Nutcracker Card by Jennifer Jackson

Hello! Jen here today with a fun nutcracker themed card! I created this fun holiday card featuring the mouse wearing a nutcracker outfit from our The Nutcracker Squeak Stamp Set. I colored the mouse using copic markers and then cut him out using the coordinating The Nutcracker Squeak Die Set. To add to the music theme, I created a background of music notes using our Music Stencil. The nutcracker was layered over this onto a strip of white cardstock. I also added the "joy to the world" sentiment, embossed with red embossing powder from our Ornamental Wishes Stamp Set. To add a bit of holiday sparkle, I cut out two scalloped borders from gold glittery paper using our Sky Borders Die Set. 

This card was is simple to make yet feels so fun and festive! It's putting me in the mood to listen to some Christmas music!

My name is Katie and I live in Northeast Ohio with my husband, our two lively, creative daughters, one dog, four cats and countless antique automobiles. By day, I work in the HR department of a large regional bank, and by night, I am a paper engineer, DIY enthusiast and all around crafty gal. I started scrapbooking in 2001 and decided to try my hand at stamping a few years later. Little did I know that stamping would take my crafty passion, enthusiasm, and stash of supplies to a whole new level! I love to try new things and try to do something creative every day

Here's what Katie created!

Katie created this fun Christmas mouse card with the nutcracker theme! She used those adorable mice from our Nutcracker Squeak Stamp Set, dressed as characters from the Nutcracker! The color palette she used is so gorgeous with red, navy and a pop of yellow! She added the mice onto her card along the bottom half and added the "Merry Christmas" sentiment along the top, die cut out using our Holiday Greetings Die Set. Such a fun and festive card!

Holiday Tags by Holly Endress

Deck out your gifts with Holiday Tags!  

Do you want to dress up your gifts this season? Today we are sharing two adorable gift tags by Holly. For the tag on the left, Holly used our Ornament Shaker Tag Die Set to cut out an ornament shape and added the "deck the halls" sentiment inside the ornament using our Ornamental Wishes Stamp Set. Then she added a cute little stocking using our Holiday Stockings Stamp Set. She colored the stocking and cut it out using the coordinating Stylish Stockings Die Set and added it to the ornament! So cute!



For the second tag she cut out a tag using foiled and glitter papers with our Fancy Edges Tag Die Set. Then she added those fun critters from ourAll Aboard for Christmas Stamp Set along the bottom of the tag. She colored them with copics and cut them out using our coordinating All Aboard for Christmas Die Set and then fussy cut the bottom edge to eliminate the white border. For the sentiment she used the "merry" die cut from our Holiday Greetings Die Set and combined it with the word "christmas" from our Nutcracker Squeak Stamp Set. What a fun way to mix and match products to create custom sentiments!

Newton's Nook Designs & Therm O Web Inspiration Week - Day 5 with Maria & Zsofia

This week Newton's Nook Designs and Therm O Web are partnering for a fabulous inspiration week! All week long both design teams will be sharing ways to add fun foils and more to your cards using Therm O Web products with Newton's Nook Designs stamps! There are prizes too! Read all the way to the end of this post to find out how you can win! 

Today we are featuring projects by Maria and Zsofia! 

First we have two gorgeous Fall Hedgehog cards by Maria: 

Maria created this adorable card featuring those sweet hedgehogs from our Hedgehog Hollow Stamp Set. She colored the hedgehogs, ladybugs and mushrooms with copic markers and then cut them out with the coordinating Hedgehog Hollow Die Set to add to her card. Behind the hedgehogs she created a gorgeous shaker window. She used the Deco Foil Designer Toner Sheets (Wilderness) from with Gold Deco Foil from Therm O Web to create the sparkly tree pattern. She used this for the front of the shaker and framed it with a die cut frame and filled it with sequins. She added a bow on top that was cut out using our Pines & Holly Die Set. She also added a layer of golden inked grass along the bottom using our Land Borders Die Set to complete the Fall scene! 

For her second card, Maria utilized the piece of foil that was leftover from using the the first card when she used the  Deco Foil Designer Toner Sheets (Wilderness) from Therm O Web! You can use these fun leftover pieces to get the most out of your foil! she covered her card in this piece, gluing it over a pale blue background. then she added that cute hedgehog along with some mushrooms from our Hedgehog Hollow Stamp Set across the center of the card. She used the coordinating Hedgehog Hollow Die Set again to cut them all out. She finished off the card with the "thankful" sentiment from our Thankful Thoughts Stamp Set. So lovely!

