Hi everyone, my name is
Ildi and I live in Budapest, Hungary with my wonderful and supportive husband. We share our home with three cats and three dogs.
My passion for cardmaking started many years ago and became an important part of my life. I love coloring, masking and scene building the most love and of course I love collecting the cutest stamp sets from all around the world.
When I’m not in my craft room I love clicker training my pets and hiking with my dogs.

Newton and Friends on the Beach
Hello everyone, my name is
Ildi and I’m super excited and feel honored to be guest designing for Newton’s Nook this month.
We’re having a really hot summer here in Europe, so I often find myself dreaming of a day off at the beach. It gave me the idea to create two similar cards which together make a larger beach scene where Newton and his friends are having fun.
For a start I took two pieces of cardstock and attached them together on the back with a piece of removable adhesive tape so that I could handle them as one while creating the background. I tore a larger piece of paper in half and placed it diagonally on the cardstock.
I applied different shades of yellow, orange and brown Distress Inks onto the bottom area to create sand then took the negative piece of my torn paper, covered the colored area to create sea with blue Oxide Inks. To add a little texture I used a white gel pen to draw sea foam here and there.
I colored and fussy cut a bunch of elements from my favorite summer themed Newton’s Nook stamp sets:
Newton’s Summer Treats and
Newton’s Summer Vacation.
I found some pretty seashells in the mini set
Vitamin Sea, found them perfect to have interesting details.
I attached my colored elements with foam dots to add dimension to my cards.
Thank you for stopping by!
