Lucky That You're my Friend! 

Today we are sharing an adorable St. Patricks Day card by Samantha that is filled with a rainbow of luck!

This sweet card features the kitty from our Newton's Pot of Gold Stamp Set. Isn't Newton so cute in his little top hat peeking behind the pot of gold? Sam colored the image using neutral colors with pops of gold and green. She also added pink cheeks to the kitty and a few white gel pen details. So cute! She fussy cut the image out by hand to add to her card. 

For her card, she started with a white card base and then layered on a gorgeous rainbow. To create the rainbow, she cut out a piece of paper using our Land Borders Die Set to give it fun curved edges and then she inked the rainbow colors over the top. She also added glittery stars using our Cascading Stars Stencil for a touch of sparkle! Then she assembled the card, putting Newton and his pot of gold at the foot of the rainbow. She embossed the sentiment in white onto black cardstock and hand cut it out to layer over the rainbow. So pretty!

What a wonderful way send special St. Patrick's Day wishes to a friend!

St. Patrick's Day Gold!

Today we are sharing an adorable St. Patrick's Day card created by Donna! 

For this fun creation she uses the adorable image of Newton peeking out from behind the pot of gold from our Newton's Pot of Gold Stamp Set. She colored the image and added some gold sparkle to it and gold sequins for the gold! How fun! She fussy cut the image out by hand to add to her scene. 

To set the scene, she used our Hills & Grass Stencil to add a layer of grass along the bottom of the card and inked the sky in blue. Then she cut thin strips of paper in rainbow colors and adhered them so that they are radiating out of the pot of gold. Clouds were also added to the sky using our Sky Scene Builder Die Set. 

We hope everyone is as lucky as Newton and finds a rainbow and pot of gold this St. Patrick's Day!

With St. Patrick's Day just around the corner, Samantha has created just the perfect card to celebrate! She stamped the cute kitty, dressed for the occasion in a green top hat, from our Newton's Pot of Gold Stamp Set. This cute image also features a pot of gold and a tiny shamrock in the kitty's paw! So cute! Sam fussy cut the image out by hand and layered it over a gorgeous rainbow background that was created using various distress inks and sprinkled with splashes of water. She also embossed the sentiment from the Newton's Pot of Gold Stamp Set onto black cardstock and fussy cut around it before layering it under the kitty. If you look closely, you can see that she even added some gold sequins around the pot of gold to mirror the gold coins and give it extra sparkle!

Newton's Nook Designs & Therm O Web Inspiration Week - Day 3 with Holly & Naki

Today is day three of our inspiration week with Newton's Nook Designs and Therm O Web! All week long both design teams will be sharing ways to add fun foils and more to your cards using Therm O Web products with Newton's Nook Designs stamps! There are prizes too! Read all the way to the end of this post to find out how you can win! 

Today we are featuring projects by Holly and Naki! 

First we have two lovely foiled cards by Holly:

For her first card, Holly used the new Clear Toner Sheets (Groovy) by Therm O Web to create the lovely background for her kitty card. She foiled the pattern on the clear sheet with Deco Foil in Gold Shattered Glass from Therm O Web and heat set it using a laminator. Doesn't it look like pretty wallpaper? She layered it over her card and the stamped the kitty from our Newton Loves Coffee Stamp Set. She colored the kitty and his mug using copic markers and then used the Deco Adhesive Pen over the dots on the coffee mug so that she could foil those to match the background! She drew in a wooden table texture using copic markers and added this piece to her card panel in front of the foiled background. She also used our Frames & Flags Die Set to cut out the scallop edged rectangle, stitched edge rectangle and little yellow banner.

For second card, Holly created a gorgeous sparkly Halloween scene! She used our Cloudy Sky Stencil and the Deco Foil Transfer Gel from Therm O Web. Once the transfer gel was dry, she added on pieces of Gina K Deco Foil in Silver Sparkle by Therm O Web and heat set it with a laminator! So pretty! Then she used distress inks over the foiled clouds to make a lovely purple sky. Once her background was created she stamped the cute image of the kitty on a broomstick from our Newton's Boo-tiful Night Stamp Set, colored it with copic markers and fussy cut it out to layer over the pretty background. She also added in the "whitch way to the candy" sentiment on a grey banner that she cut out using the little banner from our Frames & Flags Die Set.

