Mischievous Kitty Christmas Card!

Larissa here today to share a FESTIVE Meowy Christmas Card in May!! The temperatures this last week in Nebraska have been more like winter than our winter weather was, so it put me in a Christmas Card making mood! Not to mention we went to a Junkstock Event and were shopping for Christmas gifts!! So, I thought it would be FUN to pull out some Christmas products to create a card to get me started on my stash!! Can you believe it's only 7 months until Christmas?

This card features:

Newton’s Stocking Stamp Set

Meowy Christmas Paper Pad

I Started by stamping and embossing the image from Newton's Christmas Tree Stamp Set using Versa Fine Black Onyx Ink and Embossing with WoW Clear Gloss Embossing Powder!! Then I colored the image in using Copic Markers!! Then I used the coordinating Newton's Christmas Tree Die Set to die cut the image out!! I added some White Gel Pen highlights and used a Black Glaze Pen to add the shiny noses!! 

Next, I die cut the Circle Frames from some White Cardstock and some of the Meowy Christmas Paper Pad!! I inked the white circle with some Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink and then I stamped and embossed the sentiment from the Newton's Stocking Stamp Set!! I adhered it to the patterned paper scalloped circle frame and adhered the image using some foam tape for some dimension!! 

 

 

I then die cut more of the Meowy Christmas Paper using the Frames & Flags Die Set!! I adhered it to a white cardstock cardbase using Foam Tape for more dimension!! SQUEAL!! I LOVE how this turned out and I can't wait to spread some Christmas cheer!!

 

I hope this INSPIRES you to look at your Christmas products and pull some of your FAVORITES out to get a start on your Christmas cards!! There's only 7 months left to get crafty, and if it’s like the rest of this year it's FLYING by WAY TOO FAST!!

Coffee + Holiday Cheer! Card by Donna Idlet

Coffee + Holiday Cheer!

Today we are sharing a Christmas card that is perfect for sending to a coffee lover! This card features our Newton Loves Coffee Stamp Set, A2 Card Layout Die Set and Christmas Paper Pads. 

To start out, Donna created a beautiful holiday background using our A2 Card Layout Die Set. She chose several pretty patterns from our Christmas Time Paper Pad our and Meowy Christmas Paper Pad that she thought looked nice together. She used the die set multiple times with the papers so that she had all of the pieces in the different patterns. Then she assembled the pieces onto a red card base. 

Next she stamped the image of the kitty hugging a coffee from our Newton Loves Coffee Stamp Set. She colored the mug in red and green to match the background patterns and give it a holiday feel. She also added to the holiday theme by adding a Santa hat using our Christmas Puppies Stamp Set. The images were cut out using the coordinating Newton Loves Coffee Die Set and Christmas Puppies Die Set. 

She chose a sentiment from our Ornamental Wishes Stamp Set for the holiday cheer message, stamping it onto an oval that was cut out using our Oval Frames Die Set.

This coffee themed holiday card is also perfect for the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge! Newton's Nook Designs is featured on their challenge for the month of August and we hope you will join in the fun!

No Peeking! Cat Christmas Card by Larissa Heskett

Kitty Christmas Card!

Today we are sharing an adorable kitty themed Christmas card by Larissa! 

For this fun card, she started by using the kitten wearing a Santa hat from our A Kitten Christmas Stamp Set and the cat peeking out of the gift box from our Newton's Gift Stamp Set. For both images she colors the kitties in neutral brown with lots of fur details and speckles! So cute! Then she colors the hat and gifts in Christmas reds and greens, adding details to the image with a white gel pen. She also added a tiny bell to the Santa hat! She cut the cat image out using the coordinating A Kitten Christmas Die Set and the Newton's Gift Die Set.

For her card base she started with a white card and then layered the plaid patterned paper from the Meowy Christmas Paper Pad, cutting it out with our Frames & Flag Die Set to give it a scalloped edge. 

Behind the kitties and gifts she used our Petite Snow Stencil to add sparkly snow the the background, inking over it with a light blue. The kitties and gifts were layered on top to create a cozy Christmas scene!

Happy Fall Shaker Card by Larissa Heskett

 

Happy Fall Shaker Card!

Today we are shaking up some fall fun with a cozy shaker card by Larissa! 

For this fun card, she started by using the Circle Frames Die Set to die cut out the circle shaker front from some white cardstock. She also added a little bit of soft blue ink around the edges. The image was stamped from Harvest Haul Stamp Set and then die cut out with the Harvest Haul Die Set. She then added the sentiment from Newton's Harvest Time Stamp Set onto some kraft paper and then die cut that out with the Banner Trio Die Set.

 

 

 She framed the whole thing with some paper from the Meowy Christmas Paper Pad that was die cut with the largest die from the Frames & Flags Die Set.

Hug in a Mug Card by Larissa Heskett

Hug in a Mug!

Newton is getting ready for a cozy holiday on this card by Larissa! 

To create this gorgeous card she started by stamping the images of the big kitty in the mug from our Newton's Mug Stamp Set and two smaller holiday mugs from our Cup of Cocoa Stamp Set. She colored all three images in gorgeous bright holiday colors and added white gel pen details to each image. The images were cut out using the coordinating Newton's Mug Die Set and Cup of Cocoa Die Set.

She also added in two tiny candy canes a holly burst from our A Kitten Christmas Stamp Set (cut out using the coordinating A Kitten Christmas Die Set) to add to the festive feeling!

The images were all arranged on a circle that was cut out using our Circle Frames Die Set from our Meowy Christmas Paper Pad.

For the fun case base, she created a background pattern by repeatedly stamping the mug images from the Cup of Cocoa Stamp Set in black and adding black paint splatters. Some pretty red, green, and snowflake shaped embellishments finish out this amazing card!

