Tricks for Treats Card by Rosie Lopez

Tricks for Treats Card by Rosie Lopez | Trick or Treat Puppy, Spooky Halloween Toner Card Fronts, Haunted House Die Set, Spooky Sky Die Set, Frames & Flags Die Set, Framework Die Set by Newton's Nook Designs

Halloween Hound Card!
Today we are sharing this adorable and ghostly halloween themed card by Rosie!

These cards feature:

Hi everyone! It’s Rosie and
I am sharing a few Halloween Cards highlighting the
Trick or Treat Puppy Stamp Set. I always color the puppies a tan color to resemble my dog, Salem. He is always up for doing tricks for treats! I stamped, colored and die cut all the puppies twice. This left with lots of little puppy dogs to create with. Then I pulled out my Minc machine and used holographic foil with the spider web print from the Spooky Halloween Toner Card Fronts. I also used the negative foil on a solid black toner card front. I really loved the foil backgrounds and didn't want to cover much of it up so I pulled out the Framework Die Set and Flames & Flags Die Set. I cut one of the inside scallop dies from black cardstock and matted that on heavy-weight vellum. Then I die cut another vellum piece from a stitched rounded rectangle die. These two die sets are by far, my most used die sets.

I white heat embossed the two sentiments on black cardstock and then also stamped on white cardstock. I wasn't sure of my design so I just stamped both. Then I layered everything together and used the same die set to die cut the sentiments. Since I used vellum, I used a tape runner and foam tape to adhere everything together.

Bonus Card:

It wouldn't be a Rosie post without a bonus card! For this card I ink blended a background panel using a few pink/purple/blue Reactive Inks. I splattered with a shimmer spray and white acrylic to look like a night sky. I die cut the Spooky Sky Die Set and ink blended for dimension. I also die cut the Haunted House Die Set and added vellum behind the windows and popped it up with thin foam tape. I fussy cut the clack cardstock hill for the house to sit on. I white heat embossed the sentiment directly on the ink blended panel. Everything was layered together and I finished the card with two cute Trick or Treat puppies.

Autumn Inspiration Card and Bookmark by Rosie Lopez

Autumn Inspiration Card and Bookmark Duo by Rosie Lopez | Falling Leaves Stencil, Autumn Reads Stamp Set, Framework Die Set, Autumn Basics Paper Pack, Bookmark II Die Set by Newton's Nook Designs

I am an Autumn Card!

Today we are sharing this beautiful autumn colored card by Rosie!

These cards feature:

Falling Leaves Stencil
Autumn Reads Stamp Set
Framework Die Set
Autumn Basics Paper Pack

Bookmark II Die Set

Hi everyone! It’s Rosie and I’m back with some autumn inspiration. I’ve started my Gilmore Girls fall rewatch so of course I had to make some book themed fall projects.
For the card, I used the Falling Leaves Stencil with gold paste on a pumpkin colored cardstock. I set that aside to dry completely. Then I gold heat embossed the sentiment and book image from the Autumn Reads stamp set on a heavy weight vellum.

I die cut the frame from the Framework Die Set 3 times from an off white cardstock. I stacked up the frames, adhered the vellum and trimmed off the extra.

Then I die cut the larger frame from a pattern paper from the Autumn Basics Paper Pack. I pared the pieces together and added it to a card base.

I had to channel my inner Rory and make a bookmark. I used the Falling Leaves Stencil with some Distress Oxides on a pumpkin cardstock die cut with the Bookmark II Die Set.

I gold heat embossed the sentiment directly to the bookmark. Then, I used the book dies from that bookmark die set to die cut some scraps of fall colored cardstock. I stacked the books and added a tassel to the top.

I’ve really been having fun making bookmarks using these dies. It’s fun and challenging to work with on a new set dimensions for a project.

I hope these projects bring some autumn inspiration and if not, I’ll leave you with one of my favorite Gilmore Girls quote “It’s just my favorite time of year. The whole world changes color” - Lorelei Gilmore

I stamped the tulips, colored with Olo markers and die cut the image using the coordinating Tulips Die Set.  I then paired it with paper from the Spring Blooms Paper collection for a soft seasonal touch.

The design is framed with the elegant Framework Die Set and accented with the Circle Frames Die Set to draw attention to the flowers and sentiment. A banner created with the Banner Duo Die Set adds the perfect finishing detail from the Birthday Roundabout sentiment, making this card ideal for celebrating birthdays with a cheerful spring-inspired style.

Floral Thank You Card by Larissa Heskett

Floral Thank You Card by Larissa Heskett | Flowers from Hyacinth, Autumn Fields, and Easter Postage Sampler Stamp Sets by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

Beautiful Blooms for a Cheerful Thank You!

Today we are sharing a gorgeous thank you card by Larissa! She used a bunch of our favorite floral sets to create whole garden of blooms!

Larissa cut out a stitched rectangle using our Basic Frames Die Set. She used this as a background for her main images, making it into a scene by inking the bottom in brown and the top in blue. She added fun blue and black paint splatters for a bit of texture. Then she added on all of her flowers to the scene. She stamped and colored flowers from several different sets. She used the beautiful bloom from our Hyacinth Stamp Set for the centerpiece of her garden. Then she added sunflowers on each side from our Autumn Fields Stamp Set. She also layered in a little tulip from our Easter Postage Sampler Stamp Set and little flowers and butterflies from Newton's Blooms Stamp Set.  This creates such a beautiful garden!

Under all of the blooms she added the thank you sentiment from the Floral Roundabout Stamp Set. The message was stamped and embossed in white onto a black banner that was cut out using our Banner Trio Die Set

Last, she layered everything onto a fun blue check pattern from our Bright Basics Paper Pad. She cut the paper out using our Framework Die Set to give it the fun postage edge. What a beautiful floral card!
