Creating Kids toys using NND Stamps!

Today we are sharing an adorable project created by Ellen! She created a set of adorable little games by taking a kids game and upgrading it so a special toy using NND images! She used the seagulls from our Gull Friends Stamp Set, the flip flops from our Flip Flop Life Stamp Set, and the shrimp from our Shrimp Cocktails Stamp Set. She also added in backgrounds using our Waves Stencil, Tumbling Hearts Stencil and Cascading Stars Stencil! How adorable! Read on for instructions on how she created this fun play set!

Below we have instruction from Ellen on how to create a fun set of play items like this!

Creating your backgrounds:

• Photo 1 (left): Cut out a circle that fit the toy and stamp a summer looking image on top of it. I used the Gull Friends Stamp Set, Cocktails Stamp Set and the Flip Flop Life Stamp Set.
• Photo 2 (center): Stamp the illustrations again on masking tape. Afterwards you cut them out and place them on the circles.
• Photo 3 (right): Give the circles some color. I used Distress ink and stencils (Waves Stencil, Tumbling Hearts Stencil and Cascading Stars Stencil) on them.

Assembling the toys:

• Photo 1 (left): Use your Crocodile Punch to put wholes in the paper. When the toy is completed, the wholes are the “goals” for the balls. I also colored the illustrations with Copic Markers as you can see on the picture.
• Photo 2 (center): Open the toy you bought. I bought some cheap plastic one that are easy to open. I also cleaned them a little bit.
• Photo 3 (right): Take out the paper piece and replace them with your little piece of art. I used a strong tape runner to stick it to the bottom of the toy.

What a fun and unique way to repurpose a toy and give it a specialized look!

This summer watermelon card by Zsofia is so sweet! She used the image of the kitty and melon from our new Newton's Melon Stamp Set and added it to a cute tag that was cut out using our  Fancy Edges Tag Die Set. She also used our Framework Die Set for the postage edged layer.  Don't you just love the fun bright color combo!?

Andrea created this gorgeous lemon card using the lemons from our Lemon Twist Stamp Set! She colored them with gorgeous no line coloring and layered them over a scalloped panel that was cut out using our Framework Die Set. The amazing plaid background was created using our  Plaid Stencil Set. So gorgeous!

Samantha created a charming flock of seagulls on this fun summer card using our new Gull Friends Stamp Set. She layered waves around them that were created using our Waves Stencil. What a fabulous water scene!

Larissa created this adorable treat bag featuring the shrimp holding cocktails from our Shrimp Cocktails Stamp Set. She layered the cute shrimp onto a shape cut out using our Frames Squared Die Set. What an adorable way to dress up a small treat or gift. This would be perfect for a summer party!

Newton is enjoying some watermelon on this sweet summer card by Amanda! She used the image of the kitty and melon from our new Newton's Melon Stamp Set, adding adorable stripes tot he coloring on the kitty! Then she layered the kitty over a fun argyle background that was created using our Argyle Stencil Set. She also used our Framework Die Set for the scallop and Postage edged layers. 

Holly created this fun and bright summer card using the images of lemons from our  Lemon Twist Stamp Set! She did some fun loose watercoloring on the images and layered them over a fun cloudy background that was created using our new Clouds Stencil (revealed here on Monday's post). The bright yellow dots in the background were created using our  Bokeh Stencil Set. 

Ellen created this charming square card featuring the little shrimp holding cocktails from our Shrimp Cocktails Stamp Set. She layered them over a fun distress inked background and added on the "cheers" die cut from our  Cocktail Mixer Die Set. The square layers of the card were created using dies from our Frames Squared Die Set.

Hey, Gull Friend! This beautiful sea scene was created by Maria featuring the duo of seagulls from our new Gull Friends Stamp Set. She created a sunny sky for them using our Sunscape Stencil to complete this cheerful scene

Tatiana created this stunning lemon card! She used the images from our new L Lemon Twist Stamp Set and overlapped them to create this amazing card. She colored the images in gorgeous bright colors with colored pencils. The images were so pretty she kept the rest of the card simple, adding sentiments on top and bottom with black ink. 

Newton is so cute enjoying a slice of watermelon on this card by Naki! She created this fun summer card featuring the image of the kitty from our Newton's Melon Stamp Set. Then she used our Sunscape Stencil behind the image. Isn't it fun how all the sun rays direct your eye right to that cute kitty!?