Sweet Holiday Kitty Card by Donna Idlet

Peppermints + Kitties!

Today Donna has created a card that includes two of our holiday favorites: sweet peppermints and kitties! 

In the card center she features an image of Newton candy cane and some peppermint candies from our Newton's Candy Cane Stamp Set. She colored the images in bright holiday colors and added glitter to the white portions of the Santa hat for a fun bit of sparkle! She cut the images out using the coordinating Newton's Candy Cane Die Set. 

For the card base she chose the paper from our Meowy Christmas Paper Pad that features the same candy cane kitty image and cut a piece to fill the card front. She layered a vellum oval over the center, cut out using our Oval Frames Die Set. The message "Wishing you a SWEET holiday!" from the Newton's Candy Cane Stamp Set was embossed onto the oval. She also added a couple of pine boughs to the top of the oval, cut out using our Pines & Holly Die Set, for a festive touch!

Isn't it fun how the stamped image coordinates purr-fectly with the paper? There are so many fun paper patterns like this that match our stamps! Make sure to look through and find your favorite pairings!

Winter Thank You Card by Larissa Heskett

 

Farm Friends Say Thank You! 

Today we have a lovely card by Larissa that reminds us to continue to use those holiday stamps after the holidays for warm winter thank you cards! What a great idea!

Her card today features that adorable stack of farm animals donned in scarves from our Dairy Christmas Stamp Set. She colored these cute farm friends using bright cheerful winter colors using copic markers. Don't you just love that rainbow scarf and blanket!? She also added pink to their cheeks and glitter to the brims of the hats. White gel pen accents really add more fun detail too! She cut the image out using the coordinating Dairy Christmas Die Set to add to her card. 

For her card, she made a simple blue sky and added snowflake sequins. She added the "Thanks so much" sentiment from the Floral Roundabout Stamp Set, stamped onto a white banner that was die cut using our Banner Trio Die Set. 

She also created a background panel using a gingham print paper from our Meowy Christmas Paper Pad and cutting it out with our Frames & Flags Die Set to give it the fun scalloped edge.

Here is what I created for the hop today:

Today I created this fun card using our new Meowy Christmas Paper Pad. If you didn't know, I am the creator at Newton's Nook Designs, and I design all the products in our shop. I have been wanting to create papers for a long time and I am super excited about adding these paper pads to our product line! I had so much fun creating all these fun patterns using Newton and Christmas colors! 

For my card today, I wanted to showcase some of these fun prints together. So I cut them into long strips and adhered them to a card front sized panel. Then I used our Framework Die Set to trim out the panel, giving it a fun postage edge. 

Next, I  used the sentiment "Santa Paws is coming" from our Newton's Stocking Stamp Set and stamped it onto a circle that was die cut using our Circle Frames Die Set.  I framed it with a second circle, cut from lime green paper using the same die set. Then a fun red ribbon adds a finishing touch. 

This card was really simple to make and would be easy to create multiples of for holiday cards! I hope you enjoyed it and will check out our new Paper Pads!

Here's what Channin created:

Christmas is all about holly and berries, right!? This gorgeous card by Channin features the beautiful image of holiday berries and foliage in a heart shape from our Heartfelt Holidays Stamp Set. She stamped the image with a light colored ink so she could color it in the "no line" coloring technique. This technique really looks amazing on this image! The soft edges really give it such a lovely hand colored look!! She cut the image out by hand to create the heart shape. Here is a close-up so you can see all the amazing details:

For her card base, she used the red gingham patterned paper from our new Meowy Christmas Paper Pad. This coordinates perfectly with the image, adding the to festive feel! The finishing touch is the sentiment "Joyful Tidings" from the Heartfelt Holidays Stamp Set, embossed in white right onto the patterned paper!

 

This card has such an amazing fun and festive feeling! It will definitely bring joy to the recipient this holiday season!

Hello!! I'm Brenda Noelke and I blog over at mypapercutcreations. I am a small town girl from Union, MO. I have been married to my wonderful husband for almost 25 years and have two furbaby golden retrievers. I'm super excited to be a guest for Deck the Halls with Inky Paws this year!!

Brenda created TWO Amazing Holiday Cards Today:

Her first card features a cozy scene of two kids bringing home a Christmas tree! Isn't this so perfect for celebrating holiday traditions? She stamped the images of the kids along with the house and clusters of trees from our Holiday Home Stamp Set. She colored all the images in traditional holiday colors using gorgeous reds and greens and some neutral browns. She used the coordinating Holiday Home Die Set to cut the images out. 

For her card base, she created a scene by inking in soft blues for the snow drifts and sky. She added the house along the top, nestling trees on each side. Then she placed the kids along the bottom so they are walking towards the home. So cute! She left room for the large sentiment, also from the Holiday Home Stamp Set to the right of the image. She also added some red to the letters of the sentiment too. And the extra special touch is bits of flock on the snowy areas of the house and tree!

For her second card, Brenda used our Snow Much Cheer Stamp Set to create a snowy card that is full of cheer! 

This happy card uses the image of the snowman couple from our Snow Much Cheer Stamp Set. Just looking at those cute snow people makes you feel happy! She colored them in bright and happy shades of red and green, adding accents with a white gel pen. She used the Snow Much Cheer Die Set to cut the image out. She created a cute little scene for the snowy pair, adding a hill along the bottom and inking the sky in blue. Snowflakes from the Snow Much Cheer Stamp Set stamp set were embossed onto the sky and the sentiment was stamped below them.

This cute little scene was framed with a red scalloped frame that was die cut out using our Framework Die Set. Then she layered it over a fun plaid background that was created using a piece of paper from our Meowy Christmas Paper Pad. So fun!
