Retiring Products Feature Week - Day 4 - Nakaba & Ellen

All week our design team is sharing inspiration using some of their favorite products from our retiring list and today we are featuring projects by Naki and Ellen!

Our first project today is this gorgeous sea themed card by Naki:

Naki created a gorgeous nautical project today that has so many fun details! She created that lovely bottle image using our retiring Message in a Bottle Die Set and filled it with sea colored beads. Inside the bottle she layered the image of the kraken from the retiring Message in a Bottle Stamp Set to layer over the top, coloring it in soft yellow. She also added the scroll from Message in a Bottle Stamp Set and added the sentiment onto the scroll. The little anchor in front completes the underwater scene and she even added a tiny chain for an extra fun detail! The waves in the background were created using our Waves Stencil

Next, we have a beautiful fairytale scene on this card by Ellen: 

If you love fairytales this gorgeous scene by Ellen will steal your heart! She created a scene full of adventure featuring the knight and dragon from our retiring Knight's Quest Stamp Set. She added more elements to her scene from other retiring sets. She use the the castle from the retiring Once Upon a Princess Stamp Set, the tree from the retiring Fox Hollow Stamp Set, and the scroll from the retiring Message in a Bottle Stamp Set. She did some gorgeous coloring on all these images with copic markers and then used the coordinating retiring die sets to cut them out (Knight's Quest Die Set, Once Upon a Princess Die Set, Message in a Bottle Die Set and Fox Hollow Die Set). 

The beautiful landscape was created but cutting out grass, land and water with our Land Borders Die Set and Sea Borders Die Set. In the background she added an orange sunny sky using our Sunscape Stencil. She also added that lovely postage edge around the whole long image by cutting out several panels with our Framework Die Set and lining them up for a long border.

Retiring Products Feature Week - Day 2 - Amanda & Zsofia

All week our design team will be sharing inspiration using some of their favorite products from our retiring list and today we are featuring projects by Amanda and Zsofia!

Amanda created this delightful raccoon card using our retiring Raccoon Rascals Stamp Set:

The two raccoons on this card by Amanda are so cute and playful together! She used the retiring Raccoon Rascals Stamp Set, stamping the images of the raccoon in a trash can and the one hanging from a tree branch.  She colored the image in lovely neutral tones, adding in white gel pen accents. The images were cut out using the Raccoon Rascals Die Set (also retiring) and added to her card. For the card, she used our Tree Rings Stencil to create a fun layer of textured wood. This panel was also cut out using our Framework Die Set to give it a fun postage edge. She also added the sentiment "Wanna grab lunch" from the Raccoon Rascals Stamp Set, embossed onto a purple banner that was cut out using our Frames & Flags Die Set.

  Zsofia couldn't choose which fun retiring product to feature today so she created two fun projects! 

For her first project, Zsofia created a sweet square card using the adorable hedgehog friends from our retiring Hedgehog Hollow Stamp Set. She stamped the two cute hedgehogs, mushroom and ladybug and colored them with alcohol markers. She used the Hedgehog Hollow Die Set, also retiring, to cut the images out and added them to a fun summer scene. For the scene, she used our Frames Squared Die Set to create a scallop edged square and added grass using our Land Borders Die Set along the bottom edge. In the sky she added the sun and clouds using our Sky Scene Builders Die Set. What a perfect card for sending a cherry hello!

Next, Zsofia used our retiring Wedding Frills Stamp Set to create a gorgeous wedding card! She embossed the lovely medallion image with rose gold embossing powder and added the "happily ever after" in the center. For the background, she embossed the lacy floral stamp from the same set, and added soft pink ink and splatters over the top! Don't forget to purchase the coordinating Wedding Frills Die Set too!

Day filled with Surprises Raccoon Card by Jennifer Jackson

A Day Filled with Surprises!

Hello! Jen here today with a cute raccoon card using our Raccoon Rascals Stamp Set! To make this card I started out by stamping the cute little raccoon on the branch onto watercolor paper. This image is fun because you can stamp it with the raccoon right side up or upside down. I stamped it with the raccoon upside down and then added the bird sitting on his butt! I stamped the sentiment below him too.  Then colored the image using watercolor markers, adding a bit of blue sky around him. Then I added some distress ink to the edges of the paper to add a little extra dimension. 

For the card, I started with a kraft colored card base. Then I used a piece of blue patterned paper from my scrap bin and added some clouds stamped in blue on top of it. The cloud stamp is also from the Raccoon Rascals Stamp Set. I layered it with a piece of green patterned paper, a piece of doily and some twine to finish it off! This would be a sweet card to send a friend any time of year!

If you like to cut out your images with the coordinating dies, we did just add in a coordinating die set for this design so you can check that out too!

Raccoon Card by Holly Endress

Wanna Grab Lunch? 

