Thank You Card by Farhana Sarker

Amazing Thank You!

Today we are sharing a beautiful thank you card created by Farhana! This lovely card is filled with butterflies and flowers, a perfect spring combination!

She started out by embossing the big floral oval from our Best Mom Oval Stamp Set in gold. She added some soft colors to the flowers and cut the image out using the  Oval Frames Die Set to give it a scalloped edge. She also used the Oval Frames Die Set to cut a second oval, this time in bright purple to layer over the center. She added the sentiment from the Best Mom Oval Stamp Set onto this layer, embossing it in white.

Next, she embossed a couple of butterflies from our Beautiful Wings Stamp Set onto vellum. She cut them out by hand but you could also use the coordinating Beautiful Wings Die Set. She added these butterflies along with some pretty rhinestone gems to the image.

Here is a close up so you can see all the details:
For the last step, she cut a piece of patterned paper from our  Springtime Paper Pad the same size as her card base to cover it with butterflies! She layered her large oval onto the center for a beautiful card that is perfect for spring! Those butterflies and flowers go perfectly together!

Here for You Card by Samantha Mann

Here for You Card by Samantha Mann | Beautiful Wings Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

Here for You Butterfly Card

Today we are sharing this lovely butterfly card by Samantha! She created those lovely butterflies using images from our Beautiful Wings Stamp Set and stamping them onto vellum with distress oxide inks. Then she embossed over them using clear embossing powder. Don't they look so delicate and pretty? For her card base she cut out a heart using our Darling Hearts Die Set and used it as a stencil to ink inside. Then she added lots of fun splatters using distress inks and water. She finished it off with the "I'm here for you" sentiment from the Newton's Support Stamp Set, embossed in white on a little black banner and some black and white washi tape.

This card would be perfect for sending to someone who needs a little support to let them know you care!

Thank you Samantha for the inspirational card today! To say hello to Samantha and see more of her awesome creations, you can visit Samantha's Blog, Sam's Scrap Candy!

She foiled the pattern on the clear sheet using Deco Foil in Spring Green from Therm O Web and a heat laminator to make the yummy green pattern on the front of the shaker! Once the shaker portion of her card was created she added florals to her card using our Lovely Blooms Stamp Set and Die Set.  She stamped the mason jar and flowers from the Lovely Blooms Stamp Set, colored them in gorgeous bright colors, and trimmed them out with the coordinating Lovely Blooms Die set. She assembled them into a big and beautiful Bouquet in front of the shaker window. Then she finished the card off with the "thinking of you" sentiment from the Beautiful Wings Stamp Set. How lovely!

Butterfly Card by August Guest Designer Neha Parab

Today we have our first post from our August Guest Designer, Neha Parab! We are so excited to have Neha designing with us this month! Her gorgeous cards and fun techniques are definitely going to inspire you! We can't wait to share what she creates with our stamps! Keep reading to find out more about Neha today and to check out her first project below!

Hello! My name is Neha Parab and I am beyond excited to be a guest designer for Newton’s Nook Designs! I go by the name CompletelyHandmade in the crafty world. I am a Software Developer by profession who is also doing Masters in Healthcare Management. Work and school keep me from crafting all day long, but I still manage to get some time working with stamps and ink, blog about it and make videos! I live in Shrewsbury Massachusetts. I have been crafting since I was a kid. My mom encouraged me to make birthday cards for my dad, brother, cousins and grandparents. My dad always purchased a huge bundle of cards before Diwali, which is a major festival in India, so that he could mail it to friends and family. These acts have rooted the liking for handmade gift giving in me.

My card making style varies very much. I love making my own backgrounds using Distress Inks, Stencils, texture pastes, watercolors, etc. The ink smooshing technique is my favorite! I’m so grateful for this opportunity here at Newton’s Nook! Thank you for having me as your guest! Hope you will like what I have prepared for you! :)

Hello Everyone!!!

I’m so excited to finally be able to share with you all today, that I am the Guest Designer for the month of August at Newton’s Nook Designs! The card I have today uses a mix of Newton's Nook products along with stencils & inks from other brands. Let's take a look.

Here is a close-up showing coloring on the butterfly image.

Butterfly Card by August Guest Designer Neha Parab | Beautiful Wings Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

Process:
I started by sponging ink using Memento Dew Drops through Tim Holtz Dot Fade stencil on 4 x 5 1/4 inches Strathmore Bristol paper card panel.

On another Bristol card panel, I stamped various butterfly images from the Newton's Nook Designs Beautiful Wings stamp set using black ink.

I colored all of those images using Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens and then fuzzy cut them.

I arranged all the images on the stenciled card panel , then decided the position for the sentiments.

The sentiments are a combination of stamps from the Beautiful Wings Stamp Set & Newton Loves Cake Stamp Set sets.

Finally I attached all the butterfly images to the card panel using foam tape.

Lastly I finished the card by attaching the entire card panel to an A2 sized top folding card base.

I absolutely love this stamp set as it reminds me of all the quilling I did in the past!

I hope you all liked it. I would love to hear back from you all. Thank you very much for taking your time to notice it. Hope to hear again from all of u soon. Till then take care. :) PS: If my posts inspire you to create something on similar lines, I feel highly flattered. But please, do respect the effort I take in conceptualizing and executing, please give a direct link to my work when you are inspired by mine. Thanks for understanding :-)
