Bark-ing Mad for Dog Themed Valentines!

Hello! Jen here today and I'm sharing some fun dog themed Valentine cards. 

For these cards I used the following dog themed products:

Dog Silhouettes Die Set

Love & Woofs Paper Pad

Say Woof Stamp Set

Woof Stencil

Petite Paw Prints Stencil

I thought it would be fun to combine the sentiments from our Say Woof Stamp Set with our Dog Silhouettes Die Set. For my first card I decided to do a dachshund theme. I cut out the little dachshund using the Dog Silhouettes Die Set and picked a paper with dachshunds from our Love & Woofs Paper Pad.

I  stenciled a piece of dark pink cardstock using our Woof Stencil with some white texture paste. When that was dry I grabbed our Fractured Card Layout Die and cut out the stenciled panel along with the cute dachshund paper. I also cut it out again with light pink and white cardstock for the frame and the center. Then I simply assembled all the pieces and stamped the sentiment from the Say Woof Stamp Set. 

 

For my next card I chose the labrador from our Dog Silhouettes Die Set for the main image, cutting it from black cardstock. Then I cut out a pieced of light pink cardstock to 4" x 5 1/4" and stenciled pink pawprints using our Petite Paw Prints Stencil.

To help make this card into a valentine theme I cut out several hearts using our Heart Frames Die Set using pink and gray cardstock. I added the sentiment from the Say Woof Stamp Set onto the largest heart, embossing it in white. Then I assembled the card, arranging all the hearts and the dog along the edge of the stenciled area. 

I was having fun stenciling so I created another card using our Woof Stencil. I stenciled the words in dark pink over a light pink cardstock. Then I took the same darker pink ink and lightly blended over the top to create the pink ombré effect. I cut this panel out using the large postage edged frame from the Framework Die Set. 

I cut out the cute little terrier dog from black cardstock using our Dog Silhouettes Die Set. Again, I wanted to add a heart and I cut out a big heart using the Heart Frames Die Set. I embossed the sentiment from the Say Woof Stamp Set onto the heart. I found a circle that the pup would fit into from our Circle Frame Die Set. I assembled the pieces over the stenciled background, added a vellum banner that was cut out using our Basic Frames Die Set.

For my last card I kept it super simple! I wanted to use our Card Layout 2 Die and I cut it out using light pink cardstock. Then I chose 3 different patterns from the Love & Woofs Paper Pad and cut those out using the same die. I inserted the die cut pieces back into the frame. 

I picked a sentiment from the Say Woof Stamp Set and stamped it onto a circle from the Circle Frames Die Set. Then I cut out two small hearts using the Heart Frames Die Set with a bright pink paper and added those to each side of the card. This card was so quick and easy to make!

I had a lot of fun finding ways to combine different papers and dies to create dog themed Valentine cards! I hope you are inspired to create some cards for the dog lovers in your life!

Feline Better? Get Well Cards by Jennifer Jackson

Get Well Card Stock Up!

Hello! Jen here today and I'm sharing some get well cards featuring our Newton's Sick Day Stamp Set with some of our Card Layout Dies and Basic Paper designs. 

I only needed one get well card but I colored a bunch of the images from the Newton's Sick Day Stamp Set so I figured I might as well use them up and make more cards. Now I will have some extra cards on hand the next time I need one! 

I'm going to share 4 cards with you today. For the first card I used the image of the kitty with the thermometer and ice pack along with the image of the box of tissue. I colored these images with alcohol markers and cut them out using the coordinating Newton's Sick Day Die Set. 

For the background I used our Card Layout 3 Die to cut out the fun pattern. The blue polka dots and green stripes are from our Pastel Basics Paper Pad and I cut it out again with teal and then from dark blue to complete the frame. I added the images onto the center along with an oval cut from the Oval Frames Die Set to hold the sentiment.

