Creating an Apple Tree Branch

Today we are sharing a gorgeous apple card by Samantha featuring our Autumn Apples Stamp Set and our Cherry Blossoms Stamp Set

She created the gorgeous branch of apples using the apple image from the Autumn Apples Stamp Set. She stamped and colored the apple multiple times and cut the image out using the coordinating Autumn Apples Die Set. To create the branch she used the branch of blooms from our Cherry Blossoms Die Set. She stamped and colored this branch multiple times so that she had enough to span across her card. She cut the images out using the coordinating Cherry Blossoms Stamp Set. She then arranged the apples and the floral branches across her card to create the look of a loaded down apple branch! So cool! 

She wanted a few more little leaves so she used the tiny leaf stamp from our Newton's Hanging Basket Stamp Set, coloring the images and cutting them out using the coordinating Newton's Hanging Basket Die Set. She added the little leaves onto the branch and then spritzed it all with a bit of white paint for a bit of texture. 

She layered everything over a beautiful smoky background that she had created with alcohol inks. The apples really pop over the black!

We love the way Samantha mixed and matched the stamps together to create a unique and beautiful card!

Apple Filled Autumn Greetings by Zsofia Molnar

Autumn Greetings!

Today we are sharing a gorgeous fall themed card by Zsofia that is sure to make you crave some apple cider!

To create this beautiful card she started by stamping and coloring images of apples and cider from our Autumn Apples Stamp Set. She colored the apples in brilliant shades of red and caramel and added details with a white gel pen. She cut all the images out using the coordinating Autumn Apples Die Set. 

Behind the tasty row of apples, she added a gorgeous foiled leaf border, created using our Fall Leaves Hot Foil Plate. Doesn't it go perfectly with the apple theme? She also added a shiny sentiment "Autumn Greetings" below the images. This sentiment was foiled using our Autumn Greetings Hot Foil Plates.

You're the Spice in my Cider Card by Donna Idlet

It's Cider Season!

Fall is nearly here and that means it's time for apple cider! Today Donna has created a card that captures the spice of the season!  

For this yummy card she started out by using our new Autumn Apples Stamp Set. She stamped the mug filled with cider twice, coloring the mugs in blue and orange and alternating the colors of the apples too. She cut the images out using the coordinating Autumn Apples Die Set. 

For the fun fall themed background she picked pretty patterned papers from our Autumn Paper Pad. She lined up the paper strips together and used our Frames & Flags Die Set to cut them into a fun background panel that has a scalloped edge. 

Next, she stamped the sentiment "You're the spice in my cider" from the Autumn Apples Stamp Set onto a circle that was die cut using our Circle Frames Die Set. This sits nicely behind the two mugs on her card. She also die cut a few leaves using the extra shape dies from our Fall Friends Die Set to add even more fall fun!

We love the combination of products on this card! Such a great fall vibe!

Apple Baking Card by Ellen Haxelmans

Apple-solutely Wonderful!

Today Ellen has created an adorable apple themed card that is sure to make you smile!

This fun card features our new Autumn Apples Stamp Set, Fall Harvest Stamp Set along with the baking kitty from our Newton's Kitchen Stamp Set and the baking accessories from our Made from Scratch Stamp Set! What a fun combo of images! 

For the card base, she uses our A7 Frames & Banners Die Set to create the frames on the card. Scroll down for a few details from Ellen! 

Here are some tips from Ellen on how she created this adorable card:

• (Left photo above): I started by cutting the card base, folding it and stamped the sentiment with white embossing powder (using a heat tool and Versamark ink)
  
  
• (center photo above): Next I die cut a few elements from the A7 Frames & Banners Die Set. The inside rectangles I die cut twice. Then I colored the first batch in a yellow orange. From the second batch of rectangles I cut them into hills using the Land Borders Die Set.
  
  
•  (right photo above): Next I did color all the illustrations from the Autumn Apples Stamp Set, Fall Harvest Stamp Set, Newton's Kitchen Stamp Set and Made from Scratch Stamp Set with my Copic markers.

Bright Bold Apple Card by Amanda Wilcox

Apple-solutely Wonderful!

Today we are featuring a tasty apple card by Amanda that will leave you with a craving for a crisp apple!

To create fun card she started with the apple image from our new Autumn Apples Stamp Set. She embossed this image in white three bright cardstock colors with white embossing powder! What a fun way to add bright pops of color to your card without all the work of coloring the images! She cut all the apples out using the coordinating Autumn Apples Die Set. 

For her card, she started with a white card base and then used our Framework Die Set to out out the large postage edged panel from black cardstock. She rubbed a little white ink over the black to soften the look and give it a chalkboard feeling. Then she layered her apples all around the edges. In the center she added the sentiment "Have an apple-solutely Wonderful Day!" from our Autumn Apples Stamp Set. This greeting was stamped onto a white ticket shape, also cut out with our Framework Die Set.

This beautiful creation would be perfect to send as a happy hello in fall or any time of year! You could also use it for a teacher card too!

Fall Themed Cards and a Fond Farewell to Maria Russell

Fall is in the Air!

Today we are sharing two fun fall cards by Maria using some of our brand new Fall products! 

For her first card she features that sweet kitty in the wheelbarrow full of pumpkins from our new Newton's Harvest Time Stamp Set. She colors the image in gorgeous fall neutral tones and adds white gel pen accents. She cut the image out using the coordinating Newton's  Harvest Time Die Set.

For her card, she uses several of the fun prints from our Autumn Paper Pad to create both background strips and to cut out leaves using our Autumn Leaves Die Set. What a fun way to combine the fall shapes and prints together! She layers the papers and leaves behind a scallop edged circle that was cut out using our Circle Frames Die Set. What a fabulous fall creation!

For her second card she features the yummy caramel apples from our Autumn Apples Stamp Set:

She stamped and colored a trio of caramel apples that look good enough to eat! She cut them out using the coordinating Autumn Apples Die Set. For her card she added a tag using our Fancy Edges Tag Die Set. She adds teal polka dot patterns using our Autumn Paper Pad to frame the top and bottom of the tag. In the center she adds the sentiment "You're the caramel to my apple" from our Autumn Apples Stamp Set. She adds some mustard yellow colored polka dot paper to add a perfect background that ties in with the caramel color on the apples! For this she again uses our Autumn Paper Pad and adds a postage die cut edge using our Framework Die Set. 

What a fabulous color combo for Fall! Who is in the mood for a caramel apple treat now!?

A Fond Farewell

We are sad to say that this project marks the LAST post for Maria Russell as part of our Design Team at Newton's Nook Designs! We have enjoyed having Maria on our team and are sad to see go! Maria such a unique talent for combining dies, papers, and stamped images in ways we never would have thought of! Her creative twists always delights us! We know we will continue to be inspired by her in the future and we wish her the very best in her future creative endeavors! 

Thank you so much, Maria, for the awesome inspiration! We'll miss you!
