Being Awesome Card by Nakaba Rager

Unicorn Kitty Card by Nakaba Rager | Newton's Costume Party Stamp Set and Starfield Stencil by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

Unicorn Kitty!

Today we are sharing a super cute unicorn card by Naki! She used the kitty and unicorn costume from the Newton's Costume Party Stamp Set. She colored the kitty in soft grey using no-line coloring and then added the fun unicorn hat coloring it in soft rainbow colors. She trimmed out the pieces using the Newton's Costume Party Die Set and assembled them for her card. For her sentiment she added in the cute saying from the Believe in Unicorns Stamp Set. Doesn't that sentiment go perfectly with this image! So cute! She also added some sparkle in the the background using the Starfield Stencil with sparkly embossing paste to give a fun magical touch! She finished it off with three strips of tiny washi tape and some sequins! What great details!

She colored the image with copic markers and fussy cut him out to add onto her card. For her card base she created a fun watercolor effect using Distress Oxide inks and then layered clouds over the top using the Cloudy Sky Stencil with some white embossing paste. For her sentiment she used "wanna grab lunch" from the Raccoon Rascals Stamp Set and embossed it with white on a black banner. Newton's Sweetheart Card by February's Guest Designer Valliam

Hello There! I'm back again with my fourth and final guest post for this month. I had a wonderful time being a guest designer for Newton’s Nook! Huge thanks to Jennifer, Samantha and the team of Newton’s Nook Design for giving me this great opportunity. My sincere thanks and love to all your nice comments on my cards. It’s been a great month for me!
Feline Good Kitty Card by February's Guest Designer Valliam | Newton's Sweetheart Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

For today's card, I decided to play with the Newton’s Sweetheart stamps set again. I couldn’t resist playing with these lovey dovey kitty stamps on this set. This time, I picked the stamp where Newton and his sweet girlfriend sharing a bottle of drink. I stamped and colored them using distress inks. For a change, I made them to drink Orange Milkshake 😋. Then, I cut them out using the coordinating die from Newton’s Sweetheart Die Set.

To have a monochromatic look, I used Kraft as the main color for my card. I used the Darice brick wall embossing folder to emboss the Kraft card and inked the edges using distress inks. I just love how the bricked texture turned out!

Feline Good Kitty Card by February's Guest Designer Valliam | Newton's Sweetheart Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Then, I used the stitched rectangle die from Frames & Flag Die Set to create the focal panel. I did a background stamping on it using the little paw stamp from Newton’s Sweetheart stamps set.

Next, I used two sentiment banners from Frames & Flag Die Set to create a panel for the sentiment. I stamped the sentiment from Newton’s Sweetheart stamps set on the stitched banner and adhered it on top the plain one and embellished with two gold brad. Finished off the card by adding a little red heart on top of the kitties. I hope you’ve enjoyed my take on this card!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hope to see you all again. Have a great day! Hugs!
 :)Thanks! Valliam

Today is she's sharing how to make than amazing layered scene in a card:
Interactive Easter Card by Ellen Haxelmans | Newton's Easter Basket Stamp Set and other stamps and dies by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade
Here are step-by-step instructions on how to make the interactive layers for this card:

Interactive Easter Card by Ellen Haxelmans | Frames & Flags and Sky Borders Die Sets by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

Step one: Die cut the biggest scalloped square from the Frames & Flags Die Set out a colored paper. Also cut a square out of the rectangle so you get a frame.

Step two:
Cut also a rectangle in the middle of your card base.

Step three: Cut out a cloud border out of a second card base using the Sky Borders Die Set.

Step four:  Glue the sides (that didn’t get any cut) from the two card-bases on top of each other.

Step five: Cut out of the transparency the scalloped rectangle and glue it on top of your frame from the card base. On top of the transparency you glue down the frame from step one.

Now that you have the card layers, you can create your scene any way you would like! For the inside panel of her card today, Ellen created a lovely purple sky and added in a hill using our Land Borders Die Set and a row of houses from our Snow Globe Scene Stamp Set in the far background. then she added in some taller trees from the Fox Hollow Stamp Set and the cute Easter Egg and kitty image from the Newton's Easter Basket Stamp Set. Then she finished it off with some lovely grass cut out using our Land Borders Die Set.

On the front panel of the card she layered another tree from the Fox Hollow Stamp Set, some Easter eggs from the Newton's Easter Basket Stamp Set and that cute bunny from the Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set on top of the transparency window!

