I Totally Dig You!

Today we are digging up some Valentine fun with Amanda!

This card features the cute construction truck digging up hearts from our Love Quarry Stamp Set. She colored the image in fun bright colors and added bits of sparkle and gel accents! The image was then cut out using the coordinating Love Quarry Die Set. 

For the card, Amanda created a fun tri-fold layout! She folded the cardstock in thirds and created two blue inked panels to cover the front folds. She stamped the heart filled image from our heart from our Heartfelt Love Stamp Set and used our  Heart Frames Die Set to cut it out. She also cut out a the larger grey heart using the same die set and framed the smaller heart with that. She adhered these pieces to one side of the folded card front and then added the truck on the top. She also added the sentiment "I totally DIG you!" from the Love Quarry Stamp Set onto a bubble (cut out using our Speech Bubbles Die Set). So cute! 

Inside the card she added more fun using the "Hugs & Kisses" sentiment from the Heartfelt Love Stamp Set along with a traffic cone and second construction truck from our Love Quarry Stamp Set.

Espresso Your Love Card by Farhana Sarker

Espresso Your Love! 

Valentine's Day will be here soon and it's the perfect time to espresso your love!  Farhana created a card that does just that for todays feature!

She started out this fun coffee themed card by using the duo of mugs from our Love Café Stamp Set. She colored them in sweet pastels and cut them out using the coordinating Love Café Die Set. Behind the mugs she features the fun big heart image from our Heartfelt Love Stamp Set, embossed in white onto vellum and cut out using our Heart Frames Die Set. 

She uses the Heart Frames Die Set again, this time cutting out a fun teal patterned paper heart using a page from our Love & Chocolate Paper Pad. 

She creates a card base from white cardstock and adds more hearts, this time using our Petite Hearts Stencil with some pretty pink ink. The finishing touch is a duo of banners cut out with our Banner Trio Die Set. One banner is cut from pink paper and includes the sentiment from our Love Café Stamp Set. The second banner is cut using another pretty patten from our Love & Chocolate Paper Pad.

This beautiful card would be perfect for sending a Valentine card to a coffee lover!

Valentine's Day Banner by Ellen Haxelmans

 

Valentine's Day Banner!

Today Ellen is sharing a fun way to decorate for Valentine's Day with a heart shaped Banner!! 

The hearts on the banner are adorned with the sweet kitty images from our Smitten Kittens Stamp Set, Captivated Kittens Stamp Se and Knead Kittens Stamp Sets and she uses sentiments from our Heartfelt Love Stamp Set. She also includes pretty papers from our Love & Chocolate Paper Pad and cut out circles and banners using our Circle Frames Die Set, A7 Frames & Banners Die Set and Banner Trio Die Set.

Here is a tutorial  from Ellen on how to create this Valentine Banner:

• (Left photo above): First I die cut all stamps and shapes. I used the Circle Frames Die Set and Heart Frames Die Set for the hearts and circles. I also used the Banner Trio Die Set and the A7 Frames & Banners Die Set  for the banner shapes.
  
  
• (Center photo above): I wanted text on all white hearts. To have some differentiation I changed the layout a little. On the one you can see on the 2nd picture, I layered a heart on top of the heart. I embossed the sentiments with white embossing powder using the Heartfelt Love Stamp Set. The banners are from the A7 Frames & Banners Die Set. The heart is the smallest scalloped die from the Heart Frames Die Set. The tiny colored heart is from the Smitten Kittens Stamp Set.
  
  
• (Right photo above): On the other white hearts I simply stamped other sentiments on the same banners. The fact that the banners on the second picture are smaller, is because I cut them twice.

• (Left photo above): On all pink hearts I layered different shapes. On top of the banner from the Banner Trio Die Set there are two circle one from the Circle Frames Die Set and one from the Frames Squared Die Set. I also used a pattern paper from the Love & Chocolate Paper Pad.
  
  
• (Center photo above): Next I colroed the illustrations with a watercolor markers. All the illustrations you can see are from the Smitten Kittens Stamp Set, Knead Kittens Stamp Set and Captivated Kittens Stamp Set. Ps. Doesn’t look the dough like a cute blanket?!
  
  
• (Right photo above): The last step was to place the illustration on top of the circles.

Valentine's Day Shaker Card by Amanda Wilcox

 

Valentine Shaker!

Today we are a gorgeous Valentine shaker card by Amanda that perfect for sending to a special loved one!

She started out by stamping the image a heart filled with smaller patterned hearts from our Heartfelt Love Stamp Set. She colored all the little hearts in reds, pinks and browns to mimic a box of chocolates! So yummy. Then she turned the image into a shaker shape by cutting it out with the Heart Frames Die Set and cutting a second heart frame and acetate window using the same die. She filled the shaker with tiny seed beads for a fun effect!  

She added the sentiment "xoxo", also from the Heartfelt Love Stamp Set, embossed in white onto a small oval that was cut out using our Oval Frames Die Set. What a fun special touch! She kept the card base simple with a red textured paper. She added the scalloped edge by using our Frames & Flags Die Set. She also added a bit of white paint splatters for a fun finishing touch! Keeping the background simple really lets that shaker shape pop out!

Tropical Card by Zsofia Molnar

Hello Lovely!!

Today we are dreaming of summer with a wonderful tropical creation by Zsofia. 