For my next card I used the image of the kitty with the bowl of soup. Again, I also used the tissue box. This time I colored the kitty to look like a siamese cat. 

For this card I used our A2 Card Layout Die along with neutral kraft cardstock and dark brown cardstock to match the kitty. I also cut out the pattern with green hearts from the Pastel Basics Paper Pad to add a little pop of color. I cut it out one more time to get the white for the center and then added the images to the center along with the sentiment. 

For the next card I used two images, the kitty with the broken arm and the kitty with the nurse hat. I thought these went purr-fectly together! 

This time I used the Fractured Card Layout Die for the background. I cut it out with some neutral colors (gray, brown and white) and also used the brown heart pattern from our Natural Basics Paper Pad. I added two sentiments to this one "not feline well" and "maybe you need a purr-amedic." The smaller sentiment was stamped onto a circle that was cut out using the Circle Frames Die Set and I embossed the larger one onto the center diamond shape. 

For my final card I used the kitty with the broken arm again (for some reason I had colored this one twice). 

I used the Card Layout 5 Die to create the background layout. I cut it out using several different colors of cardstock and once again with the hearts from the Natural Basics Paper Pad. I also cut out two hearts using the Heart Frames Die Set and used the larger one to hold the sentiment. I added the hearts along with the kitty to the center of the card layout. 

I had a lot of fun finding ways to use the Newton's Sick Day Stamp Set along with our Card Layout die collection. These dies really make it quick and easy to create a bunch of cards! I hope you'll give them a try!

Shell-ebrate Card by Donna Idlet

Shell-ebrate!

As summer is nearing the end we thought it would be fun to sneak in one more summer card! This card by  Donna features the adorable Newton's Sand Dollar Stamp Set along with our Seaside Paper Pad and Fractured Card Layout Die Set.

For this card Donna cut out the shapes using the Fractured Card Layout Die Set twice. She cut it out once using the gray seashell paper from the Seaside Paper Pad and once from a piece of light gray cardstock. To get the second shade of darker gray on the center piece she ink blended it over it with gray ink.  

She stamped and colored the images of Newton and the seashells from the Newton's Sand Dollar Stamp Set. She used neutral colors for the seashells and orange for Newton to add a fun pop of color! She cut the image out using the coordinating Newton's Sand Dollar Die Set and added him to her card. 

Last, she cut out a black stitched banner using our Banner Duo Die Set and stamped the "Shell-ebrate" message using a stamp from our Seashell Roundabout Stamp Set. This sentiment goes perfectly with the seaside images!

Coffee Card by Amanda Wilcox

This Calls for Coffee!

Today Amanda is featuring our Coffee Delights Stamp Set and Fractured Layout Die Set on a creative coffee themed card. 

For this yummy card she used the row of coffee mugs from the Coffee Delights Stamp Set, coloring them in bright pastels. She cut the image out using the coordinating Coffee Delights Die Set.

For the card base she added paint splatters onto two white cardstock panels. She used one for the base layer and then cut the second one into the fun shapes using our Fractured Layout Die Set. She stamped here sentiment in the lower right shape and then layered all of the fractured shapes over the base layer.  She used dimensional adhesive to give a fun a bit of height to her layout. The coffee mug image was then layered on top.

I Really Dig You! Puppy Card by Donna Idlet

Digging up some Valentine Fun!

Today Donna is sharing a Valentine that is perfect for sending to a dog owner for Valentine's Day! 

She features that adorable pup from our Puppy Heart Stamp Set paired with our Fractured Card Layout Die Set and our Love & Meows Paper Pad.

She starts by stamping and coloring the puppy, giving him a bright red heart for Valentine's Day. The image from this set comes with a blank heart and several sentiments that fit inside it so you can choose your favorite. For this card Donna chose "I really DIG you!" which is a perfect for a dog lover on Valentine's Day!

