Retiring Products Feature Week - Day 4 - Nakaba & Ellen

All week our design team is sharing inspiration using some of their favorite products from our retiring list and today we are featuring projects by Naki and Ellen!

Our first project today is this gorgeous sea themed card by Naki:

Naki created a gorgeous nautical project today that has so many fun details! She created that lovely bottle image using our retiring Message in a Bottle Die Set and filled it with sea colored beads. Inside the bottle she layered the image of the kraken from the retiring Message in a Bottle Stamp Set to layer over the top, coloring it in soft yellow. She also added the scroll from Message in a Bottle Stamp Set and added the sentiment onto the scroll. The little anchor in front completes the underwater scene and she even added a tiny chain for an extra fun detail! The waves in the background were created using our Waves Stencil

Next, we have a beautiful fairytale scene on this card by Ellen: 

If you love fairytales this gorgeous scene by Ellen will steal your heart! She created a scene full of adventure featuring the knight and dragon from our retiring Knight's Quest Stamp Set. She added more elements to her scene from other retiring sets. She use the the castle from the retiring Once Upon a Princess Stamp Set, the tree from the retiring Fox Hollow Stamp Set, and the scroll from the retiring Message in a Bottle Stamp Set. She did some gorgeous coloring on all these images with copic markers and then used the coordinating retiring die sets to cut them out (Knight's Quest Die Set, Once Upon a Princess Die Set, Message in a Bottle Die Set and Fox Hollow Die Set). 

The beautiful landscape was created but cutting out grass, land and water with our Land Borders Die Set and Sea Borders Die Set. In the background she added an orange sunny sky using our Sunscape Stencil. She also added that lovely postage edge around the whole long image by cutting out several panels with our Framework Die Set and lining them up for a long border.

Retiring Products Feature Week - Day 3 - Tina & Andrea

All week our design team is sharing inspiration using some of their favorite products from our retiring list and today we are featuring projects by Tina and Andrea!

Tina created this charming princess card using our retiring Once Upon a Princess Stamp Set:

Tina featured the images from our retiring Once Upon a Princess Stamp Set for this magical card! She stamped and colored the castle multiple times and layered it together to create the illusion of a larger castle! She also colored the princess, tree and frog from the set, adding white accents with a gel pen and some sparkle on the crowns too! She used the coordinating Once Upon a Princess Die Set (also retiring) to cut the images out. She layered the images onto her card over a softly inked blue sky background. She added the scalloped die cut edge to the panel using our Frames & Flags Die Set. To add more sparkle she adds sparkly stars to the sky using our Sky Scene Builder Die Set. The sentiment "if the crown fits..." is the perfect finishing touch!

Next, we have a second magical themed card by Andrea featuring the retiring Once Upon a Princess Stamp Set and retiring Knight's Quest Stamp Set!

Andrea combines the princess and knight together on this stunning card! This card features the sweet princess from our retiring Once Upon a Princess Stamp Set looking out from the top of the castle. Below the castle wall stands the knight from our retiring Knight's Quest Stamp Set,  defending the princess from the dragon! She colored all the cute images using alcohol markers and cut them out using the coordinating Once Upon a Princess Die Set for the princess and the Knight's Quest Die Set for the knight and dragon. She also created a border of grass using our Land Borders Die Set. The beautiful blue clouds in the sky were created with our Clouds Stencil. In the sky she also added the birthday sentiment from the Knight's Quest Stamp Set, making this a birthday card that would be perfect for any fantasy fan!

Trick or Treat Card by Nakaba Rager

Trick or Treat!!

Halloween is tomorrow! Are you ready? Today we are sharing a fun trick or treat card by Naki! For her card she created two adorable kids dressed for trick or treating using the princess from our Once Upon a Time Stamp Set and the knight from our Knights Quest Stamp Set. She was inspired by the costume choices of her kids this year who will be going as a prince and princess! She colored the images with gorgeous no-line coloring and then cut them out using the coordinating Once Upon a Time Die Set and Knights Quest Die Set. She also tucked a purple pumpkin candy holder behind the princess using the image from our Dress Up Doxies Stamp Set! What a fun idea!

To set the scene for these cuties she used the spooky house and graveyard from our Spooky Street Stamp Set. She dressed the scene up with a glittery gold moon in the sky that she added in using our Bokeh Stencil Set as a template for the circle. She also added in some die cut bats and the "trick or treat" die cut sentiment from our Halloween Trio Die Set. What a fun sweet scene with a little touch of spookiness! So perfect for Halloween!

Thank Thee Card by Larissa Heskett

Thank Thee!

Today we have an epic thank you card by Larissa! She created this awesome card using our Knight's Quest Stamp Set. She stamped the adorable image of the knight in shining armor on his horse and colored it beautifully! The red and bright teal colors on the shield and horse robes are so pretty! Then she trimmed out the knight image using the coordinating Knight's Quest Die Set and added him to a little scene inside a circle. She added a little hill too using our Land Borders Die Set.  The background on this card is so awesome too! She stamped a bunch of little arrows, also from the Knight's Quest Stamp Set and die cut them out to add them onto the card in a fun diagonal pattern. She also added the "thank thee" sentiment repeatedly! This background is so fun and bold! What a unique way to tell someone thank you!

