Dachshund Through the Snow!

Today we are Dachshund through the snow with the adorable dachshund puppy on this holiday card by Ellen! 

For this card she features that cute puppy wearing a sweater from our Holiday Hounds Stamp Set and pairs it with patterned papers from our A Dog's Life Paper Pad and Canine Christmas Paper Pad! She colored the puppy in colors that coordinate with the papers and added him onto her card using a tag that was created with our Fancy Edges Tag Die Set! What a fun pairing of dies, papers and stamps! Everything coordinates perfectly and has a fun and festive holiday feel! Read below for details on how to create this fun card!

Here is a quick tutorial  from Ellen on how to create this card:

• (Left photo above): Cut out a red frame from the biggest die from the Frames & Flags Die Set. Next, cut out a rectangle with paper from the A Dog's Life Paper Pad and attached it with roller tape onto the red frame.
  
  
• (Center photo above): Create a tag with the Fancy Edges Tag Die Set using pattern paper from the Canine Christmas Paper Pad and green and brown paper. To get the scalloped edge, cut out the tag out of brown paper and then cut it again with the scalloped edge die from the tag set.
  
  
• (Right photo above): Stamp the sentiment from the Holiday Hounds Stamp Set with green ink onto on the speech bubble (cut out using the Speech Bubble Die Set). Stamp the dachshund from the olor the dachshund from the Holiday Hounds Stamp Set and cut out using the Holiday Hounds Die Set. Color with Copic Markers. Ellen used the following colors: Brown: E35, E33, E31, Red: R39, R37, R46, Green:YG25 YG07 YG01, White: B000, 0

This card would be so fun to send to any dog lover on your holiday Christmas card list! Or, if you have cat lovers, simply change up the image using one of our many cat designs in our Newton Category.

Shaker Scene Card with Doxies by Maria Russell

Happy Holidays Shaker Scene

Today Maria created and adorable shaker scene for her card! She started with those two cute pups from our Holiday Hounds Stamp Set and colored them in fun bright colors! She trimmed them out with the coordinating Holiday Hounds Die Set and gave them cute little Santa hats too! Then she created an amazing scene for those pups on her card. She created some hills using the Land Borders Die Set in the foreground and then added some cute little houses and trees along the skyline. Those trees are from the Snow Globe Scenes Stamp Set. Behind all of that she created an awesome shaker window with a pretty sky filled with sequins and a big moon! The silhouette of Santa and his reindeer in the sky is also from the Snow Globe Scenes Stamp Set. For the sentiment she used "Happy Holidays" from the Snow Globe Scenes Stamp Set too! This card is so incredible! The layers and details really make it feel so festive!

Create a project using Teal, Red, White and Green!

Several of our Design Team Members decided to play along - check out all the awesome cards they created, inspired by this fun, festive color palette ! Read the description below each card to see who made it.

This sweet winter card by Yukari features our bunny, Lily, dressed in a Christmas colored sweater from the Sweater Weather Stamp set! She used the color combo on the sweater, leaving the bunny white and added a bunch of fun mittens in the background too! The "Season of Joy" sentiment is from the Beautiful Baubles stamp set. 

Samantha used the fun color combo on this card featuring Winston driving his car full of gifts from the Winston's Home for Christmas stamp set. She used the red and green on the car, gift and trees and added the teal as a watercolor background on white paper! 

Kimberly created this adorable card by embossing the trees from our Festive Forest stamp set in white over red cardstock! She added in the "Thank you" from our Vegetable Garden stamp set and a just a little pop of teal!

This sweet fireplace scene by Larissa uses red and green on the rug and fireplace swag while keeping a white card base. Then she added some teal in the background to help this lovely scene op off the card! This sweet image is from our Fireside Friends stamp set.  

Jess created a flurry of snowflakes from our Beautiful Blizzard stamp set using the chosen color combo! I love how pretty this looks! She added an extra pop of teal up the sides too! 

This gorgeous wreath shaker card by Naki uses the color combo in the form of sequins inside the shaker! She also used the red and green on the wreath which was made with our Pines & Holly Die Set, and added an extra pop of teal with a teal tag using our new Joyful Tags stamp set! Such a fun card! 

This cute forest scene by Danielle features our cute kitty in a sweater from the Sweater Weather Stamp set! She used the green, red, and teal on the sweater, leaving the kitty white! So cute! 

This card by Stephanie features our adorable doxie from the Holiday Hounds stamp set twisted up in some holiday lights! She kept her color palette focused on the red green and white with just little teal accents!

Here is another lovely snowflake card using the color combo with  Beautiful Blizzard stamp set. Crafty Math-Chick created this one, using white for the base and added the snowflakes in the other colors of the challenge! I love the simplicity of this with the added sequins for a bit of bling! 

Here's one created by me! I used Winston dressed in his sweater from the new Sweater Weather stamp set and colored his sweater using the color combo! The colors really pop off the white card base!

Wiener Wonderland Card by Samantha Mann

Silly Dachshund Christmas Card!

Here is a fun and silly card by Samantha Mann using our adorable dachshund from the Holiday Hounds stamp set. I love how she colored the cute doxie and then added in some white dot details. I also love the handmade sentiment "wiener wonderland" - it makes me smile! Samantha also added in a fun geometric background and some snowflakes from the Fox Hollow stamp set in black! I love how fun and modern this looks!

Oops...Sorry Card by Crafty Math Chick

Oops  - Watch out for muddy paws!!

Here's a fun way to get some mileage out of a holiday set! Crafty Math-Chick used the dachshund in a sweater from the Holiday Hounds stamp set  and combined it with the sentiments our Naughty Newton stamp set to create this fun card. She tied the two sets together by creating "muddy" footprints using the paw prints from Newton's Antics.  I bet all the puppy owners out there can relate with that! What a fun idea! With a little imagination you can stretch your stamps for many occasions!

Sweater Weather Dachshund Card!

Sweater Weather! 

Today I'm sharing this card I created with our Holiday Hounds stamp set. I wanted this to be a "wintery" card but not a holiday one so I stamped the image of the cute pup in the sweater onto watercolor paper and colored it with Distress Markers in shades of blue and teal. Then I added the "sweater weather" sentiment from Holiday Hounds stamp set.  I cut out the image with some oval dies in my big shot and added some cute buttons. I added it to the card with some snowflake paper that matched the colors of the sweater!  Don't forget to try to STRETCH your stamps by using the holiday images to create winter cards after the holiday! 

Here's a question I often wonder - do you color your image first or pick you color combo for your card first? I always color the image first - just whatever colors I'm in the mood for but then it's sometimes hard to find paper to match so I was wondering if you do it the opposite way?

Have a Doxie Xmas!

He he he - this Doxie Scrapbook page by Danielle is SO cute!!  Of, course, being a doxie owner herself she had to get a photo of her cute put in there! She used our new dachshund image from our Holiday Hounds stamp set to create the little gold embossed Doxie - it's a bit hard to see in the photo but it's right underneath the blue letters - so fun! she also used the little bone and snowflake images to create a fun background and if you look close you can see the "have a doxie christmas" sentiment in the lower right corner too!