The card base uses our Fractured Card Layout Die Set with papers from our Love & Meows Paper Pad.  Once the papers are cut using this fun die, you just assemble them with some glue and add your image to the center. Donna also added a heart behind the image using our Heart Frames Die Set to give it a bit more love!

You could make more adorable valentine cards using this layout with any of our other valentine papers. You can find them all in the Valentine category on our site

2024 National Coffee Day Blog Hop

To celebrate National Coffee Day I am sharing a set of coffee themed cards that I created:

To create this card set I started out with our Natural Basics Paper Pad and Fractured Card Layout Die Set.

I chose four patterns from the paper and cut them out using the Fractured Card Layout Die Set. I used the same die set again on brown and white to create the inside frame and the white centers.

Now I had four perfect spots to add in coffee themed sentiments and images!

Card 1:

This card uses coffee die cuts created with our Coffee Silhouettes Die Set and book die cuts created with our Bookmark II Die Set. The sentiment is from our Never Enough Books Stamp Set.

Card 2:

This card also uses coffee die cuts created with our Coffee Silhouettes Die Set and book die cuts created with our Bookmark II Die Set. The sentiment is from our Time for Coffee Stamp Set.

Card 3:

This card also uses coffee die cuts created with our Coffee Silhouettes Die Set. The sentiment is from our Time for Coffee Stamp Set.

Card 4:

This card also uses the coffee grinder image and sentiment from our Time for Coffee Stamp Set.

A Slice Happy Pizza Card by Larissa Heskett

Pizza Make Newton Happy!

Today Larissa is making us smile with a fun pizza themed card!

To create this playful card she started with by cutting out a background using our Fractured Card Layout Die Set with a black and white grid pattern from our Black & White Basics Paper Pad. This creates a great neutral background that you could use for any image. She uses the same die again, this time with white, to create the frame that sits between the pieces. 

Once the background is assembled, she cuts out a couple of red circles to give a pop of color to her card. Next she stamps the cute image of Newton in a pizza box from our Newton Loves Pizza Stamp Set. Isn't it adorable how it seems he has eaten most of the pizza already? She leaves the image black and white to coordinate with the basic black and white background. The image was then cut out using the coordinating Newton Loves Pizza Die Set and layered over the red circle. She also adds the sentiment "Sending you a Slice of Happy" from our Newton Loves Pizza Stamp Set onto a small white stitched circle that was cut out using our Circle Frames Die Set. 

Doesn't the black, white and red color combo remind you of a classic pizzeria?

Lilac Thank You Card by Diane Morales

 

Thank You for Being So Kind!

Today we are sharing a beautiful floral thank you card by Diane! 

Diane features the pretty blooms from our Lilac Stamp Set. She stamps and colored two blooms with shades of purple and green and cut them out using the coordinating Lilac Die Set. She also stamped and colored two little butterflies using the same stamp and die set. 

For her card background she uses our Fractured Card Layout Die Set. She uses our Natural Basics Paper Pad to cut out the striped pieces, turning the paper to get striped in different directions. She cuts it a second time with gray paper for the inside frame. Then, she cuts out the center using white paper to make a spot to stamp her sentiment. This die set really makes a fun background easy. All you have to do is cut it out a few times with different papers!

Happy Fall Y'all Card by Farhana Sarker

Happy Fall Y'all!

Today we are getting the mood for fall crafting with this adorable card by Farhana!

To create this fun card she features our awesome new Fractured Card Layout Die Set. She cut the die out twice, once with the gingham patterned paper from our Natural Basics Paper Pad and once with kraft colored cardstock that had been stenciled with our Falling Leaves Stencil. We love this idea of mixing and matching stenciled patterns with our patterned papers! 

After her background was assembled she added the image using our Fall Harvest Stamp Set. This fun stamp set features several images that can fit above the basket and she chose to add the cute puppy with a pile of leaves. The images were cut out using the Fall Harvest Die Set. To finish out the card she stamped the sentiment into the center panel. So adorable!
