Inspirational Butterfly card!

Today we are sharing a beautiful butterfly card by Samantha. 

This card features:

Heartfelt Butterflies Stamp Set
Butterflies Stencil Set
A7 Frames & Banners Die Set
Heart Frames Die Set
Frames Squared Die Set

Tree Rings Stencil

She started out by stamping the big heart filled with butterflies from our Heartfelt Butterflies Stamp Set. She embossed the image in white and inked over it with shades of purple ink. She then hand cut it out, using the edges of the butterflies as a guide. Next, she cut out a heart from vellum paper using our Heart Frames Die Set. The butterfly image is designed to fit perfectly inside the scallop edged heart. So beautiful! 

Next, she created the backgrounds. She started with a square brown card base and added texture to that using our Tree Rings Stencil with brown ink. She created a second background layer with bold butterflies. She first inked the paper in shades of green. Then she stenciled the bold butterflies using our Butterflies Stencil Set with a glossy texture paste. She cut this out into a scalloped square using our Frames Squared Die Set. 

Last, she assembled all the layers together and added the "time to soar" message into the center of the heart. She cut out the curved banner using our A7 Frames & Banners Die Set and embossed the message onto the banner. 

Samantha is planning on using this as a graduation card. The butterfly theme and soaring message will work perfectly to inspire a graduate!

Christmas Cactus Card by Samantha Mann

Christmas Cactus!

Have you thought about making holiday cards yet? It's never too early to start and today we are sharing a Christmas card by Samantha featuring our Christmas Cactus Stamp Set and Lattice Die Set to get the inspiration started!

To create this card Samantha stamped the lovely cactus blooms from our Christmas Cactus Stamp Set multiple times. She colored all the blooms in shades of pink using watercolor markers. She added white highlights with a white gel pen to the petals and cut out all the blooms using the coordinating Christmas Cactus Die Set. 

For her card base she stenciled a white piece of cardstock using a light gray ink with our Tree Rings Stencil. Then she took that panel and cut it out using our Lattice Die Set. What a fun way to give the die cut texture! She stenciled another piece of white cardstock using our Petite Snow Stencil with white texture paste to give a subtle texture. She cut the snowy panel to fit her card front and then layered the die cut lattice over the top. She then layered all those cactus blooms along the right side, overlapping them to create a beautiful edge. 

Last she added the sentiment, stamped and embossed in white onto a black banner. The banner was die cut using our Banner Duo Die Set. She also added a few iridescent sequins around the blooms for a little bit of sparkle.

Postage Stamp Inspired Card by Ellen Haxelmans

Butterfly Postage Stamps

Today we are sharing a beautiful cad by Ellen, inspired by postage stamps!

She started by cutting out three of the small postage stamp shaped rectangles using our Framework Die Set. She masked off the outer edges and inked the inside areas using various distress inks and added a different pattern to each one using our Tree Rings Stencil, Trailing Leaves Stencil and Petite Paw Prints Stencil. 

She added a postage watermark onto each stamp using our Hare Mail Stamp Set (retiring). Then, she cut out butterflies to match the colors of ink using the butterfly shape from our Slimline Frames & Portholes Die Set. She adhered these to each rectangle and added a gemstone the center of each one. 

For her card base she choose a pretty purple floral paper from our Spring Blooms Paper Pad. 

What a beautiful idea and a fun way to send some postage themed happy mail!

I 🧡 Fall Card by Zsofia Molnar

I 🧡 Fall!

We hope you will fall in love with this amazing fall card by Zsofia today! She used several fun products together to create this stunning fall card. First, she created a gorgeous glittery background using our Tree Rings Stencil with some glittery texture paste over a kraft colored card base. She added some ink around the four corners to help the image pop. Next she cut out a bunch of pumpkins, leaves and the "I heart fall" using our Fall Friends Die Set and a stitched circle using our Circle Frames Die Set. She layered all these fun die cuts together, placing the pumpkins and leaves peeking out from behind the edge of the circle. For the sentiment she added it into the center of the circle and added some gloss over the top! This whole piece fit perfectly over the center of the stenciled tee ring background! So cool! 

