In Love with Fall Card by Samantha Mann

In love with Fall Square Card by Samantha Mann | Fall Fringe Stamp Set and Frames Squared Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

We Love FALL most of ALL!

Do you love Fall as much as we do? Then you are sure to fall in love with this amazing Fall card by Samantha

This gorgeous Fall card features the square image filled with pumpkins and leaves all around the edge from our Fall Fringe Stamp Set. Samantha stamped this image, embossing it in white and then ink blended oranges and pinks over the top! Isn't pink such a fun and unexpected color for a Fall creation!?

She cut close to the edge of the square image using a paper trimmer. Then she cut a scalloped square shape from vellum using our Frames Squared Die Set and layered that behind it. She also used our Frames Squared Die Set for the white square card base.

The sentiment in the center, also from the Fall Fringe Stamp Set is stamped and embossed onto a circle of vellum. The circle was also die cut using our Frames Squared Die Set, which includes a small circle die!
She finishes the card by adding some gray twine and iridescent sequins! So pretty!

Fall Leaves and Pumpkin Please Card by Farhana Sarker

Fall Cat and Mug Card by Farhana Sarker | Newton's Mug Stamp Set, Fall Fringe Stamp Set, Falling Leaves Stencil and Frames & Flags Die Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

Pumpkins Please!

Today we are sharing an adorable fall kitty card by Farhana

For this beautiful fall creation she chose to color the image of the kitty in the mug from our Newton's Mug Stamp Set. She added a pumpkin to the center of the mug using the image from our Paw-tumn Newton Stamp Set. She colored image using bright teal and orange to really make it pop! The kitty peeking out the top of the mug looks adorable in gray tones. The image was cut out using the coordinating Newton's Mug Die Set

Here are the colors she used if you'd like to try them:

Next, she adde the sentiment from our Signs of Fall Stamp Set, embossed in gold onto a banner from our Frames & Flags Die Set. She tucked this behind the kitty image and added it to her card base.

For the card base, she dry embossed leaves onto a white card base using our Falling Leaves Stencil. Then, she embossed the big square image from our Fall Fringe Stamp Set in gold onto vellum and carefully cut out the square. She angled it onto her card and placed the kitty in the center of the square.

Fall Card Duo by October Guest Designer Farhana S

Happy Monday everyone! Hope y’all had a great weekend and lots of crafty time! Last week I shared a pair of gatefold cards that took a little time to put together and a longer list of products! So today, I made another pair of cards, this time only using stamps! And a little scrap pattern paper that was lying on my desk!

Fall Card Duo by October Guest Designer Farhana | Fall Fringe and Fall Roundabout Stamp Sets by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

I made these cards using my favourite technique of copic coloring on kraft card stock. I will recommend using a brown copic friendly ink instead of the go to black ink for a better finish.

Fall Card Duo by October Guest Designer Farhana | Fall Fringe and Fall Roundabout Stamp Sets by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

For the first card I used the Fall Roundabout Stamp Set, stamped twice off the two edges of an A2 piece of kraft paper. Then I colored in the images using copic markers, in fall colors. I stamped the sentiment form the same Fall Roundabout Stamp Set, using a brown ink and added a few sequins. To finish off the card, I trimmed it down, backed it with some matching pattern paper and adhered it to a A2 card base.

For the second card, I stamped the square image from the Fall Fringe Stamp Set at an angle and colored it in using copic markers. I stamped the sentiment in the center from the same set, trimmed it down, added some of the same pattern paper as the first card along with a few sequins before adhering it to a A2 card base.

I hope you are inspired by these no dies needed card! Fun fact way back when Newton’s Nook started, they didn’t have dies and I didn’t own a die cutting machine, so I used to do a LOT of fussy cutting!

Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a great week and see you back here next week! If you have any questions about these cards or need some inspiration for the Inky Paws Challenge please send me a message on Instagram, I’m @everydayengineered.

Fall Themed Gatefold Cards by October Guest Designer Farhana S.

Today we are welcoming our October Guest Designer, Farhana, from Everyday Engineered! We have been loving her projects created with our products for our Inky Paws Challenges and on instagram! Her beautiful cards with gorgeous color combos and lovely layouts have caught our eye and we can't wait to share what she creates using our products this month! Check back each Monday to see her creations! Keep reading to find out more about her today and to check out her first project below.

Hi there! I'm Farhana and I've been crafting for almost 10 years now! It's always been paper crafts, transitioning from scrapbooking to cardmarking. Newton's Nook Design stamps were some of my firsts from back in 2013, so there are many retired sets in my stash. Inky Paws card challenge was also the first challenge that I ever did! After break, I have the time to enjoy them again!

