Halloween Inspiration Week - Day 5 - Ellen & Larissa

   Newton's Nook Designs Halloween Inspiration Week • September 2021

This week Newton's Nook Designs is getting ready for Halloween with a fun Inspiration week! 

All week the NND Design Team has been  sharing inspiration using some of their favorite Halloween products to get you in the mood for tricks and treats! Today is our final inspiration day and we are featuring cute and spooky projects by Ellen HaxelmansLarissa Heskett.

Ellen created a set gift tags for Halloween treats!

First, she created a fun tag to adorn a box of gummy frog treats! She used our Fancy Edges Tag Die Set to cut out the tag and adorned it with the kitty in the pumpkin from our Trick or Treat Kittens Stamp Set. She did an amazing job coloring the kitty! Then she created a little edge of grass along the bottom of the tag using our Land Borders Die Set to set the scene. The sentiment in the circle is from our Brooms & Boos Stamp Set.

Next, she created a fun tag to put over a special bottled beverage featuring the vampire kitty from our Count Newton Stamp Set. She created a scene for the kitty to sit in using a the decorative square die cut from our Frames Squared Die Set and inking it up with pink distress inks. She added grass and a hill using our Land Borders Die Set and a gravestone from the Count Newton Stamp Set. The sentiment is from the Brooms & Boos Stamp Set

 Larissa created a Halloween card filled with shimmer and sparkle!

This card features Newton with his bat costume from our Batty Newton Stamp Set. The colored the kitty in fun shades of gray with a pop of purple. For the card background she created a sky filled with shimmery bats by using our Flying Bats Stencil with foil over black card stock! So cool! The whole panel is framed with a purple postage edge that was cut out using our Framework Die Set.

She also created a bonus project of  jack-o-lantern earrings!

Halloween Inspiration Week - Day 2 - Tatiana & Amanda

Newton's Nook Designs Halloween Inspiration Week • September 2021

This week Newton's Nook Designs is getting ready for Halloween with a fun Inspiration week! 

All week the NND Design Team will be sharing inspiration using some of their favorite Halloween products to get you in the mood for tricks and treats! Today we are featuring cute and spooky projects by Tatiana Trafimovich and Amanda Wilcox

Tatiana created this amazing Halloween kitten card!

She used created a fun distress inked circle with fun bright purples and oranges. Then she layered the kitten peeking out of the pumpkin from our Trick or Treat Kittens Stamp Set over the top. She colored the image in fun bright colors and added additional pieces of candy around the bottom and bats from the Count Newton Stamp Set in the sky! The die cut sentiment "Trick or Treat" is from our Halloween Trio Die Set

For a fun finishing touch, everything has fun white paint splatters added over it too!

 Amanda a set of cute little Halloween treat pockets!

She created two little pockets to hold Halloween candy bars (to see direction ons how she folded them up, visit her blog, Twiddler's Nook today)! She used our Flying Bats Stencil and Gingham Stencil to add patterns to the treat holders. Then she colored the cute kittens from our Trick or Treat Kittens Stamp Set, adding bits of sparkle to them!

She cut out circles using our Circle Frames Die Set to cut out scalloped circles to put behind the kittens and smaller black circles to hold the sentiments.

Happy Halloween Card and Treat Bag by Ellen Haxelmans

Happy Halloween Card and Treat Bag by Ellen Haxelmans | Batty Newton Stamp Set, Flying Bats Stencil and more by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Happy Halloween!

Halloween is just around the corner and today we are sharing a fun duo of Halloween projects by Ellen

First, she created a fun little treat bag for Halloween candy:

To decorate this bag she created a glittery bat background using our Flying Bats Stencil with some glittery texture gel. She added the "trick or treat" sentiment from the Happy Howl-Oween Stamp Set, embossed on the little round black tag that was die cut our Tags Time Two Die Set. She also added a candy corn from our Candy Corn Stamp Set and other little candies from the Hoppy Halloween Stamp Set, cutting them out with their coordinating Hoppy Halloween Die Set and Candy Corn Die Set

Next, she created an amazing Halloween card using our Batty Newton Stamp Set:

She started out by coloring the adorable image of the kitty in the bat costume from the Batty Newton Stamp Set in fun bright colors adding speckles and striped details to the fur! She cut this image along with the little bats from the same set using the coordinating Batty Newton Die Set. Then she created a gorgeous purple sky for the bat using distress inks. She added a moon into the sky using our Sky Scene Builder Die Set. She also added layers of clouds along the bottom using our Sky Borders Die Set. The whole scene is framed by a lime green frame with a scalloped edge that was cut using our Frames & Flags Die Set. This ties in perfectly with the green bat wings! 

