A Very Merry Cat Christmas Card by Zsofia Molnar

A Very Merry Cat Christmas Card by Zsofia Molnar | Newton's Curious Christmas and Holiday Mischief Stamp Sets, Evergreens Stencil, Petite Snow Stencil and Land Borders Die Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

A Very Merry Kitty Christmas!!

Today Zsofia has created a fun cat themed holiday card featuring images from two of our favorite cat themed holiday stamp sets together!

She started out by stamping the cat wearing a winter scarf from our Newton's Holiday Mischief Stamp Set and the kitty peeking from behind the snowman from our Newton's Curious Christmas Stamp Set. She colored the kitties in neutral colors and added pops of oranges, teals and greens to the winter accessories! She cut both images out using the coordinating Newton's Holiday Mischief Die Set and Newton's Curious Christmas Die Set.

Here are a couple of close ups so you can see her lovely coloring:

Since both of the images have a winter theme, she created a winter holiday scene for her card.  She filled the background with trees using our Evergreens Stencil with green ink and then layered sparkly snow on top using our Petite Snow Stencil with glittery texture paste. So pretty! She added a snowy hill shape along the bottom of her card, cutting it out using our Land Borders Die Set. Then she layered the images of the kitties on top of the snowy hill to complete the scene. For the sentiment she cut out a red ticket shape using our Framework Die Set and added the phrase "Wishing you a Very Merry Christmas," stamped from our Bells & Holly Stamp Set and embossed in white.

The duo of kitties looks so festive in their winter scene! We hope you enjoyed this gorgeous creation by Zsofia today! You can find more of Zsofia's creations and say hello to her over at her blog, Safsafdesign.

Let it Snow Card by Tatiana Trafimovich

Let it Snow Card by Tatiana Trafimovich | Newton's Curious Christmas Stamp Set, Snow Globe Scenes Stamp Set, Petite Snow Stencil and Land Borders Die Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

Let it Snow!

It's never too early to get a jump start on Holiday! Today we are sharing an adorable winter scene by Tatiana featuring our  Newton's Curious Christmas Stamp Set

Tatiana began by coloring the adorable winter image of the kitty and snowman from the Newton's Curious Christmas Stamp Set in lovely soft colors. She added details with a white gel pen and then fussy cut the image out by hand. If you don't like to fussy cut there is a coordinating Newton's Curious Christmas Die Set available.

To create this lovely snowy scene card, Tatiana ink blended the background panel using pinks and purples. Next she added snowflakes using our Petite Snow Stencil with a white texture paste along the top of the panel. She also added some crystal glitter drops to add sparkle and dimension to the snowy sky.

She used our Land Borders Die Set to cut out white hills for the snowy scene. Then she added tiny trees using the images from our Snow Globe Scenes Stamp Set, trimming them out using the coordinating Snow Globe Scenes Die Set.  The "let it snow" sentiment is also from the Snow Globe Scenes Stamp Set.

No-line Watercoloring Snowman Card by November Guest Designer Ashley Ebben

Hello friends! It's Ashley with my last guest post for Newton's Nook this month! The time has really flown by! For my last card, I decided to try a bit of no-line watercoloring. I am very new to this technique, but I thought the snowmen from Frosty Folks would look really soft and lovely this way.

No-line Watercoloring Snowman Card by November Guest Designer Ashley Ebben | Frosty Folks & Newton's Curious Christmas Stamp Sets by Newton's Nook Designs

I started by stamping the Newton and snowman from Newton's Curious Christmas onto white watercolor cardstock with InkOn3 Fadeout Ink. I masked the image off, then stamped the Frosty Folks in Fadeout Ink as well so the images were layered. I then slowly watercolored everything in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. A few of the details ended up getting lost, but the soft effect is worth it, I think.

Once the watercoloring was dry, I splattered a bit of white acrylic paint over the whole piece to look like a light snowfall. I die cut it with a stitched rectangle, then added it to a piece of blue snowflake paper. I stamped the sentiment from Frosty Folks in a bright blue ink to go with the patterned paper and some of the blue watercolored spots. To finish, I added a scattering of clear snowflake sequins for some sparkle.

Thank you so much for stopping by and for having me as a guest on the blog!
Have a wonderful day!

Purr-fect Christmas Card by November Guest Designer Ashley Ebben

Hello friends! It's Ashley back with a new guest post for Newton's Nook Designs today! Newton's Nook has some of the cutest Christmas stamps, so I couldn't resist putting together a little Christmas kitty scene!

