Beary Merry Christmas Card by Samantha Mann

Bear Christmas Card by Samantha Mann | Winston's Home for Christmas Stamp Set and Ornaments Stencil by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Beary Merry Christmas!

It's never too early to start working on those holiday cards! Today we have some fun holiday inspiration by Samantha featuring the adorable Winston's Home for Christmas Stamp Set. This design is part of our Retiring Products Sale right now, so if you like this adorable image, make sure to pop over to our shop and get it before it's gone for good!

For her beary sweet holiday card, Samantha colored the image of our bear, Winston, driving a car laden with holiday goodies. She then fussy cut the image out by hand to layer it onto her card. For her card base, she created a gorgeous snowy scene. To create the snowy sky, she masked off part of the card at a diagonal and then added distress inks to the top along with white acrylic ink splatters. She also added to the festive feeling by adding ornaments to the sky using our Ornaments Stencil (also retiring) with white embossing paste. So beautiful!

Here's what I created:
2020 Cat Lovers Blog Hop | Card by Jennifer Jackson | A Kitten Christmas Stamp Set and Ornaments Stencil by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

We JUST had our Holiday release last Friday and so I wanted to share a card I created using our brand new A Kitten Chistmas Stamp Set

If you are new to us you might not know that our business is a husband and wife team (Jeff and I) and I am also the illustrator of all of our designs. Our company was named after our orange kitty, Newton, who passed away last fall. This spring we adopted two new adorable kittens, Toulouse and Marlowe, who are now just six months old. This new kitten stamp set is inspired by them!

I also colored the kittens on this card on our new little ones! I colored the image of the kitten in the oversized Santa hat to look like Toulouse and the kitten playing with the dangling Christmas ornament to look like Marlowe. I used Inktense watercolor pencils to color them.

Here is a close-up so you can see the coloring.

After they were colored, I cut the images out with the coordinating A Kitten Christmas Die Set so they could layer onto my card. For the card background I created more ornaments for those kitties to chase using our Ornaments Stencil. I carefully masked off the ornaments so that I could ink them in different colors. I'll admit, it took me a couple of tries to get it to look how I wanted but I'm happy with how it turned out!

Then I added a couple of snowy hills, using our Land Borders Die Set across the bottom. The sentiment "Meowy Christmas" is also from the new A Kitten Chistmas Stamp Set

I know it's going to be an interesting Christmas this year with these two mischievous little ones around! I hope you enjoyed this project today! I had so much fun making it!

Here's a photo of Toulouse and Marlowe, attempting to both fit in their favorite cozy perch. These little kittens are growing so fast!

Beautiful Christmas Card and Gift Bag by Larissa Heskett

Holiday card and Gift Bag Duo

Today Larissa created one amazing patterned background and used it on TWO projects! For the gorgeous background panel she used our Ornaments Stencil with various ink colors and textures.

First she created a card using this fun pattern:
Beautiful Christmas Card and Gift Bag by Larissa Heskett | Ornaments Stencil and Holiday Fringe Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

She used the pattern for the background, framing it with a scallop edged frame that was cut out from kraft colored cardstock using our Frames & Flags Die Set.  In the center she added the decorative stitched square shape from our Frames Squared Die Set. She added on some pine branches using our Pines & Holly Die Set. Over this she layered the sentiment "Making Spirits Bright" from our Holiday Fringe Stamp Set, stamping it into a little stitched circle that was die cut using our Frames Squared Die Set. She even added in a tiny red bird, die cut out using our Forest Scene Builder Die Set. So beautiful!

Next, she created a little gift bag:

Again, she used the pattern created with our Ornaments Stencil. This time she cut it into a tag using our Fancy Edges Tag Die Set. In the center of the tag she added the "happy holidays" sentiment from our Holiday Fringe Stamp Set, stamping it into a little stitched circle that was die cut using our Frames Squared Die Set. A big red bow finishes it off with a festive touch!

Thank you,  Larissa, for the amazing holiday card and tag today! To say hello to Larissa and see more of her creations, visit her over at her blog, Larissa Heskett Designs.

Deck the Halls with Inky Paws Blog Hop! Christmas Trimmings Card by Jennifer Jackson | Christmas Trimmings Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade
Today I created this fun Holiday card using the festive ladies working on Holiday preparations from our Christmas Trimmings Stamp Set. I colored both images using copic markers and used the coordinating Christmas Trimmings Die Set to cut them out. I also cut a white scalloped rectangle using our Frames & Flags Die Set. I added both ladies to this rectangle along with the sentiment.

For the fun background pattern I used our Ornaments Stencil with white embossing paste over a red paper. I love the color and texture this gives the card! Then I thought it needed a little more pop of color so I cut out a scalloped edge using our Sky Borders Die Set and some teal paper. I added this along the side and finished it off with some white bakers twine. And done! Easier than putting up Christmas decorations, right!?

Deck the Halls Card by November Guest Designer Amanda Wilcox

Welcome back everyone! This is my third post as a guest designer for Newton's Nook and the fun is just beginning. I love all of their products so much and have been planning this card out in my head since the last release in November. I hope you enjoy it!

Deck the Halls Card by November Guest Designer Amanda Wilcox | Christmas Trimmings Stamp Set, Gingham Stencil, and Ornaments Stencil by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

To make this card I die cut my backdrop from white cardstock and then used distress inks and the Gingham Stencil and Ornaments Stencil to create backgrounds for my too cute Christmas Trimmings girls. I trimmed some glitter cardstock down for ground and added that to each panel.

Next, I set to work on my images from Christmas Trimmings, using the stamps and coordinating dies. I colored them with copic markers and added white gel pen accents and then laid out my card to started assembling.

I stamped my sentiment in the upper right box and popped up my gifts and ornament with foam squares. I added glossy accents to the ornament and Wink of Stella glitter brush to the gift boxes.

I popped up my next 2 girls and added glossy accents to the wrapping paper dots, scissors, and tree star and ornaments. The glitter here went on her hair bow and the Santa hat.

For this last fun girl, I popped her up with foam squares and added glossy accents to the light bulbs and ornaments in the box. I glittered the bow in the decorations box too.

I had so much fun keeping the color palette for this card limited to blue and teal tones. I just love those colors and it was a fun spin for a non-traditional Christmas card.

I hope you enjoyed this and find a little inspiration to create something beautiful!

I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!
