Love Owl-ways Card by Crafty Math Chick

Love Owl-ways Card by Crafty Math Chick | Stamps by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Lovely Owl Card!

Today Crafty Math-Chick combined several of our fun stamp sets to create this sweet owl card! The owl on the right is from the Magical Dreams stamp set and the owl on the left and the "Love OWLways" sentiment are from the Sweetheart Tails stamp set. The branch that the owls are sitting is from the Hanging Around stamp set. I love the way she combined all these fun images to create this sweet little scene! She also added in the die-cut arrow using our new Points & Plumes die set

Happy Halloween Cards by Newton's Nook Designs

Halloween Shaker Card using Boo Crew by Newton's Nook Designs

Happy Halloween!

Hope everyone is having a fun Halloween filled with treats today! I'm sharing 3 fun Halloween cards today that I haven't had a chance to post yet using Boo Crew and Magical Dreams  (by the way - both these sets are on sale for $9.99 - only until friday  - so make sure to head over to www.newtonsnookdesigns.com and grab them up!)

The first one is a shaker card. If you haven't ever tried a shaker card you can learn how to make one using my shaker card tutorial post here.  For this shaker I filled it with spider sequins and orange micro beads! Isn't it fun? Then, of course I had to add on the cute owl from the Boo Crew Stamp set!

Next up, I tried out some punch art. For this card, I used a circle and a rounded rectangle punch to make the cauldron, then I cut the frog off from the mushroom in the Magical Dreams stamp set and added him onto the top. I also stamped the flames from the dragon in the Magical Dreams set coming out of the cauldron.

Here is a close-up. I also added on some glitter with copic spica glitter pens:

Here is one last fun Halloween Card - For this one I used various oval punches to create a pumpkin patch for that cute ghost kitty from Boo Crew to hang out in.

Here's a close-up -- I also used the "meooooow" on a little flag that I attached with some twine! I love how this turned out!!

Fire-Breathing Dragon Card!

Fire Dragon card using Magical Dreams Stamp set

Watch out -- He's hot!

This dragon from the Magical Dreams set is Sooo much fun to color! I love that since dragons are mythical and no one knows what color they are they can be any color your heart desires! It's always fun to play with colors and try new combinations. This is the first "firey" colored dragon I've created. I used Inktense watercolor pencils on watercolor paper to color this guy with hot reds and oranges! Doesn't he look fun? I love the way he turned out. Then I put him onto a card with some great fall colors -- and those fun "gems" I found at the local craft store were the perfect touch of "bling" to set it all off!

Spell Casting Wizard Card

Wizard card using Magical Dreams Stamp set from Newton's Nook Designs

You Cast a Spell on Me!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! Today I'm sharing a wizard card I made using the Magical Dreams stamp set! I colored this fun guy with copics and added him to this blue card with some sparkly glitter paper in blue and copper! I also paper pierced the "potion" with the blue glitter paper. This one looks so much "sparklier" in person... he he he. But I love how it turned out. This wizard is so much fun to color! I think this would be a great card to send anyone - it could work for almost any occasion!

Magical Day Dragon Card!

Dragon Card using Magical Dreams Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs

Have a Magical Day!

I think this might be one of my favorite cards using that cute dragon from the Magical Dreams stamp set! I love how versatile this set is - you can make either masculine or feminine cards with it! Did you know this set is on SALE this week? We're celebrating world card-making day with a sale all week long. Check out this set and our other sale items on our Newton's Nook Designs Sale page. Plus use code WCD15 for 15 % off your whole order until Saturday at Midnight!

For this card, I wanted to make it a little more "girly" so I choose greens and purples as my color palette. I stamped the dragon on kraft card stock and colored him with inktense colored pencils.  Then I added him onto this card with shades of purple and green patterned paper!  I think this turned out perfectly!