I'm a huge fan of florals and pumpkins, so I am beyond excited to be the guest designer for one of my favourite brands! Thank you Jen and Samantha for making a dream come true!

Happy Monday y’all! I’m so excited for today’s post as my dream to design for Newton’s Nook Designs has come true! I’ll be sharing every Monday in October, so please stop by to see what I have to share!

Fall Themed Gatefold Cards by October Guest Designer Farhana | Fall Fringe and Fall Roundabout Stamp Sets + Dies by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Today I’m sharing a pair of mini gatefold cards, I made using the Fall Fringe and Fall Roundabout Stamp Sets. The final card size is shy of 5 x 5 inches, but I said mini because the area to write a message is smaller than an A2 card.

Fall Gatefold Card by October Guest Designer Farhana | Fall Fringe Stamp Set and Frames Squared Die Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

I started by stamping both the images from the Fall Fringe and Fall Roundabout Stamp Sets on to heavyweight white cardstock with brown copic friendly ink. After coloring them (I used a ton of colors! I’ll list them at the end of the post!), I re-stamped the image using embossing ink, and heat embossed with gold (Remember not to move your stamp before embossing!). Then I die cut them using the Circle Frames and Frames Squares dies, and cut them in half with a paper trimmer.

Fall Gatefold Card by October Guest Designer Farhana | Fall Roundabout Stamp Set and Circle Frames Die Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

For the card base, I cut squares from the same heavyweight white cardstock and ink blended them lightly to match the colored images (I used scattered straw, dried marigold and shabby shutter distress oxide inks). Then I created the gatefold part of the card from 4 x 5 inch pieces of kraft card stock, scoring a half inch from each end. Lastly, before assembling the cards, I ink blended the same inks as the card base on to some scrap kraft cardstock, and embossed sentiments from the Fall Fringe Stamp Set, and cut them out using a smallest stitched circle from the Circle Frames Die Set dies.

Now, we can finally assemble the card! I started by adhering the cut colored images to the shorter flaps of the kraft gatefold card using double sided tape. For the circle card, I flipped it, do the center of the circle was adhered to the creased edge. Using some more double sided tape I adhered the gatefold card to the ink blended card base. Lastly for the sentiment I used a little foam tape and placed it in the center of the flaps.

I hope all that made sense! If not please feel free to send me a message on Instagram and I’ll be happy to help you out! And don’t forget about the Inky Paws Challenge, here’s the first card I made (you can make up to 3 cards!)

And, lastly! Here are the copic combos that I used : YR07-04-Y17, YR18-15-Y15, R89-27-24, YG67-17-03, G99-94-21, E79-37-33-YR04.

Thanks for stopping by and I’ll see you next week!

I Love Fall Most of All Card by September Guest Designer Stephanie Davis

Hello everyone! I'm so happy to be back guesting again with Newton's Nook!! Today I'm sharing a fall card inspired by the adorable Autumn Mice stamp set. My favorite way to make cards is to combine old and new stamp sets, it's so fun and I often can't help myself!

When I began creating this card, I found so many sets that went perfectly to build a wreath of fall mice. First, I cut out my card panel out of kraft cardstock using the Framed Square Die. Then I stamped multiple images from Autumn Mice, Garden Mice, Pumpkin Latte, and Harvest Tails onto masking paper and cut them out. Then began building my wreath and attached all of the masks with washi tape to a circle stencil. This made it simple to place each stamp before stamping with my MISTI. I stamped each image with a no line coloring ink pad. Then colored all of the images with Copic Markers, using the no line coloring technique. I after coloring with Copic markers, I love to add even more shadows and detail with colored pencils.

Then I stamped the sentiment from Fall Fringe with black ink in the center of the wreath. Lastly, I blended some Distress Ink in Aged Mahogany using the Falling Leaves Stencil. I thought the blended leaves looked so beautiful peeking behind the card panel. I adhered the card panel to the card base using foam squares to complete the card. I had so much fun coloring all of these adorable images, it truly was a labor of love!

I have a tutorial of this card on my YouTube channel, if you would like to see my process.

Hi crafty friends! My name is Stephanie Davis, aka The Gypsy Chic. I’m a wife and mom of three kids, and one yellow lab named Bella. We've moved over a dozen times all over the USA, from the west coast to the east coast. We are currently living in Charlotte, North Carolina. I discovered scrapbooking when my oldest was a baby with Close to my Heart, and I was hooked on paper crafting! Soon I discovered new stamp companies, and started a YouTube Channel to share and meet new crafty friends who love all brands. I love all coloring mediums, but I’m currently obsessed with watercolors! I also love to travel, draw and try out new art supplies. You can find me on Instagram and my Blog.

Hello crafty friends!   I'm so excited to be guest designer for Newton's Nook this month!
