Happy MEOWR with Newton!

Today we are headed out to the beach to share a fun drink with Newton on this fun summer card by Diane! 

For this card Diane features the cute image of the kitty with the fishbowl drink from our Newton's Happy Meowr Stamp Set. She colored the image in fun bright summer colors with alcohol markers and cut it out using the coordinating Newton's Happy Meowr Die Set. She also stamped and colored the fun little seashell images that are included in this set to add to her beach scene. 

To create a fun beach scene for Newton, She used our Sunscape Stencil with orange ink over a yellow cardstock panel to create a sunny sky. Then she used our Sea Borders Die Set to cut a curved border of sand to go across the bottom of her scene. She used our Frames Squared Die Set to create a scalloped square for her card base and cut the layers to fit onto the front. So fun! 

The finishing detail is the sentiment "It's happy MEOWR somewhere!" stamped onto a banner that was cut out using our Banner Duo Die Set.

So Mush Fun Card by Samantha Mann

So MUSH fun!

Today we are sharing a bright and cheerful mushroom themed card by Samantha!

To create this adorable card she combined the image of the gnome sitting on the mushroom from our Gnome Garden Stamp Set with a bunch of mushrooms and the sentiment from our Fabulous Fungus Stamp Set. She colored all the images in warm hues of red and yellow and die cut the images out using the coordinating Gnome Garden Die Set and Fabulous Fungus Die Set. She also added little highlights onto images using a white gel pen. 

Next, she added a beautiful sky onto her background panel using two of our scene building stencils. She started by adding blue inks to the light rays on our Sunscape Stencil. Then she used texture paste to create fun thick clouds using our Cloudy Sky Stencil. Doesn't that look incredible? She then added all the mushrooms and gnome image at the bottom edge of the stenciling to complete the scene. 

This card is perfect for sending fun wishes anytime of year!

Turtle-y Awesome Card by Samantha Mann

Turtle-y Awesome!

This awesome underwater card created by Samantha is turtle-y awesome!

To create this beautiful card she started coloring a trio of turtles that she stamped using our Tides of Love Stamp Set. This set is perfect for Valentine cards since all the under sea creatures have hearts in their designs, but today Samantha uses just the turtles to create a fun card that could be sent any time of year! the cute colored turtles were cut out using the coordinating Tides of Love Die Set before she added them to the card. 

For the card, she created an underwater scene for the turtles to swim in. She ink blended a background with blue on top and brown on bottom to represent an underwater scene. Water and paint splatters along the bottom help it look like sand. Then she used our Sunscape Stencil some white texture paste to create rays of light! She cut the panel out using our Frames & Flags Die Set to give it fun scalloped edge and then added on the trio of turtles! Doesn't it look amazing? She added the sentiment, embossed in white on a black banner (also cut out using the Frames & Flags Die Set). A few water droplet embellishments give this card a perfect finishing touch!

Loving Whale Card by Samantha Mann

I WHALE always Love You!

Now that the holidays are over, we're starting to think about Valentine's Day! Today we have an adorable sea themed card filled with love by Samantha to share.

She started out by colored the whale and three fish from our Tides of Love Stamp Set. Isn't it cool how she added rainbows to the fish fins and the belly of the whale? She also gave the fish adorable pink cheeks and added white accents with a gel pen! She cut these cute fishy friends out using the coordinating Tides of Love Die Set.

Next, she created a underwater scene for the the fish. She used distress inks to create the water, adding lots of water and ink droplets for texture. Then she used our Sunscape Stencil with glitter paste to create rays of light coming down from the edge of the card! So pretty! She added the sentiment, "I whale always love you!" from our Tides of Love Stamp Set. She embossed the sentiment in white on black cardstock and fussy cut it out by hand.  For an extra bit of sparkle some sequins were added as a finishing touch! 

This gorgeous sea themed card is perfect for sending on Valentine's Day, or any time of year to let someone know you care!

Birthday BBQ Card by Ellen Haxelmans

Birthday BBQ!

