. Over the sky she created a custom sentiment by spelling her friends name using letters die cut out with our Essential Alphabet Die Set. She also added "hello"  and some tiny hearts from the Newton's Birdhouse Stamp Set. 

How to create this card:

Below we have some instructions from Ellen on how to create this card.

1. (left photo) I colored the images from the Newton's Rain Boots Stamp Set with Copic Markers:
   Ducks: beak YR16, Y38, YR31, body Y17 + Y17, Y15, Y13, Y11 + belly Y02, Y00, Y000
   Cat: body Y28, E43, E41, E40 + ears: RV13, RV42, E02
   Boots: gold Y28, Y26, Y21 + pink RV06, RV04, RV02, R000 + light purple RV19, RV17, RV14, RV06, RV04 + dark purple V09, BV08, BV04
   Flowers: leaves YG07, YG05, YG03, YG00 + blue BG13, BG11, BG10 + yellow YR16, Y35, Y13
   Hearts: RV04, RV21, RV00.
   
   
2. (center photo) Next I created the background using the Sky Scene Builder Die Set, Land Borders Die Set and Fence Die Set and distress ink.
   
   
3. (right photo) As last step I added the message on the card. I transferred the foil on top of a Transfer Sheet. I did cut a piece of foil slightly larger than the design. Then I placed foil, color side up, on top of the back side of the Transfer Sheet. I placed both pieces inside a folded parchment paper. Next inserted the folded parchment paper with the project into a hot laminator. As the last step, I took out the project and peeled the foil transfer sheet away to reveal the foiled piece of paper! It was time to die cut the name out of this glimmer paper using the Essential Alphabet Die Set!

Get Wellie Soon by January Guest Deisgner Tricia Barber

Hey there! It's my last guest designer post with you! I have had so much fun sharing with you each week. For my last card, I used the Newton's Rain Boots Stamp Set and the Argyle Stencil Set. This stamp just screams spring! I don't know about you but I have started counting down the days for warmer weather.

I stamped the images out and colored with my Copic markers. I decided to fussy cut a flower and the little yellow chick to pop up on my main panel. Typically, I would cut out all the images I stamped and pop up on a panel but decided to do just the two small images for something different. I stamped the sentiment from Newton's Rain Boots Stamp Set on the main image.



For my background, I used the Argyle Stencil Set and ink blended Distress Oxides in Carved Pumpkin and Picked Raspberry onto pink cardstock. I love these layering stencils and they are so easy to use. I added some final details with my white gel pen. This bright and cheerful card is perfect for get well wishes!

Get Wellie Soon Card by Andrea Shell

Get Wellie Soon!

If you know someone who is sick, this card by Andrea would definitely brighten their day! She created this gorgeous get well card featuring the kitty snuggled inside wellie boots from our Newton's Rain Boots Stamp Set. She colored the image in fun bright primary colors, adding white polka dots to the boots using a white gel pen. So cute! She also colored a second ducky image from the set and cut all the images out using the coordinating Newton's Rain Boots Die Set.

She layered  the images over a gorgeous rainbow background that was created with alcohol inks and die cut out using our Frames Squared Die Set. She also layered added a scalloped square from vellum using our Frames Squared Die Set.  The finishing touch is a cloud, sun and raindrops, cut out using our Sky Scene Builder Die Set.

What a cheerful card to send someone who hasn't been feeling well. It is sure to make the recipient smile!

Get Wellie Soon Card & Video by Tina Smith

Get Wellie Soon!

Today Tina shares an adorable card that is perfect for sending cheerful get well wishes! For this fun card she used our Newton's Rain Boots Stamp Set. Although the main stamp in this set is a big image of Newton in Rain Boots, she choose to use the cute little duck image in the set and made this small image the focus of her card! This is such a fun idea as often we forget to use the small images included in the sets!

She stamped and colored the cute little duck image 6 times to create a card that is filled with adorable ducks! She used the coordinating Newton's Rain Boots Die Set to cut out the images and layered them over speech bubbles in different directions that were cut out using our Speech Bubble Die Set. She also used the sentiment "Get wellie soon" from the Newton's Rain Boots Stamp Set, stamped multiple times into the speech bubbles.

For the background she created layers of splashes using our Waves & Splashes Stencil.