Thinking of Mew Card by Samantha Mann

Thinking of Mew Card by Samantha Mann | Newton's Sick Day Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

Get Well Wishes for MEW!

Do you know someone who's been sick? The flu has been awful this year so I bet you know someone who could use a cheerful get well wish! Today Samantha is sharing an adorable get well card that would be perfect to send to a friend who's not feeling well!  She used that sweet kitty with a thermometer and cold pack from our  Newton's Sick Day Stamp Set and colored him using Zig watercolor markers. That cheery yellow blanket is sure to make someone smile! She also colored the little tissue box and fussy cut both images out to add to her card. For the card base she used distress inks to make a lovely pink ombré corner.  She finished it off with the "thinking of mew" sentiment.

Thank you Samantha for the cheerful card today! To say hello to Samantha and see more of her awesome creations, you can visit Samantha's Blog, Sam's Scrap Candy!

Coffee with Friends Card by Juliana Michaels

Coffee with Friends Card by Juliana Michaels | Newton Loves Coffee, Sending Hugs and Newton's Costume Party Stamp Sets by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

Time for a Coffee Break?

Today we have an adorable trio of kitties sharing coffee on this card by Juliana! She started out with the kitty using the french press from the Newton Loves Coffee Stamp Set. Then she added in the kitty from the Sending Hugs Stamp Set along with his coffee cup. This set is so awesome because the coordinating Sending Hugs Die Set Set cuts around the arms so the kitty can hold the coffee tucked inside them. Then to make it a fun trio she added in the kitty from the Newton's Costume Party Stamp Set. She used the Tumbling Hearts Stencil to make a fun coffee colored heart background and adde the "Coffee is always a good idea" sentiment from the Newton Loves Coffee Stamp Set. It's so pretty how the teal cardstock border matches the coffee mug wraps and gives the perfect pop of color!

Do you have several Newton Stamp Sets? We'd love to see how you'd combine them!

Thanks, Juliana, for the fun coffee inspiration today! To see more creations by Juliana, visit her over to her blog, 17 Turtles!

Ear-resistable Bunny Card & Video by Maria Russell | Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

Ear-resistable Bunnies!

This adorable card by Maria today will definitely make you say "Awwww"!  She created this sweet little scene with using those cute little bunnies from the new Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set. She colored them in pale gray with pink ears noses and cheeks and trimmed them out with the coordinating Bitty Bunnies Die Set. She did the same with the cute little flowers and butterflies from this set and then she added them onto her card along with a pretty leafy oval die (from another company). Isn't that sunset background so gorgeous too!?

More than Naps Card by February Guest Designer Valliam

Hi there! Happy Monday! Hope you all had a fantastic weekend. I’m back again with my third card for Newton’s Nook. For this card, I used the Newston’s Naptime stamp set. This set is definitely an eye catcher! I’ve fell in love seeing him napping on top of the cozy blankets. He is too cute!
More than Naps Card by February Guest Designer Valliam | Newton's Naptime Stamp Set and die set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

I wanted him to be the focal point of my card. So I decided to use bright colors on the layers of blanket to make it pop. I stamped and colored the image using distress ink and die cut the image using the coordinating Newton’s Naptime die set. Next, I moved on to making the background. I wanted a contrast background for this card. So, I cut a stitched rectangle panel using Frames & Flags die set and inked it with Mowed Lawn and Wild Honey distress inks. Then, for the cloud I used the Stitched Cloud Border die set and inked it up with Salty Ocean distress ink. I stamped the sentiment on the cloud panel and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

More than Naps Card by February Guest Designer Valliam | Newton's Naptime Stamp Set and die set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade
I tried the inlaid die cutting technique to make a window with a little background scene for this card and it turned out great. I made the window frame using scalloped edge and stitched rectangle dies from Frames & Flags die set. Basically the negative part of this will be the frame. I made four frames and glued all of the layers together for added dimension.

I inlaid the background panel to the center of the frame which I made earlier. Since the frame was made of four layers, it give a little depth to background and then I inserted a piece of acetate sheet on top of the frame layers to give the window a glassy look. Unfortunately, I couldn't capture it on my picture. I finished off the card by adhering Newton on the foreground. That’s all for today. I hope you enjoyed my card today.

Thanks for stopping by and see you all again next Monday with my final card for Newton’s Nook. Have a great week!
Hugs! :)
Valliam