Today we are sharing a fun raccoon card by Holly!  Her card features that adorable raccoon getting into the food in the trash can from our Raccoon Rascals Stamp Set. She colored the image with copic markers and fussy cut him out to add onto her card. For her card base she created a fun watercolor effect using Distress Oxide inks and then layered clouds over the top using the Cloudy Sky Stencil with some white embossing paste. For her sentiment she used "wanna grab lunch" from the Raccoon Rascals Stamp Set and embossed it with white on a black banner. The banner was cut out using the Frames & Flags Die Set.  Doesn't that sentiment paired with the funny raccoon in the trash can make you smile! So cute! She finished her card off with some striped washi tape up the side.

Truly Grateful Raccoon Tag by Naki Rager

Truly Grateful! 

Today Naki created this adorable Fall tag featuring that cute trio raccoons from our Raccoon Rascals Stamp Set!  She colored those cuties in shades of brown and grey and then gave each one a brightly colored face! She added a tiny feather to each of them using the Points & Plumes Die Set. She fussy cut the image out to add it to her tag. On the tag she also stamped the "truly grateful" sentiment from the Shades of Autumn Stamp Set. She also dressed up the tag with a cute little circle tag cut from the Tags Times Two die set, stamped with the "from ALL of us" sentiment from the Raccoon Rascals Stamp Set. So cute!

Newton's Nook Designs & Xyron Inspiration Week - Day 2 with Amanda & Holly

Today is day two of our inspiration week with Xyron! Each day we will have fresh inspiration using Newton's Nook Designs products with Xyron adhesives on the NND blog and Xyron will be featuring  projects as well on the Xyron facebook page! First up is the is This awesome Scene by Amanda:

For her card, Amanda used our Winston's Lake House Stamp Set to create this amazing relaxing scene! She colored Winston in his cute adirondack chair along with some lily pads and cattails and trimmed them out using the coordinating Winston's Lake House Die Set. Then she created an amazing scene behind him, using wave dies from our Sea Borders Die Set trimmed to fit in a big circle. She also used our new Starfield Stencil to created the fun starry sky in the background! She used the Teresa Collins Mega Runner by Xyron to put it all together!

Next we have an adorable Raccoon Card by Holly:

For this fun card, Holly used that fun trio of raccoons from our Raccoon Rascals Stamp Set. She colored them and fussy cut them out to add to her card along with the little birdie and clouds from the same set. She created that amazing bold background using Distress Oxide inks! Then She added the "Happy Birthday from All of us" Sentiment using words from the Raccoon Rascals Stamp Set. Such a fun birthday card! She assembled all the pieces using the Tape Runner by by Xyron.

Happy Birthday Card by Yukari Yoshioka

Happy Birthday!

Cards by Yukari always make me smile and this one is no exception! She used the cute raccoon hanging from the branch from the Raccoon Rascals stamp set and fussy cut him out to put him in front of that lovely starry sky! She also added googly eyes on him which gives such a fun bit of whimsy to the card! For the sentiment, she use the big word "Happy" from the Simply Seasonal stamp set and added the smaller "birthday" below it. This is such a fun card!

Sadly we have another farewell today. This is Yuki's last post as a Design Team member! We have really enjoyed having her on our team for the last year and were a fan of her work even before that!  Her cards always make us smile! She has such clever combinations of images and uses stunning color combos! We are so sad to see her go but we've enjoyed having her be part of our team! We definitely wish her the very best in her future endeavors and will be checking out her blog Handmade by Yuki often to say hello and we hope you will too!

Hallo everyone! It's Ellen here with unfortunately the last guest post from me this month. It's very sad that this is already my last post, I had a lot of fun and hope you liked it too.

Today I like to share another scene card and a giveaway... This card features three different stamp sets: Raccoon Rascals, Fox Hollow and Winter Tails.

Happy Birthday from 3 Rascals!!

This adorable birthday card by Larissa will make your Friday a little brighter! She used the cute trio of raccoons from our new Raccoon Rascals stamp set as the focal point of her card. I love how she colored them and gave them funny little googlie eyes! She also added a big panel of burlap to the back of her card to go with our current inky paws challenge (see below). I love the fun, woodsy feel this card has! It would be a great card to give to a guy too!

Happy Birthday Card with August Guest Designer Mindy Baxter

Hi again. Happy Monday! It's Mindy from My Creative Scoop.

Today I have a super cute card using this brand new stamp from Raccoon Rascals set.. I love the way his fur turned out. I really wanted this cutie to be my focal point so I didn't add too much to the card. Just a little twine and dimension. I used my Copic Markers W's, warm greys. I love the texture I created and how I made tiny little flicks on the outer part of the raccoon to create that texture and really bring the fur to life.