Her gorgeous card today features that cute toucan from our retiring Toucan Party Stamp Set. She colored this bird in fun bright colors using copic markers. She layered this cute bird along with some of the little tropical flowers from the same stamp set onto a small circle cut out with our Circle Frames Die Set. She added tropical leaves all around the edge of the circle for a fun tropical wreath effect! She cut these leaves out using our Hibiscus Die Set. Then she also added the sentiment "Hello Lovely" from our Heartfelt Love Stamp Set, embossed in white onto a skinny black banner that was die cut using the little banner from our A7 Frames & Banners Die Set. How adorable!

For her card base, she used our Tropical Leaves Stencil with green ink over a light yellow distress inked background. She also added black paint splatters for a fun effect! What a gorgeous tropical card!

Bunny Hugs and Kisses Card by Tina Herbeck

Bunny Hugs & Kisses!

Today Tina has created an a sweet bunny card that is perfect for sending loving wishes for Valentine's Day!

For this adorable card she colored two of the sweet bunnies from our Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set. She colored them in soft neutral browns and used the coordinating Bitty Bunnies Die Set to cut them out. She paired the bunnies with the big heart image from our Heartfelt Love Stamp Set. She stamped the big heart from this set, embossing it in white and cutting it out into a scalloped heart shape using the die from our Heart Frames Die Set. She added distress ink over the top  to give it a red to pink gradient. So pretty! 

She also added the sentiment "hugs & kisses" from the Heartfelt Love Stamp Set, embossing it onto a black banner that was cut out using our Banner Trio Die Set. 

Then she added even more hearts - because you can never have enough hearts for Valentine's Day - onto her white background using our Tumbling Hearts Stencil. This heart texture was created by dry embossing the stencil onto the paper by pressing it through her die cutting machine. 

This card turned out so cute! It's fun how you can make any image into a Valentine image, like she did with those sweet bunnies, just by pairing them with hearts! What will you create for this Valentine's Day?

Sending My Love Snowman Card by Larissa Heskett

Sending Love and Snowmen!

We are loving how the team is thinking of new and fun ways to create Valentine's Day Cards this week!  Today we are featuring a fun snowman themed love card by Larissa! To create this adorable card she stamped the big image of snowman from our Snowman Roundabout Stamp Set and then cut it into a heart shape using our new Heart Frames Die Set! She colored the snowmen in pretty pastel colors and used the image to create a fun heart shaped shaker card. To cut out the shaker frame she also used two of the heart dies from our Heart Frames Die Set. She filled the shaker with sweet sequins and then added it to her card with the "Sending my Love" sentiment from the Heartfelt Love Stamp Set. She also framed it with a scalloped edge cut out of pink polka dot paper using our Frames & Flags Die Set

She even created a coordinating envelope by stamping the snowmen onto the flap! How adorable!

We hope that this card brings makes you smile! Don't forget to take a second look at your stamps to see which ones would work for Valentines! Simply adding a soft color palette and some hearts can turn almost any design into one you can use on a Valentine card!

A Duo of Heartfelt Cards by Ellen Haxelmans

Heartfelt Card Duo!

Today Ellen has created TWO beautiful cards featuring our new Slimline Masking Hearts Stencil Set, used in two different ways! This set includes a stencil with three heart cut outs. The interior heart cut outs are included so you can use those for masking too! Read on to see how!

For her first card, Ellen created a beautiful Valentine with overlapping hearts:

She stenciled a trio of overlapping hearts in the center using our Slimline Masking Hearts Stencil Set (see details on how to do this below). Once the image was created she added the sentiment "Happy Valentine's Day" from our Heartfelt Love Stamp Set in the center. It was stamped onto a banner from our Banner Trio Die Set and added with a bit of dimension. The whole panel was framed with a light pink scalloped frame that was cut out using our Frames & Flags Die Set. 

How to create the overlapping hearts for this card:

Below we have some tips from Ellen on how this card was created.

1. (left photo) You can match the Slimline Masking Hearts Stencil perfectly on top of a normal 4x6 card front. You will see two cards fit on the rectangle.
   
   
2. (center photo) After you ink blend the first two hearts, you can slide the stencil over and place a third heart in the center. The grid that is etched on the stencil will help you find the middle.
   
   
3. (right photo) I added an ink blend along the sides of the card with brown ink

For her second card, Ellen created a square Thank You Card, using the interior heart as a mask.

For this card, she used our Slimline Masking Hearts Stencil Set to create a gorgeous ink blend around a white heart (see details on how to do this below). She layered this fun inked panel over a gray scalloped frame and a white rounded square that were cut out using our Frames Squared Die Set. The sentiment "Heartfelt Thanks" was stamped from our Heartfelt Roses stamp set onto a banner that was cut out with our Banner Trio Die Set. 

 

How to create the inked heart shape for this card:

Below we have some tips from Ellen on how she created the inked heart shape.

1. (left photo) The Slimline Masking Hearts Stencil Set includes the interior pieces too. When you place your stencil on top of a card (here a square) you can find the middle by using the guide lines on the stencil.
   
   
2. (center photo) Add a spray adhesive or removable tape on one side of the heart to hold it in place. Then use the opening from the stencil that is already on your paper to guide where you place the heart on your project. This ensures your heart is placed perfectly in the middle. Then you remove the outer piece of the stencil.
   
   
3. (right photo) You now color the outside around the heart stencil mask. After you have applied the ink, remove the heart mask to reveal the white center. Don't forget to wash the stencil to remove any adhesive if needed.
