Coffee + Holiday Cheer!

Today we are sharing a Christmas card that is perfect for sending to a coffee lover! This card features our Newton Loves Coffee Stamp Set, A2 Card Layout Die Set and Christmas Paper Pads. 

To start out, Donna created a beautiful holiday background using our A2 Card Layout Die Set. She chose several pretty patterns from our Christmas Time Paper Pad our and Meowy Christmas Paper Pad that she thought looked nice together. She used the die set multiple times with the papers so that she had all of the pieces in the different patterns. Then she assembled the pieces onto a red card base. 

Next she stamped the image of the kitty hugging a coffee from our Newton Loves Coffee Stamp Set. She colored the mug in red and green to match the background patterns and give it a holiday feel. She also added to the holiday theme by adding a Santa hat using our Christmas Puppies Stamp Set. The images were cut out using the coordinating Newton Loves Coffee Die Set and Christmas Puppies Die Set. 

She chose a sentiment from our Ornamental Wishes Stamp Set for the holiday cheer message, stamping it onto an oval that was cut out using our Oval Frames Die Set.

This coffee themed holiday card is also perfect for the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge! Newton's Nook Designs is featured on their challenge for the month of August and we hope you will join in the fun!

2025 Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

For our stop on the hop today I created a duo of cute coffee cards featuring Newton drinking coffee along with some of our fun die sets:

For my first card I used the kitty from our Newton Loves Coffee Stamp Set paired with our A Hug in a Mug and Filigree Frame Die Sets.

Isn't Newton so adorable with his arms around that to-go coffee!? I colored the kitty image using copic markers. I figured out my card layout first so I knew what color to make the coffee cup, matching it to the background paper. I also colored the kitty orange to look like Newton!

For the card layout I used our Filigree Oval Frame Die Set, cutting it from white cardstock to create the beautiful swirl filled frame. I layered this over a piece of sage green cardstock. Then I added the sentiment using our A Hug in a Mug Die Set. This set includes the words and a shadow die that is a little larger so you can layer them together. I cut the shadow layer out using a piece of yellow glitter paper from our Cheerful Brights Glitter Cardstock to add a bit of sparkle to the card. Then I mounted it all onto a dark chocolate colored card base. I love how this turned out! 

For my second card I again used the Newton Loves Coffee Stamp Set but this time I paired it with our Thanks a Latte, Basic Frames and Lattice Die Sets. 

On this card I used the image of Newton peeking over the table edge at a cup of coffee! So cute! I colored the image with copic markers. For my card layout I used our Lattice Die, cutting it out of pale yellow cardstock. I layered the lattice panel over some coffee bean patterned paper from our Coffee House Stories Paper Pad. 

For the message on this card I used our Thanks a Latte Die Set. This set also includes the word and shadow dies and this time I cut the words out of yellow glitter paper from our Cheerful Brights Glitter Cardstock. For the shadow I used dark teal paper. I layered the sentiment and the image of Newton onto a yellow banner that was cut out using our Basic Frames Die Set. 

I had so much fun creating these coffee cards. It's so easy to pair the stamped images with our fun dies!

A Birthday Brew for You Card by Larissa Heskett

A Cozy Birthday Brew!

A warm beverage is perfect for a cold weather birthday!  Today Larissa is sharing a cozy birthday brew using our Cup of Cocoa Stamp Set and Mugs Stencil.

This card features a duo of cozy mugs from our Cup of Cocoa Stamp Set. She colored them in shades of read and teal and cut them out with the coordinating Cup of Cocoa Die Set

The fun background was created using our Mugs Stencil with blue ink. Some red and black and red paint splatters were added to match the colors of the mugs. 

She assembled the card together, adding the sentiment "a birthday brew just for you" from the Newton Loves Coffee Stamp Set in a circle in the center. She framed the whole panel using the scallop edged frame from our Frames & Flags Die Set.

A Birthday Coffee!

Need a birthday card for a coffee lover? Larissa has created a coffee themed birthday card that would be perfect for anyone who enjoys a good brew. 

