Totally Rad Birthday Card by Zsofia Molnar

RAD Birthday Greetings!

Today we are sharing a Totally RAD birthday card by Zsofia featuring items from our new Retro Party! release. 

This card uses the following products:

Party On! Stamp Set

New Retro Paper Pack
Frames & Tags Die Set

Circle Frames Die Set

To create this card Zsofia chose a fun retro patterned paper from the New Retro Paper Pack. She cut out  the zig zag edged panel from white cardstock using the large outer frame die from from our Frames & Tags Die Set. She then cut the patterned paper piece to fit inside, adding a thin black border around the edge. 

Next, she stamped the words and sentiment form the Party On! Stamp Set, embossing them in white onto black cardstock and trimming them into thin strips. She cut out a large yellow circle using our Circle Frames Die Set and cut a smaller circle from the center using the same die set. 

Then she layered everything together to create a fun retro-themed birthday greeting! A few shiny gems create the perfect finishing touch.

Music Notes Stencil Inspiration by Jennifer Jackson

Music Notes Stencil Inspiration

Hello! Jen here today and I'm two cards using our new Music Notes Stencil. We just added this stencil as part of our Retro Product Release, but I wanted to show some ways you can use it with other products too!

1. Aloha card

For my first card I paired the Music Notes Stencil with our Aloha Newton Stamp Set. I thought the kitty playing the ukulele would be a perfect fit! I stamped and colored the kitty using alcohol markers before creating the rest of my card. Of course I had to color the kitty orange to look like Newton! 

Next, I cut a rounded rectangle to hold my scene using our Frames & Flags Die Set. I then stenciled the fun retro sun from the Retro Sun & Palms Stencil Set in bright fun colors, letting it bleed off the edge. 

I decided where I wanted the kitty to sit on the card and stenciled some music from the Music Notes Stencil so that it would look like it was floating from where he sat. I used some washi tape to mask off the areas of the stencil that I didn't want to ink up. Then I adhered on the kitty with some dimensional tape and added the "aloha" sentiment underneath the music notes. 

I added a bit of pattern using the fun teal print from the New Retro Paper Pack, cutting it out with the large zig zag edged frame from the Frames & Tags Die Set. Then I mounted everything onto a purple cardstock base. 

2. Happy Birthday Card

For my second card I created a fun birthday card featuring the Music Notes Stencil with our Newton's Birthday Trio Stamp Set. First, I stamped and colored that cute trio of cats singing "Happy Birthday" from the Newton's Birthday Trio Stamp Set. To color them I used watercolor markers.

Next, I created a fun music background. I cut out a square panel using our Basic Frames Die Set. Then I used the Music Notes Stencil with pink ink to create a fun music background. I added extra pink ink to the bottom to create a solid pink area to place the image over. 

I used the same teal print from the New Retro Paper Pack in the background. This time I cut it to a 4" x 5 1/4" rectangle using a paper trimmer. I then adhered all the layers onto a white card base, adding some dimensional tape behind the kitties. 

I hope you can see how versatile the new Music Notes Stencil is! This stencil will go with so many fun music related themes!

Cat Window Card by Samantha Mann

Window Sitting!

If you have cats you know how much they love sitting in windows. Today Samantha used the cats from our Cat Silhouettes Die Set and created a unique window scene with die cuts. 

To create the window frame she used the die from our Frames & Tags Die Set, cutting it out from gray cardstock. She inked up a panel to go behind the frame using distress oxide inks in shades of pink. This created her window.

For the wall she created "wallpaper" by using a piece of patterned paper with tiny gray hearts from our Love & Meows Paper Pad. She cut the paper just a bit short of the card height to leave a white space for the "floor." 

To create the curtain she cut out a big curve using our Land Borders Die Set with some textured vellum paper. She added a sash by using the Land Borders Die Set again with pink paper, cutting it twice close together to create a curve with two stitching lines. This is such a unique use of the Land Borders Die!! She added a pink bow using the bow from our Pines & Holly Die Set.

She assembled the window and curtain onto her card and added the trio of black kitties that were cut out using the Cat Silhouettes Die Set. The finishing touch is the sentiment "from MEOW to you" from our Cat-itude Stamp Set. She embossed the sentiment in white onto a banner that was cut out using our Bookmark Die Set.

This scene is so adorable and it would be great to send to a cat lover. The touch of pink would even make it a great Valentine card!

Snowy Thank You Card by Amanda Wilcox

Thanks a Latte!

Do you need to send out thank you cards to friends and family who have treated you over the holidays? Today we are sharing inspiration for a winter themed thank you card by Amanda!

This card features the following products:

Frames & Tags Die Set

Amanda stamped the cute trio of mugs using our Cup of Cocoa Stamp Set. She colored them in shades of blue and green and added glitter for a touch of sparkle. She cut the images out using the Cup of Cocoa Die Set. 

