Under the Sea Card Duo by Ellen Haxelmans

Under the Sea Card Duo by Ellen Haxelmans | Message in a Bottle, Narly Mermaids, and Vitamin Sea Stamp Sets and Seashell and Tropical Fish Stencils by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

Under the Sea Cards

Today we have two amazing under the sea themed cards by Ellen using our some or our new summer products combined with our Message in a Bottle Stamp Set! She's created such clever combinations of products!
Mermaid and Narwhal card by Ellen Haxelmans | Message in a Bottle and Narly Mermaids Stamp Sets and Tropical Fish Stencil by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade
For her first card Ellen used the mermaid hugging the narwhal from our Narly Mermaids Stamp Set. She colored the image with vibrant colors (love the yellow tail) and cut it out using the coordinating
Narly Mermaids Die Set. Then she colored the scroll from our Message in a Bottle Stamp Set and combined it with the sentiment from the Narly Mermaids Stamp Set. She used the Message in a Bottle Die Set to trim it out.  For her background she created an awesome stenciled area of sparkly fish using our Tropical Fish Stencil with glittery paste. This panel was mounted onto a scallop edged teal colored panel that was cut out using our Framework Die Set.
Vitamin Sea card by Ellen Haxelmans | Message in a Bottle and Vitamin Sea Stamp Sets and Seashells Stencil by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade
For her second card Ellen used the big bottle image from our Message in a Bottle Stamp Set and stamped the image inside it from our new Vitamin Sea Stamp Set! So cute! She cut colored everything in fun ocean colors and cut out the bottle and cork using the Message in a Bottle Die Set. For her background on this card she use our Seashells Stencil to create a fun seashell pattern. Again, she mounted the stenciled panel onto a scallop edged orange colored panel that was cut out using our Framework Die Set.

Aren't these ocean themed cards so awesome? It is so neat how you can combine so many of our products together to create unique cards! I hope you are inspired to see what sets you have in your collection that you could use together!

Let's Get Kraken Card by Samantha Mann

Let's Get Kraken SliderCard by Samantha Mann | Message in a Bottle Stamp Set & Sea Borders Die Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

Kraken Slider Card

This slider card by Samantha is so fun! She used our Message in a Bottle Stamp Set to create a fun image of a bottle with a little purple kraken sliding up and down inside it! How perfect is that? It's just like he's bobbing in the water! She stamped and colored the bottle and the kraken and trimmed them both out using the coordinating Message in a Bottle Die Set. The she created a little slider inside the bottle and attached the kraken to that! The she added it to her card with fun layers of water that she created using our Sea Borders Die Set. This set has 3 fun border dies that are perfect for making water scenes. She inked the edges of the die cut pieces with distress in and splattered it with water and ink droplets to get even more of a water look! So fun! She finished off the card by stamping the "Let's get Kraken" sentiment inside the little rolled message scroll and adding that to the card! The little bits of washi at the top give it the perfect finishing touch!

Thank you Samantha for awesome inspiration today! To say hello to Samantha and see more of her beautiful creations, you can visit Samantha's Blog, Sam's Scrap Candy!

Adventure Awaits Semi-Liquid Shaker by Samantha Mann

Adventure Awaits Semi-Liquid Shaker by Samantha Mann | Message in a Bottle stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Ship in a bottle with a water effect!

Today we have a crazy cool card by Samantha using the ship in a bottle from the Message in a Bottle stamp set. She created an awesome little scene, die cutting out the bottle shape with the Message in a Bottle Die Set. Then made a shaker card with it - but this is no ordinary shaker, she added in hair gel to make a shaker that looks like it's filled with water!  Isn't that the COOLEST? She finished it off with the "Adventure Awaits" sentiment, also from the Message in a Bottle stamp set.

Thank you Samantha for the super cool inspiration today! To say hello to Samantha and see more of her awesome creations, you can visit Samantha's Blog, Sam's Scrap Candy!

Ship in a Bottle Card

Ship in a Bottle Card by Jennifer Jackson | Message in a Bottle Stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs

Let you Dreams Set Sail!

Today I wanted to share another fun card using our Message in a Bottle Stamp set and coordinating die! I created this fun bottle image by stamping and cutting out the bottle and the ship with our new coordinating dies. I colored the boat with copics and added a light blue border to the bottle with copics too. Then I also cut another bottle shape out of the vellum (I didn't stamp on the vellum, just used the bottle shape) and I layered that over the top to give it a "frosted" bottle look. I attached some brown and white bakers twine around the bottle neck to help hold it in place.  Then I added a piece of light colored burlap behind the bottle.

Ship in a Bottle Card by Jennifer Jackson | Message in a Bottle Stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs

The base of the card was a white cards tock that I splattered with distress inks and then I added the "Let your dreams set sail" sentiment, also from the  Message in a Bottle stamp set. I also added a strip of red and white stripes to add to the nautical look. I am having SO much fun with this new stamp set and dies too!
