Hi there! My name is Amanda and I'm over the moon excited to be guest designing for Newton's Nook in November. I'm married with one daughter and three fur babies at home, 2 cats and a pup. I've been crafting my whole life but really making cards since I was in high school. In the last few years I decided to take my card making to another level and really started watching tutorials and teaching myself new techniques. It's been a great adventure so far and I'm excited where it will lead me in the future. I hope you enjoy my month of sharing and might hop over to follow me on Instagram: @twiddlersnook, Facebook: @twiddlersnook or my blog: twiddlersnook.blog. Happy crafting everyone!!!

I'm so excited to be guest designing with Newton's Nook for the month of November. This couldn't have come at a more perfect time than to be able to dive into their brand new Christmas release and start creating!

When I saw all of these great images, there was no way I could choose, I wanted it all. This whole release is out of this world! Today I'm sharing a beautiful card using the Main Street stamps and dies and the Snowfall stencil.

I began this whole card by stamping, coloring and die cutting my Main Street Christmas. Then after blending distress inks on a white panel, I inked white over the Snowfall stencil. Then using my image as a guide, stamped and heat embossed Santa and his reindeer up in the sky with silver embossing powder. Finally, I splattered the background with pearl and gold watercolor.

Next, I popped my image up with foam tape, and stamped and heat embossed my sentiment in white below the buildings. For finishing touches I added glossy accents to the windows in all of the buildings.

I just love what this does for the overall look of the card. It's got metallic shimmer mimicking snowfall, glossy windows to catch your eye and those colorful buildings to cheer up the dark night sky.

I'm in love with the final product and so excited to try some other ideas I have with this set.

I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!

- Amanda
