Sweet Puppy Treats Card by Samantha Mann

Sending a Special Treat!

Today Samantha has created a card that is filled with yummy treats, perfect for sending to a Valentine or loved one! 

For this yummy card she started out with the puppy in the cookie jar from our Puppy’s Cookie Jar Stamp Set. She colored the image and then added the sentiment "Special Treats for Someone Sweet" onto the jar front. The image was cut out using the coordinating Puppy’s Cookie Jar Die Set. 

This puppy is dreaming of lots of treats so Samantha die cut a big speech bubble using our Speech Bubbles Die Set and filled it with small images of love and sweets! The cookies are from the Puppy’s Cookie Jar Stamp Set and the other images are from the Valentine Postage Sampler Stamp Set.

Kitty Get Well Card by Samantha Mann

Hope You're Feline Better Soon!

Today we are sharing an adorable get well card by Samantha. If you have a friend who is under the weather, this sweet kitty is sure to cheer them up. 

She started by stamping the two cats from our Newton’s Sick Day Stamp Set. This set includes several cats who are perfect for sending well wishes. She used the cat in the nurses hat and the cat under the blanket, along with the box of tissues for her card today. She colored the cats in shades of brown and added cute pink cheeks to them both. She cut the images out by hand but you could also use our Newton's Sick Day Die Set. 

For her card front she started with a white card panel. She created a mask using our Circle Frames Die Set  and then added pink and orange distress inks inside the circle. She also used our Petite Paw Prints Stencil to add to the paw prints inside the circle too. 

For the pattern up the side of her card she used used the small images for the set, repeatedly stamping them with pink ink to match the circle.

She cut two message bubbles from our Speech Bubbles Die Set to hold her sentiment. She embossed the sentiment onto one of the bubbles and then added blue ink over the top to match the colors on the blanked and tissue box. She layered the blue bubble with a white bubble underneath so that it pops off the background. 

We hope this card will help bring a bit of cheer to a friend who isn't feeling well.

Happy Meowr Cards by Jennifer Jackson

It's Happy MEOWR! 

Hello! Jen here today and I've been having so much fun with our NEW Newton's Happy Meowr Stamp Set! We snuck this new design into our shop over Memorial Day Weekend but we didn't get a chance to share it on our blog yet so I thought I'd show you what I created using this fun new design! 

For my first card started with the adorable image of Newton drinking a summer drink from a fishbowl! On this one I imagined him drinking a lemonade. I used watercolor markers to color the kitty in shades of gray and added bright yellow to the water in the bowl. I hope the fish likes lemonade too! I also stamped and cut out the sunglasses to add onto the kitty. 

Behind the kitty I inked up a panel using shades of yellow and then die cut it using our Basic Frames Die Set to make it into a big banner. I added the sentiment "It's Happy Meowr Somewhere!" onto a speech bubble that was cut out using our Speech Bubbles Die Set. 

For the background I repeatedly stamped all the little images that are included with this set in a random pattern and then addd splashes of color over them. I then cut it out with our Frames & Tags Die Set to give it that fun zig zag edge. I love how this turned out! It's so fun and cheerful for summer! 

For my second card I created a fun summer theme and added some waves:

I used the same image from our NEW Newton's Happy Meowr Stamp Set again to start out. I used watercolor markers agin but this time I colored the kitty orange (just like our Newton). This time his drink is blue. Maybe it's a summer punch or blue raspberry flavor? I cut the image out using the coordinating Newton's Happy Meowr Die Set. 

For the background I used our Waves & Splashes Stencil to create layers of fun waves. Then I cut the panel out using the rectangle from our Basic Frames Die Set. I also added a stripe of yellow polka dot paper along the bottom of the panel using our Bright Basics Paper Pad. 

Lastly, I used our Circle Frames Die Set to add a scalloped circle of vellum behind the kitty and a  yellow circle next to him with the sentiment "Cheers to Summer!"

Birthday Barks Card by Zsofia Molnar

Birthday Barks!

Today we are celebrating a birthday with a cute puppy card by Zsofia! This adorable card is perfect for sending a birthday greeting to a dog lover. 

This sweet card features the image of three dogs from our Birthday Barks Stamp Set. This trio of dogs are ready to celebrate a birthday and are so cute with their party hat, cake and noisemaker! She colored the dogs in neutral shades of brown and gray and then added pink and brown tones for the cake and birthday accessories. She cut the image out using the coordinating Birthday Barks Die Set. 

She also added fun bits of gloss to the image. Here is a close up so you can see all the amazing detail:

For her card, she used our Confetti Hot Foil Plate with sparkly gold foil to create a fun strip of sparkle up the card. She then cut the panel out using the zig zag edged frame from our Frames & Tags Die Set and added pink ink blending over the top of the panel. She then added the image of the dogs over the top, adhering it with some dimensional adhesive. She added the Happy Birthday message using our Birthday Greetings Hot Foil Plates and then cut the greeting out using our Speech Bubbles Die Set. She added this to the top of the tall dog image to complete the card.

