Sending Love 

Today we have a card by Tatiana that is perfect for Valentine's Day! This card features images from our adorable Love Owl-ways Stamp Set. To create the image of the owl with all the valentine goodies she combined several images. She started with the owl holding the balloon form the Love Owl-ways Stamp Set. Next, she added just the box of candy from the owl holding the candy from the same set, so that the one owl could hold both items! Then, to add more accessories she added the letters and bouquet of flowers from our Sending Hugs Stamp Set! This owl is truly laden down with love! She colored all the images with copic markers and cut them out using the coordinating Love Owl-ways Die Set and Sending Hugs Die Set. The tiny hearts in the sky are also from our Love Owl-ways Stamp Set. 

For the card base she created a sky filled with clouds using our Cloudy Sky Stencil with a crackle texture paste. Then she layered this over a white panel with a postage edge that was cut out using our Framework Die Set. The last piece was the custom sentiment, created by combing the word "sending" from the Sending Hugs Stamp Set with the die cut "love" cut out with our Darling Hearts Die Set.

Newton's Sweetheart Slimline Cards by June Guest Designer Amy Tollner

Hi everyone! Slimline cards are all the rage right now and I, along with many other people, just love them! My favorite thing to use with them are the dies that make little windows. I love using many stamps from one stamp set and then stamping cute sentiments in the windows. Well, you can make your own windows on a slimline card using the large heart die from the Darling Hearts Die Set! I used the images and sentiments from Newton’s Sweetheart Stamp Set along with the matching die set to create both cards. These are great cards for Valentine’s Day (I know we have a way to go on that one), Anniversaries, or just to say, “I love you!”



I first made my heart backgrounds with the Bokeh Hearts Stencil Set. Since the card is longer than the stencil I used both layers on the top of the card and then carefully lined up the stencil underneath the design to continue the pattern.

I used Distress Oxide Inks, Spun Sugar for Layer 1 and Worn Lipstick for Layer 2.

Next, I die cut my heart windows. I started with the middle heart because I felt it made it easier to get a more equal distance between the windows.

The great thing is, now you also have stitched hearts you can save for another project! I attached the die cut heart panel to my stenciled heart panel using foam tape for some dimension. I stamped the cute sentiments in the heart windows, which I switched up a little between the two cards, and colored my stamped images with Copic markers. I used the same colors on both cards, but changed them around a little too! For the second card I cut the die cut heart panel about ¼ inch thinner so that more of the stenciled heart panel was able to be seen on the sides. I wasn’t planning on making the second card, but I really wanted some more glitter than I had on the first one so I couldn’t help myself!

I finished off each card by adding a few pink and red jewels in the heart windows next to the sentiments, using a glitter pen on the little hearts, glossy accents on the glass of milk, and giving the kitties glitter and glossy collars! Sending Suggles Card by Ellen Haxelmans

Sending Snuggles!

Hello and Happy Friday! Today we are sharing a sweet bird themed card by Ellen that is sure to brighten up your day! She features the sweet duo of love birds shaped in a heart from our retiring Darling Duo Stamp Set. She  colors the birds in reds and purples using copic markers. She added some dot clusters too to give the image texture. The birds were then cut out using our Darling Hearts Die Set, which fits right around the image.

For her background she used our Frames Squared Die Set to cut a square with a scalloped edge and then added layers of clouds over it using our Clouds Stencil.

To finish the card she assembles it together and adds the "sending snuggles" sentiment underneath the bird duo on a green banner. A purple polka dot ribbon adds a pretty finishing touch!

Heartfelt Wishes Card by Samantha Mann

Heartfelt Wishes!

Today we have a gorgeous card by Samantha that is filled with love! For her card today she is featuring the sweet duo of love birds from our retiring Darling Duos Stamp Set. She has coloring them in stunning bright colors and carefully fussy cut around the image by hand. She layered this sweet image over a vellum heart that was cut out using our Darling Hearts Die Set. Underneath the image she added the custom sentiment "heartfelt wishes" using words from the retiring Simply Sentimental Stamp Set, embossed in white. She cut around the sentiment by hand and added it to her card. She also added a gorgeous tropical background using our Tropical Leaves Stencil with distress inks.

Sothy Valentine's Day Shaker Card by Samantha Mann

Have a Sloth-some Valentine's Day!

Here is a fun take on a Valentine's Day card by Samantha! She has created a fun shaker card featuring the cute hanging sloth from our In Slow Motion Stamp Set. She colored the sloth and hand cut out the image. Then she nestled him inside a heart shaker shape that she cut out using our Darling Hearts Die Set. She shaker is filled with fun purple and white sequins and beads that go perfectly with the purple background. To create that fun Tropical background she used our Tropical Leaves Stencil in shades of purple! So lovely! To create that custom sentiment used creative masking and  combined the "have a sloth-some" phrase from the In Slow Motion Stamp Set with the "Happy Valentine's Day" phrase from the Love Bites Stamp Set. What a fun way to create your own sentiment!