All those textures look so amazing together and create a gorgeous fall card!

Missing You Card by Ellen Haxelmans

Missing You...

Today Ellen has created a gorgeous fall card using a spring floral stamp! The wonderful thing about our Easter Lily Stamp Set, is that you can use it way beyond spring, just by changing the colors of the blooms. For this card Ellen colored the flowers in autumn shades of yellow and orange. She used the coordinating Easter Lily Die Set to cut the image out to layer onto her card.



For the card base she created a fun background pattern by using our Tree Rings Stencil and Banner Trio Die Set (see details below). She layered this over a scallop edged panel that was cut out with our Frames & Flags Die Set. The finishing touch is the sentiment "missing you" from our Heartfelt Essentials Stamp Set, added onto a lime green banner, also cut out using our Banner Trio Die Set. 

Tips on creating this card

Below we have some tips from Ellen on how this card was created:

1. (left photo) First I die cut out 5 banners using the Banner Trio Die Set and placed them evenly on purple tape. Next I blended brown distress ink on top. After that I placed the Tree Rings Stencil over the banners and blended the same colors through the stencil.
2. (center photo) It's easy to stretch flower stamps by using season themed colors. I colored the lily from the Easter Lily Stamp Set with Zig markers. Orange lilies are perfect for a fall card!
3. (right photo) As last step the text from the Heartfelt Essentials Stamp Set was white heat embossed on a banner from Banner Trio Die Set.

Retiring Products Feature Week - Day 2 - Amanda & Zsofia

Amanda created this delightful raccoon card using our retiring Raccoon Rascals Stamp Set:

The two raccoons on this card by Amanda are so cute and playful together! She used the retiring Raccoon Rascals Stamp Set, stamping the images of the raccoon in a trash can and the one hanging from a tree branch.  She colored the image in lovely neutral tones, adding in white gel pen accents. The images were cut out using the Raccoon Rascals Die Set (also retiring) and added to her card. For the card, she used our Tree Rings Stencil to create a fun layer of textured wood. This panel was also cut out using our Framework Die Set to give it a fun postage edge. She also added the sentiment "Wanna grab lunch" from the Raccoon Rascals Stamp Set, embossed onto a purple banner that was cut out using our Frames & Flags Die Set.

  Zsofia couldn't choose which fun retiring product to feature today so she created two fun projects! 

For her first project, Zsofia created a sweet square card using the adorable hedgehog friends from our retiring Hedgehog Hollow Stamp Set. She stamped the two cute hedgehogs, mushroom and ladybug and colored them with alcohol markers. She used the Hedgehog Hollow Die Set, also retiring, to cut the images out and added them to a fun summer scene. For the scene, she used our Frames Squared Die Set to create a scallop edged square and added grass using our Land Borders Die Set along the bottom edge. In the sky she added the sun and clouds using our Sky Scene Builders Die Set. What a perfect card for sending a cherry hello!

Next, Zsofia used our retiring Wedding Frills Stamp Set to create a gorgeous wedding card! She embossed the lovely medallion image with rose gold embossing powder and added the "happily ever after" in the center. For the background, she embossed the lacy floral stamp from the same set, and added soft pink ink and splatters over the top! Don't forget to purchase the coordinating Wedding Frills Die Set too!

Newton's Nook Designs & Wow Embossing Powder Inspiration Week - Day 1 with Samantha & Maria

Newton's Nook Designs and WOW! embossing powders are collaborating all week long to offer you inspiration using their products together! Both design teams will be sharing fun ways to use embossing powders on your projects using WOW!embossing powders paired with Newton's Nook Designs stamps! 

Today we are featuring projects by Samantha and Maria! 