She also decorated the envelope for the card to go in:

She added the name but cutting out letters using our Essential Alphabet Die Set and placing them onto a ticket shape that was cut out using our Framework Die Set. She added on a tiny bat and stars from our Witchy Newton Stamp Set too. Then she added the same glittery texture to the envelope flap, again using our Flying Bats Stencil with a glittery texture gel!

Get ready for a Spooky Halloween!

It's October 1st today so we are getting in the mood for Halloween! This spooky card by Holly should help you be inspired to create some spooky greetings! She used our Creepy Cameos Stamp Set to create a trio of fun frames. She stamped and embossed the black frames from the set and cut them out using the coordinating Creepy Cameos Die Set. She added purple to the centers and then layered the silhouette images, also from the Creepy Cameos Stamp Set over them. For the background she added bats using our Flying Bats Stencil and added gray ink around the edges for a spooky look! So perfect for Halloween!

First up we are sharing a spooky Halloween card by Nakaba

Nakaba created this amazing monochromatic scene that is perfect for a spooky Halloween greeting! She created that awesome sky full of fuzzy bats using our Flying Bats Stencil with Deco Foil Transfer Gel. Once the gel was dry, she added the flock using Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets in Black Velvet from Therm O Web with a laminator. This adds such a fun fuzzy texture to the bats! 

Under the sky, she stamped the trio of costumed critters from our Halloween Trio Stamp Set. She colored them using just shades of black pencil for a fun and spooky effect! She also added the "happy Halloween" Sentiment underneath them using glow in the dark embossing powder.

For her first card Andrea created an adorable winter scene using our Winter Woofs Stamp Set. Isn't that pup building the snowman so cute? She colored the image out using the coordinating Winter Woofs Die Set. She added the Santa hat on the ground, stamping it from our Winston's Home for Christmas Stamp Set.

To create the fun winter scene, she made a snowy sky she using the Pixie Spray from Therm O Web to keep the Petite Snow Stencil in place and spread on Deco Foil Transfer Gel with the Stencil Pal. Once the gel was dry, she added the flock using Flock Transfer Sheets in White Latte from Therm O Web with a laminator. She used our Land Borders Die Set to cut out a hill and added a bit of gilttery snow to the hill using Glitz Glitter Gel in White from Therm O Web  She also used our Forest Scene Builder Die Set to add trees to the background, adding a bit of Glitz Glitter Gel in White to them too. The whole scene was framed using the scallop edge from our Frames & Flags Die Set.  She also used the flag from the Frames & Flags Die Set to hold the sentiment.

For her second card she created a fun Halloween themed card using our Witchy Newton Stamp Set. She colored the image of the kitty in the witch boot from the set and cut it out using the coordinating Witchy Newton Die Set. She mounted the kitty on a tag that was cut out using our Fancy Edges Tag Die Set. She added the "Happy meow-oween" Sentiment along the bottom of the tag using our Newton's Perfect Pumpkin Stamp Set. She also used this set for the spiderweb and spider.

For the fun background she used our Argyle Stencil Set. She used the Pixie Spray from Therm O Web to keep her stencils in place while she used them. On the stitching layer from the stencil set, she used Deco Foil Metallix Gel in Pure Gold from Therm O Web. She used the Stencil Pal from Therm O Web  to spread the paste evenly.  She also added some Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets in Black Velvet from Therm O Web to the bats, which were die cut from foam.

First up we have gorgeous Holiday card by Tatiana

Tatiana used our Snowfall Stencil with the Gina K. Designs Glitz Glitter Gel in Gold from Therm O Web to create those stunning gold snowflakes! While she was applying the Glitz Gel she used Purple Tape from Therm O Web to hold down the stencil. She also used the Deco Foil Stencil Pal to smooth the paste over the stencil.

Once the gorgeous background was created, Tatiana cut a decorative vellum shape using our Frames Squared Die Set. Then she embossed the "A little Holiday Cheer" Sentiment from our Ornamental Wishes Stamp Set onto the vellum.  She used Zots from Therm O Web to adhere the vellum to the card. What a beautiful Holiday greeting!

 Next, we have a duo of cards using flock by Jen (owner of Newton's Nook Designs):

For the first card, Jen used our Hoppy Halloween Stamp Set to create an adorable spooky Halloween scene. She colored two of the bunnies from the set with watercolor markers and then cut them out using the coordinating Hoppy Halloween Die Set. For the scene she created a sky filled with flocked ghosts using our Ghosts Stencil. She used the stencil with Deco Foil Transfer Gel from Them O Web. Once the gel was dry, she added the flock using Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets in White Latte from Therm O Web with a laminator. The flock adds such a fun texture to the ghosts!

