Bark-ing Mad for Dog Themed Valentines!

Hello! Jen here today and I'm sharing some fun dog themed Valentine cards. 

For these cards I used the following dog themed products:

Dog Silhouettes Die Set

Love & Woofs Paper Pad

Say Woof Stamp Set

Woof Stencil

Petite Paw Prints Stencil

I thought it would be fun to combine the sentiments from our Say Woof Stamp Set with our Dog Silhouettes Die Set. For my first card I decided to do a dachshund theme. I cut out the little dachshund using the Dog Silhouettes Die Set and picked a paper with dachshunds from our Love & Woofs Paper Pad.

I  stenciled a piece of dark pink cardstock using our Woof Stencil with some white texture paste. When that was dry I grabbed our Fractured Card Layout Die and cut out the stenciled panel along with the cute dachshund paper. I also cut it out again with light pink and white cardstock for the frame and the center. Then I simply assembled all the pieces and stamped the sentiment from the Say Woof Stamp Set. 

 

For my next card I chose the labrador from our Dog Silhouettes Die Set for the main image, cutting it from black cardstock. Then I cut out a pieced of light pink cardstock to 4" x 5 1/4" and stenciled pink pawprints using our Petite Paw Prints Stencil.

To help make this card into a valentine theme I cut out several hearts using our Heart Frames Die Set using pink and gray cardstock. I added the sentiment from the Say Woof Stamp Set onto the largest heart, embossing it in white. Then I assembled the card, arranging all the hearts and the dog along the edge of the stenciled area. 

I was having fun stenciling so I created another card using our Woof Stencil. I stenciled the words in dark pink over a light pink cardstock. Then I took the same darker pink ink and lightly blended over the top to create the pink ombré effect. I cut this panel out using the large postage edged frame from the Framework Die Set. 

I cut out the cute little terrier dog from black cardstock using our Dog Silhouettes Die Set. Again, I wanted to add a heart and I cut out a big heart using the Heart Frames Die Set. I embossed the sentiment from the Say Woof Stamp Set onto the heart. I found a circle that the pup would fit into from our Circle Frame Die Set. I assembled the pieces over the stenciled background, added a vellum banner that was cut out using our Basic Frames Die Set.

For my last card I kept it super simple! I wanted to use our Card Layout 2 Die and I cut it out using light pink cardstock. Then I chose 3 different patterns from the Love & Woofs Paper Pad and cut those out using the same die. I inserted the die cut pieces back into the frame. 

I picked a sentiment from the Say Woof Stamp Set and stamped it onto a circle from the Circle Frames Die Set. Then I cut out two small hearts using the Heart Frames Die Set with a bright pink paper and added those to each side of the card. This card was so quick and easy to make!

I had a lot of fun finding ways to combine different papers and dies to create dog themed Valentine cards! I hope you are inspired to create some cards for the dog lovers in your life!

Love is in the Air Card by Diane Morales

For the Love of Coffee!

Today we have a sweet little card by Diane that is perfect for any coffee lover! This card features our adorable Love Café Stamp Set. 

Diane colored the duo of coffee mugs from the Love Café Stamp Set in using alcohol markers. She also stamped the little trios of coffee beans with brown ink. Then she cut the images out using the coordinating Love Café Die Set. 

For the background she used a light colored gray ink to cover the white panel with coffee mug images. Then she stamped the big sentiment on the top, embossing it in black.  She added some black paint splatters and then she cut the panel out using the scalloped rectangle from our Frames & Flags Die Set. She added the die cut mugs and coffee beans over the top to finish the card front. 

This sweet little card would be a great Valentine to send to a coffee lover! Or, with the colors she used, you could use it any time of year just to send a happy hello!

Snowman Thank You Card by Larissa Heskett

Snowy Thank You!

Today we are sharing an adorable snowy thank you card by Larissa featuring our Snowman Postage Sampler Stamp Set. 

To begin, Larissa used the cute little snowmen and snowflakes from the Snowman Postage Sampler Stamp Set to create a fun background. She stamped and embossed the snowmen all over the background and then used different colors of distress inks to stamp the snowflakes. 

Next, she cut out two hearts using our Heart Frames Die Set. One heart was cut from white paper and the other was cut using a blue polka dot from our Pastel Basics Paper Pad. She stamped and colored two more snowmen to put onto the center of the heart, cuttting them out using the coordinating Snowman Postage Sampler Die Set

She added a banner under the heart to hold the sentiment. The banner was cut out using our A7 Frames & Banners Die Set and the thank you sentiment was stamped using our Daffodils Stamp Set.