For this card she started out be stenciling a panel of coffee mugs using our Mugs Stencil. She framed this fun pattern with a dark teal scallop edged frame cut out using our Frames & Flags Die Set. Next she stamped the sentiment "a birthday brew for you" from our Newton Loves Coffee Stamp Set onto a circle that was cut out using our Circle Frames Die Set. She added a cute little red heart embellishment under the sentiment and then added some red and black ink splatters to the background to tie the colors together. This card was quick and easy to make too!

Here's what I created for our stop today:

This card features two of our favorite things: Coffee and Cats! I couldn't resist pulling out one of my favorite images of Newton hugging his coffee mug from our Newton Loves Coffee Stamp Set. I colored the image using watercolor markers, making the kitty orange and the mug minty green. If you don't know, our company was named after our orange kitty, Newton. Although we lost Newton in 2019, we still love to color orange kitties, just like him, and think of him often! I cut the image out using the coordinating Newton Loves Coffee Die Set. 

For the card base I started by cutting a dark brown scallop edged frame using our Frames & Flags Die Set. Then I layered three fun coffee themed papers from our Coffee House Stories Paper Pad inside the frame. This paper pad is one of my favorites too! There are so many fun coffee themed patterns in it, some with kitties too! For the sentiment I used "Have a BREW-tiful day!" from our Time for Coffee Stamp Set. I embossed it in white onto a banner that was die cut using our Banner Trio Die Set. I also stamped and colored the small polka dotted mug from the Time for Coffee Stamp Set and cut it out using the coordinating Time for Coffee Die Set. I added the Newton image and the coffee mug onto a vellum circle that was cut out using our Circle Frames Die Set. I like to add a bit of vellum between patterned paper and an image since it helps the image pop off a bit! 

Isn't this card a perfect way to send a hello to a coffee lover?  You could add a birthday message inside or simply use it for a friendly hello!

Coffee Card by January Guest Designer Peggy Emmerink-Moonen

Hi crafty friends! Peggy here with a card inspired by the cold weather outside. If you need a card for a coffee-lover, tea-fanatic or chocoholic, this is the idea you were looking for. The Newton Loves Coffee Stamp Set is perfect for this!

I wanted to make a shaped card that could fit a gift card, for example to spend at the recipient’s favorite coffeeshop or tea house. I searched online for a printable template of a coffee cup and found there are lots of free ones available. It’s a really fun and thrifty way to stretch your supplies.

I printed the template on some slightly sturdier paper and cut the pieces with my scissors. I used the templates to cut the coffee cup shaped base piece for my card from some white stamping cardstock. I cut the lid for my cup from some pink cardstock twice, so I would be able to layer them to create some dimension.

I cut the sleeve for the coffee cup twice, once from kraft cardstock with a hand-cut scalloped edge, and a slightly shorter one from patterned paper.

Next, I took the white base piece and chose three colors of ink suitable for solid stamping. I took out the two little cup stamps and the coffee beans from the Newton Loves Coffee Stamp Set. I stamped these small images all over my base piece and set it aside to dry.

I stamped Newton drinking from his cup also from the Newton Loves Coffee Stamp Set with alcohol marker friendly ink and colored with copics (E50 series for the cat). I stamped the sentiment ‘Coffee is always a good idea’ on some masking paper and fussy cut around it. I stuck the mask to a piece of white stamping card and stamped two of the cup stamps and the coffee beans around the sentiment. I removed the mask and stamped the sentiment in the middle with some coffee colored ink. I colored the images with the copic BV00 and RV10 series. I fussy cut around my handmade sentiment piece.

I used some Distress inks to give dimension to all the separate pieces of the cup. Now it was time to put together the card. I used a combination of liquid glue and foam tape to adhere the pieces. Before attaching the patterned paper cup sleeve, I wrapped some baker’s twine around it and tied a bow. I fastened the sentiment piece over top. As a finishing touch I used a white gel pen and some glossy accents.