Hoppy Easter Folding Scene Card by Amanda Wilcox

Hoppy Easter!

Today we are sharing a fun interactive card by Amanda that is perfect for a special Easter greeting! She created this sweet Spring scene featuring two of the bunnies from our new Hop Into Spring Stamp Set. She stamped the images in gray ink to give them soft edges and colored them using watercolors for a soft look. She cut the images out using the coordinating Hop Into Spring Die Set. The scene has cuts and folds so that it opens up to reveal a larger scene (this technique is called a wiper surprise card).

The scene was created using our Land Borders Die Set for the hill and grass layers. The clouds in the sky were added using our Clouds Stencil and the sun was die cut out using our new Sky Scene Builders Die Set. The little ducky and flowers are from the Newton's Rain Boots Stamp Set and add on even more cuteness!

The sentiment was added above the bunny with the daffodil using a bubble from our Speech Bubbles Die Set to hold it above his head.

Maria brightens up a rainy day with adorable pink polka dotted boots and adorable duckies! She features the images of the kitty in rain boots and the ducks from our new Newton's Rain Boots Stamp Set. She also adds in a kitty umbrella  from our Umbrella Pals Stamp Set. To set the scene she uses our Land Borders Die Set to create hills and grass and then adds in a rainy sky using our  Raindrops Stencil and clouds from our new Sky Scene Builder Die Set. So cute!

This card by Andrea is sure to cheer up someone who isn't feeling well. She creates an adorable scene using the kitty in boots from our Newton's Rain Boots Stamp Set. Isn't it adorable how she added stripes to the fur? Then she builds a scene using our Fence Die Set, our Land Borders Die Set for the grass and our Sky Borders Die Set. Raindrops fill the sky, added in with our new Raindrops Stencil. 

This adorable card by Tina will definitely "quack" you up! She uses our new Newton's Rain Boots Stamp Set for the image of the kitty in rain boots and adds the ducks peeking through the edges of a circle filled with rain using our Raindrops Stencil.  The scalloped edge was added using our Frames & Flags Die Set. The gorgeous rainbow on this card by Samantha is perfect for a get well wish! She created a lovely rainy background using our new  Raindrops Stencil and then added rainbow colors over the top. She also features that cute kitty and boots image from the new Newton's Rain Boots Stamp Set, adding the sentiment into a bubble cut out using our Speech Bubbles Die Set.

How about a pair of cute floral boots? Naki created just that by paper piercing the boots using the image from the new Newton's Rain Boots Stamp Set. She adds soft sweet colors to the kitty and yellow tulips too. For the card background she creates a rainy scene using our new Raindrops Stencil in the background. So perfect for sending cheer on a rainy day!

Newton is having so much fun with his ducky friends on this sweet card by Ellen. She features the kitty in some bright blue boots from our Newton's Rain Boots Stamp Set, along with his ducky friends. For the background she adds in shiny raindrops using our new \ Raindrops Stencil and a layer of grass on along the bottom edge using our Land Borders Die Set. A yellow scalloped panel was added on using our Frames & Flags Die Set too.

This get well card by Amanda is sure to cheer up anyone who is a bit under the weather. She creates and adorable scene featuring Newton and his ducky friends from our new Newton's Rain Boots Stamp Set. She adds in a layer of grass with our Land Borders Die Set and a fence using our Fence Die Set. Then shiny raindrops in the background were created using our new Raindrops Stencil. She frames up the scene with a scalloped edge using our Frames & Flags Die Set. So cheerful!

This card by Zsofia cheer up any rainy Spring day! She features the cute kitty and his ducky friends from the new Newton's Rain Boots Stamp Set, coloring the boots in a fun teal and red color combo! She adds in a rainy sky using our new Raindrops Stencil and some clouds using our new Sky Scene Builder Die Set. The sentiment is stamped onto a banner cut out using our Frames & Flags Die Set and the postage edge was added using our Framework Die Set.

Larissa creates a card that is perfect for spring fun and splashing in the puddles! She features the kitty from the new Newton's Rain Boots Stamp Set, giving the kitty fun teal boots! She creates a scene with grass using our Land Borders Die Set and adds shimmery rain to the background using our Raindrops Stencil. She adds in a few clouds using the new Sky Scene Builder Die Set. Isn't it cute how she colored part of the sentiment teal to match the boots!?
