Inky Paws Challenge Team Guest Week - Amy Tollner

This week we are featuring our Inky Paws Challenge Design Team!

Each day this week we will have a fun project featuring an IPC team member using some of their favorite Newton's Nook Designs products! These awesome designers share projects each Monday inspired by the challenges over at our Inky Paws Challenge blog so make sure to visit them over there too and get inspired to play along with us and our Inky Paws Challenges! 

Today we are featuring a project by Amy Tollner!  

 Amy created a lovely Fall featuring our Fall-ing For You and  Pumpkin Latte Stamp Sets:

If you love fall as much as we do, this card by Amy will steal your heart! She paired our Fall-ing For You and  Pumpkin Latte Stamp Sets together for a beautiful Autumn creation. She stamped and embossed the big sentiment from the Fall-ing For You Stamp Set onto a square that was cut out using our Frames Squared Die Set. Then she stamped and colored the girl holding a coffee and the coffee cup, pumpkins and leaves from the Pumpkin Latte Stamp Set. She did some amazing shading on her coloring and added fun little accents with a white gel pen. There is also bits of sparkle added! Look at those gold buttons on the coat! The images were then cut out using the coordinating Pumpkin Latte Die Set and she arranged them all around the edges of the sentiment! So pretty!

She also cut a scallop edged square using the Frames Squared Die Set with kraft paper and then added colored leaves over it using our Falling Leaves Stencil. This beautiful pattern is layered behind the main image and give the perfect pop of fall colors! 

What a wonderful way to send greetings this Fall!

Grateful for You Card by Amy Tsuruta

Grateful for You!

Although we've started sharing Christmas cards, there is still a bit of time left to celebrate fall too! Today we have an amazing Fall themed card by Amy! She combined several fun fall themed products to create this cozy Fall scene! First she colored the big image of sunflowers from our Sunflower Days Stamp Set.  Then she added pumpkins in front of the sunflowers, using images from our Fall-ing for You Stamp Set and our Pumpkin Latte Stamp Set. She also added the girl carrying her coffee from the Pumpkin Latte Stamp Set. The images were cut out using the coordinating Sunflower Days Die Set and  Pumpkin Latte Die Set.  She layered everything over a stitched circle to contain the scene (cut out with our Circle Frames Die Set). She also added a bit of grass along the bottom of the circle using our Land Borders Die Set.

Behind the circle, she added two fun layers with decorative edges that were cut out using our Framework Die Set. On the top layer she also added a soft argyle pattern using our Argyle Stencil Set. The finishing touch is the sentiment "Grateful for you" from our Fall Roundabout Stamp Set. It was added onto a banner that has a pop up dimension to it from our Banner Trio Die Set. 

This card is jam packed with cozy fall fun, don't you think!?

Fall-ing For You Card by Maria Russell

Fall-ing for Autumn!

Autumn is in the air and today we have a beautiful fall card to share by Maria that is sure to inspire your fall creativity!

For her card today, Maria created a gorgeous one layer card featuring the beautiful bold leaves from our Shades of Autumn Stamp Set. She stamped the leaves around the edge of her card using shades of yellow, pink and green. These lovely bold images have a wonderful watercolor texture to them and work great with colored inks! Pink ink was added around the card to create a soft frame. In the center,  the big sentiment is from our Fall-ing for You Stamp Set.  The finishing touches include ink splatters and gold embellishments! So gorgeous!

Pumpkin Spice Card by Amy Tsuruta

Pumpkin Spice Season!

Do you love Pumpkin Spice? The start of pumpkin spice lattes being available really does signify Fall is nearly here! Today Amy created this gorgeous fall card featuring our Fall-ing For You Stamp Set with gorgeous pastels. The unexpected soft color palette makes this Fall card feel extra special!

The fun sentiment from the Fall-ing For You Stamp Set is the focus of her card and was stamped onto a stitched rectangle shape from our Frames & Flags Die Set. She stenciled a soft peach houndstooth pattern around the edges using our Houndstooth Stencil. At the top, she added a sweet little acorn and leaf that she die cut using our Autumn Leaves Die Set. At the bottom, she added the coffee mug and pumpkins, also from the Fall-ing For You Stamp Set.

She added in a sweet little yellow apple too, using the image from our Newton Dreams of New York Stamp Set. The whole panel was framed with a peach scalloped frame that was cut out with our Frames & Flags Die Set. 

What a gorgeous Fall creation! I hope this card inspires you to broaden your color palette for Fall!