What a perfectly sweet snowy thank you!

Snowflake Shaker Card by Larissa Heskett

Snowy Shaker

Do you know someone who is getting buried in snow this week?  Today we have beautiful snowy card by Larissa that is perfect for sending well wishes on a snow day!

This card features our Falling Snow Toner Card Fronts along with our Snowfall and Essential Tags die sets.

To begin, Larissa used our the snowy toner background page from our Falling Snow Toner Card Fronts. She used a heat laminator to apply rainbow foil over the top to create a beautiful rainbow filled with snow!

Next, she created a shaker tag. She cut out a tag using our Essential Tags Die Set and then used our Snowfall Die Set to create a shaker window. She added a snowflake, also using our Snowfall Die Set onto the front of the window and then filled her shaker with glitter and tiny hearts and snowflakes. 

She added the sentiment "thinking of you" from our Orchids Stamp Set to the bottom of the tag. Then she added tons of pretty ribbons to the top of the tag and added it to her card, layering it over the snowy rainbow.  

We love the beautiful snowy rainbow on this card and the shaker makes it feel extra special!

Tons of Fun! Valentine Card by Diane Morales

TONS of Valentine Fun!

With February just around the corner it's time to get going on Valentine cards! Today we have a card by Diane featuring our Love Quarry Stamp Set that you are going to totally DIG! 

Our Love Quarry set is filled with adorable trucks hauling hearts and is perfect for Valentine greetings. For her card today Diane chose three of the trucks from the set along with the construction cones and hearts, stamping them and coloring them with alcohol markers. She cut the images out using the coordinating Love Quarry Die Set. 

To create the card she used our A2 Card Layout 2 Die. She cut it out several times using pink, white and kraft colored paper. Then she assembled all the pieces together, using the lower pink square to hold the sentiment. So fun!

This whimsical card is perfect for sending a Valentine's Day wish!

Love & Coffee! Valentine Card by Donna Idlet

Love & Coffee!

Love is in the air today on this coffee themed card by Donna!

This card features our Love Café Stamp Set along with our Fractured Card Layout Die and our Love & Meows and Lovely Hearts paper packs.

Donna stamped the image of two mugs from the Love Café Stamp Set and colored it with alcohol markers. She also stamped the steam with the heart on top and the coffee beans from the same set. She cut everything out using the coordinating Love Café Die Set.

To create her card she used our Fractured Card Layout Die along with papers from our Love & Meows and Lovely Hearts paper packs to create the background with all the pretty heart patterns.

Last, she added the fun coffee themed sentiment from the Love Café Stamp Set. She embossed the sentiment onto a black postage edged banner that was cut out using our Framework Die Set.

With Valentine's Day right around the corner this would be a great way to send love to a coffee lover!

Feline Better? Get Well Cards by Jennifer Jackson

Get Well Card Stock Up!

Hello! Jen here today and I'm sharing some get well cards featuring our Newton's Sick Day Stamp Set with some of our Card Layout Dies and Basic Paper designs. 

I only needed one get well card but I colored a bunch of the images from the Newton's Sick Day Stamp Set so I figured I might as well use them up and make more cards. Now I will have some extra cards on hand the next time I need one! 

I'm going to share 4 cards with you today. For the first card I used the image of the kitty with the thermometer and ice pack along with the image of the box of tissue. I colored these images with alcohol markers and cut them out using the coordinating Newton's Sick Day Die Set. 

For the background I used our Card Layout 3 Die to cut out the fun pattern. The blue polka dots and green stripes are from our Pastel Basics Paper Pad and I cut it out again with teal and then from dark blue to complete the frame. I added the images onto the center along with an oval cut from the Oval Frames Die Set to hold the sentiment.

For my next card I used the image of the kitty with the bowl of soup. Again, I also used the tissue box. This time I colored the kitty to look like a siamese cat. 

For this card I used our A2 Card Layout Die along with neutral kraft cardstock and dark brown cardstock to match the kitty. I also cut out the pattern with green hearts from the Pastel Basics Paper Pad to add a little pop of color. I cut it out one more time to get the white for the center and then added the images to the center along with the sentiment. 

For the next card I used two images, the kitty with the broken arm and the kitty with the nurse hat. I thought these went purr-fectly together! 