Have a Purr-fect Day Card by Diane Morales

Purr-fect Day!

Today Diane has created a sweet kitty card that is purr-fect for sending smiles! This card was inspired by all the flowers she is seeing in her neighborhood this spring!

For this fun card she started out by stamping the kitty surrounded by flowers and butterflies from our Newton's Flower Garden Stamp Set. She colored the image using neutral colors on the kitty and bright reds and yellows for the flowers and butterflies. She also stamped and colored two additional butterfly images. Everything was then cut out using the coordinating Newton's Flower Garden Die Set. 

For her card base she used our Floral Lace Stencil with some white pigment ink and dark red ink to create a fun floral background. She cut this panel out using the stitched rectangle from our Basic Frames Die Set to add a fun stitched edge on her card. 

She then added the kitty and butterflies onto her card and the sentiment, "Have a purr-fect Day!" stamped from the Cat-itude Stamp Set onto a white bubble that was cut out using our Speech Bubble Die Set.

Create a Scene with Die Cuts!

Most of us make cards with stamping as the main focus, but creating a card with mostly die cutting is a very fun and creative way to create a card with a twist! Today we are sharing a card by Ellen has created using several of our favorite die sets to inspire you!

Ellen started by die cutting the stitched rectangle using our Basic Frames Die Set. This will be the panel for her scene. She inks up the panel in warm orange and yellow distress inks and adds a bit of splatter to make it into a stunning sunset or sunrise sky. Next, she cuts a piece for the ground using our Land Borders Die Set, inking it up with shades of brown and adding lots of splatter for texture.

Once she has her setting in place, she adds a stack of books to the center of the scene using the book images that come with our Bookmark II Die Set. She uses our Forest Scene Builder Die Set to add the trees, leaves and the little bird that is perched on the speech bubble.  The little hearts and speech bubble is from the Speech Bubbles Die Set. Inside the speech bubble she embossed a message from our Newton's Reading List Stamp Set. This sentiment works perfectly with the theme of the card! So fun!  

Then she adds a cat using our Cat Silhouettes Die Set and a the warm cup of cocoa or coffee from the Coffee Silhouettes Die Set.  To finish the scene she frames it with a soft pink zig zag edged frame, die cut using our Frames & Tags Die Set.

Create a Scene with Die Cuts!

Have you ever created a scene using die cuts? Today we are sharing a card by Ellen has created using several of our favorite die sets to inspire you!

Ellen started by die cutting the stitched rectangle using our Basic Frames Die Set. This will be the panel for her scene. She inks up the panel in blue distress inks and adds a bit of splatter to make it into a night sky. Next, she cuts a piece for the ground using our Land Borders Die Set, inking it up with shades of brown and adding lots of splatter for texture.

Herd It's Your Birthday Card by Zsofia Molnar

Birthday Moos!

Today we are sharing a fun farm themed birthday card by Zsofia! 

This adorable card features the cute cow from our Moo Stamp Set. Zsofia stamped the cow and hay bale from the Moo Stamp Set. She also stamped the bundle of balloons that are placed in the tail of the cow using and image from our Cycling Friends Stamp Set. She colored all the images, using pretty shades of yellow and blue on the balloons. The images were then cut out using the coordinating Moo Die Set and Cycling Friends Die Set. Next she cut out a black banner using our new Basic Frames Die Set and layered the images on top. So cute! She also added the sentiment "Herd it's your birthday!" from the Moo Stamp Set, stamped onto a bubble that was cut out with our Speech Bubbles Die Set. She added a bit of white ink to the edges of the banner along with some white twine across the top and a few clear embellishment dots to finish out the banner. 

For her card, she used a white card base and then layered a fun gingham patterned paper from our Pastel Basics Paper Pad, cut into a zig zag edged frame using our Frames & Tags Die Set! This perfectly frames the banner and adds to the farm theme! The last step was the the big "celebrate" across the bottom, stamped in black using our Birthday Essentials Stamp Set.

This fun farm themed birthday card would be perfect for a friend or family member of any age!

Decorative Envelope Duo by Ellen Haxelmans

Decorative Envelopes for Spring

When you give out handmade cards do you decorate your envelopes? Today Ellen has created two beautiful envelopes to inspire you to give it a try!

She started by adding a pattern across the envelope front using our Tree Line Stencil. This fun stencil has three rows of patterns that you can line up with the etching on the opposite rows. For her trees she used two shades of green for the tree tops and a brown for the tree trunks. Next, she added some paint splatters across the envelope front and added ink to the corners to give it a fun bit of texture. To finish it off, she cut out a green notched corner rectangle using our Frames & Tags Die Set and glued that to the front. This will be the spot where you can address the envelope. 