Fall-ing for You Card by Andrea Shell

Fall-ing for Fall!

Fall is in the air and this card by Andrea is perfect for sharing fun Fall thoughts with a friend! She combined several fun Fall products to create this scene. She started by stenciling leaves all over the background using our Falling Leaves Stencil with several different ink colors! She stenciled it on a kraft card base to help give a soft Fall look. Next she added the big sentiment from our Fall-ing for You Stamp Set, embossed onto a strip of vellum. Underneath the sentiment she added the girl drinking coffee from our Pumpkin Latte Stamp Set.  The pumpkins are from both the Pumpkin Latte Stamp Set and the Fall-ing for You Stamp Set. She even added a couple of leaves floating in the breeze from the Pumpkin Latte Stamp Set. The images were cut out using the coordinating
Pumpkin Latte Die Set. What a beautiful combination of elements for a gorgeous Fall card!

Newton's Nook Designs & Wow Embossing Powder Inspiration Week - Day 1 with Samantha & Maria

Newton's Nook Designs and WOW! embossing powders are collaborating all week long to offer you inspiration using their products together! Both design teams will be sharing fun ways to use embossing powders on your projects using WOW!embossing powders paired with Newton's Nook Designs stamps! 

Today we are featuring projects by Samantha and Maria! 

First up we are sharing two amazing cards by Samantha: 

 

On her first card Samantha created a gorgeous floral card. She used the flower images from our Peony Blooms Stamp Set, embossing them using Primary Purple Orchid embossing powder from WOW!. She also stamped the leaves and stems from the Peony Blooms Stamp Set, using the Under the Sea embossing powder from WOW!. The images were colored with watercolor markers and cut out using the coordinating Peony Blooms Die Set. For the background she used clear embossing paste with our Tree Rings Stencil and then added Vintage Champagne embossing powder over the top. So lovely! The scalloped edge was die cut using our Frames & Flags Die Set. 

Next, Samantha created a this gorgeous christmas card! She used our Evergreens Stencil and applied ink using an embossing ink pad over the stencil. Then she embossed the trees using embossing powder from WOW! in the colors Primary Purple Orchid, Earthtone Pepper, and Vintage Champagne. She added in a bit of ink blending using distress inks to fill in any gaps of color. She also added the sentiment using our Sentiments of the Season Stamp Set on a piece of vellum. She hand cut it out to add to the card. What a beautiful nature scene!

 Next, we have gorgeous Fall card by Maria:

For her card Maria started by die cutting a bunch of leaves from colored papers and vellum using our Autumn Leaves Die Set. She also added in a couple of pine boughs and a teal bow using our Pines & Holly Die Set. She clustered the leaves together in the corner of her card. Inside the frame she added a teal background with distress inks. Then she embossed the sentiment from our Fall-ing for You Stamp Set, embossing it using White Puff embossing powder from WOW!.

Pumpkin Spice and You Card by Maria Russell

Pumpkin Spice Fall Card!

Now that it's September, our thoughts are turning to Fall and Pumpkin Spice season! Maria created an amazing Fall themed card today using several of our favorite Fall stamp sets!

This fun card features the adorable girl with the coffee cup from our Pumpkin Latte Stamp Set and cutting the image out using our Pumpkin Latte Die Set. She added her to a framed scene along with a bunch of little leaves from the Autumn Mice Stamp Set and cut them out with the coordinating Autumn Mice Die Set. 

For the scene inside the frame she used our Clouds Stencil to create layers of orange and pink clouds in the sky. She added green hills, die cut with our Land Borders Die Set. Then she stamped the big sentiment over the cloudy background using our Fall-in for You Stamp Set. She also added the "PSL" and some leaves from the Pumpkin Latte Stamp Set on the background.

Happy Halloween Card by Maria Russell

Happy Halloween!

Have you thought about Halloween cards yet? Even though we are still enjoying summer we know fall and Halloween will be here before you know it! Maria is thinking ahead to the next fun season and created this amazing Halloween card today!

She created this fun scene by combing several Halloween and Fall stamp sets! She used the kitty hugging the jack-o-lantern from our Newton's Perfect Pumpkin Stamp Set. She added the fun bold pumpkin with the polka dots using our Pick-a-Pumpkin Stamp Set and the smaller pumpkins from our Fall-ing for You Stamp Set. 

To create the fun night scene she cut black grass using our Land Borders Die Set and trees using our Forest Scene Builder Die Set. She added the spiderweb and spider from the Newton's Perfect Pumpkin Stamp Set. She inked a night sky and added the bats and moon from our Newton's Boo-tiful Night Stamp Set.  She finished the scene by added the "Happy Halloween" Stamp Set from our Creepy Cameos Stamp Set.

