Coffee is Always a Good Idea Card by Amanda Bodine

Coffee is Always a Good Idea Card by Amanda Bodine | Cuppa Cactus and Newton Loves Coffee Stamp Sets by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

Coffee is ALWAYS a good idea!

If you've had a long week, you're probably enjoying a bit of coffee this Friday morning and this card by Amanda will definitely make you smile! She created a trio of cute cacti in coffee cups using our Cuppa Cactus Stamp Set! She colored them using fun bright colors and trimmed them out using the coordinating Cuppa Cactus Die Set.  She created a fun chalkboard panel for her card and added the "coffee is ALWAYS a good idea" sentiment from our Newton Loves Coffee stamp set. This sentiment pairs perfectly with those fun cactus mugs! Plus, the fun bright colors really pop off over that black! Hopefully this card woke you up a bit if your coffee hasn't kicked in yet!

Thanks for the caffeine inspiration today, Amanda! To see more of her beautiful coloring and projects, visit Amanda over at her blog,  RutabagaPie Designs!

Custom Holiday Envelopes by Tatiana Trafimovich

Custom Holiday Envelopes by Tatiana Trafimovich | Newton's Happy Mail Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

Make the Envelope Special!

After you've spent al that time making the perfect holiday card, don't forget to make the envelope special too! Today Tatiana is sharing a trio of fun custom envelopes she created featuring our Newton's Happy Mail Stamp Set. She created her own envelopes using Bristol paper and then stamped the Kitty in the mailbox from the Newton's Happy Mail Stamp Set on the front. She used some creative masking to add on the snow shovel in front of the mailbox from our Frozen Friends Stamp Set. She also masked the corner of the cats head to add a Santa hat onto him using the hat from the Newton's Holiday Mischief Stamp Set.  Isn't it fun how a little creative masking can turn any set into a Holiday one!? The holly on the mailbox is also from the Newton's Holiday Mischief Stamp Set. So cute!

Custom Holiday Envelopes by Tatiana Trafimovich | Newton's Happy Mail Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade
Once the images were all masked and stamped, she used zig clean color watercolor markers to color them. For the first one she added several colors but she also created a version using just grey and red and one that's completely black and white! Depending on how much time you have, you could keep them really simple!

Pug Hugs Card by September Guest Designer Tracy Freeman

I can't believe my guest design term is over with Newtons Nook It has gone so quick and I have loved every part of it.

I thought as it was my last week I would use my favourite Newtons Nook Stamp set, Pug Hugs. I adore all things Newton but this set just gets me every time (I am also a HUGE pug fan)

I stamped the image and sentiment onto some Canson Watercolor paper using my Misti and then used my Missiongold Watercolours to colour this cutie.

I went with fairly loose watercoloring and added some colours around him and "ground".
Whilst that was drying I took some plaid paper and two dies that I have and created the frame. I love getting more out of my dies and this is an easy way to do that.

I then adhered the watercolour piece flat to the card base and for the plaid piece I used some foam time to add some dimension.

To finish off I added some Clear Droplets and he was done.

I wanted to give a huge thank you to everyone for all your lovely and kind comments and also to the Newtons Nook family for having me as a guest, I really have loved it and I'm very grateful to have been a guest for you.

Happy Crafting!
Tracy

Autumn Fun Card by Guest Designer Tracy Freeman

Hey guys September is going by so quickly !

Today I am sharing a Autumn card with you made with the super cute Autumn Newton Stamp Set.
Autumn Cat Card by Guest Designer Tracy Freeman | Autumn Newton Stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

I watercolored this piece after stamping him onto some Canson Watercolour Card. I wanted to go for a black kitty with a white face to match one of my own kitties.

I had a lot of fun watercoloring the leafs all the different colours and tones and as I wanted the image to be the main focus I added some basic shading around him.

I die cut the main piece out along with some Gina K card stock and Echo Park patterned paper and then used a scallop border die from Simon Says stamp along the edge of the red card before heat embossing the sentiment.

To finish the card off I added some natural twine and adhered all the pieces to an A2 top folding notecard and it was done.

Have you checked out the new release ? All I can say is I am glad it is my birthday month because I want to buy the whole release!

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you have a great day!

Happy Crafting!
-Tracy

Here's what I created:
Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! Coffee card by Jennifer Jackson using Fall-ing for You and Newton Loves Coffee Stamp Sets and Falling Leaves Stencil by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade
We have two coffee themed sets that I really love (Newton Loves Coffee and Fall-ing for You)and I couldn't decide which one to use for our post today so I decided to use them both together, along with our NEW Falling Leaves Stencil!  I started out by creating a background with the Falling Leaves Stencil. I love how the leaves change in size from top to bottom and decided to ink over them with fall colors to give an ombré effect from red to yellow!

Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! Coffee card by Jennifer Jackson using Fall-ing for You and Newton Loves Coffee Stamp Sets and Falling Leaves Stencil by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

Next, I stamped the big sentiment from the Fall-ing for You Stamp Set stamp set onto vellum and embossed it. Then I stamped the kitty with the coffee mug from the Newton Loves Coffee Stamp Set and cut him out withe the coordinating Newton Loves Coffee Die Set. I decided I needed a second mug so I stamped the mug from the Fall-ing for You Stamp Set and colored it to go next to him. This set doesn't have a coordinating die set but it was pretty simple to fussy cut out the mug.

I put all the pieces together and added a couple little strips of washi tape to help hold down the vellum panel. I really love how this turned out and how great these images look together!  I also had a ton of fun creating it!

Here are the supplies I used:
