A Happy Halloween Kitty Card!

Today we are sharing this purr-fect Halloween card by Donna!

Hello Crafty Friends!
It’s Donna Idlet here sharing this cute Halloween card.  I had so much fun creating it using the adorable kitty from the NEW Cat Builder Die Set dressing him up for Halloween! I love how all the little details came together to create this fun and festive spooky scene.

I used the Cat Builder Die Set to create the cat.  I added a witch hat from the Halloween Postage Sampler Stamp Set.  I added the sparkly pink collar and tag using the Cheerful Bright Glitter Cardstock.  

To give the kitty even more personality, I added a piece of candy corn from the Candy Corn Newton Stamp Set, he cannot wait to eat it!

I created the spooky sky using the Clouds Stencil. Then I added the moon and stars from the Spooky Sky Die Set. The black fence was created using the Fence Die Set, which helped ground the scene and gives the kitty a fun place to sit.

To finish the scene, I added pumpkins from the Fall Friends Die Set and some flying bats from the Halloween Postage Sampler. The “Happy Halloween” sentiment also comes from the Halloween Postage Sampler.

One of my favorite parts of this card is all the dimension! I used foam tape to pop up the cat, giving it a fun 3D effect and making it really stand out from the background. I took the second photo from an angle so you can see just how much dimension the card has.

I love how this little Halloween kitty turned out. Between the bright batty background, spooky moonlit sky, pumpkins, bats, and that adorable witchy cat, this card is full of Halloween fun!

Haunted House Card by Diane Morales

Spooky Greetings!

With October just one day away we are getting into Halloween crafting! Today we are sharing a card by Diane that is perfect for sending spooky Halloween greetings! 

This features our Card Layout 5 Die Set, Haunted House Die Set and our Halloween Time Paper Pad.

Diane created this fun card using the bat filled paper from our Halloween Time Paper Pad for the background. She cut the paper out using our Card Layout 5 Die Set. She then used the same die set with black cardstock to create the frame. She glued all of the patterned pieces into the frame and layered it over a black cardstock base. 

Next she used our Haunted House Die Set, cutting the house from black cardstock. She added some light yellow cardstock behind it to give the windows and eerie glow. 

She layered the haunted house over a scallop edged oval that was cut out using our Oval Frame Die Set. Then she added the image to the center of her fun bat background. For a finishing touch she stamped the spooky greetings postmark from our Halloween Postage Sampler Stamp Set and cut it out with the coordinating Halloween Postage Sampler Die Set. She tucked the image in next to the haunted house. The orange gives the card such a fun pop of color! 

This spooky card is perfect for sending a ghostly hello this Halloween!

Trick or Treat Newton Card by Amanda Wilcox

Trick or Treat! 

Halloween is just around the corner and we are enjoying making Halloween cards! Today we are sharing an adorable trick or treat themed card by Amanda!

This autumnal card features the adorable little kitty dressed in a Halloween pumpkin costume from our Trick or Treat Newton Stamp Set. The cute little image was cut out using the coordinating Trick or Treat Newton Die Set.

Next, she sets the scene for Halloween by adding a line of gravestones using our Spooky Line Stencil. This spooky stencil perfectly sets the scene for Halloween! 

What's Halloween without the candy? To add in the fun sweet treats she used patterned papers from our Halloween Woofs Paper Pad. These fun patterns add the perfect touch of whimsy for a Halloween greeting that is too cute to spook!

Ghostly Greetings Card by Donna Idlet

Ghostly Greetings!

Don't be scared! This ghostly Halloween card by Donna is too cute to be spook! 

This card features the cute dog and cat ghosts from our Ghostly Good Times Stamp Set. Donna stamped and embossed the images onto vellum to give them a fun transparency. What a perfect way to add a ghostly effect to the card.  The images were cut out using the coordinating Ghostly Good Times Die Set. 

Behind the ghosts is a spooky scene from one of the pages in our Halloween Time Paper Pad. She cut the paper to fit just inside the zig zag frame from our Frames & Tags Die Set. The finishing touch is the sentiment "Ghostly Greetings" from our Spooky Sentiments Hot Foil Plates. She added hot foil to the sentiment and then cut it out using our Banner Duo Die Set.

Cheers, Witches!!

Today we are sharing a spooky cute Halloween card by Diane!

For this card she features the fun witch from our Brooms & Boos Stamp Set. This set features several witches with some fun, snarky sentiments. For her card Diane chose to feature the witch holding a martini glass, complete with an eyeball garnish! she colored the image in bright halloween colors and used the coordinating Brooms & Boos Die Set to cut the image out. She added it onto an oval that was cut out using our Oval Frames Die Set.  

Then, for her card base she paired the image with the eyeball filled paper from our Halloween Time Paper Pad! Isn't it fun how perfectly this paper goes with the image!? So awesome! She added a few stars to the corner and a couople or sparkly gems to finish the card.

Ghostly Good Times Shaker Card by Larissa Heskett

Ghostly Shaker Card!

Today we are shaking up halloween fun with a ghostly shaker card by Larissa! 

For this fun card she started out by cutting out the background scene using a piece of paper from our Halloween Time Paper Pad. She stamped the kitty image from the Ghostly Good Time Stamp Set to put behind the window. Using some foam tape and acetate she made the kitty into a shaker window, adding str and bat sequins inside. She then used our Ghostly Good Time Die Set to make a kitty ghost shaped window in the background panel. 

She framed the whole scene with a postage edged rectangle that was cut out using our Framework Die Set.

Happy Halloween Card by Donna Idlet

It's Cider Season!

Fall is nearly here and that means it's time for apple cider! Today Donna has created a card that captures the spice of the season!  

For this yummy card she started out by stamping the duo of dogs ready for trick-or-treating from our Happy Howl-oween Stamp Set. Aren't they so cute in their Halloween costumes? She colored the dogs in classic Halloween colors and then used the Happy Howl-oween Die Set to cut the image out. 

Next, she used our Spiderweb Hot Foil Plates to create a fun sparkly background. She started with a black cardstock rectangle, cut out using our Frames & Flags Die Set. She foiled the spiderweb in sparkly silver and the spiders in red! So spooky!

She also foiled the "Happy Halloween" in from our Spooky Sentiments Hot Foil Plates using black foil. She cut the message out using the rectangle banner from our Banner Duo Die Set

For her card base she chose a yellow cardstock and then layered a strip of spider patterened paper over the side, cut from our Halloween Time Paper Pad.

We love the the spooky feeling this card has!

Spook-tacular Halloween Card by Diane Morales

Spook-tacular Halloween Wishes!

Today we are sharing a spooky cute Halloween card by Diane!

For this card she features the cute stack of friends dressed in halloween costumes from our Halloween Pile Stamp Set. She colored the kitty and puppy using neutral colors with pops of orange for Halloween. She cut the image out using the coordinating Halloween Pile Die Set. 

For her card, she created a slimline layout using the tall skinny scallop edged rectangle die from our Slimline Frames & Portholes Die Set. She then used the spider patterned paper from our Halloween Time Paper Pad, cutting the paper in angled stripes to fit onto the slim card front. 

She added the cute pile of friends onto the card, framing the image with an oval (cut out using our Oval Frames Die Set). She added the sentiment from the Halloween Pile Stamp Set in the upper right corner, stamped onto a small white banner that was cut out using our Frames & Flags Die Set. 

The finishing touch is lots of little bats, also from the Halloween Pile Stamp Set. She embossed the bats using glittery embossing powder to give the card a bit of sparkle!