Purr-fect Christmas Card by Guest Designer Ashley Ebben | Newton's Curious Christmas, Santa Paws Newton, & Purr-fect Present Stamp Sets by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

I started by blending a Distress Oxide background on white cardstock. I used Mustard Seed, Cracked Pistachio, Mermaid Lagoon, Wilted Violet, and Chipped Sapphire to create a glowy look. I was hoping for a bit of a fire lit feel for a Christmas tree scene. I splattered the background with white paint and some liquid shimmer for lots of holiday sparkle. For the floor, I added a strip of brown woodgrain patterned paper to look like hardwood. I then attached the background to a black card base, leaving a small space around the edges to act as a frame.

Purr-fect Christmas Card by Guest Designer Ashley Ebben | Newton's Curious Christmas, Santa Paws Newton, & Purr-fect Present Stamp Sets by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

I stamped images from Newton's Curious Christmas, Purr-fect Present, and Santa Paws Newton in Copic friendly black ink and colored. I decided to make them all look like my ragdoll kitty Gavin this week. He is the cutest cat in the world in my completely unbiased opinion. Plus, he definitely climbed a Christmas tree or two in his younger years! I fussy cut all of the images out then added a few highlights with white gel pen and some sparkly details to the presents and tree with a glitter gel pen. I glued the Christmas tree to the background, then popped the Santa and present up with foam tape. I finished with a sentiment from Santa Paws Newton stamped with VersaMark ink on black cardstock and embossed with white. I popped the sentiment up with some foam tape too!

Cold Weather Friendship Card by Zsofia Molnar

Cold Weather Friendship Card by Zsofia Molnar | Newton's Curious Christmas and Newton's Holiday Mischief Stamp Sets by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

Cold Weather Friends!

Today Zsofia created this adorable card featuring kitties who are cold weather friends! She started by combing kitties from two sets. The kitty wearing the scarf is from our Newton's Holiday Mischief Stamp Set and the kitty peeking from behind the snowman is from our Newton's Curious Christmas Stamp Set. Don't they go so purr-fectly together!? She colored both the kitties using copic markers and cut them out using the coordinating Newton's Holiday Mischief Die Set and Newton's Curious Christmas Die Set.  She added them to her card using our Land Borders Die Set to make a snow hill and layering some snowy background paper behind them. The added the sentiment about cold weather from our Fireside Friends Stamp Set.  To finish it off she framed the whole scene with a red postage edged frame from our Framework Die Set.

Here's a close up - don't you love the added glossy effects on the snowman's nose and the little buttons she added too?

Hi there it's Mindy from MyCreativeScoop.com, again.

Today I have a fun everyday card to share with you. But I'm actually using Newton's Curious Christmas Stamp Set. Isn't that awesome! This stamp set is so versatile if you just think a little bit outside the box! I took the Newton looking at the moon and Santa Sleigh Stamp and just colored Newton and cut him out. Pretty clever, right!? You can actually use this stamp set for so many occasions.

I used my Cool Grey Copic Markers to color this little darling Newton and I used my Copics also to create the the Rainbow on the other side of the window. I made the window from rectangle die cuts and just glued the the little strips for the inside of the window. The sentiment is actually from Newton's Mini Stamp Set, Newton's Daydream.

Christmas Kitty Card with August Guest - Mindy Baxter

This is our second post today - to see our Inky Paws #34 Challenge winners, scroll down or click here.

Happy Monday! I'd like to introduce our guest designer for the month of August - Mindy Baxter!
Mindy has some incredible copic coloring skills and we can't wait to share her projects using Newton's Nook Designs stamps! Check out her awesome project below and come back each Monday to see fresh inspiration from her!

I'm Mindy, a 30 something year old mother of 3 from Sunny, Southern California! I've been an avid papercrafter for over 10 years. My crafting passion is Copic Markers and teaching others how to use them. Another passion of mine is graphic design and illustration. When I'm not crafting I'm working on my blog, scrolling through Pinterest, Instagram, Pokemon hunting with the kiddos, at Disneyland or at work! :)

Hello! I'm Mindy from MyCreativeScoop.com. I'm so excited to be guest designing for Newton's Nook Designs this month.

Christmas Kitty Card with August Guest - Mindy Baxter | Newton's Curious Christmas Stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook
I have a Christmas Card to share with you, cause let's face it.. Christmas is just around the corner and it's better to get started early before all the shopping chaos starts and you run out of time. I'm using this super cute set called Newton's Curious Christmas. This is such an adorable set and can be colored so many ways. I decided to color the tree in an outside scene. I just adore Christmas Trees with snow.

I colored with my Copic Markers and I used a white gel pen to create the snow on the tips. Coloring over the stamped outline with the white gel pen really makes it look snowy and don't you love the font of the sentiment, "No Peeking" which also comes in the Newton's Curious Christmas Set.
