Spooky Coffees Card by Donna Idlet

Sugar & Scream!!!

Today we are serving a little Halloween humor with our coffee on this fun card by Donna! Her card features our NEW Spooky Coffees Stamp Set and Card Layout 5 Die Set along with some of our favorite halloween themed papers!

Donna began by stamping and coloring all the cute little shaped Halloween mugs from our Spooky Coffees Stamp Set. She cut all the images out using the coordinating Spooky Coffees Die Set. She also stamped and embossed the "sugar & scream" sentiment onto a black circle that she had cut out using our Frames Squared Die Set.

Next she created the card background using our Card Layout 5 Die Set. She used the die multiple times to cut out her favorite prints from our Halloween Meows Paper Pad. She also cut out the layout using the purple glitter paper from our Cheerful Brights Glitter Cardstock. Using the glittery piece for the frame, she adhered all the patterned pieces inside the frame and then layered  the black circle with the sentiment into the center. Then she added all of the mugs on top, placing them in a circle around the sentiment!

Happy Halloween Card by Larissa Heskett

Happy Halloween!

Are you ready for Halloween crafting? Today we are sharing a fun Halloween card by Larissa featuring our Spooky Stories Stamp Set that is sure to put you in the mood for Halloween fun!

For this spooky card she stamped the tall image the image of ghosts from our Spooky Stories Stamp Set. This image is designed to fit on our bookmark dies but it works perfectly on a card too! She also stamped a few little bats using the same stamp set to add to her card.

Next she cut out ovals using our Oval Frames Die Set to layer behind the ghosts. She used black cardstock for the stitched oval and a piece of patterend paper for the scalloped oval. For the background she cut out two more patterend papers, chosing orange and gray papers with bats on them. The patterned papers are from our Halloween Meows and Halloween Woofs Paper Pads. 

For the Happy Halloween message she used a stamp from our Halloween Apothecary Stamp Set, layering it over the big oval. 

We love the fun mix of patterns on this Halloween card! What a great way to send a spooky greeting!

Matching Patterned Papers + Stamps! Halloween Cards and Video with Jennifer Jackson

Matching Papers + Stamps!

Hello! Jen here today with a bunch of  Halloween cards that I created using our new Halloween Meows Paper Pad and Halloween Woofs Paper Pad. Did you know that each of these paper pads has patterns in them that coordinate with our stamp sets? That's what I'm going to show you today and there's a video at the end of this post too! 

For my first card today (shown above), I used the stamped image of the Frankenstein kitty from our Franken-Newton Stamp Set with a patterned paper that also features the Frankenstein kitties from our new Halloween Meows Paper Pad! Isn't that fun!? Then I paired it with the diagonal striped paper, also from the Halloween Meows Paper Pad to create a fun two panel patterned background. I cut the black postage edge rectangle using our Framework Die Set and then trimmed the two paper panels to fit inside. The top paper is 3 1/2" wide by 3" tall and the bottom paper is 3 1/2" wide by 1 1/2" tall. 

I also added two circles to hold the sentiment, die cutting them using our Circle Frames Die Set. I cut the kitty image out using the coordinating Franken-Newton Die Set and layered it over the circles and the paper with a bit of dimensional tape. That's it! A fun card that coordinates perfectly! 

I repeated the same card again, this time using the other Frankenstein kitty and his bride from the Franken-Newton Stamp Set:

Isn't it fun how the stamped images match up with the paper patterns?

I created a couple more cards using the same card layout but different stamps and paper patterns. This card duo uses the Newton's Costume Party Stamp Set along with the matching paper from the Halloween Meows Paper Pad:

This time I switched up the colors a bit and used different patterns on the bottoms but it's otherwise exactly the same! The sentiment is also from the Newton's Costume Party Stamp Set and I used the Newton's Costume Party Die Set to cut them out. 