This time I used the Fractured Card Layout Die for the background. I cut it out with some neutral colors (gray, brown and white) and also used the brown heart pattern from our Natural Basics Paper Pad. I added two sentiments to this one "not feline well" and "maybe you need a purr-amedic." The smaller sentiment was stamped onto a circle that was cut out using the Circle Frames Die Set and I embossed the larger one onto the center diamond shape. 

For my final card I used the kitty with the broken arm again (for some reason I had colored this one twice). 

I used the Card Layout 5 Die to create the background layout. I cut it out using several different colors of cardstock and once again with the hearts from the Natural Basics Paper Pad. I also cut out two hearts using the Heart Frames Die Set and used the larger one to hold the sentiment. I added the hearts along with the kitty to the center of the card layout. 

I had a lot of fun finding ways to use the Newton's Sick Day Stamp Set along with our Card Layout die collection. These dies really make it quick and easy to create a bunch of cards! I hope you'll give them a try!

The Perfect Mix Valentine Card by Amanda Wilcox

Send a Perfect Mix for Valentine's Day!

Amanda is back today with some Valentine inspiration. This sweet card features our Love Quarry Stamp Set and Valentine Word Trio Die Set along with some fun stenciling! 

Amanda stamped and colored the cement mixer truck from our Love Quarry Stamp Set choosing a color palette of red, pink and teal. She also stamped and colored a duo of construction cones using the same colors. She cut the images out using the coordinating Love Quarry Die Set and added some glossy effect to the images for a to add a bit of shine. 

She cut out the banner with the XOXO from our Valentine Word Trio Die Set in three colors (red, pink and white). She used the pink banner base and inserted the red and white letters back in. Then she added the truck and cones to the top of the banner. So fun! 

NOTE: the Valentine Word Trio Die Set is currently out of stock but we have more on the way so make sure to sign up to be notified when it's back in stock on the Valentine Word Trio Die Set product page. 

For the background she used our Bokeh Hearts Stencil Set and our Petite Hearts Stencil. She started with a teal cardstock panel and used the two piece Bokeh Hearts stencil, adding teal ink over both stencil layers. This created a nice tone-on-tone effect. Then she applied more hearts using the Petite Hearts Stencil with white texture paste. The teal cardstock panel was cut out using our Frames & Flags Die Set.

She assembled the card together, using dimensional adhesive and layering it over a white scalloped background pane that was also cut out using our Frames & Flags Die Set.

We hope this card inspires you create some Valentine cards. Also, make sure you try Amanda's technique of layering different stencils together!

Cat Window Card by Samantha Mann

Window Sitting!

If you have cats you know how much they love sitting in windows. Today Samantha used the cats from our Cat Silhouettes Die Set and created a unique window scene with die cuts. 

To create the window frame she used the die from our Frames & Tags Die Set, cutting it out from gray cardstock. She inked up a panel to go behind the frame using distress oxide inks in shades of pink. This created her window.

For the wall she created "wallpaper" by using a piece of patterned paper with tiny gray hearts from our Love & Meows Paper Pad. She cut the paper just a bit short of the card height to leave a white space for the "floor." 

To create the curtain she cut out a big curve using our Land Borders Die Set with some textured vellum paper. She added a sash by using the Land Borders Die Set again with pink paper, cutting it twice close together to create a curve with two stitching lines. This is such a unique use of the Land Borders Die!! She added a pink bow using the bow from our Pines & Holly Die Set.

She assembled the window and curtain onto her card and added the trio of black kitties that were cut out using the Cat Silhouettes Die Set. The finishing touch is the sentiment "from MEOW to you" from our Cat-itude Stamp Set. She embossed the sentiment in white onto a banner that was cut out using our Bookmark Die Set.

This scene is so adorable and it would be great to send to a cat lover. The touch of pink would even make it a great Valentine card!

Snowy Thank You Card by Amanda Wilcox

Thanks a Latte!

Do you need to send out thank you cards to friends and family who have treated you over the holidays? Today we are sharing inspiration for a winter themed thank you card by Amanda!

Amanda stamped the cute trio of mugs using our Cup of Cocoa Stamp Set. She colored them in shades of blue and green and added glitter for a touch of sparkle. She cut the images out using the Cup of Cocoa Die Set. 

She used the Snowfall Die Set to cut out white snowflakes and then layered the mugs over the centers for a fun wintery look. 

For her card background she covered a panel with blue ink splatters and then cut it our using the zig zag edged rectangle die from our Frames & Tags Die Set. She layered all of the snowflakes and mugs over the background and added the sentiment, die cut out using our Thanks a Latte Die Set.

We hope this card inspires you to send out some wintery themed thank you cards this season!