Thankful Card by Larissa Heskett

Be Thankful Fall Card

Happy Friday! Today we are sharing this gorgeous Fall card by Larissa! To create this card Larissa die-cut all those pretty leaves in different colors using our Autumn Leaves Die Set. She added some fun distressing and ink splatters on them which makes them look so cool - like real leaves that have been outside for awhile! Then she created an awesome background pattern using the sentiment and little stamps from the Fall-ing for You Stamp Set. She also did some distress inking on that background pattern. What a fun way to created your own patterned paper! To finish off this lovely card she added the "be thankful" sentiment from the Autumn Newton Stamp Set! What a beautiful card to send to someone this Fall!

Trick or Treat Kitty Card by Juliana Michaels

Trick or Treat! 

Today we have an fun Halloween card by Juliana using the cute kitty wearing the witch hat from our Newton's Costume Party Stamp Set! She colored a fun shade of orange for Halloween and cut the kitty and hat out using the coordinating Newton's Costume Party Die Set. Then she added in the cute duo of pumpkins from the Fall-ing for You Stamp Set and added them next to the kitty with the "trick or treat" sentiment from the Newton's Costume Party Stamp Set! The fun spiderweb background gives the perfect touch for Halloween fun too!

Halloween Princess Card by Maria Russell

Happy Halloween Kitty Princess by Maria!

On this sweet Halloween card Maria uses several of our Halloween themed stamp sets to create a wonderful spooky scene!  She dressed the kitty in a princess costume using the wings and princess crown from the NEW Newton's Costume Party Stamp Set. She colored the cute kitty and trimmed out the images using the coordinating Newton's Costume Party Die Set. The cute clusters of grey pumpkins were created using the pumpkin image from the Fall-ing for You Stamp Set. She added the kitty and pumpkins to this adorable card with a gorgeous inked background. She added black hills using the Land Borders Die Set and embossed the "Happy Halloween" sentiment from the Creepy Cameos Stamp Set in the lower corner! So cute! She even added a little spider from the  Newton's Perfect Pumpkin Stamp Set, making his way down from the lantern!

Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

Today I'm playing along with the FALL 2017 Coffee Lovers Blog hop!

Here's what I created:

We have two coffee themed sets that I really love (Newton Loves Coffee and Fall-ing for You)and I couldn't decide which one to use for our post today so I decided to use them both together, along with our NEW Falling Leaves Stencil!  I started out by creating a background with the Falling Leaves Stencil. I love how the leaves change in size from top to bottom and decided to ink over them with fall colors to give an ombré effect from red to yellow! 

Next, I stamped the big sentiment from the Fall-ing for You Stamp Set stamp set onto vellum and embossed it. Then I stamped the kitty with the coffee mug from the Newton Loves Coffee Stamp Set and cut him out withe the coordinating Newton Loves Coffee Die Set. I decided I needed a second mug so I stamped the mug from the Fall-ing for You Stamp Set and colored it to go next to him. This set doesn't have a coordinating die set but it was pretty simple to fussy cut out the mug. 

I put all the pieces together and added a couple little strips of washi tape to help hold down the vellum panel. I really love how this turned out and how great these images look together!  I also had a ton of fun creating it!

Newton's Nook Designs & Chibitronics Inspiration Week - Day 3 with Ellen and Naki

 First up we have this adorable Halloween project by Ellen:

Ellen used the Chibitronics Starter Kit along with several NND stamp sets to create this adorable Halloween project! She used the fun big sentiment from the Fall-ing For You Stamp Set embossed in orange  along with some fun distress inks for her background. Then she added on the cute little pumpkin from the Pick-a-Pumpkin Stamp Set with a jack-o-lantern face trimmed out using the Pick-a-Pumpkin Die Set! The inside of the face lights up when you press on the card! So cool! She even added in a sweet black cat silhouette using the kitty from our Furr-ever Friends Stamp set!

Our second project today is pretty Paris scene by Naki:

Naki created this lovely Paris scene using our Newton Dreams of Paris Stamp Set along with the Chibitronics Starter Kit! She started by stamping the Eiffel Tower and creating beautiful background created with distress inks. Then she added the kitty in the hot air balloon, also from the Newton Dreams of Paris Stamp Set  floating over the sky. She configured her chibi lights so that when you press on the card front the  Eiffel Tower lights up! WOW! So dreamy!