A Storybook Birthday Card by Maria Russell

Storybook Birthday Card by Maria!

This adorable birthday card by Maria uses three magical themed stamp sets that we released last month in one amazing card!  She stamped and colored the dragon and Knight from the Knight's Quest Stamp Set along with the Princess and frog from the Once Upon a Princess Stamp Set and the Unicorn from the Believe in Unicorns Stamp Set and trimmed them all out with their coordinating dies! It's so cute how she gave each one a corner of her card with a fun color behind them and then added the sentiment in the center! The sentiment "On your birthday the whole kingdom belongs to you" is from  the Knight's Quest Stamp Set. Isn't it awesome how all of these sets go perfectly together?

Fairytale Tri-fold Card by Tatiana Trafimovich

Tri-folding story card!

Today we have a super cool card by Tatiana that tells a story! This card has three panels that fold out, each featuring a different character! To set the story she created a fun card front using the Sky Borders Die Set to trim a fun cloud border across the top. She also used some pieces that she had trimmed out from the Sky Borders Die Set as masks to created those layers of sponged blue clouds!

On the front of the card Tatiana used the cute little dragon from our Knight's Quest Stamp Set. She colored him and cut him out using the coordinating Knight's Quest Die Set.

When you open the card you next see a scene featuring the knight from our Knight's Quest Stamp Set. He's standing in front of those cute little topiaries from the Once Upon a Princess Stamp Set too! The fun cloud background continues too!

Open the card up to the third panel and you find this adorable scene with the Princess:

On this panel Tatiana used the princess, topiaries and castle from the Once Upon a Princess Stamp Set and the unicorn and rainbow from the Believe in Unicorns Stamp Set to make this adorable scene! She added in the sentiment from the Knight's Quest Stamp Set too! It's so awesome how all these sets work so perfectly together!

Newton's Nook Designs & Chibitronics Inspiration Week - Day 2 with Jennifer and Holly

This week Newton's Nook Designs and Chibitronics are partnering for a fabulous inspiration week! All week long both design teams will be sharing ways to light up your cards using Chibi lights with Newton's Nook Designs stamps! There are prizes too! Today we are featuring projects by Jennifer and Holly!

 First up we have this Brave Knight card by Jennifer:

Jennifer used the Chibitronics Starter Kit along with our new Knight's Quest Stamp Set to create a magical light up scene! Use colored the Knight on his horse along with the Dragon and the flame from the Knight's Quest Stamp Set and trimmed them out using the coordinating Knight's Quest Die Set. She also added a castle in the background from the new Once Upon a Princess Stamp Set and created some hills using our Land Borders Die Set. 

She configured her chibi light so that the castle windows light up yellow and the dragon fire lights up red! How cool is that!?

Our second project today is a set of Pretty Princess by Holly:

Holly created two adorable princess cards using the Chibitronics Starter Kit along with our new Once Upon a Princess Stamp Set! She created a simple card focusing on the tiny crown (which lights up) over a swash of pink watercolor and the "if the crown fits" sentiment! So fun! She also created a fun scene with the princess and her frog in a oval where the hearts in the sky light up! For both cards she used our Once Upon a Princess Stamp Set to stamp the images and the coordinating Once Upon a Princess Die Set to trim them out.

Larissa created this fun card by stamping a whole bunch of dragons and arrows to make her own patterned background! What a fun idea!

Amanda created this gorgeous card with the knight on the horse! Her coloring is so fun and vibrant! It's so fun how she added the "Hear Ye! Hear Ye!" inside the banner!

Jennifer created a magic slider card using this new set. You pull the paper across to reveal the colored image of the knight and banner! So magical! See her blog post today for more details and photos too!

This adorable little watercolored scene is by Samantha! The knight is so cute in his shiny gold armor and it's so fun how she combined the "thank thee" and "my hero" sentiments together! 

Juliana created this fun scene using the knight in front of the castle from the Once Upon a Princess set (revealed here yesterday).  She created the scene using our Land Borders Die Set to create a hill and our Sky Borders Die Set for the clouds! the inside of her card has a surprise 3D scene so make sure you head over to her blog to see that! 

This sweet card by Naki encourages you to always be brave! It's so fun how she embossed the knight in silver before coloring him with watercolor markers! The gold wreath and petite patterns behind him really give it a regal look!

Tatiana created this amazing card with the knight and dragon! It's so cute how the dragon is sitting on top of the banner! She also stamped fun arrow pattern along the side of her card!  If you look closely you can also see the lovely starry texture on the background that she added using embossing paste with our Starfield Stencil! 

Holly used the banner image as the focus of her card. I love how she added the "Hear Ye! Hear Ye!" inside the banner and the sentiment below! The fleur de lis make a great stamped background pattern behind it and the shields on the pattern paper she used go perfectly with this card!

Maria created this adorable scene using several of our new sets. She used the knight on his horse and the banner from the Knights Quest set along with the princess  and topiaries from the Once Upon a Princess Set (revealed here yesterday) and the rainbow from the Believe in Unicorns set (revealed on Monday's post here). Isn't it awesome how all these sets work together?
