Floral Thank You Card by Larissa Heskett

Beautiful Blooms for a Cheerful Thank You!

Today we are sharing a gorgeous thank you card by Larissa! She used a bunch of our favorite floral sets to create whole garden of blooms!  

Larissa cut out a stitched rectangle using our Basic Frames Die Set. She used this as a background for her main images, making it into a scene by inking the bottom in brown and the top in blue. She added fun blue and black paint splatters for a bit of texture. Then she added on all of her flowers to the scene. She stamped and colored flowers from several different sets. She used the beautiful bloom from our Hyacinth Stamp Set for the centerpiece of her garden. Then she added sunflowers on each side from our Autumn Fields Stamp Set. She also layered in a little tulip from our Easter Postage Sampler Stamp Set and little flowers and butterflies from Newton's Blooms Stamp Set.  This creates such a beautiful garden! 

Under all of the blooms she added the thank you sentiment from the Floral Roundabout Stamp Set. The message was stamped and embossed in white onto a black banner that was cut out using our Banner Trio Die Set

Last, she layered everything onto a fun blue check pattern from our Bright Basics Paper Pad. She cut the paper out using our Framework Die Set to give it the fun postage edge. What a beautiful floral card!

Belated Birthday Card by Larissa Heskett

Late Birthday Wishes

Are you late for a birthday? Today we have a card by Larissa that is perfect for sending a belated birthday wish! 

This card features two favorite birthday stamp sets: Dog Birthday Party  and Birthday Postage Sampler. 

For the images on her card she used the cute pups with birthday gifts and cupcakes from the Dog Birthday Party Stamp Set. She also stamped the balloons and gift image from the Birthday Postage Sampler Stamp Set. She colored all the images using alcohol markers and added cute little pink cheeks and white dot details using a white gel pen. She cut the images out using their coordinating dies. 

For the card she cut out the postage edged background panel using the Framework Die Set. Then she chose a piece paper filled with little rows of gifts from our Birthday Time Paper Pad. She cut this out using the large stitched rectangle from the Basic Frames Die Set. These die cuts are sized to fit perfectly to layer together. 

Then she die cut the postage stamps using our Postage Stamp Layout Die Set. This die creates a whole panel of stamps and she used a scissor to cut them into individual stamps. She added the stamp prices and the word "party" from the Birthday Postage Sampler Stamp Set onto the stamp centers. 

She added the sentiment "missed your birthday" from the Heartfelt Woofs Stamp Set onto the pattered paper panel and added some black paint splatters over the top. 

Last, she assembled all the pieces together onto her card. She used a bit of dimensional adhesive on the small stamps and puppies. 

What a fun combination of birthday themed products! This cards would be paw-some to give to a dog lover for their birthday!

Sparkly Snowman Card by Diane Morales

Snow-one Else Like You!

With snowy weather in the forecasts we are looking forward to some snow days spent in our craft rooms! Today we are sharing a beautiful snow filled card by Diane featuring our Falling Snow Toner Card Fronts and our Snowman Greetings Stamp Set. 

To start out Diane created a gorgeous snowy background using the pretty snowflake panel from our Falling Snow Toner Card Fronts. She added sparkle to the panel using a heat laminator and silver foil. Then she cut it out using the large postage edged die from our Framework Die Set. 

For her image she chose the cute snowman from our Snowman Greetings Stamp Set. In this fun image the snowman is holding a tall sign and the set includes several sentiments that fit on the sign. For her card today Diane used "snow-one else like you." She colored the image with alcohol markers and added some snowy effects onto the snowy top of the sign! So pretty! She layered the snowman over a vellum oval that was cut out using our Oval Frames Die Set.

Trick or Treat Card by Amanda Wilcox

Trick or Treat!!

Today we are sharing an adorable Halloween card by Amanda using our Halloween Postage Sampler Stamp Set that will put you in the mood for Tricks and treats! 

To create this fun card Amanda stamped all the fun little Halloween icons from the Halloween Postage Sampler Stamp Set and colored them in soft shades of purple, pink and gray. She added glitter and gloss details to the images for a fun bit of sparkle and shine! The images were cut out with the coordinating Halloween Postage Sampler Die Set. 

The frame was cut out using the large postage edged die from our Framework Die Set. She masked the edges off at the stitching and then inked the center with pink and orange inks. 