She added to the scene using our Fence Die Set for the fence and our Land Borders Die Set for the grass. She added the sentiment "Hoppy Halloween" from the Hoppy Halloween Stamp Set onto a thought bubble that was cut out using the Speech Bubbles Die Set.  The whole scene was also framed with a scalloped border that was cut out using our Frames & Flags Die Set. This card is so sweet and a little spooky too!

For the second card, Jen created another fun Halloween scene! This time she used the duo of cute costumed dogs from our Happy Howl-oween Stamp Set. She colored this cute image using copic markers and then cut it out using the coordinating Happy Howl-oween Die Set. This time she created created a sky filled with flocked bats using our Flying Bats Stencil. She used the stencil with Deco Foil Transfer Gel from Them O Web. Once the gel was dry, she added the flock using Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets in Purple Punch from Therm O Web with a laminator. This time inside of used the piece of paper where the bats were flocked, she used the reverse piece that you peel off after it is heat set. What a fun way to get double out of your flock sheets! The reverse side of the flock looks super cool too!

To complete the scene she added a hill and some grass again using our Land Borders Die Set. Once again, she also used our Speech Bubbles Die Set to cut out a bubble to hold the sentiment, "trick or treat" from our Happy Howl-oween Stamp Set.  The scalloped rectangle frame and the stitched rectangle were cut out using our Frames & Flags Die Set.

On her frist card Zsofia features that cute kitty peeking out of the pumpkin from our Newton's Boo-tiful Night Stamp Set. She colored the kitty and pumpkins in traditional Halloween colors and cut the image out using the coordinating Newton's Boo-tiful Night Die Set. For the background she created a flocked texture using our Tree Rings Stencil. She used the stencil with Deco Foil Transfer Gel from Them O Web. Once the gel was dry, she added the flock using Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets in White Latte from Therm O Web with a laminator. The sentiment on the banner was stamped from our Newton's Pumpkin Patch Stamp Set.

On her second card, Zsofia used the Newton's Boo-tiful Stamp Set again, this time choosing the image of the kitty on the broom. She colored the kitty image and fussy cut it out to add to her card.  For the sky, she used our Flying Bats Stencil, again with the Deco Foil Transfer Gel from Therm O Web This time she used the Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets in Black Velvet.  She used blue and purple distress ink to created the background sky. She also used our Frameworks Die Set for the postage edge frame and our Frames & Flags Die Set for the banner that holds the sentiment. Such a fun Halloween sky!

 For this card, Zsofia switched to the Christmas theme and she featured the sloth from our Slothy Christmas Stamp Set. She used the coordinating Slothy Christmas Die Set to cut the image out. She paired this cute image with some sparkle using Therm O Web products. She used the  Gina K. Designs Fancy Foils 6x8 in Passionate Pink  along with the Gina K. Designs Foil-Mates Backgrounds - Stars & Stripes to create that lovely striped background. She also used our Frames & Flags Die Set for the scalloped die cut edge and the rounded rectangle cut from vellum. She finished it off with some pine boughs using our Pines & Holly Die Set and a glitter sentiment, die cut using our Holiday Greetings Die Set.

 Zsofia was having so much fun creating, she decided to create a winter card too! This lovely card features the cute fox friends from our Fox Hollow Stamp Set.  She colored the foxes and several trees using soft wintery colors and cut them out using the coordinating Fox Hollow Die Set. To create a scene for them she used our Land Borders Die Set along with the Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets - White Latte from Therm O Web to create a fuzzy white hill. For the snowy background she paired our Petite Snow Stencil with the Gina K. Designs Glitz Glitter Gel  in White  from Therm O Web. So pretty! She also used our Frames & Flags Die Set for the scalloped edge on the frame.

To create this adorable Hallowee scene, Holly used those cute kitties playing in the pumpkin patch from our Newton's Boo-tiful Night Stamp Set. She colored them so they all matched with similar brown and orange markings. For her card she fussy cut them out by hand but you could also use the coordinating Newton's Boo-tiful Night Die Set. To create her scene she used our Clouds Stencil to create layers of purple clouds in the background. Then she added stars over the top using Gina K. Designs Glitz Glitter Gel in White from Therm O Web along with our Cascading Stars Stencil. Along the bottom of the card she created a fun textured ground using Deco Foil Metallix Gel in Black Ice from Therm O Web. She finished her card out with the sentiments from the Newton's Boo-tiful Night Stamp Set over the top. She also used the Memory Tape Runner XL from Therm O Web to adhere it all together.
