Season's Greetings Snowman Card by Amanda Wilcox

Season's Greetings Snowman Card!

Today we are sharing an adorable snowman card by Amanda that is perfect for sending this holiday season!

This card features the cute snowman from our Snow Much Cheer Stamp Set. Amanda stamped and colored the snowman holding the stocking filled with gifts in soft holiday colors. She then used the coordinating Snow Much Cheer Die Set to cut the image out. 

 To create the beautiful snowy oval behind the snowman, she stamped the big oval image with a snowflake border from our Snowflake Oval Stamp Set, embossing it in white. She added blue distress inks over the top to give it that gorgeous color. then she cut it out using our Oval Frames Die Set to give it a fun scalloped edge. 

For the card base, she started with a light green paper and then inked the pine boughs and holly over the top using our Holiday Foliage Stencil.  

Then she added the "Season's Greetings" Sentiment using our Holiday Greetings Hot Foil Plates with green foil onto a banner that was cut out using our Banner Duo Die Set.

Chrysanthemum Card by Guest Designer Brennan Keane

Today we a special guest post to share. We are featuring more beautiful work from the talented young Brennan Keane!  

Hello everyone! I am so excited to be back on the Newton’s Nook blog today! For those of you that don’t know me, my name is Brennan and I’m a 15 year old card maker who loves floral stamps. But you’re not here to learn about me, so let's get into this fall floral card!

For this card, I’ll be using the newest addition to the floral line, the Chrysanthemum Stamp Set! I decided to go for a funky fall look, so instead of coloring the stamp in with your traditional fall colors, I used copic colors RV19 (the darker marker) and V06 (the lighter marker) to create a magenta blend. I then colored in the leaves with G24, doing multiple layers of it to create a slight dimensional effect. I also used Y15 to color in the center of the flower.

To make the background, I used a Catherine Pooler ink pad in the color Glam to create a custom colored cardstock. I then used the Holiday Foliage Stencil, which in my opinion can be a fall or winter stencil, with some Lunar Paste in the color Slippery When Wet to add a little shine to the card! To mount the floral to the card, I used some shape dies from my stash with white and lilac colored cardstock, and glued that all down to the background! Finally, to finish off the card, I added a black matte and called it a day!

Season's Greetings Card by Farhana Sarker

Season's Greetings!

Today we are sharing a beautiful floral holiday card by Farhana featuring our Poinsettia Blooms Stamp Set. 

She started by stamping two clusters of poinsettias using our Poinsettia Blooms Stamp Set and colored them in lovely tones of red and green. For her card she carefully hand cut the images out but if you don't like to fussy cut, there is a coordinating Poinsettia Blooms Die Set available. She also added little gold gem embellishments around the flower leaves. 

For her card, she used our Holiday Foliage Stencil to dry emboss a subtle texture onto a white cardstock base. What a pretty effect! 

Then she layered the floral images over the  embossed panel, adhering them on each side of a stitched circle that was cut out using our Circle Frames Die Set. In the center of the circle she added the "season's greetings" sentiment from the Poinsettia Blooms Stamp Set, embossed in gold

Heartfelt Holidays Card and Tag Set by Zsofia Molnar

Holiday Hearts!

Zsofia has created a gorgeous card with matching tags today featuring our new Heartfelt Holidays Stamp Set. It's super fun to see how you can create coordinating projects using the same stamp set!

For all three projects she stamped and embossed the large holiday heart from the Heartfelt Holidays Stamp Set  in white onto a kraft colored cardstock. She then cut the die hearts out using the scallop edged heart die from the Heart Frames Die Set. 

For the lovely card, she die cut a red bow and some green evergreen boughs using our Pines & Holly Die Set and adhered them tot he top of the heart. Then she used our Banner Trio Die Set to cut out a red banner to hold the sentiment "Be Merry." That red banner really pops off the kraft paper! For the card base she added a soft pattern of foilage using our  Holiday Foliage Stencil and laiyered the heart on top. A bit of red and white twine adds the finishing touch. 

For her gift tags, she used the other two hearts, also adding red banners to them that were die cut using our Banner Trio Die Set. On the tags she used the "Merry Christmas" sentiment. Then She added an eyelet to create a hole to hold the red and white twine to make these into tags! So pretty!

Newton's Nook Designs & Wow Embossing Powder Inspiration Week - Day 5 with Larissa & Ellen

Newton's Nook Designs and WOW embossing powders are collaborating all week long to offer you inspiration using their products together! Both design teams will be sharing fun ways to use embossing powders on your projects using WOW embossing powders paired with Newton's Nook Designs stamps! 