She assembled the card together adding the images in three rows with dimensional adhesive. 

What a fun way to use little images to create a big impact!

Take Life One Cup at a Time Card by Diane Morales

One Cup at a Time! 

This colorful coffee themed card by Diane is sure to catch your eye! Her card today features our Coffee Delights Stamp Set and Mugs Stencil.

Diane colored the big stack of mugs from the Coffee Delights Stamp Set in shades of orange, teal and blue with a pop of yellow!  She continued with the coffee theme and created a panel of mugs using our Mugs Stencil, with dark blue ink over the a bright lime green paper for a fun contrast. 

To assemble her card she started with a navy colored card base and added the coffee patterned panel over the top. She cut a frame from white cardstock using our Framework Die Set and added it to her card center. The stack of mugs was layered over the top. She also added the sentiment "take life one cup at a time," onto a circle that was cut out using our Circle Frames Die Set.

Happy Thanksgiving + Black Friday Sale Starts Now!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Jen here today (owner of Newton's Nook Designs with my husband Jeff) and we want to take a moment to wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday! We are hope you are spending our day today filling up on turkey and relaxing! This holiday season is a time to reflect and appreciate everything you are thankful for and we want to let you know that we are so thankful for YOU, all of our AMAZING customers and fans! 

In the spirit of gratitude, I'd like to share a couple of beautiful thank you cards I created. Both cards feature our Leaf Splendor Stamp Set and our Autumn Basics Paper Pad.

For the card above I colored the leaves from the Leaf Splendor Stamp Set using watercolor markers. I cut them out with the coordinating Leaf Splendor Die Set. For the card I cut the postage edged frame from white cardstock using our Framework Die Set. I added 4 squares of patterned paper chosen from our Autumn Basics Paper Pad and layered the leaves over the top. The sentiment was stamped along the bottom and a bit of twine finishes the simple layout. 

For the second card I again colored a leaf from the Leaf Splendor Stamp Set with watercolor markers and cut it out with the coordinating Leaf Splendor Die Set. This time created a fun patterned background using our Autumn Basics Paper Pad. I cut an A2 sized piece of copy paper and then added strips of scrap paper from the paper pad, cutting them at angles and randomly adhering them to the copy paper. I then cut the paper out using the stitched rectangle from our Basic Frames Die Set. I added a strip of vellum and a sheer ribbon across the center and layered the leaf over that. I also added the sentiment, stamped onto an oval cut using our Oval Frames Die Set. This whole panel was then framed with an orange postage edged frame that was cut out using our Framework Die Set.

Caffeinated Christmas Card by Donna Idlet

Caffeinated Christmas!

Need a bit of caffeine over the holidays? This fun holiday card by Donna using some of fun new holiday products will help give give you a boost of creative energy.

This card features the cute coffee mugs from our Christmas Coffees Stamp Set. She colored the images, adding bits of sparkle and then cut them out using the coordinating Christmas Coffees Die Set. 

Using our Framework Die Set she cut out the background panel with the postage edge using a piece of gingham paper from our Christmas Basics Paper Pad

Next, she used our Postage Stamp Layout Die Set to make the red postage stamps. This die set creates a full panel of stamps and she cut them apart to create three separate stamp images. 

She layered the coffees onto the red stamps and arranged them over the background. She also added the sentiment "Have yourself a CAFFEINATED Christmas" in the corner.

Autumn Greetings Card by Zsofia Molnar

Autumn Greetings

Today we are celebrating fall with a gorgeous leaf themed card by Zsofia!

This beautiful card features our Leaf Splendor Stamp Set. This stamp set is filled with lovely leaves, perfect for sending fall greetings. Zsofia created the front panel of this card by embossing the leaves in a random pattern using gold embossing powder. She then added color inside of each of the leaves with watercolors. Once the leaves were colored she added black splatters all over the panel to give it a fun texture. She cut the panel out using our Framework Die Set to give it the fun postage edge. 

Next, she embossed 3 more oak leaves using gold embossed powder. Two of the leaves are on vellum paper and one is on brown cardstock. She cut the leaves out with the coordinating Leaf Splendor Die Set. She tied a bit of twine around them and added them to the center of her card. 

Under the leaves she added the "Autumn Greetings" Sentiment. This was embossed in white onto black cardstock and then trimmed out using the coordinating Leaf Splendor Die Set. A cool thing about the Leaf Splendor Die Set is that it also includes that fit with the sentiments in the set, making it easy to cut them out and layer them onto your card.  