Next we have an adorable St. Patrick's Day card by Naki:

For her card, Naki used several fun foiling techniques. She used the new Clear Toner Sheets (Groovy) by Therm O Web for the striped background. She foiled the pinstripe pattern on the clear sheet using Gina K Deco Foil in Gold Sequins from Therm O Web and a heat laminator. For the little hearts on the corner of the white panel she used our Tumbling Hearts Stencil with the Deco Foil Transfer Gel from Therm O Web. Once the transfer gel was dry, she added on pieces of Deco Foil by Therm O Web in various colors heat set it with a laminator! For the big gold "kisses" she die cut the letters and added the foil using the Foam Adhesive from Therm O Web with the Deco Foil. To give this card a St. Patrick's day feel she stamped the kitty from our Newton's Pot of Gold Stamp Set and colored him in tones of green and gold! Then she used the used the Deco Adhesive Pen to add gold foil to the gold in the pot and the buckle on the hat! She also used the word "lucky" from the Newton's Pot of Gold Stamp Set and fussy cut it to add onto her card.

Wow! What a bunch of fun ways to add sparkle to your card!

Lucky to Have You Interactive Card by Ellen Haxelmans

Do you ever decorate the inside of your cards? Today's project by Ellen might inspire you to think about how much fun the inside of cards can be! She started out with an adorable card front featuring the kitty in the mailbox from our  Newton's Happy Mail stamp set! She colored him so sweetly and trimmed out the image using the coordinating Newton's Happy Mail Die Set and then added the image into a pretty distress ink circle.

Then you open the card to find this amazing pop-up scene:

She created an awesome scene using a bunch of different stamp sets! She created hills and grass using our new Land Borders Die Set and a cloudy sky using the new Sky Borders die set! Then she added in the cute kitty holding the umbrella for his ducky friend from the new Newton's Rainy Day Stamp set. She also added in some trees from the Fox Hollow Stamp set and the fun little red bus in the back is from the Newton Dreams of London Stamp set. Then she finished it off with the "Lucky to have you" sentiment over the grass from the Newton's Pot of Gold stamp set! Wow! What a fun way to combine a ton of stamp sets to create a unique scene! It would be so fun to get this in the mail and open it up!

Happy St. Patricks Day Kitty by Jennifer Jackson

Lucky Cat!

Have you seen our adorable new little St. Patrick's Day stamp set yet?  Our Newton's Pot of Gold stamp set is so perfect for creating St. Patrick's Day and good luck cards! For this card I stamped the image of the kitty with the post of gold and colored it using Faber-Castell Polychromos colored pencils. These pencils are new to me so I'm still learning how to color with them but so far I'm liking them! 

After I had the image colored I used a scissor and fussy cut him out. Then I created a simple white kraft and white card base for the card.  I added some lime green and darker green washi tape and a flag cut from sparkly gold toned cardstock. Then I added the cut out image onto the card with some foam adhesive. To finish it I added the "Happy St. Patrick's Day" sentiment across the bottom, also from the Newton's Pot of Gold stamp set.

Ellen created such an adorable scene for the kitty and the pot of gold! The shamrock background is perfect to offset the adorable image in the center. She added in some grass too, using our new Land Borders Die set. 

Samantha used just the post of gold, trimming off the cat, to create this amazing card! I love the rays of gold coming from the corner!

The soft pastel colors on this card by Maria are so pretty! She used the image of the kitty and his pot of gold and and created a rainbow leading into it.  Isn't it fun how she added an adorable shamrock border too?

This shaker card by Tatiana is so fun! I love the bright yellow pot of gold and the peek of the shamrocks that are inside the card! She used our new Land Borders Die set to create the curved edge on the bottom of the card.

This adorable card is by Larissa! It's so cute how she colored the stripes on the kitty and added fun green plaid paper and bright green sequins!

This sweet and simple card by Juliana is perfect for St. Patricks Day! It's so cool how she curved the sentiment to fit on her circle! The good luck background is super fun too!

 Naki embossed the image of the kitty and his gold with gold embossing powder! She added a rainbow too and a fun shaker background!  What a fun combo of elements!

This simple card by Jennifer is so eye catching! I love how she kept the layout simple and added some fun sequin bling to the pot of gold! Genius! 

Amanda also created a shaker card with this set! I love rich greens and gold she used on her card! So perfect for St. Patricks Day!

This sweet card by Holly would be perfect to send for St. Patricks day! The plaid background and added shamrocks really go perfectly with the image! I love the added sparkle on the pot of gold too!
