Happy Meowr Cards by Jennifer Jackson

It's Happy MEOWR! 

Hello! Jen here today and I've been having so much fun with our NEW Newton's Happy Meowr Stamp Set! We snuck this new design into our shop over Memorial Day Weekend but we didn't get a chance to share it on our blog yet so I thought I'd show you what I created using this fun new design! 

For my first card started with the adorable image of Newton drinking a summer drink from a fishbowl! On this one I imagined him drinking a lemonade. I used watercolor markers to color the kitty in shades of gray and added bright yellow to the water in the bowl. I hope the fish likes lemonade too! I also stamped and cut out the sunglasses to add onto the kitty. 

Behind the kitty I inked up a panel using shades of yellow and then die cut it using our Basic Frames Die Set to make it into a big banner. I added the sentiment "It's Happy Meowr Somewhere!" onto a speech bubble that was cut out using our Speech Bubbles Die Set. 

For the background I repeatedly stamped all the little images that are included with this set in a random pattern and then addd splashes of color over them. I then cut it out with our Frames & Tags Die Set to give it that fun zig zag edge. I love how this turned out! It's so fun and cheerful for summer! 

For my second card I created a fun summer theme and added some waves:

I used the same image from our NEW Newton's Happy Meowr Stamp Set again to start out. I used watercolor markers agin but this time I colored the kitty orange (just like our Newton). This time his drink is blue. Maybe it's a summer punch or blue raspberry flavor? I cut the image out using the coordinating Newton's Happy Meowr Die Set. 

For the background I used our Waves & Splashes Stencil to create layers of fun waves. Then I cut the panel out using the rectangle from our Basic Frames Die Set. I also added a stripe of yellow polka dot paper along the bottom of the panel using our Bright Basics Paper Pad. 

Lastly, I used our Circle Frames Die Set to add a scalloped circle of vellum behind the kitty and a  yellow circle next to him with the sentiment "Cheers to Summer!"

Sea You at the Beach Card by Tatiana Trafimovich

Sea You at the Beach! 

We are spending a lot of time at the beach this week! Today we have fresh summer inspiration from Tatiana, who has created this adorable beach scene filled with kitty friends! 

To create this card she stamped and colored two of the kittens from our Kitten Beach Stamp Set. She used neutral colors paired with soft summer pastels to color the images. She also added fun speckles to the sandcastle and white gel pen accents to add fun detail! She also stamped and colored the image of the beach bag filled with summer accessories from our Summer Moments Stamp Set, cutting it out with the coordinating Summer Moments Die Set. And, to complete the beach theme, she stamped and colored the van carrying surfboards from our new Beach Bound Stamp Set, cutting it out using the coordinating Beach Bound Die Set. 

For her card base, she created a beach scene by inking soft brown along the bottom for the sand and then adding waves along the top using our Waves & Splashes Stencil with blue ink. Some ink splatters add texture to the sand too. Then she assembled all the elements together on top of the beach. The sentiment from the Summer Moments Stamp Set in the top corner finishes the card off.

Have a Corgeous Summer Slimline Card by Andrea Shell

"Corgeous" Summer! 

Today we are headed back to the beach but this time we are featuring some of our favorite pups, corgis! Andrea used those cute corgis from our Corgi Beach Stamp Set to create a slimline card that is filled with summer fun! She started out by coloring two of the corgi images, one with a grass hula skirt and one riding a surfboard. She cut the images out using the coordinating Corgi Beach Die Set.

For the background panel she stenciled a seashell pattern using our Seashells Stencil. She then cut it into a long scalloped shape using the long frame die cut from our Slimline Frames & Portholes Die Set. She added the square stitched frame with three windows using our Slimline Frames & Windows Die Set and used two of the stitched square interior cuts that you get when you get cut out the frame and created beach scenes on them. She used our Hills & Grass Stencil and our Waves & Splashes Stencil for the waves and land on the backgrounds.

To finish it out, in the center she added the sentiment "Have a corgeous summer" from the Corgi Beach Stamp Set.

Design Team member Zsofia Molnar couldn't just pick one card, so she picked two cards by Meghan Kennihan. The first card used the Oink Stamp Set and the coordinating Oink Die Set.

"I love everything about this card: the layout with all the layers, the patterned papers that they match the farm theme and the cutest little piggies, how they take center stage! The little jewels are perfect finishing touch!"

The second card uses our Cuppa Cactus Stamp Set and the coordinating Cuppa Cactus Die Set.

"I love the stencil play and how the different colours play together nicely. The glitter gel accents are fabulous and even the little splatters give so much texture! The colours are well chosen and bringing the glittery accents back on the cacti ties everything together."

Get Wellie Soon Card & Video by Tina Smith

Get Wellie Soon!