She used the Snowfall Die Set to cut out white snowflakes and then layered the mugs over the centers for a fun wintery look. 

For her card background she covered a panel with blue ink splatters and then cut it our using the zig zag edged rectangle die from our Frames & Tags Die Set. She layered all of the snowflakes and mugs over the background and added the sentiment, die cut out using our Thanks a Latte Die Set.

We hope this card inspires you to send out some wintery themed thank you cards this season!

Make a Wish Birthday Card by Donna Idlet

Make a Wish! 

Today we are taking a break from holiday cards to share a lovely birthday card by Donna! This card features our Gift Builder Die Set along with some of our Frames & Tags Die Set and birthday stamps and paper!

Donna used our Frames & Tags Die Set with navy blue paper and cut out the large frame and the smaller inner frame with windows using navy blue paper. She then used fun patterns Birthday Time Paper Pad and cut them out using our Frames & Tags Die Set for the birthday patterns inside the frame. 

For the birthday message she chose sentiments from our Birthday Essentials Stamp Set. She stamped the "make a wish" onto a stitched rectangle from our Basic Frames Die Set. 

Last, she added the adorable gift using our Gift Builder Die Set. She used a striped paper from our Birthday Time Paper Pad along with pink cardstock for the ribbon and bow. 

This birthday card would be perfect for a birthday any time of year! We love how the die cut birthday gift goes perfectly with the paper!

Bow-Wows of Sparkles and Holly! Card by Amanda Wilcox

Bow-Wows of Holly!

Today Amanda is sharing a holiday card filled with sparkle that is perfect for dog lovers! This card features our 'Tis the Season Toner Card Fronts and our Wreath Pups Stamp Set. 

To create that gorgeous sparkly background panel, Amanda used the peppermint striped panel from our 'Tis the Season Toner Card Fronts pack. She applied the red foil (you can use a minc or heat based laminator) and then cut the panel out using the zig zag edged die from our Frames & Tags Die Set. 

For the cute tag in the center of the card she stamped and colored the duo of dogs inside a big wreath from our Wreath Pups Stamp Set, cutting the image out with the coordinating Wreath Pups Die Set. She also added white gel pen accents to the image and a bit of shine to the berries. 

She then cut out a tag using our new Essential Tags Die Set. She inked the edges with blue distress ink and stamped the sentiment, also from the Wreath Pups Stamp Set along the bottom. 

We love this beautiful Christmas Card by Amanda! This layout with the shiny background creates the perfect backdrop for your favorite Christmas image. Simply change out the image on the tag to create a custom holiday card for anyone on your list!

Little Lilies Card by Samantha Mann

Just Because

Do you ever send a card to someone just because you are thinking of them? Samantha has created a beautiful floral card today featuring our Little Lilies Stamp Set and our Trailing Leaves Stencil, perfect for sending thoughtful wishes for anytime. 

To create this gorgeous card she started by stamping and coloring the stem of lilies from our Trailing Leaves Stencil multiple times. The lily image is great because it's so easy to color with just the white and green. Samatha did add a bit of shading to the white areas with light gray and added accents with a white gel pen. She then cut out the florals using the coordinating Little Lilies Die Set.

For her card base she started with a white panel that was the same height as her card and just a little narrower than the width of the card. She cut out three purple glitter rectangles using our  Cheerful Brights Glitter Cardstock with our Frames & Tags Die Set. She adhered the glitter rectangles to the white panel and then used our Trailing Leaves Stencil to add leaves over the top with white texture paste! Wow! So pretty! She arranged the lilies over the fun background panel, layering them along the left side.

The final touch was the sentiment "just because" which she embossed in black onto a black banner that was cut out using our Frames & Flags Die Set.

We love the textures of the glitter and the stencil paste layered together! We hope you will give this fun technique a try!

Cheerful Daisy Card by Larissa Heskett

Cheerful Daisy Card!

Today we are sharing a beautiful floral card by Larissa that uses our Floral Delights Stamp Set with simple ink blending! This is a technique you will definitely want to try! 

Larissa starts out by stamping the tall daisy image from our Floral Delights Stamp Set several times onto white cardstock, embossing the blooms with white embossing powder.  Then she uses various distress inks and small blending brushes to add color to the blooms. You don't have to be perfect with the color application, just blend around the outlines to give a fun halo effect.

Isn't it gorgeous how the white outlines pop once the color is added over the top?

Next she cuts the pretty panel out using our Basic Frames Die Set to give it a fun stitched edge. She layers it over a fun pink polka dot paper from our Pastel Basics Paper Pad that was cut out using our Frames & Tags Die Set to give it the zig zag edge. 

Last she added the sentiment from our Daffodils Stamp Set onto a circle cut out with our Circle Frames Die Set. 