Then I created a third set of cards, this time using the Dress-Up Doxies Stamp Set along with the Halloween Woofs Paper Pad:

Again, I used the same layout, just switched up the colors and paper patterns. The sentiment on this one is from the Happy Howl-oween Stamp Set (which also has a matching paper print in this paper pad), and I cut the images out using the coordinating Dress-Up Doxies Die Set.

Isn't it fun how you can use the mix and match our paper pads and stamp images for quick and easy cards!? There are so many more combos you could create! I hope you'll give this a try!

Trick or Treat Card by Tina Herbeck

Trick or Treat!

Today we are ready to trick or treat with this Halloween treat filled card by Tina! 

For this fun creation, Tina combined several of our favorite Halloween themed products!  She started out by stamping and coloring the kitty from our Trick or Treat Kittens Stamp Set. The way she colored the fur pattern with different colored spots is so cute! She cut this image out using the coordinating Trick or Treat Kittens Die Set. 

Next, she used the big oval image from our Spiderweb Oval Stamp Set, stamping the spiderwebs in black and then ink-blending the inside of the circle in shades of gray and purple. So spooky! She added the sentiment "Trick or treat" into the center of the image, also from the Spiderweb Oval Stamp Set. She cut the image out to give it that fun scalloped edge using our Oval Frames Die Set. She also added a few sparkly purple gem accents!

For the card base she used the patterned papers from our Halloween Meows Paper Pad and Halloween Woofs Paper Pad, choosing a candy filled pattern and a purple striped pattern. Perfect choices to coordinate with the stamped images!

Happy Halloween Card by Maria Russell

Happy Halloween!

Today Maria has created a fun Halloween greeting that combines several of our newest Halloween products! 

The star of this card is the adorable Frankenstein kitty from our new Franken-Newton Stamp Set. She colored the kitty in bright greens and purples for a fun Halloween look! The image was cut out using the coordinating Franken-Newton Die Set. 

She created a frame using the big spiderweb image from our new  Spiderweb Oval Stamp Set. She embossed the web in white onto black cardstock and cut it out with our Oval Frames Die Set to give it a scalloped edge. She also cut inside along the inside edges of the spiderweb using a scissor to make it into a frame! This spiderweb frame is the perfect spot for the Frankenstein kitty! 

For her card base, she used the fun jack-o'-lantern patterned paper from our Halloween Meows Paper Pad, cutting it out with the scallop edged frame from our Frames & Flags Die Set. For finishing touches she added two orange bows, cut out using the bow from our Baby Bib Die Set and added gems to their centers. She also added the sentiment "Happy Halloween" from the Franken-Newton Stamp Set, embossed in white onto a black strip of paper and layered over the spiderweb frame.

Halloween Inspiration Week - Day 5 - Tatiana & Larissa

This week Newton's Nook Designs is getting ready for Halloween with a fun Inspiration week! 

All week the NND Design Team will be sharing inspiration using some of their favorite Halloween products to get you in the mood for tricks and treats! Today we are featuring cute and spooky projects by Tatiana Trafimovich and Larissa Heskett

Tatiana created a spooky tag and added it to a card for a fabulous Halloween greeting!

To create the fun and spooky tag, she cut out a tag using our Fancy Edges Tag Die Set and inked it in bright colors to make a starry scene, adding some paint and water splatters. She also die cut out out a circle using our  Circle Frames Die Set and inked it in bright yellow to look like a moon! Next tot he moon she added a flamingo skeleton and some little pumpkin silhouettes from our Spooky Skeletons Stamp Set. A black strip holds the Happy Halloween Sentiment from our Spooky Roundabout Stamp Set.

She added the tag to her card, layering it over an orange striped pattern from our Springtime Paper Pad. 

What a fun and colorful way to celebrate Halloween!

 Larissa created a fun bat themed Halloween card.

For this card she stamped and colored the image of Newton dressed in a bat costume from our Batty Newton Stamp Set. She cut the image out using the coordinating Batty Newton Die Set and mounted it onto an oval that was cut out using our Oval Frames Die Set. She added some bats from the Batty Newton Stamp Set and the word "eek" from our Spiderweb Oval Stamp Set. She framed it with another oval using our Oval Frames Die Set with some purple paper to match the purple bat wings! So cute. 