What a beautiful card! This card is perfect for sending a greeting during the fall season!

Cheers to Summer! Card by Larissa Heskett

Cheers to Summer!

Happy July 4th! Today we are celebrating by sharing some summer fun with Newton enjoying a beach drink on this adorable card by Larissa!

To create cheerful summer greeting, she used the kitty with the big fishbowl drink from our Newton's Happy Meowr Stamp Set. She colored the kitty in neutral colors with added dots on the fur for texture. She also added in a couple of seashells from the stamp stamp set, cutting all the images out with the coordinating Newton's Happy Meowr Die Set. 

For her card she created a gorgeous seashell background using our Seashells Stencil with a variety of ink colors. So pretty! Then she created a little summer scene for the kitty inside the frame from our Framework Die Set and layered it over the seashell background. 

What a fun summer greeting!

So Many Books, So Little Time Card by Donna Idlet

So Many Books!

This fun book themed card by Donna is perfect for sending a cheerful greeting to a book enthusiast!

To create this adorable card she started by cutting out books in a rainbow of colors. She used our Bookmark II Die Set for the book silhouettes and cut them out of patterned papers from our Bright Basics Paper Pad. She cut the images out again from solid colored cardstock and layered in the ovals and rectangles on the book ends. She also cut out a cat using our Cat Silhouettes Die Set and she stamped and colored the clock from our Never Enough Books Stamp Set, cutting it out using the coordinating Never Enough Books Die Set.

Next, she created a bookshelf scene using all of these elements. She stenciled a background pattern using our Basketweave Stencil with a light gray ink on white cardstock. She then cut this panel out using the rectangle from our Basic Frames Die Set to give it a fun stitched edge. She also cut out a brown striped patterned paper strip from our Coffee House Stories Paper Pad. She also cut this strip again using the rectangle from our Basic Frames Die Set so that she could layer it over the background and have the stitching match up. Finally, she added the books, cat and alarm clock onto the shelf. 

For a message she added "So many nooks, so little time" from our Never Enough Books Stamp Set. She also framed the whole panel with a black postage edged frame, cut out using our Framework Die Set. 

What a fun way to combine all these great products together! The cheerful rainbow of books is sure to brighten the day of any book lover!

You Arff the Best Card by Amanda Wilcox

You ARFF the Best!

Today we are sharing another fun dog themed card by Amanda.

Today she features those cute pups from our Puppy Friends Stamp Set. She stamped and colored the three dogs from the set and cut them out using the coordinating Puppy Friends Die Set. She also added gloss the the puppies noses for a fun finishing touch. 

For her card, she started with a white card base. She then cut out a fun postage edged rectangle from kraft colored paper using our Framework Die Set. She stenciled onto this fun panel using our Petite Paws Stencil with white texture paste. 

Next, she cut out a bright teal frame using our new Frames & Tags Die Set.  This frame has three windows and they perfectly separats all the cute puppies on her layout.  In the bottom window she also adds the "You ARFF the Best", stamped onto the small tag that was also cut using the new Frames & Tags Die Set. 

This fun puppy themed card would be perfect for sending a thank you or happy hello to a dog lover!

Happy Easter Card with Peeps by Zsofia Molnar

Easter Kitties & Peeps!

Today Zsofia has created a fun Easter card filled with easter peeps and kitties! 

She started out by stamping the adorable images of Newton and the chicks from our Newton's Peeps Stamp Set. She also stamped some extra chicks and little flowers using the same set. She colored all the images using a fun spring color palette filled with yellow, green and orange. The images were all cut out using the coordinating  Newton's Peeps Die Set. She created a little scene for the kitties by cutting out a mint green rectangle using our Framework Die Set and adding a layer of grass using our Land Borders Die Set. Then she tucked all the images around the grass. Isn't it cute how the kitty is peeking out from behind it!? She also added the sentiment, stamped onto a bubble that was cut out using our Speech Bubbles Die Set. So cute!

For her card, she started with a white card base and added a fun layer of pattern, created using our Basketweave Stencil in brown ink over a light brown paper. She cut this panel out using the postage stamp edged die from our Framework Die Set and layered it behind her scene. That basket pattern really adds to the fun Easter theme!
