2024 Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Hop!

For our stop on the hop we are featuring a fun coffee themed card by Larissa:

For this beautiful card Larissa used several of our fun coffee themed products. She started by die cutting that to go coffee mug using our Coffee Silhouettes Die Set. She then added ink blending to the different pieces of the travel mug and assembled them together. Next, she used a piece of patterned paper that was filled with coffee beans from our Coffee House Stories Paper Pad and cut it into a scalloped heard using our Heart Frames Die Set.  She also die cut a tag using our Fancy Edges Tag Die Set. She layered the heart and the coffee mug onto the tag, inking a light blue halo behind them. She also added the message "Thanks a LATTE" from our Heartfelt Coffee Stamp Set along the bottom of the tag. 

For her card she chose a light blue card base, matching the light blue halo on the tag. Then she layered a red polka dotted rectangle on top using a patterned paper from our Canine Christmas Paper Pad. She added the tag on top, tying a bunch of pretty ribbon through the top.

What a fun way to send a special thank you! This would also make a perfect gift if you paired it with a mug or bag of coffee!

2023 Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Here's what I created for our stop today:

This card features two of our favorite things: Coffee and Cats! I couldn't resist pulling out one of my favorite images of Newton hugging his coffee mug from our Newton Loves Coffee Stamp Set. I colored the image using watercolor markers, making the kitty orange and the mug minty green. If you don't know, our company was named after our orange kitty, Newton. Although we lost Newton in 2019, we still love to color orange kitties, just like him, and think of him often! I cut the image out using the coordinating Newton Loves Coffee Die Set. 

For the card base I started by cutting a dark brown scallop edged frame using our Frames & Flags Die Set. Then I layered three fun coffee themed papers from our Coffee House Stories Paper Pad inside the frame. This paper pad is one of my favorites too! There are so many fun coffee themed patterns in it, some with kitties too! For the sentiment I used "Have a BREW-tiful day!" from our Time for Coffee Stamp Set. I embossed it in white onto a banner that was die cut using our Banner Trio Die Set. I also stamped and colored the small polka dotted mug from the Time for Coffee Stamp Set and cut it out using the coordinating Time for Coffee Die Set. I added the Newton image and the coffee mug onto a vellum circle that was cut out using our Circle Frames Die Set. I like to add a bit of vellum between patterned paper and an image since it helps the image pop off a bit! 

Isn't this card a perfect way to send a hello to a coffee lover?  You could add a birthday message inside or simply use it for a friendly hello!

2022 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Here's what I created:

To start out, I chose a few printed papers from our Coffee House Stories Paper Pad that features cat and coffee themes (two of our favorites). I cut out a postage edged panel using our Framework Die Set from dark brown cardstock and then added the three strips of the patterned paper inside the frame. 

Next, I stamped the image of the big mug with the kitty peeking out of it from our Newton's Mug Stamp Set. This set has a bunch of different phrases that will fit on the coffee mug front but this time I left the front blank and colored it watercolored the mug purple and the kitty a brownish gray. I stamped the duo of heart mugs from our Love Café Stamp Set and colored them in coordinating colors. When coloring the images I tried to match the colors to the papers I had chosen! Then I cut out the images using the coordinating Newton's Mug Die Set and Love Café Die Set. 

I arranged the mugs over my pattern filled card base, then decided I needed a circle of vellum to help soften the busy prints so I layered a circle cut out using our Circle Frames Die Set between the printed papers and the stamped images. The finishing touch is the sentiment from the Love Café Stamp Set. I stamped the sentiment onto kraft colored paper and then cut it out into a banner using the banner from the Bookmark Die Set. 

I just love how this all came together! It was so much fun to mix and match our coffee themed designs together!

Coffee + Tulips = a Perfect Spring Combination!

Today we are sharing a fun spring coffee themed card by design team member, Samantha Mann that features a big cup full of tulips! She used some creative masking to combine images from our Newton's Mug Stamp Set and our Tulips Stamp Set.

She stamped the big mug from the Newton's Mug Stamp Set and added a bit of shading along the edges to give it fun dimension. She fussy cut the image out by hand right up to the edges. Then she stamped and colored two tulip bunches using the Tulips Stamp Set. She colored the blooms in gorgeous pink tones and added little highlights with a white gel pen. She also carefully fussy cut these images out by hand so they didn't have any white edges and then placed them clustered inside the mug! So gorgeous and perfect for spring!

Here is a close-up. Didn't she do an incredible job cutting those blooms out!?

For the lovely card base she used a piece of kraft cardstock and created a textured woodgrain background using our Tree Rings Stencil with white texture paste. So pretty! The finishing touch is the sentiment "A cup of thanks" from the Newton's Mug Stamp Set. She masked it to make the words fit vertically onto the pink 3D banner that was cut out using the Banner Trio Die Set.

This kitty themed coffee card uses using the kitty hugging the travel mug from our Newton Loves Coffee Stamp Set. I colored the kitty using watercolor markers and cut the image out using the coordinating Newton Loves Coffee Die Set.

This card also features a SNEAK PEEK from our new Coffee House stories Paper Pad! This new paper pad will be part of our upcoming November release. It is filled with fun coffee and kitty themes so we know it's going to be a favorite! We will be sharing full product reveals right here on the NND blog starting on Monday, November 15 so make sure to check back then to see more! The new products will be for sale next Thursday, November 18th. Don't you just love the cute kitty face mug and paw print patterns I used on this card today? 

For the sentiment I used "coffee is always a good idea" from the Newton Loves Coffee Stamp Set, embossed in white on a light purple banner that was cut out using our Frames & Flags Die Set. I layered this over a scalloped circle that was die cut from vellum paper using our Circle Frames Die Set and layered it over the fun background papers. I also used our Frames & Flags Die Set to cut the light green border panel with the scalloped edge.

A Big Cup of Thanks!

To celebrate National Coffee Day, we are sharing a fun coffee themed card today created by design team member, Samantha VanArnhem! This adorable card features our Newton's Mug Stamp Set. She colored the image of the kitty in the BIG coffee mug in fun shades of lime green and cut the image out using the coordinating Newton's Mug Die Set. So cute!

Then, for the card background, she created a simple inked panel, leaving a white border on each side. She added a coffee mug circle onto her inked area, perfect for creating a spot for the sentiment! For the sentiment, she used "A BIG cup of thanks" from the Newton's Mug Stamp Set. The set has a nice variety of sentiments, which will all also fit on the front of the coffee mug too!