Here for You Card by Samantha Mann

Here for You Butterfly Card

Today we are sharing this lovely butterfly card by Samantha! She created those lovely butterflies using images from our Beautiful Wings Stamp Set and stamping them onto vellum with distress oxide inks. Then she embossed over them using clear embossing powder. Don't they look so delicate and pretty? For her card base she cut out a heart using our Darling Hearts Die Set and used it as a stencil to ink inside. Then she added lots of fun splatters using distress inks and water. She finished it off with the "I'm here for you" sentiment from the Newton's Support Stamp Set, embossed in white on a little black banner and some black and white washi tape.

This card would be perfect for sending to someone who needs a little support to let them know you care!

Maria stamped the big image of dogs a little lower, cropping off the bottom, so she could leave room for the fun sentiment at the top of her layout! Such a fun idea! Her coloring on the dogs is so gorgeous! She also used our Frames & Flags Die Set to create the banner and scallop edged frame.

Holly created this cute and playful card! It's so cute how she kept the base image black and white and then spotlighted a section of the image by coloring it in on a banner! She used our Frames & Flags Die Set to create the banners and scallop edged panel.

Juliana used fun bright watercolors on the crowd of canine friends for this delightful card! Those pups look ready to send a fun greeting to your favorite dog-lover! She also used our Frames & Flags Die Set to create the banner and scallop edged frame.

This cheerful card was created by Samantha. She fussy cut out the left section of the big image to create a  pile of fun doggie pals up the side of her card! She colored them with fun bright colors and cute pink cheeks. Then she layered them over the fun paw print background created using our Pawprints Stencil. So cute!

Naki created this sweet card featuring the dogs colored in gorgeous soft colors! It's so clever how she cut out a heart window for the dogs to peek through to the front of the card! She used our Darling Hearts Die Set for the heart cut outs. 

This fabulous shaker card was created by Larissa! She used the big image of the dogs for the background and then stamped it a second time, coloring and fussy cutting out just the bottom row of dogs to pop up in front of the shaker window! She also used our Frames & Flags Die Set for the scallop edged black panel! 

Ellen stamped and embossed the big dog crowd with black embossing powder on black card stock for that fun background. Then she stamped it again to spotlight a few of the dogs inside the heart and colored them in fun bright colors! She layered the Sentiment over the top on a vellum banner that was cut out using our Frames & Flags Die Set.

Tatiana colored the big image of dogs using bright zig watercolor markers for this delightful card! What fun vibrant colors! She also created a frame for the image and a set of little banners in the corner using the Frames & Flags Die Set. 

Amanda used a spotlighting technique to feature a circle of colored dogs layered over the black and white image! Doesn't this look so cool!? She added fun pops of blue and pink. That pink poodle is just so cute!

Jennifer cut out three small circles of dogs from the big image to use on her fun card! What a great idea to stretch the set to do more! She added then sentiment onto the rounded stitched rectangle from our Frames & Flags Die Set and also added some fun paw prints on the card base using our Pawprints Stencil.

Ellen created this fancy Shaker card using the sweet kitty image as the background for the shaker. She colored those kitties in fun bright neutral tones and gave their collars and ribbons bright pops of color! She used our Frames and Flags Die Set to create the bright yellow scalloped frame. 

Holly created this amazing monochromatic card using shades of gray and black! She added on a bit of silver on the kitty collars too! So stunning! She also used our Frames and Flags Die Set for the scalloped frame and banner. 

Larissa created this sweet card by cutting a heart out of the big image and focusing her coloring on one cute kitty couple in the center. She also stamped the image again for the background onto kraft cardstock! She added the "Here's to you" sentiment from our Cocktail Mixer Stamp Set and used our Frames and Flags Die Set for the borders! This would make a great Anniversary card! 

Naki put some amazing details into her coloring all those kitties. She even added stripes and patches to some of them! And those pink rosy cheeks!! Then she fussy cut the image out to layer it over her blue background panel! Such a work of art! 

Tatiana kept the coloring on her cats simple for this fun shaker card, making most of them tones of grey. Then she accented one kitty with bright orange and teal! What a fun idea and it goes perfectly with the sentiment! She also used our Frames & Flags Die Set to create the frame and banner! 

This card by Maria is so gorgeous! She created a colorful crowd of cats using lovely neutrals with pops of teal and pink! The grey two toned cats are so cute! She also used our Frames & Flags Die Set to create the frame and banner!

Amanda used colored pencils and tons of lovely neutral tones to color the kitties stamped on Kraft colored paper! She also used our Pawprint Stencil to make that fun background! This card is definitely Purr-fect for a cat lover! 

Samantha colored and cut out just the top half of the crowd of kitties for her card today. She used such fun bright colors on those adorable felines and fussy cut them out to add to her card! That distress inked bottom half of the card is so pretty too!

If you aren't up for coloring all those kitties, Juliana shares how to make a quick and colorful card by just coloring around the outside with pale blue and then coloring all the kitties collars and ties with bright colors!
