Christmas Tree Card by Special Guest Brennan Keane!

Today we a special guest post to share. We are featuring more inspiring work from the talented young Brennan Keane

In the wise words of Adele, “Hello”. Ok, since that’s out of my system, hello everyone! My name is Brennan and I am so excited to be back for another guest design with Newton’s Nook! I am a 15 year old teenage boy cardmaker (which is about as rare as a flying pig) who absolutely loves floral stamps. However, today I’m making a Christmas card with the new holiday release! When I saw the Scandi Christmas Stamp Set, I knew it would make such a beautiful card!

I decided to stamp three of the Christmas tree ornaments, using Catherine Pooler inks in the colors Oh Boy, Sixteen Candles, and Mardi Gras. I then used the coordinating Scandi Christmas Die Set to cut out the trees. Thinking about it, these trees have little floral images, so maybe that’s why I like them so much! To make my background, I used some liquid colors and LOTS of water. I also added some white splatter (or spatter, I guess…) to add a little more interest to the background. To finish off the card I added the trees to the background, which pop off of it so well, and added the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Holiday Stockings Stamp Set. I think using the same colors in the background, just darker versions, really made the trees pop and I am so happy with how this card came out!

I really hope that you all enjoyed reading this post today! This new release was absolutely amazing, and I just want to thank Sam and Jen for giving me another guest design spot! Have a great rest of your day, and as always, HAPPY CRAFTING!

Brennan