On the card base she added the bat filled patterned paper from our Halloween Meows Paper Pad.

What a fun way to send a spooky, yet sweet, Halloween greeting!

Halloween Inspiration Week - Day 4 - Donna & Ellen

This week Newton's Nook Designs is getting ready for Halloween with a fun Inspiration week! 

All week the NND Design Team has been  sharing inspiration using some of their favorite Halloween products to get you in the mood for tricks and treats! Today we are featuring cute and spooky projects by Donna Idlet & Ellen Haxelmans.

Donna created this card featuring an adorable duo of trick or treating kittens:

For this card she colored the two sweet kitties from our Trick or Treat Kittens Stamp Set, coloring them in fun bright colors. Isn't that blue treat bag adorable? She also added fun glittery accents to the coloring and cut the "trick or treat" sentiment from our Halloween Trio Die Set out of black glitter paper to match.

The kittens and their candy were cut out with the coordinating Trick or Treat Kittens Die Set and layered onto an orange scalloped circle that was cut out using Circle Frames Die Set. 

For the card base she added candy corn patterned paper using our Halloween Meows Paper Pad. This pretty pattern works perfectly with the trick or treat theme! So adorable!

Ellen created a set of adorable treat boxes, perfect for holding halloween candy!

For the first treat box she cut out a spider print using our Halloween Meows Paper Pad to add to a little black paper treat box. She added a scalloped edge using our  Sky Borders Die Set and then embellished the box with bats and the cute little vampire from our Count Newton Stamp Set. 

The second box was decorated in the same way, using a ghostly pattern from our Halloween Woofs Paper Pad  with a cut scalloped edge using our Sky Borders Die Set. She added the bats again from our Count Newton Stamp Set and this time featured the kitty on the broom from our Newton's Boo-tiful Night Stamp Set,. The tag features a sentiment and spider from our Spiderweb Oval Stamp Set on a tag cut out using our Tags Times Two Die Set. 

For the third treat box she used a bat paper from our Halloween Woofs Paper Pad. Again she added a scalloped edge with our Sky Borders Die Set and more more bats from the Count Newton Stamp Set. This design features the Bride of Frankenstein from the Franken-Newton Stamp Set. 

What a fun way to us patterned paper and stamps to dress up some Halloween treats!

Happy Halloween Card by Zsofia Molnar

From our Web to Yours! 

Today we sharing a spooky fun Halloween card by Zsofia! 

She filled this fun card with spiderwebs, starting with the big spiderweb frame from our Spiderweb Oval Stamp Set. She stamped the big oval image and cut it it out using the Oval Frames Die Set. She inked over the web using purple distress inks to give it that pretty purple glow. She added the phrases "Happy Hallooween" and "from our web to yours" from the Spiderweb Oval Stamp Set inside the frame and a few of the little spiders too. She added some gloss to the letters in the word "happy" and to the spiders for a special finishing touch. 

Here's a close-up so you can see how spooky that looks!

For the card base she added a panel of pattered paper from our Halloween Meows Paper Pad to fill the whole card front. She chose the paper filled with spiderwebs to coordinating perfectly with the image! 

What a fun way to say Happy Halloween!

August Reveal Day 1 - Franken-Newton Stamp Set, Halloween Meows & Woofs Paper Pads and Jack-o'-lantern Stencil Set

Jack-o'lantern Stencil Set

This three layered stencil design makes creating jack-o'-lantern patterns easy. Layer one includes the pumpkin shapes, layer two includes the pumpkin stems and layer three is filled with fun jack-o'-lantern faces. All three stencils include etching of the opposite layers so they are easy to line up. Try using layers one and two without the spooky faces layers to extend this design for fall cards. You can also use the spooky faces on their own for another fun halloween background pattern. This stencil is filled with possibilities for fall fun!