First up we are sharing two amazing cards by Samantha: 

 

On her first card Samantha created a gorgeous floral card. She used the flower images from our Peony Blooms Stamp Set, embossing them using Primary Purple Orchid embossing powder from WOW!. She also stamped the leaves and stems from the Peony Blooms Stamp Set, using the Under the Sea embossing powder from WOW!. The images were colored with watercolor markers and cut out using the coordinating Peony Blooms Die Set. For the background she used clear embossing paste with our Tree Rings Stencil and then added Vintage Champagne embossing powder over the top. So lovely! The scalloped edge was die cut using our Frames & Flags Die Set. 

Next, Samantha created a this gorgeous christmas card! She used our Evergreens Stencil and applied ink using an embossing ink pad over the stencil. Then she embossed the trees using embossing powder from WOW! in the colors Primary Purple Orchid, Earthtone Pepper, and Vintage Champagne. She added in a bit of ink blending using distress inks to fill in any gaps of color. She also added the sentiment using our Sentiments of the Season Stamp Set on a piece of vellum. She hand cut it out to add to the card. What a beautiful nature scene!

 Next, we have gorgeous Fall card by Maria:

For her card Maria started by die cutting a bunch of leaves from colored papers and vellum using our Autumn Leaves Die Set. She also added in a couple of pine boughs and a teal bow using our Pines & Holly Die Set. She clustered the leaves together in the corner of her card. Inside the frame she added a teal background with distress inks. Then she embossed the sentiment from our Fall-ing for You Stamp Set, embossing it using White Puff embossing powder from WOW!.

Newton's Nook Designs & Therm O Web Inspiration Week - Day 2 with Zsofia & Holly

This week Newton's Nook Designs and Therm O Web are partnering for a fabulous inspiration week! All week long both design teams will be sharing ways to add fun foils and more to your cards using Therm O Web products with Newton's Nook Designs stamps! There are prizes too! Read all the way to the end of this post to find out how you can win! 

Today we are featuring projects by Zsofia and Holly! 

First, we have several fun projects created by Zsofia: 

On her frist card Zsofia features that cute kitty peeking out of the pumpkin from our Newton's Boo-tiful Night Stamp Set. She colored the kitty and pumpkins in traditional Halloween colors and cut the image out using the coordinating Newton's Boo-tiful Night Die Set. For the background she created a flocked texture using our Tree Rings Stencil. She used the stencil with Deco Foil Transfer Gel from Them O Web. Once the gel was dry, she added the flock using Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets in White Latte from Therm O Web with a laminator. The sentiment on the banner was stamped from our Newton's Pumpkin Patch Stamp Set.

On her second card, Zsofia used the Newton's Boo-tiful Stamp Set again, this time choosing the image of the kitty on the broom. She colored the kitty image and fussy cut it out to add to her card.  For the sky, she used our Flying Bats Stencil, again with the Deco Foil Transfer Gel from Therm O Web This time she used the Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets in Black Velvet.  She used blue and purple distress ink to created the background sky. She also used our Frameworks Die Set for the postage edge frame and our Frames & Flags Die Set for the banner that holds the sentiment. Such a fun Halloween sky! 

 For this card, Zsofia switched to the Christmas theme and she featured the sloth from our Slothy Christmas Stamp Set. She used the coordinating Slothy Christmas Die Set to cut the image out. She paired this cute image with some sparkle using Therm O Web products. She used the  Gina K. Designs Fancy Foils 6x8 in Passionate Pink  along with the Gina K. Designs Foil-Mates Backgrounds - Stars & Stripes to create that lovely striped background. She also used our Frames & Flags Die Set for the scalloped die cut edge and the rounded rectangle cut from vellum. She finished it off with some pine boughs using our Pines & Holly Die Set and a glitter sentiment, die cut using our Holiday Greetings Die Set.

 Zsofia was having so much fun creating, she decided to create a winter card too! This lovely card features the cute fox friends from our Fox Hollow Stamp Set.  She colored the foxes and several trees using soft wintery colors and cut them out using the coordinating Fox Hollow Die Set. To create a scene for them she used our Land Borders Die Set along with the Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets - White Latte from Therm O Web to create a fuzzy white hill. For the snowy background she paired our Petite Snow Stencil with the Gina K. Designs Glitz Glitter Gel  in White  from Therm O Web. So pretty! She also used our Frames & Flags Die Set for the scalloped edge on the frame.