Next, she created a second envelope, using a similar design:

this time she added a tulip pattern across the envelope front using our Spring Garden Line Stencil. This fun stencil also has three rows of patterns that you can line up with the etching on the opposite rows. For this stencil you can choose from daffodils or tulips and Ellen chose to add pink tulips. Again, she added some paint splatters (pink this time) across the envelope front and added ink to the corners to give it a fun bit of texture. This time she cut out a pink notched corner rectangle using our Frames & Tags Die Set and glued that to the front. 

Finally, she added a few decorations to the back flaps too:

To create these fun little additions she cut out the tiny tags using our Frames & Tags Die Set and added little hearts that were cut out using our Speech Bubble Die Set. 

What a beautiful way to add some fun to your envelopes! Now what do we think she will put inside them?

Happy Easter Card with Peeps by Zsofia Molnar

Easter Kitties & Peeps!

Today Zsofia has created a fun Easter card filled with easter peeps and kitties! 

She started out by stamping the adorable images of Newton and the chicks from our Newton's Peeps Stamp Set. She also stamped some extra chicks and little flowers using the same set. She colored all the images using a fun spring color palette filled with yellow, green and orange. The images were all cut out using the coordinating  Newton's Peeps Die Set. She created a little scene for the kitties by cutting out a mint green rectangle using our Framework Die Set and adding a layer of grass using our Land Borders Die Set. Then she tucked all the images around the grass. Isn't it cute how the kitty is peeking out from behind it!? She also added the sentiment, stamped onto a bubble that was cut out using our Speech Bubbles Die Set. So cute!

For her card, she started with a white card base and added a fun layer of pattern, created using our Basketweave Stencil in brown ink over a light brown paper. She cut this panel out using the postage stamp edged die from our Framework Die Set and layered it behind her scene. That basket pattern really adds to the fun Easter theme!

I Totally Dig You Card by Amanda Wilcox

I Totally Dig You!

Today we are digging up some Valentine fun with Amanda!

This card features the cute construction truck digging up hearts from our Love Quarry Stamp Set. She colored the image in fun bright colors and added bits of sparkle and gel accents! The image was then cut out using the coordinating Love Quarry Die Set. 

For the card, Amanda created a fun tri-fold layout! She folded the cardstock in thirds and created two blue inked panels to cover the front folds. She stamped the heart filled image from our heart from our Heartfelt Love Stamp Set and used our  Heart Frames Die Set to cut it out. She also cut out a the larger grey heart using the same die set and framed the smaller heart with that. She adhered these pieces to one side of the folded card front and then added the truck on the top. She also added the sentiment "I totally DIG you!" from the Love Quarry Stamp Set onto a bubble (cut out using our Speech Bubbles Die Set). So cute! 

Inside the card she added more fun using the "Hugs & Kisses" sentiment from the Heartfelt Love Stamp Set along with a traffic cone and second construction truck from our Love Quarry Stamp Set.

Feline Frosty Card by Ellen Haxelmans

Feline Frosty!

Is it hot where you live today? Cool off with this snowy card by Ellen!

This fun card features the trio of kitties playing in the snow from our Newton's Snowman Stamp Set. She colored the image with alcohol markers and added tons of amazing details with dots and strips on the kitties fur. She cut the image out using the coordinating Newton's Snowman Die Set. 

For the scene she created an inky sky with distress inks and then cut the panel out using our Frames & Flags Die Set to give it a scalloped edge. She added black birch trees on each side using our Forest Scene Builder Die Set and snow across the card bottom using layers of white cut out with our Sea Borders Die Set and Land Borders Die Set. A few snowflakes in the sky were stamped on vellum to finish the fun snowy scene and she used our Speech Bubbles Die Set to hold the message "Feline frosty."

Meow's it Going? Slimline Card by Amanda Wilcox

Meows it Going?

What is better than receiving a happy hello in the mail? Today we're sharing a card by Amanda that would certainly make someone smile if they found it in their mailbox!

For this adorable card, Amanda features the trio of kitties playing outdoors from our Captivated Kittens Stamp Set. She stamped and colored each image using gorgeous spring tones and giving each kitty a different fur color. Then she cut the trio out using the coordinating Captivated Kittens Die Set. 

For the card base, she choose to create a slimline card to give room to showcase all three images! She inked the card base with the fun pattern from our Basketweave Stencil. Then she used our Slimline Frames & Windows Die Set to cut a frame. This is perfect because it has three square windows and each kitty gets his own little scene. Inside each window frame she used our Clouds Stencil and Hills & Grass Stencil to create the little scenes. Then she assembled it all together, using dimensional adhesives to give the images some height. 

For the sentiment, she used our Speech Bubbles Die Set to cut a speech bubble and stamped "Meow's it going" inside. So adorable!