Today we are featuring projects by Larissa and Ellen! 

First up we are sharing an adorable Halloween card by Larissa: 

For this awesome witch card, Larissa used our  cute kitty from the Witchy Newton Stamp Set. She embossed the image and sentiment using Clear Gloss embossing powder from WOW! Then she colored the image in gorgeous a fun orange and purple color palette fro Halloween and cut the images our using the coordinating Witchy Newton Die Set. To create the amazing background she layered several of our Stencils. She started with the Gingham Stencil, using it first with orange and then again with purple to create the fun plaid look. Then she used our Bokeh Stencil Set, using just the #2 stencil from the two piece set. She inked over the stencil using Versamark ink and then embossed the dots using the Witching Hour (black magic color blend) embossing powder from WOW! on the dots! What a fun idea for layering stencils. The sparkle adds the perfect touch for Halloween!

Next, Larissa created an amazing Holiday card! She started with a background of printed music paper and then used our Holiday Foliage Stencil to add all the fun leaves, holly and branches to the background. She used selective masking to apply embossing ink to just small sections of the stencil so she could emboss them in different colors. She used Green Glitz, Red Glitz, Metallic Copper Sparkle, Lime Ricky, and Calypso glitter embossing powders from WOW! to add all the fun color and sparkle. She also inked a bit around the images with distress ink to help the colors pop! She added the sentiment from our Christmas Haul Stamp Set and used Clear Gloss embossing powder for WOW! to give it some shine. The scallop edged border was die cut using our Frames & Flags Die Set.

 Next, we have a a duo of Christmas card by Ellen:

For her first adorable card, Ellen features the duo of Christmas dogs from our Happy Howl-idays Stamp Set. She colored the dogs, giving them fun blue and red accessories and used the coordinating Happy Howl-idays Die Set to cut the image out. She added a little snowy hill for them to sit on using our Land Borders Die Set. For the gorgeous snowy background she used our Snowfall Stencil. She applied embossing ink over the stencil and then used the Midnight Dream embossing powder from WOW! to add the sparkle to the snowflakes! She added the custom sentiment by that wa created using the word "happy" from our Holiday Greetings Die Set along with the little word "Holidays" that was stamped from our Simply Seasonal Stamp Set. She embossed the little word using Metallic Silver embossing powder from WOW! The whole scene is framed with a red scalloped edge that was cut out using our Frames & Flags Die Set.

Our last project today is another adorable Holiday card by Ellen. For this fun card she used the image of the mouse with the candy cane and reindeer headband from our Naughty or Mice Stamp Set. She colored the image and cut it out using the coordinating Naughty or Mice Die Set. She created a scene for the mouse inside a stitched square that was cut out using our Frames Squared Die Set. She created a starry sky using our Cosmic Newton Stamp Set to stamp the stars and embossed them using Glow-in-the-Dark embossing powder from WOW! She die cut some trees using our Forest Scene Builder Die Set and added "snow" on them using the White Puff Twinkle embossing powder from WOW!
She added a little hill using our Land Borders Die Set to complete the scene. For her sentiment, she combined the word "merry" from our Holiday Greetings Die Set with the word "Christmas" from our Simply Seasonal Stamp Set. She embossed the word "Christmas" in white using Opaque Bright White embossing powder from WOW!  She framed the whole scene using the scallop edged square and the rounded stitched square from our Frames Squared Die Set.

First we have this gorgeous Christmas bear by Tatiana: 

Tatiana created this gorgeous card featuring that sweet bear driving a his card laden with Christmas goodies from our Winston's Home for Christmas Stamp Set. She colored the image and added it on the inside of her card using lovely soft Christmas colors! For the card front she die cut out a scalloped frame using our Framework Die Set and inside the frame she created a glittery foiled layer of tiny snowflakes using our Petite Snow Stencil with Deco Foil Transfer Gel and a heat laminator to adhere the foil. For the big "christmas" sentiment, she used Toner Sheets and Red Deco Foil from Therm O Web along with our Holiday Greetings Die Set to create that shiny word.

 Next, we have a trio of lovely foiled cards by Ellen:

For her first card Ellen created a fun sloth themed Holiday card:

For this card she used the cute sloth image from our Slothy Christmas Stamp Set, coloring that cutie with copic markers and giving some fun texture to the fur. She cut the image out using the coordinating Slothy Christmas Die Set. For the fun background on her card she used the fun Deco Toner Sheets in Prim Poinsettia from Therm O Web and layered the foiled piece over a fun red inked background. She also used our Framework Die Set for the postage edged panel and our Frames & Flags Die Set for the flags behind the sloth. The "ho ho ho" was cut out using the confetti die from our Ornament Shaker Die Set.