We hope you will try this technique and quick and easy cards! The end result is simply gorgeous!

Beep! Boop! Card by Samantha Mann

BOTS of Love!!

Today are sharing a fun way to send BOTS of love this Valentine's Day with a robot themed card by Samantha! 

For this adorable card she stamped and colored three fun robots from our Love Bots Stamp Set. This design features not just robots but also robot dogs and cats for an extra touch of whimsy. So cute! She colored the images using grays with pink and red highlights and cut them out using the coordinating Love Bots Die Set.

For her card she created a fun ombré background using shades of pink distress inks and then added water and white paint splatters over the top. She added a white frame cut out using our Frames & Tags Die Set and arranged all the robots inside the windows. The sentiment "I like you a BOT" was stamped onto the banner from our A7 Frames & Banners Die Set and added onto the top.

Ghostly Greetings Card by Donna Idlet

Ghostly Greetings!

Don't be scared! This ghostly Halloween card by Donna is too cute to be spook! 

This card features the cute dog and cat ghosts from our Ghostly Good Times Stamp Set. Donna stamped and embossed the images onto vellum to give them a fun transparency. What a perfect way to add a ghostly effect to the card.  The images were cut out using the coordinating Ghostly Good Times Die Set. 

Behind the ghosts is a spooky scene from one of the pages in our Halloween Time Paper Pad. She cut the paper to fit just inside the zig zag frame from our Frames & Tags Die Set. The finishing touch is the sentiment "Ghostly Greetings" from our Spooky Sentiments Hot Foil Plates. She added hot foil to the sentiment and then cut it out using our Banner Duo Die Set.

Stay Spooky Card by Amanda Wilcox

Stay Spooky! 

Today we're getting in the Halloween mood with this cute and spooky card by Amanda featuring some of our favorite Halloween products!

This creative card features our Jack-O'-Lantern Stencil Set and Ghostly Good Times Stamp Set. She started out by creating a that fun background using the Jack-O'-Lantern Stencil Set onto light orange paper.  This stencil set has three layers (one for the pumpkins, one for the scary faces and one for the stems). She stenciled each layer with a different color using the etching on each stencil to align them perfectly. She then cut out the completed background using the zig zag edged die from our Frames & Tags Die Set. She also cut a black frame using the same die set to layer on top. 

Next she stamped the adorable ghost dog and cat from our Ghostly Good Times Stamp Set onto vellum and embossed them in white. The transparency of the vellum really gives them the perfect ghostly look! They were die cut out using the coordinating Ghostly Good Times Die Set. 

Last she adds the "Stay Spooky" sentiment from the Ghostly Good Times Stamp Set. She die cut the tag from our Frames & Tags Die Set and stamped the message in orange onto it. A bit of orange twine and a pumpkin embellishment finish it off perfectly. 

We love the combination of cute and spooky on this card!

Happy Meowr Cards by Jennifer Jackson

It's Happy MEOWR! 

Hello! Jen here today and I've been having so much fun with our NEW Newton's Happy Meowr Stamp Set! We snuck this new design into our shop over Memorial Day Weekend but we didn't get a chance to share it on our blog yet so I thought I'd show you what I created using this fun new design! 

For my first card started with the adorable image of Newton drinking a summer drink from a fishbowl! On this one I imagined him drinking a lemonade. I used watercolor markers to color the kitty in shades of gray and added bright yellow to the water in the bowl. I hope the fish likes lemonade too! I also stamped and cut out the sunglasses to add onto the kitty. 

Behind the kitty I inked up a panel using shades of yellow and then die cut it using our Basic Frames Die Set to make it into a big banner. I added the sentiment "It's Happy Meowr Somewhere!" onto a speech bubble that was cut out using our Speech Bubbles Die Set. 

For the background I repeatedly stamped all the little images that are included with this set in a random pattern and then addd splashes of color over them. I then cut it out with our Frames & Tags Die Set to give it that fun zig zag edge. I love how this turned out! It's so fun and cheerful for summer! 

For my second card I created a fun summer theme and added some waves:

I used the same image from our NEW Newton's Happy Meowr Stamp Set again to start out. I used watercolor markers agin but this time I colored the kitty orange (just like our Newton). This time his drink is blue. Maybe it's a summer punch or blue raspberry flavor? I cut the image out using the coordinating Newton's Happy Meowr Die Set. 

For the background I used our Waves & Splashes Stencil to create layers of fun waves. Then I cut the panel out using the rectangle from our Basic Frames Die Set. I also added a stripe of yellow polka dot paper along the bottom of the panel using our Bright Basics Paper Pad. 

Lastly, I used our Circle Frames Die Set to add a scalloped circle of vellum behind the kitty and a  yellow circle next to him with the sentiment "Cheers to Summer!"