Today Ellen is sharing how to celebrate a birthday with fun BBQ! This unique birthday greeting is sure to make the recipient smile! 

For this food filled birthday card, Ellen looked through all of her stamps with food themes and chose a fun combination of images. She stamped and colored the grill, burger, hot dog and grilling tool from the Dad’s BBQ Stamp Set, cutting them out with the coordinating Dad’s BBQ Die Set. Then She added in the kitty with the full belly and the turkey leg from our Newton’s Thanksgiving Stamp Set, cutting those images out with their coordinating Newton’s Thanksgiving Die Set as well. She added a chefs hat to the kitty, stamping it from the Newton’s Kitchen Stamp Set and cutting it out with the Newton’s Kitchen Die Set. What a fun pairing of food themed goodies! 

For her card base she created a square card and layered a green rounded corner square and red scalloped square onto the card using our Frames Squared Die Set. Inside the smaller square she created her scene, adding hills  and grass using our Land Borders Die Set. She also added fun rays to the sky using the Sunscape Stencil with blue ink.  

To make this into a birthday card, she added "Happy Birthday" from the Dad’s BBQ Stamp Set, embossing it in white onto a red banner that was cut out using the little banner from the A7 Frames & Banners Die Set. You can make almost any card into a birthday card just by adding a birthday sentiment!

SEA you at the Beach Card by Maria Russell

SEA you at the Beach!

Today are heading to the beach with Maria on this gorgeous summer card!  

To create this amazing scene, Maria combing a bunch of our scene building products! She started by stenciling a sun using our Sunscape Stencil. Then she cut out the stenciled image using our Oval Frames Die Set to create a fun oval shaped scene. To add to the scene she cut out two layers of waves using our Sea Borders Die Set. She cut these out a second time using the  Oval Frames Die Set so they could nest along the bottom of the oval scene. so cool! 

This scene is the perfect setting for the girl carrying a seashell from our Summer Moments Stamp Set. She stamped and colored the image, giving the girl a yellow sundress to match the sunset. The image was cut out using the Summer Moments Die Set and placed in front of the sunny yellow scene. 

She also created a sandy shore for the girl to walk across using our Land Borders Die Set. She added to the sandy effect by coloring the sand with lots of speckles. The whole scene is framed with a scalloped edge that was die cut using our Frames & Flags Die Set.

Overload of Thanks Card by Samantha Mann

 

Overload of Thanks! 

Beep! Boop! This robot card by Samantha is definitely a unique way to say thank you! 

For this card she features the cute robot and and his robot cat from the Love Bots Stamp Set. She colored them in gray but added fun rainbow colored accent areas on their arms and legs! Plus, pink cheeks to add to the cuteness! She used the coordinating Love Bots Die Set to cut the images out. 

For the card base she used distress inks to add a blue toned sky and then added rays using our Sunscape Stencil with some glittery texture paste. She then layered the robots and a bitmap heart in front of the rays. How fun! The finishing touch is the sentiment "overload of thanks" which was embossed in white on a banner that was die cut using the banner die from our A7 Frames & Banners Die Set. And, of course, a bit of washi tape up the left side of the card adds a fun patterned detail! 

Isn't it incredible how just a little bit of rainbow color and sparkle bring so much fun to this card?

Meow-garitas Card by Tatiana Trafimovich

  

MEOW-garitas! 

Today we are sharing MEOW-garitas with Newton on this fun card by Tatiana!

For this card, She started with the image of the kitty with the margarita from our new Newton Loves Tacos Stamp Set. She colored the image, adding fun stripes to the fur and glitter to the edge of the glass to look like a salt garnish! She cut the image out using the coordinating Newton Loves Tacos Die Set. 

Next, she stamped a second margarita, this time using our Cocktail Mixer Stamp Set. She colored it to match the first margarita, again adding the sparkle for the edge of salt. This image was cut out using the coordinating Cocktail Mixer Die Set.

