Neon Dragon!

Neon strikes again!

When I think of dragons and magic, neon is not the first thing that usually comes to mind but for some reason I thought it would be fun to color this dragon from the Magical Dreams stamp set with my neon colored pencils - and I LOVE how it turned out! This card is so much fun! 

I actually had some neon colored washi tape too (imagine that - I think I'm a washi tape addict now). I used the washi tape to make those cute little pennants. I just wrapped it over a piece of twine and clipped it into triangles with a scissors! Cool, huh?

Neon Baby Card!

Here's a card that will brighten your Friday! 

I used the stamp set Winged Wishes to create this super cute baby card! I stamped the clothesline and birds on white card stock and colored them in with neon colored pencils. Then I attempted to create some neon twine by pulling white bakers twine over a neon pink ink pad. It worked pretty well but I admit I didn't have enough patience to wait for it to dry so I got some pink ink on my fingers and on the card when I tied it on... but buttons and washi tape covered it up and now you can't even tell!

Hello Neon Kitties!

Woo Hoo! It's Saturday and since I'm super excited for the weekend I thought I'd share this crazy bright neon card today! I am usually more of a "traditional" gal when it comes to colors... you know, cat's should be browns, oranges etc like in real life... but lately I've been expanding out of my comfort zone a bit and came up with this. I think it was because I had those neon ink pads staring at me on my desk and begging me to play!  I stamped the kitty from Newton's Antics three times using a mask so I could overlap him a bit. Then I used the hello there words from the Winged Wishes set above them. 

I wasn't sure about the neon kitties at first but now that it's done I really love this card! I finished it off with some washi tape and a button and framed it with some neon orange card stock too.

What do you think? Do you like to color things the colors that they are "supposed" to be or do you like to go crazy with color? 

Neon Newton!

Ok - now I'm ready to show you what I made. If you follow me at all on instagram you might remember this image of some neon colored pencils I posted awhile back. These are  called Koh-I-Noor Astra Neon FX. I found them at a local craft shop but I think dick blick has them online too. 

Now I can show you the cutest card I made with them! A little white kitty with neon pink ears! For this  ard I used our stamp set Newton's Antics which you can now purchase in our online shop here! 

I stamped the kitty on white paper with black and colored his little ears with the neon pink pencil. Then I added some neon green grass around him.  I stamped the sentiment "loves mew"  - which is normally straight but I curved it on the stamp block so that it curved around his butt!  That is another cool thing you can do with photopolymer stamps, just bend them the way you like.. .and after you're done they bend right back! 

I added some little hearts above his head and colored them in with the other neon pencils - yellow pink and orange. I also stuck on a few cute little colored sequins I had that matched pretty closely as well. 

Isn't it so sweet? I really love how this one turned out. It looks so much more vibrant in person - it's hard to capture the neon on camera.