Today Tina shares an adorable card that is perfect for sending cheerful get well wishes! For this fun card she used our Newton's Rain Boots Stamp Set. Although the main stamp in this set is a big image of Newton in Rain Boots, she choose to use the cute little duck image in the set and made this small image the focus of her card! This is such a fun idea as often we forget to use the small images included in the sets!

She stamped and colored the cute little duck image 6 times to create a card that is filled with adorable ducks! She used the coordinating Newton's Rain Boots Die Set to cut out the images and layered them over speech bubbles in different directions that were cut out using our Speech Bubble Die Set. She also used the sentiment "Get wellie soon" from the Newton's Rain Boots Stamp Set, stamped multiple times into the speech bubbles.

For the background she created layers of splashes using our Waves & Splashes Stencil.

Jaw Humbug Card by Samantha Mann

Jaw Humbug!

Today we have a funny card by Samantha featuring sharks with the"Jaw Humbug" sentiment! I guess those sharks are not too excited about the holidays! So funny! She used two sharks from our Shark Bites Stamp Set, colored them and fussy cut them out. She added hats onto them that were stamped from our Newton's Christmas Kittens Stamp Set. These hats are just the right size to add onto the sharks and look even cuter with the tiny pom-poms on the ends!

For the card base she created layers of lovely waves in purples, blues and greens using our Waves & Splashes Stencil with distress inks. Adding a bit of water splatter to the inked parts really adds a nice touch for the water theme! Then she created that custom sentiment "Jaw Humbug" into the center, cutting letters out using our Essential Alphabet Die Set. She added cute little accents to the letters with a white gel pen too. The sharks perfectly frame the sentiment on each side.

Sam is fabulous at fussy cutting but if you don't like cutting images out with scissors you could use the coordinating Shark Bites Die Set  to trim out the sharks and the Newton's Christmas Kittens Die Set to trim out the hats!

These adorable corgis are having a beach party on this card by Maria! She used the corgi pups from our new Corgi Beach Stamp Set along with the new Waves & Splashes Stencil! She added in some die cut waves and clouds using our Sea Borders Die Set and Sky Borders Die Sets and added the little tropical drink image from our Aloha Newton Stamp Set! How cute!

Larissa created this gorgeous floral card using our new Hibiscus Stencil Set with two colors of glittery paste! So beautiful! She also used our Frames & Flags Die Set for the decorative scalloped edge and the Frames Squared Die Set for the green circle. The "aloha friend" sentiment is a sneak peek from a stamp set that will be revealing later this week!

Amanda created this adorable little square card featuring the corgi in a hula skirt from our Corgi Beach Stamp Set! She layered him over a background of grass and clouds that was created using our new Hills & Grass Stencil and Clouds Stencil! She also used our Frames Squared Die Set for the pink scalloped square and rounded stitched square! 

The two corgi pups are so cute floaty the summer day away on this fun card by Holly! She used the corgi pups in floats from our new Corgi Beach Stamp Set and layered them over a fun watercolored background! She also used our Frames & Flags Die Set for the little banner that holds the sentiment.

Ellen created this gorgeous summer card featuring the pineapples from our new Pineapple Stencil Set! She used two colors of glittery paste to make them sparkle! Then she added on the sentiments using our Birthday Essentials Stamp Set! She also used our Framework Die Set for the postage edged panel and our Frames & Flags Die Set for the lime green flag.

This card by Andrea is "corgeous"! She used the cute image of the hula corgi from our Corgi Beach Stamp Set and paired it with a colorful hibiscus background using our new Hibiscus Stencil Set in multiple colors! So beautiful! She also used our Speech Bubbles Die Set to create a fun speech bubble for the sentiment! 

How cool is the corgi on this card by Naki? She created that cool dog using the image from our Corgi Beach Stamp Set and adding on the sunglasses to make him extra cool! He also slides across the waves on a slider! Then she created that fun background using our new Clouds Stencil and Waves & Splashes Stencil! She added a second layer of waves using our Sea Borders Die Set. 

This gorgeous tropical card was created by Zsofia using our new Hibiscus Stencil Set to created a background. Then she added on the die cut Hibiscus bloom using our Hibiscus Die Set. She also added in the sentiment from our Floral Fringe Stamp Set inside a ticket shape from our Framework Die Set.

This corgi pup is having a ton of fun playing in the waves on this card by Samantha! She used the image of the dog from our Corgi Beach Stamp Set. She layered him over a beautiful blue background and framed it top and bottom with ripples cut out using our Sea Borders Die Set.

This card by Tatiana has the perfect summer feeling! She used the corgi in the hula skirt from our Corgi Beach Stamp Set, added a fun little flower to her head! Then she created a little sandy scene using the hill from our new Hills & Grass Stencil. She framed the scene using the scallop edged frame from our Framework Die Set. Then she layered it over a gorgeous tropical background that was  created using our new Hibiscus Stencil Set!