To add to the fun lime theme, she added big fruit slices using images our Lemon Twist Stamp Set. She colored the slices green instead of yellow to make them into limes! She cut these out using the coordinating Lemon Twist Die Set.

For her card base she created a fun lime green to pink gradient using distress inks and then added sun rays over the top using our Sunscape Stencil with glittery texture paste. She added all the fun images over the background and added a few sequins too. The sentiment "Let's get Meow-garitas!" from the Newton Loves Tacos Stamp Set is the purr-fect finishing touch!

Rainy Day Slimline Card by Samantha Mann

Brighten a Rainy Day with Cute Umbrellas! 

With spring comes rainy days but this card by Samantha will make any rainy day brighter!

For this incredible rainy day card she used those cute animal shaped umbrellas from our Umbrella Pals Stamp Set. She stamped and colored all those fun animal friends in a rainbow of run colors, using the coordinating Umbrella Pals Die Set to cut them out. 

For her card base, she chose to create a slimline layout and cut out a long scalloped panel using our Slimline Frames & Portholes Die Set. Over this panel she used two stencils to create a fun rainy day sky. Along the top half she used our Raindrops Stencil with black ink for a dark rainy sky.

Along the bottom half she used our Sunscape Stencil with yellow ink and glitter paste to create the beginning of a sunny sky sneaking through. Isn't that such a fun idea!? Those rainbow colored umbrellas over the top really pop off the background. She also embossed the sentiment "You make rainy days brighter" from the Umbrella Pals Stamp Set in white over the dark area.

I Love Fall Card by Maria Russell

We Love Fall!!

Do you love Fall as much as we do? If so, you will adore this fall card by Maria today! 

This fabulous card features the cute image of the dog and cat sitting together with fall décor from our  Fall Friends Stamp Set. She stamped the image onto her card and colored it with gorgeous fall colors, adding little dot details to the fur of the kitty and puppy! So cute!  

Next, she added a background of beams radiating out from behind the chair, using our Sunscape Stencil with light blue ink. This really brings your focus to the image and adds a wonderful pop of blue color too!

For the sentiment, she used the die cut words from our Fall Friends Die Set. Isn't it cool how this die coordinates with the image AND had extra pieces you can use? Along with the sentiment, there are also pumpkins and leaves you can use to dress up your cards!

It's my LAST post as a Guest Designer for Newton's Nook Designs this month. I have loved creating with all the goodies from one of my FAVORITE Companies! I hope you have enjoyed my designs! Blue Skies Ahead Card by Samantha Mann

Blue Skies Ahead!

Know someone who has been down or under the weather? This card by Samantha is sure to cheer anyone up! For this card she features two panda umbrellas from our Umbrella Pals Stamp Set. She colored the pandas in soft neutrals and added pretty pink cheeks and white gel pen accents! The images were cut out using the coordinating Umbrella Pals Die Set. 

For the card she created an amazing rainbow background using our Sunscape Stencil. She filled each sun ray with a different rainbow foil! So beautiful! Then she added blue inked areas between the rays with distress inks, adding lots of water and white ink splatters! Across the card top she added layers of clouds using our Sky Borders Die Set. The sentiment was embossed in white onto black cardstock and she fussy cut it out before adding it onto the cloudy sky.  

What a gorgeous and cheerful card! It's sure to brighten anyone's day!

Hey Gull Friend Card by Amanda Wilcox

Hey, Gull Friend!

This summer love the idea of sending out cards to friends, just to say hello!  Today we are featuring a fun summer card by Amanda that would be perfect for just that! 

Today she features a fun ocean scene featuring the gulls from our Gull Friends Stamp Set. These little birds are so adorable perched together near the sea. She colored the images and added gloss to their beaks and fee for a fun special finishing touch. The gull image was cut out using the coordinating Gull Friends Die Set to add to the scene. 

For ocean scene, she created a fun sunny sky using our Sunscape Stencil and added waves using our Sea Borders Die Set. Both panels were also cut out using our Framework Die Set to add a fun postage edge! A purple card base really makes the scene pop!

This card would definitely make the recipient smile!