Next, Ellen created an adorable winter scene with lots of sparkle:

For this card, Ellen created an adorable scene featuring that cute little sheep from our Fleece Navidad Stamp Set. She colored the sheep with copics and cut him out using the coordinating Fleece Navidad Die Set to add to her scene. To create the scene she created layers of white hills of snow using our Land Borders Die Set and added in cute little trees using the tree from our Fox Hollow Stamp Set and cutting them out with the Fox Hollow Die Set. She added the snowflakes on vellum from the Fleece Navidad Stamp Set into the sky. Then for the sparkly "happy" she used our  Holiday Greetings Die Set along with Deco Foil Toner Sheets and Silver Deco Foil from Therm O Web. She also used our Framework Die Set for the scallop edged frame. 

For her third card, Ellen created a yummy trio of mugs:

On this last card, Ellen features a trio of yummy drinks from our Cup of Cocoa Stamp Set in the center of her card. She colored the images in fun holiday colors using copic markers and added them to her card, cutting them out using the coordinating Cup of Cocoa Die Set. For that gorgeous foiled background she used our Holiday Foliage Stencil along with Deco Foil Transfer Gel and green foil Deco Foil by Therm O Web. She also used our Frames & Flags Die Set for the scallop edged border.

Ellen created this adorable sleepy sloth card using our new Slothy Christmas Set. She added the sloth and his gift to the hear and then layered it over a background that was created using our Holiday Foliage Stencil. She also added the white scallop edged panel and green stitched banner using our Frames & Flags Die Set.

This incredible winter scene was created by Amanda. She used the dogs from the new Happy Howl-idays Stamp Set, coloring them in vibrant shades of brown and red. Then she layered them over a birch tree background that was created using trees from our new Forest Scene Builder Die Set. She also added some tiny snow to the background using our new Petitie Snow Stencil. 

Tatiana created this adorable mini winter scene using the sheep from the new Fleece Navidad Stamp Set. She added them into a scene that was created using birch trees and leaves from our Forest Scene Builder Die Set. She also added little snowflakes into the background using the snowflake that is included in the Fleece Navidad Stamp Set. The rounded rectangle window was cut out using our Frames & Flags Die Set.

This gorgeous peppermint striped card was created by Samantha! She created stripes by masking off the white areas and adding red distress ink. It's the perfect backdrop for that cute toad from our new Mistle Toad Stamp Set! 

Naki created this adorable sleepy Christmas scene! She used the sloth from our new Slothy Christmas Set, coloring him with soft watercolors. Then she created a scene for him by using a single tree from our new Evergreens Stencil in the background. The sentiment from the Slothy Christmas Stamp Set goes perfectly with this setting! 

Juliana created this sweet Howl-iday puppy card! She used the cute duo of dogs from our new Happy Howl-idays Stamp Set, coloring them with copic markers. She even added an extra bit of holly to the hat using the holly from the Caroling Newton Stamp Set. She used the Framework Die Set for the scallop edged panel and our Holiday Foliage Stencil for the lovely stenciled background!

Larissa created this fun holiday card featuring the little sheep from our new Fleece Navidad Stamp Set. She paper pierced a rainbow scarf for him  that matches the rainbow card background! She also added lots of die cut "merry & bright" words to the background using our new Holiday Greetings Die Set. The scallop edged panel was created using our Frames & Flags Die Set.

Zsofia created this adorable tag featuring the cute little toad from our new Mistle Toad Stamp Set! She colored the image with copics, adding tons of little stippled dots for texture. For the tag, she used our Fancy Edges Tag Die Set to create a custom tag shape! This would be so cute on a holiday gift! 

This adorable sleepy holiday scene was created by Maria. She used that cute sloth from our new Slothy Christmas Set, coloring him with copic marks and adding some sparkle to his hat. Then she created a fun winter scene for him, creating snowy hills using our Land Borders Die Set and adding in trees using our new Forest Scene Builder Die Set! She even added stockings to the tree using the tiny stockings from our Ornament Shaker Die Set.

Holly created this sweet fun winter forest scene using the cute duo of dogs from our new Happy Howl-idays Stamp Set. She colored them with copic markers adding some really cool fur textures and white gel pen accents. Behind them she added a forest of trees using our new Evergreens Stencil!
