Surf's Up Birthday Card!

Do you have a a friend with a summer birthday? Today Amanda is sharing a summer themed birthday card that is sure to inspire summer birthday fun!

She started  by stamping and coloring the cute VW Bug with the surfboard on it's roof from our Beach Bound Stamp Set. she colored this cute little image in fun summer colors and and cut it out using the coordinating Beach Bound Die Set. 

She created a fun summer scene for the car to drive by using our Palm Tree Line Stencil. This fun stencil has three rows of the palm tree parts, making it easy to line up and combine the different colors! It makes a perfect setting for the car to drive by on the way to the beach! 

Next, she used our Summertime Paper Pad to cut some pretty patterns to add to her card. She used a simple pink stripe on the top and bottom of the palm tree row and then added the fun hibiscus print along the bottom of the card to add a playful summer vibe! 

For the message, she used two phrases from the Beach Bound Stamp Set, "Surf's Up!" and "Ridin' into another year!" which combine perfectly to create a fun birthday theme! The black rectangle that holds the second part of the message was cut out using our Basic Frames Die Set.

Ridin' Into Another Summer Card by Amanda Wilcox

Ride Along to the Beach!

This card by Amanda is perfect for a birthday celebration at the beach!

To create this fun beach vibe she used our Palm Tree Line Stencil to create fun diagonal lines of palm trees across her background panel! She also added little bits of paint splatter to add a bit of fun texture. So cool! 

Next, she used the adorable image of the jeep with a surfboard in the back from our Beach Bound Stamp Set. She colored the image in bright summer colors and used the Beach Bound Die Set to cut it out. 

She layered the jeep over a trio of banners that were cut out using our Frames & Flags Die Set. Two of the banners were cut out using pretty prints from our Summertime Paper Pad. The third banner was cut out from black cardstock and she embossed the sentiment "Ridin' into another year!" onto it. This would be great for sending as a summer birthday, or just as a happy summer hello! 

The final detail is a strip of blue bubble print up the right side of the card. This is also cut from our Summertime Paper Pad. This little detail is the perfect finishing touch and ties in perfectly with the color of the jeep!

Happy Surf Day Card by Larissa Heskett

Happy Surf Day!

Today we are headed to the beach with a beautiful summer card by Larissa!

This card features the adorable image of the van carrying a surfboard and luggage from our Beach Bound Stamp Set. She colored the van beautifully, leaving a bit sunny highlight on the center and added white gel pen accents. The image was cut out using the coordinating Beach Bound Die Set.

For her card, she created a gorgeous summer beach scene. She used the tall palms from our Retro Sun & Palms Stencil Set, applying two colors to the stencil. She also added rhinestones to the centers of the palm tree leaves to look like coconuts! Next, she cut along the bottom of the scene using our  Land Borders Die Set to make a hill. She colored the hill using brown ink and added speckles to make it look like a sandy beach! So cool! The whole scene is framed with a postage edged panel that was cut out using our Framework Die Set. 

 

What a beautiful scene. Who wants to head to beach now!?

Happy Surf Day Card by Zsofia Molnar

Happy Surf Day! 

Today we sharing an incredible tropical birthday card by Zsofia! 

This beautiful summer card features the jeep carrying a surfboard to the beach from our new Beach Bound Stamp Set. She colored the image in fun bright summer colors and fussy cut it out by hand. If you don't like to hand cut there is coordinating die set available (Beach Bound Die Set). 

Next, she cut a circle using our Circle Frames Die Set from white paper. She stenciled two palm trees onto the circle using our Palm Tree Line Stencil. This stencil has three rows of trees that makes it easy to add layered colors to them. She added the cut out jeep onto the circle in front of the trees and added the sentiment "happy surf day" from the Beach Bound Stamp Set onto the bottom. Then she layered this onto her card over a piece of  palm tree patterned paper from our Summertime Paper Pad. What a perfect pairing!

And here you can see the coloring on the palm trees. She added three rhinestones to the center of each tree top for coconuts! What a fun idea! 

This summer card that is sure to make the recipient smile! It would be perfect for sending a summer birthday greeting or just a happy hello!

Mini Summer Envelopes by Ellen Haxelmans

 

Mini Envelopes for Summer!

Today Ellen is sharing how she decorated some mini envelopes with a summer theme! Perfect for tucking a little note into a loved one's lunch box or bag! 

Here's a look at the first envelope:

For this one she used the kitty from our Kitten Beach Stamp Set. Isn't the kitty so cute lounging in the beach chair? She colored the image with copic markers, adding speckles to the fur for texture and cut it out using the coordinating Kitten Beach Die Set. For the background she cut a piece of patterned paper using our Summertime Paper Pad and layered the "hello summer" sentiment from our Flamingo Oval Stamp Set on top, embossing it onto a ticket shape that was cut out using our Framework Die Set. 

She also added little die cut heart on the envelope flap using a heart from our Heart Frames Die Set.

For this adorable beach design she used our beach design she features the car carrying a surfboard from our Beach Bound Stamp Set. She colored the image and cut it out using the coordinating Beach Bound Die Set. For the green striped background she again used a piece of paper from our Summertime Paper Pad, cut to fit on the envelope. Then she added a yellow banner (cut out using our Frames & Flags Die Set) and a scalloped square (cut out using our Slimline Frames & Windows Die Set). The surf's up" sentiment is from the Beach Bound Stamp Set. 

She also added little die cut detail on the envelope flap using a bow from our Pines & Holly Die Set.

Sea You at the Beach Card by Tatiana Trafimovich

Sea You at the Beach! 

We are spending a lot of time at the beach this week! Today we have fresh summer inspiration from Tatiana, who has created this adorable beach scene filled with kitty friends! 

To create this card she stamped and colored two of the kittens from our Kitten Beach Stamp Set. She used neutral colors paired with soft summer pastels to color the images. She also added fun speckles to the sandcastle and white gel pen accents to add fun detail! She also stamped and colored the image of the beach bag filled with summer accessories from our Summer Moments Stamp Set, cutting it out with the coordinating Summer Moments Die Set. And, to complete the beach theme, she stamped and colored the van carrying surfboards from our new Beach Bound Stamp Set, cutting it out using the coordinating Beach Bound Die Set. 

For her card base, she created a beach scene by inking soft brown along the bottom for the sand and then adding waves along the top using our Waves & Splashes Stencil with blue ink. Some ink splatters add texture to the sand too. Then she assembled all the elements together on top of the beach. The sentiment from the Summer Moments Stamp Set in the top corner finishes the card off.

Palm Tree Line Stencil

Add rows of palm trees to your summer scenes using this creative stencil! This design includes three rows (tree trunks, solid palm leaves and trunk and palm leaf details) that can be layered to create decorative trees. Use the etching to align all the parts perfectly. Mix and match by using just two of the rows or all three on your design.