 Next, we have a Halloween card by Holly:

To create this adorable Hallowee scene, Holly used those cute kitties playing in the pumpkin patch from our Newton's Boo-tiful Night Stamp Set. She colored them so they all matched with similar brown and orange markings. For her card she fussy cut them out by hand but you could also use the coordinating Newton's Boo-tiful Night Die Set. To create her scene she used our Clouds Stencil to create layers of purple clouds in the background. Then she added stars over the top using Gina K. Designs Glitz Glitter Gel in White from Therm O Web along with our Cascading Stars Stencil. Along the bottom of the card she created a fun textured ground using Deco Foil Metallix Gel in Black Ice from Therm O Web. She finished her card out with the sentiments from the Newton's Boo-tiful Night Stamp Set over the top. She also used the Memory Tape Runner XL from Therm O Web to adhere it all together.

This gorgeous square card by Maria will get you in the mood for Fall colors! She used the square image from our new Fall Fringe Stamp Set, coloring it in vibrant Fall hues. Then she added the sentiment in the center. She framed it with a gorgeous purple edge and a scallop square that was cut out using our Frames Squared Die Set too. 

Zsofia created this beautiful card featuring the square image from the new Fall Fringe Stamp Set. She colored the image in gorgeous Fall colors, adding blue to the center to really make them pop! She framed the image with neutral tones and used our Frames Squared Die Set for the scalloped edge. She added it to a standard sized card, adding some argyle patterned paper in the background.

This stunning card by Amanda practically glows with all the beauty of Autumn! She colored the image from our Fall Fringe Stamp set in gorgeous vibrant shades, giving the leaving and pumpkins amazing highlights! She cute them image out along the edge and added it to her card along with some sweet gingham patterned paper and a fun fall ribbon too! 

Samantha changed things up and created a card featuring pumpkins and leaves in shades of purple! What an amazing idea! She added the sentiment to the center and then cut the image out along the edge. She added it to her card, layering it over a woodgrain textured background that was created using our Tree Rings Stencil with embossing paste.

This lovely card by Holly will definitely put you in the mood for all of Autumn's colors! She did some gorgeous coloring on the image from our Fall Fringe Stamp Set, featuring Fall colors with pops of dark teal. She cut the image out along the edge and added it to her card, layering it over fun patterned papers. 

Naki embossed the image from the Fall Fringe Stamp Set in with metallic embossing powder and then colored it fun soft shades or oranges, browns and greens, adding a little pop of purple too! She layered it over a panel of shiny foil paper to give it even more sparkle! 

If you love this image but don't want the work of coloring it in, this idea from Larissa is perfect for you! Larissa used the image from our Fall Fringe Stamp Set and embossed it in black over a fun patterned paper background! What a fun way to create a quick and easy, yet gorgeous card! She also used our Frames Squared Die Set for the square scalloped edge and for the stitched circled in the center. So cool! 

This card by Tatiana shows you another creative way to use a big image. She colored the image from the Fall Fringe Stamp Set with copic markers and then cut it into smaller squares. She mounted the squares to her card, leaving just a little space between them to give a fun tiled effect. What a fun technique! She also used our Tree Rings Stencil on the background panel and some paint splatters to give it texture! 

The big image from our Fall Fringe stamp set looks so amazing stamped and colored on kraft cardstock too! Ellen created this exquisite card, coloring the images in lovely Fall colors with pops of blue and purple too! She used our Frames Squared Die Set to give the image a scalloped edge and for the purple stitched panel behind it too. 

Last but not least is this incredible shaker card by Andrea! She started with the big image from the Fall Fringe StampSet and colored in in fun bright fall colors. Then she made it into a fun shaker card, using our Frames Squared Die Set to create the frame. She added the sentiment to the center and some plaid paper behind it, both also cut out using the Frames Squared Die Set. What fun!