 For our last project this week we have three sparkly holiday cards by Zsofia:

For her first card, Zsofia created a lovely winter scene featuring our Winter Memories Stamp Set. She added the skating couple and tree images from the set, cutting them out with the coordinating Winter Memories Die Set. For the sparkly snowy background she used our Petite Snow Stencil along with Deco Foil Transfer Gel and Opal Deco Foil from Therm O Web. She added cut out the word "Christmas" using our Holiday Greetings Die Set with Deco Foil Peel N Stick Toner Sheets and added foil using Gina K Glittering Green Fancy Foil. She also used our Frames & Flags Die Set for the fun scallop edged border.

For her second card, Zsofia featured the cute little mice from our The Nutcracker Squeak Stamp Set, coloring them in lovely shades of purple, blue and mint. She cut them out using the coordinating The Nutcracker Squeak Die Set to add to her card. For the gorgeous snowy background she used our  Snowfall Stencil along with Deco Foil Transfer Gel and Iridescent Deco Foil from Therm O Web. This foil gives such a pretty look when it catches the light! 

For her third card Zsofia created this sweet holiday tree card! She used She used the Deco Foil Designer Toner Sheets (O Christmas Tree) from with Summer Rainbow Deco Foil from Therm O Web to create the sparkly tree pattern. She created a curvy cut on her card front top and bottom using our Land Borders Die Set. Then she added the die cut words on top and bottom using our our Holiday Greetings Die Set with Deco Foil Peel N Stick Toner Sheets and added foil using Gold Deco Foil. Such fun bright holiday colors!

Samantha created this lovely card featuring a trio of ballerinas on stage! She used the little mouse in a tutu from our new Nutcracker Squeak Stamp Set and stamped and colored her three times. For her background she created spotlights with masking and distress inks. The middle mouse even moves up and down on a slider! 

Maria created this sweet meowy christmas card using our new Caroling Newton Stamp Set. She colored trio of kitties, adding sparkle to their hats. She added a cute caroling mouse on each side too! The background was created using our new Music Stencil. 

This nutcracker themed card by Juliana is so lovely! She colored all the cute characters from the new Nutcracker Squeak Stamp Set and created a fun layout that includes them all! She even added in some candies from our Newton's Candy Cane Stamp Set. The light colored music in the background is from our new Music Stencil. 

The coloring on this card by Amanda is so lovely and vibrant! She added the trio of kitties from our new Caroling Newton Stamp Set, adding in the little caroling mouse on top of the head! So cute! Then, for her background she used our new Music Stencil! What a fun and unique Holiday Card! 

Naki created a sweet trio of ballerina mice on her card using the new Nutcracker Squeak Stamp Set! It's so cute how they are wearing different colored tutus and holding hands. She has them all on a slider too so you can pull them across the card! She also added in the "merry & bright" die cut words using our new Holiday Greetings Die Set. The scallop edged panel was cut out using our Frames & Flags Die Set. 

The teal, red and gray color combo on this card by Zsofia are so stunning! She used the cute trio of caroling kitties from the new Caroling Newton Stamp Set, adding in two tiny caroling mice too. Then she added them in front of a background of teal music that was created using our new Music Stencil. She added the "be merry" using the new Holiday Greetings Die Set with glittery red paper. The postage edged panel was also cut out using our Framework Die Set. 

Larissa used a waterfall style card to feature all the cute little mice from our new Nutcracker Squeak Stamp Set! You can pull the lever on the side to see them flip across the stage! What a fun way to use several images from a set to create an awesome interactive card! 

This sweet card by Tatiana features those lovely kitties singing christmas tunes! She colored the trio of kitties from our new Caroling Newton Stamp Set and cut them out with the coordinating die set. She added them in front of a fun music background that was created using our new Music Stencil! The scallop edged panel was cut out using the Frames & Flags Die Set.

Holly created this awesome holiday card featuring those mice dressed as Nutcracker characters from our new Nutcracker Squeak Stamp Set. She  cut them all out with the coordinating die set and added them on her card in front of fun blue circles! Inside the circles she added some snow using our Petite Snow Stencil.

This Christmas card by Ellen is so pretty with the bright pink and purple colors! She colored the kitties from the Caroling Newton Stamp Set and added the caroling mouse in front too. She added those lovely birch trees from our new Forest Scene Builder Die Set in the background. For her snow, she die cut some glittery paper using our Sea Borders Die Set. For the postage edged panel was die cut using our our Framework Die Set.
