Pumpkin Spice Fall Card!

Now that it's September, our thoughts are turning to Fall and Pumpkin Spice season! Maria created an amazing Fall themed card today using several of our favorite Fall stamp sets!

This fun card features the adorable girl with the coffee cup from our Pumpkin Latte Stamp Set and cutting the image out using our Pumpkin Latte Die Set. She added her to a framed scene along with a bunch of little leaves from the Autumn Mice Stamp Set and cut them out with the coordinating Autumn Mice Die Set. 

For the scene inside the frame she used our Clouds Stencil to create layers of orange and pink clouds in the sky. She added green hills, die cut with our Land Borders Die Set. Then she stamped the big sentiment over the cloudy background using our Fall-in for You Stamp Set. She also added the "PSL" and some leaves from the Pumpkin Latte Stamp Set on the background.

I Love Fall Most of All Card by September Guest Designer Stephanie Davis

Hello everyone! I'm so happy to be back guesting again with Newton's Nook!! Today I'm sharing a fall card inspired by the adorable Autumn Mice stamp set. My favorite way to make cards is to combine old and new stamp sets, it's so fun and I often can't help myself!

When I began creating this card, I found so many sets that went perfectly to build a wreath of fall mice. First, I cut out my card panel out of kraft cardstock using the Framed Square Die. Then I stamped multiple images from Autumn Mice, Garden Mice, Pumpkin Latte, and Harvest Tails onto masking paper and cut them out. Then began building my wreath and attached all of the masks with washi tape to a circle stencil. This made it simple to place each stamp before stamping with my MISTI. I stamped each image with a no line coloring ink pad. Then colored all of the images with Copic Markers, using the no line coloring technique. I after coloring with Copic markers, I love to add even more shadows and detail with colored pencils.



Then I stamped the sentiment from Fall Fringe with black ink in the center of the wreath. Lastly, I blended some Distress Ink in Aged Mahogany using the Falling Leaves Stencil. I thought the blended leaves looked so beautiful peeking behind the card panel. I adhered the card panel to the card base using foam squares to complete the card. I had so much fun coloring all of these adorable images, it truly was a labor of love!

Happy Howl-oween Card by Larissa Heskett

Howl-oween!

If you like Halloween and dogs, you will adore this card by Larissa! She created this fun Halloween card featuring our Happy Howl-oween Stamp Set. The two dogs in this set are so cute in the costumes! She colored them in fun bright colors and then cut them out using the coordinating Happy Howl-oween Die Set. She created a fun setting for the dogs by creating a starry background using our Cascading Stars Stencil with yellow and blue ink. Then she added a hill using our Land Borders Die Set and a fence using our Fence Die Set. She even added in a couple of bats from our Witchy Newton Stamp Set.

She finished the scene off by adding candies from the Happy Howl-oween Stamp Set. She framed the scene with a postage edged border from our Framework Die Set.

Just a Little Note Card by Andrea Shell

Just a Little Note!

Today Andrea created an adorable card that's perfect for sending a note to a friend who likes dogs! She created this card combining elements from several different stamp sets. She started with the corgi from our Corgi Beach Stamp Set and combined him with the typewriter from our My Type Stamp Set. She colored both images and cut them out using the coordinating Corgi Beach Die Set and My Type Die Set. She added the "Just a little note" sentiment from the Garden Mice Stamp Set, which ties the images together perfectly. For the striped background she used our Serene Stripes Stencil.

The fun layers were created using our two favorite shape sets! The postage edge frame is from the Framework Die Set.  The rounded rectangle and flag are from the Frames & Flags Die Set and the stitched circle is from the Frames Squared Die Set. These three die sets are essential for layering and work great together!

STAMPtember Exclusive: Let's Pawty Stamp Set

And, of course, I had to play with the set to show you what you can create with it!  I created a duo of cards using the same layout, one with a dog and one with a cat!

For the cat themed card I stamped the image of the kitty to start. Then I masked off the kitty's hand and added the balloon on top. That way the string goes behind the hand and it looks like he's holding it. Of course I had to color the kitty orange, since our kitty Newton is an orange tabby. I used Zig Clean Color Brush Markers to color the image. Once the kitty and balloon were colored, I masked off the whole kitty and balloon so I could created a background. I used our Clouds Stencil for the sky and our Hills & Grass Stencil for the ground. 

I added the sentiment "Let's Paw-ty from the new stamp set, embossed in white on a banner that was cut out using our Frames & Flags Die Set.  I also used our Frames & Flags Die Set to cut out the stitched rectangle panel and the scalloped edged panel. I finished the card by stamping the birthday hat from the set and fussy cutting it out to add to the kitty. 

For the dog themed card I created the card the same way, stamping the image of the dog and then masking his paw to add the balloon. Again, I colored the image with watercolor markers and then masked it off to add the background with our Clouds Stencil for the sky and our Hills & Grass Stencil for the ground. 

Again, I used our rames & Flags Die Set for the stitched and scalloped edges and the black banner. On this card I used the "Happy Birthday" Sentiment.

I hope you like the idea of creating two cards that are similar but just a little different! It's a great way to save time while you are card making because you don't have to think about each layout and can use the same one several times!

Pumpkin Spice Season Card by Zsofia Molnar

It's Pumpkin Spice Season!  

Now that it is September, we are getting more excited for Fall! Today, Zsofia created this gorgeous Fall card featuring our new Pumpkin Latte Stamp Set. She used the adorable image of the girl carrying coffee from the set along with the little pumpkin and leaves. She colored the images in beautiful fall colors and cut them out using our Pumpkin Latte Die Set.

For her card, she created a lovely Fall scene for the girl using several die sets. She used our Frames & Flags Die Set for the stitched rounded rectangle. She added orange grass using our Land Borders Die Set and a fence using our Fence Die Set. The tree in the background was cut out using our Forest Scene Builder Die Set. These dies all create an awesome scene when used together! She also added the sentiment "Happy Pumpkin Spice Season" From the Pumpkin Latte Stamp Set, placed onto a speech bubble that was cut out using our Speech Bubbles Die Set!

Fall Is My Favorite Color Card by September Guest Designer Stephanie Davis

Hi crafty friends! My name is Stephanie Davis, aka The Gypsy Chic. I’m a wife and mom of three kids, and one yellow lab named Bella. We've moved over a dozen times all over the USA, from the west coast to the east coast. We are currently living in Charlotte, North Carolina. I discovered scrapbooking when my oldest was a baby with Close to my Heart, and I was hooked on paper crafting! Soon I discovered new stamp companies, and started a YouTube Channel to share and meet new crafty friends who love all brands. Hello crafty friends!   I'm so excited to be guest designer for Newton's Nook this month!  

Today I'm sharing a shaker card I created using the beautiful Fall Fringe stamp set.  To make this card I stamped the images onto watercolor paper and embossed it with gold embossing powder.  

Then I watercolored the images with Daniel Smith and Sennelier watercolors.  Then I die cut the frame and card panel using the Frames Squared Die Set.  

This die set made turning this card into a shaker card so easy!  I heat embossed the sentiment onto heat resistant acetate, and assembled my shaker card.
