Fairytale Tri-fold Card by Tatiana Trafimovich

Tri-folding story card!

Today we have a super cool card by Tatiana that tells a story! This card has three panels that fold out, each featuring a different character! To set the story she created a fun card front using the Sky Borders Die Set to trim a fun cloud border across the top. She also used some pieces that she had trimmed out from the Sky Borders Die Set as masks to created those layers of sponged blue clouds!

On the front of the card Tatiana used the cute little dragon from our Knight's Quest Stamp Set. She colored him and cut him out using the coordinating Knight's Quest Die Set.

When you open the card you next see a scene featuring the knight from our Knight's Quest Stamp Set. He's standing in front of those cute little topiaries from the Once Upon a Princess Stamp Set too! The fun cloud background continues too!

Open the card up to the third panel and you find this adorable scene with the Princess:

On this panel Tatiana used the princess, topiaries and castle from the Once Upon a Princess Stamp Set and the unicorn and rainbow from the Believe in Unicorns Stamp Set to make this adorable scene! She added in the sentiment from the Knight's Quest Stamp Set too! It's so awesome how all these sets work so perfectly together!

Newton Loves Cake Card by August Guest Designer Neha Parab

Hello Everyone!!!
Today I am back again with my last installment of card inspiration as Guest Designer at  Newton’s Nook Designs for the month of August!!! I really struggle a lot with critter cards as they need to be cute or tell some story through them. I wanted this card to be as special as the other three. So for this week's card I have used the Newton Loves Cake Stamp Set from Newton's Nook Designs. Lets' take a look at the card now.
Birthday Card with Cat and Cake by Neha Parab | Newton Loves Cake Stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Here is a close up of the cat showing the coloring
Birthday Card with Cat and Cake by Neha Parab | Newton Loves Cake Stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Process:
  1. I started off by stamping the the image from the  Newton Loves Cake stamp set on Strathmore Bristol cardstock.
  2. Then I colored the images using Zig clean color real brush pens (colors mentioned is description) & fuzzy cut them using scissors.
  3. Using Spellbinders Oval die, I die-cut an oval from a post-it not to create a mask.
  4. On a separate Strathmore Bristol card panel that's smaller than A2 size, I attached the negative of the die-cut oval post-it.
  5. Using Distress ink mini cubes I did some ink blending inside the oval area that was open through the mask. Then heavily sprayed it with water and added some salt on the wet surface and let it dry.
  6. Once the surface was dry, I scratched off the salt from the card panel .
  7. I added some doodled pattern around this oval using Sharpie black pen.
  8. Later I added a few splatters of Finetec gold watercolor on the card panel to add interest.
  9. Next I stamped the sentiment on a vellum strip using Versamark inkpad and heat embossed the sentiment in Hero Arts black embossing powder.
  10. Then I attached the vellum strip to the card panel using glue on the ends and tuck the vellum strip around the card panel.
  11. Finally I attached the colored image slightly over the vellum strip using foam tape,
  12. I finished the card by attaching the entire panel on an A2 sized top folding black card base and added a few sequins to the card  as finishing touches.
I had so much fun creating all these cards and I am really very grateful to all those who gave me this chance, stuck by my side  & appreciated my work.  I hope you all liked it. I would love to hear back from you all. Thank you very much for taking your time to notice it. Hope to hear again from all of  u soon. Till then take care. :) PS: If my posts inspire you to create something on similar lines, I feel highly flattered. But please, do respect the effort I take in conceptualizing and executing, please give a direct link to my work when you are inspired by mine. Thanks for understanding :-)

Space Cat light up card by Larissa Heskett | Cosmic Newton Stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs with Chibitronics lights | #newtonsnook #chibitronics

Larissa used the Chibitronics Starter Kit along with our Cosmic Newton stamp set to create a fun interactive space scene! This card has not one but TWO interactive elements! It lights up AND the space rocket moves along the slider! She started out creating a pretty night sky using distress inks with a bunch of little stars and a planet in the sky added in using our Cosmic Newton Stamp Set and coordinating Cosmic Newton Die Set. She added a moon in front and the image of Newton in his space rocket too! The "You're out of this world" sentiment is also from the Cosmic Newton Stamp Set. When you press on the moon the planet light sup orange and the stars light up yellow!

Star gazing Kitty light-up card by Maria Russell | Cosmic Newton Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs with Chibitronics lights | #newtonsnook #chibitronics

Maria used the Chibitronics Starter Kit along with our Cosmic Newton  and Cultivated Cacti stamp sets to create a fun interactive space scene! I love the 'push here' added to let the recipient know to press that cactus! So clever!  The starry sky she created using our Cosmic Newton Stamp Set and really pops against that black landscape she created with the Land Border Dies. The "Never Stop Dreaming" sentiment is also from the Cosmic Newton Stamp Set. When you press on the cactus the moon lights in a brilliant white!

I couldn't resist creating a quick light-up card too!

Birthday Cake & Kitty light-up card by Jennifer Jackson | Newton Loves Cake Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs with Chibitronics lights | #newtonsnook #chibitronics

I used the Chibitronics Starter Kit along with our Newton Loves Cake Stamp Set to create a fun interactive birthday card! I thought this image would be perfect with all the candles on top of the cake! I stamped the image on watercolor paper and colored it with inktense pencils in fun bright colors. Then I pieced tiny holes in the flames and set up two little chibi lights behind them. When you press the kitty, the candles light up!

I hope you have had as much fun this week seeing all the light-up cards as we have had creating them!
